Nanny beamed as Daddy listed all the things that Nanny did to help with me.
When he said discipline, I thought that I’d die, but again Uncle Ned didn’t bat an eye. He either knew about all this from the get go (unlike me), or he’d had a little girl, too. The way he talked about his wife made me really believe that was the case. This was just more common than I thought.
The doorbell rang. We all jumped up. Nanny grabbed me by my arm and warned me to behave myself, or she’d pull me upstairs for a good paddling.
Uncle Ned assured her that I’d be on my best behavior.
I nodded up at Nanny, agreeing with him.
She let me go, and we walked out into the hall with some form of dignity. I stood a few steps behind Daddy. They’d already been let in. Daddy was hugging his brother, and then he shook Nancy’s hand politely.
His brother gave me a kiss on the cheek. I blushed, and they all laughed.
Nancy gave me a hug while Uncle Ned was hugging Daddy’s brother, Martin. Uncle Ned was calling him that.
He gave Nancy a kiss on the cheek to and made a bit of short talk with her. He didn’t give her a candy cane.
Servants took their bags up to their rooms except a few bags that Nancy wanted to have taken into the living room. She went up to change, and Martin went into the living room with the rest of us. When she came back down, she was dressed in a warm but elegant dress with fur at the sleeves and collar.
Uncle Ned came forward with his candy cane then. She gave him a nod and thanked him. She was a lot more elegant than I was, but she was unsure what to do with her candy cane.
“I hung mine on the tree for tomorrow,” I told her.
She smiled then and went to the tree and found a place for hers, too. She sat down next to me on the sofa.
Nanny cleaned up her things and moved to an out of the way spot and continued to work. She was still right there if I needed any attention.
I asked Nancy about her trip here. She told me about the plane having to land in Nashville. They’d had to stand around the airport there forever. She admitted that she was still so tired.
“No complaining,” Martin said as he gave her a look. His fingers had moved to his belt. We all got the warning quite clearly.
Nancy was embarrassed.
Quickly, I changed the topic to what we’d planned for tomorrow and the big meal we’d planned for this evening too.
She didn’t look interested in a big meal.
“Don’t worry we have so much planned that I don’t think anyone will be able to clean their plates.” I gave her a big smile. I didn’t want her to be nervous anymore. I hoped she’d relax.
“I was hoping that I could lose a bit of weight.” She looked really worried.
“Is that safe? I mean you’re already so thin.”
“Amelia,” Nanny proclaimed as she jumped to her feet.
I paled instantly as we both looked at Daddy. I could feel tears building.
“She’s right, Nancy,” Martin spoke before anyone else could. “Brian would probably tell you the same thing. Amelia was just telling you about some of the trouble that they’ve gone to to make our stay here as pleasant as possible, and you refuse it before you even see it. This is your last warning Missy.” He drew his attention back to the other men.
Nanny sat down, and my heart slowly returned to normal.
“I’m so sorry,” I whispered to her.
She was beet red and didn’t know what to say. We sat in silence for a while.
“Do you play the piano?” I asked her. I felt like singing again.
“Yes, I do,” she answered confused.
“Would you play for me?”
“I don’t know.” She looked over at her husband who shrugged and talked to the men again. I head words like Austria and Switzerland. They were congratulating Daddy for his work there.
“Please, Nancy. I can’t do it myself, and I need someone to accompany me.”
“Are you going to sing?” She looked surprised. Well, I was begging like a little girl.
Daddy got up and went to the piano. He sat down and looked through the music. “Come here, Amelia. I’ll do it. Then Nancy can see what you want.”
I went to Daddy and looked at what he’d picked out. He started to play and gave me a nod when I should start in.
I sang Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.
Daddy was grinning so big, and the rest of them just watched us.
I smiled at Daddy, and we sang a couple more songs.
Daddy stood, and I was disappointed. “Nancy, can you take over for me? Amelia wants to sing some more.”
Nancy came right over and picked out what she wanted to play. She had different tastes than Daddy. She picked out more traditional songs.
I stood behind her for the songs that I wasn’t sure about the text. I felt that she was having fun.
She got excited in between the songs asking if I knew this or that one. Then she asked if I could sing something more modern from the pop charts.
My hands moved of their own will to my backside. I shook my head and whispered that I wasn’t allowed. I apologized to her.
She nodded understanding.
When it was time to eat, she got fussy again. She asked for a plate with very little food on it. Martin’s hand went to his belt again, but she was turned away from him, so she didn’t see it.
When the food came out, she still complained that there was too much on her plate. Martin was starting to turn red.
We were all watching them. It just seemed a matter of time before it would happen. She just wasn’t stopping.
I thought about myself humming once Daddy was good and mad. I guessed everyone had moments like that when common sense just leaves them.
We started in eating. The men talked, and the women quietly ate.
I confessed to Nanny that I needed a bit of wrapping paper. I saw Daddy smile at me out of the corner of his eye. He was talking to Ned about their next project. They tried to talk to Martin about the oil business, but he was too busy watching his wife’s plate.
I started watching her, too. I had a feeling like she had an eating disorder. His hand was resting on his belt buckle the whole time while she pushed her food around.
I had yet to see her take a bite. I’d cleaned my plate, and I was looking forward to the dessert. We’d be having chocolate mousse. My portion was only going to be half of what everyone else was getting. Daddy and Nanny worried that the chocolate would make me sick again.
The servants came to take our plates. Martin stopped the maid from taking his wife’s plate. “She isn’t finished yet.”
“Martin,” she whined.
Nanny shook her head. I figured that Nanny was thinking that girl was embarrassing herself.
I felt uncomfortable watching them. I wished she’d just eat, but I was thinking that she had a medical problem.
The dessert came. Her eyes were on my half portion. My eyes were on everyone else’s whole portion.
She made a shocked sound when I got the smaller portion. She looked at her husband. “I want a half a portion too.”
“Amelia gets sick if she eats too much chocolate. She’s lucky that she’s getting this much,” Daddy informed her.
I blushed at his words.
He reached out and patted my hand.
I started eating. Nanny had told me that everyone would wait for me to start eating because I was the lady of the house. It was just like at Thanksgiving. They started eating then, too.
Well, not Nancy. She was still being stubborn.
After everyone, but Nancy, had finished. The servants were removing the dishes.
Daddy suggested that we go back to the living room.
Nancy was the first out of her chair. She looked somehow triumphant.
I was guessing that she thought that he wouldn’t enforce the rules here like he did at home. I was thinking that she was just about to get it.
Martin jumped up and grabbed her arm. He
very deftly removed his belt with one hand. “We’ll join you when Nancy is finished.”
“Martin please, no. I’ll eat,” she pleaded.
Uncle Ned held the door for Nanny and gave her a slight bow as she passed through.
Daddy had me by my hand. He pulled me out and shut the door behind him.
I could already hear him laying into her. She wasn’t screaming yet, but I figured that she would.
“Daddy, do you think she has an eating disorder?”
“Yes, but Martin is taking care of it. What you said to her today may have helped her. You know what they say out of the mouths of babes, but you really do have to think more before you say anything. Nanny wanted to paddle you for that. Martin saved you.” Daddy smiled at me, and we walked into the living room. He closed the door behind us.
Still, I could hear them, she was screaming now and promising. I hoped she’d keep her promise and clean her plate.
Uncle Ned was talking to Nanny, and I colored some more. I really was getting better.
Daddy sat on the sofa, reading a book. I cuddled up to his feet, and he smiled at me. I tried to drown out the sounds, but it just kept going. I was shaking a little every time it started up again.
I figured that she still refused to eat.
About an hour later they came in. I tried not to stare, but it was hard not to. Martin was older than Daddy, and he was more muscular.
Daddy was trim, lean and very strong, but Martin was truck driver strong. He had bulk, like Uncle Ned did. I couldn’t help thinking that each had inherited something from him.
I hoped he wouldn’t ever be mad at me. Nancy was shaking, and she had a bit of food on her clothes. Martin gave her a shove in the direction of the sofa.
She hovered by it and didn’t sit down. The whole room was very quiet.
Martin, who also had a bit of food on him sat down across from Daddy and started talking to him as if nothing had happened.
I finished my picture and then got my sewing out. Nanny had me working on a tablecloth for the coffee table. It was coming along nicely.
I waited for Nancy to calm down a bit and sit down.
If Daddy had to spank me, then he’d have put me down for a nap afterwards, and he’d have washed the food off of me before he put me there.
I was glad I had my Daddy and not anyone else.
I moved over to Nanny. I whispered into her ear that I had to go to the bathroom.
She nodded and brought me up to my room.
I reminded her about the paper I needed. She went and got me some. I secretly wrapped my gifts and held them behind my back.
We returned downstairs, and I lay my presents under the tree.
I tried to do it secretly, but when I turned around, all eyes were on me. Daddy was smiling at me. I blushed and sat back down.
Nancy was sitting on the sofa, too. She was reading a book. I sat down by her and sewed. After a bit, a couple maids came in with the cookies I’d made with the cook and hot chocolate.
Daddy stood up and got a book from the shelf. He sat down in between Nancy and I. The book was the Night Before Christmas. He laid an arm around me and started to read aloud.
I very childishly looked at all the pictures.
Daddy was thrilled that I was playing along, but truth be told, this was my first Christmas. I wanted to do everything just right.
Daddy gave me kiss, and then he gave me a present.
“I don’t understand. I thought that we’d open presents tomorrow?”
“You need this one right now.” He was beaming with pride. He was obviously up to something.
I carefully opened it. Daddy was shaking with laughter. I unwrapped a box. I smiled at Daddy and lifted the lid. In the box was a Christmas stocking with my name knitted into it. I stared at it for a while. I was crying. I’d gotten my first Christmas gift.
“Thank you, Daddy,” I whispered.
He jumped up and grabbed my hand and pulled me up so I was standing too. He pulled me over to the fireplace. Stockings for everyone else were already hanging there. Daddy pointed to his and next to it was an empty hook. I hung my stocking on it. He laid his arm around me. He turned me away from the crowd and called good night over his shoulder.
“But it’s only nine o’clock?” Nancy asked confused.
“Yes, it’s already past Amelia’s bedtime,” Daddy answered her.
I heard Uncle Ned say, “Yes, little girls need lots of rest.”
Daddy brought me upstairs and got me undressed. He was completely turned on, and he started suckling on my breasts the moment they were bared.
He was very intense in his lovemaking that night.
It felt like he was worshiping my body, making me feel sexy and desirable. I love this.
I had several orgasms before he pretended to fall asleep next to me. I was tired, but I was also excited about my first Christmas.
I heard Daddy sneak out and come back an hour later. I waited a bit and snuggled closer to him. He gave a satisfied sigh before he really fell asleep.
I drifted off to sleep safe in his arms.
Chapter 11 – Amelia’s First Christmas
Brian waited for his little angel to fall asleep. He hoped that he’d worn her out so that she’d sleep deeply. He sneaked into the bathroom and put on a pair of pajamas and a robe.
Brian just had to check on Amelia again. She was sleeping like the angel that she was. Her long dark hair surrounded her head like a halo.
He could hardly believe that she was his, and that he’d get to do this for her for the rest of their lives.
He quietly left the room.
Brian went into one of the unused bedrooms and got out a couple of sacks filled with gifts. One sack was just for Amelia. The other had their gifts for the rest of the family.
Brian was positively glowing as he went down the stairs to the living room. His brother and Uncle Ned were doing the same thing.
Uncle Ned was giving Martin a talking to. “Women are very gentle creatures. You have to be very careful with them.” Ned told his nephew.
“Are you saying I should just sit back and let her starve herself?” Martin defended his actions.
“No, but a more private punishment would have been in order. She was begging for it. We all saw that but – Brian, you’re the doctor what should he do?”
“Most women end up dying from their eating disorders. Do what you have to, Marty. But if my Amelia tried something like that, I’d give her a warning spanking before breakfast tomorrow. I wouldn’t let her ruin Christmas for everyone.”
“Let her? You think I let her pull that crap. No, she can’t seem to control herself. I’m really worried, and I don’t need advice from you. We’re getting professional help for it. Worry about your own problems. Is your wife locked in nice and tight so she can’t get away, Brian?”
“I don’t lock Amelia up.”
“Yes you do, and you beat her too. So stop calling me the black kettle.”
“Martin, what are you getting at?” Uncle Ned asked him.
“The servants were so worried that I got a call. They told me you almost killed her a week after the wedding because she wanted to leave.”
“That’s not true. She thought I wanted a divorce. She was just confused.”
“So you beat her practically to death?”
“I did not. I punished her, and she wasn’t used to punishment back then, so she screamed overly loud, but I didn’t stop spanking, because I knew that she had to learn that no one was going to stop me when she was being punished for being bad.”
“And afterwards you brushed her hair and put a pretty ribbon in it and put her in a little girl dress? Let me guess those boxes are filled with toys, like dolls and building blocks.”
Brian lunged at his brother, landing a couple of good blows.
Uncle Ned deftly grabbed each by an arm and pulled them apart. “Now boys this has got to stop. Brian is in his own home, and Amelia doesn’t look like she’s
suffering. And Brian I believe that Martin is doing what he can for his wife. How do you think he likes hearing that you’re predicting that she’s going to die? You each have to respect the other as the head of their own family.”
“Yes, Uncle Ned,” Brian quickly answered.
Uncle Ned smiled at his favorite nephew. He was proud of the boy, and he knew that Brian felt very strongly about protecting his little wife. The boy would only punish her if it were necessary.
Uncle Ned looked at Martin who did look a lot older than he had a couple of months ago. His problems were really taking a toll on him.
“Yes, Uncle Ned.” Martin moved his arm so he could pull it away from the old man. Uncle Ned had always been very good to them. He wanted their best. “I’m sorry, Brian. I guess I was just a little jealous because your wife seems to be so perfect, and she behaves just like you want her to. Mine as you all saw this evening doesn’t. I’m really worried about her.” He sat down on the sofa and buried his head in his hands.
“If you want, I can set up a drip for her. It might embarrass her into eating,” Brian offered.
“I don’t know. I’ll think about it okay.”
“Hey, I’ll help you in anyway I can.” Brian laid his arm around his brother. The idea of Amelia doing something like that would hurt him beyond words. “If Amelia pulled something like, that I’d spank her beforehand, so she wouldn’t embarrass herself. I call those warning spankings.
“Please, don’t make any jokes tomorrow because she’s getting building blocks. She plays with them every time she’s at my office, and I don’t make her do it. And yes, she’s locked up here. I couldn’t bear the thought of her not being here one day when I came home from work. I don’t think that she’d runaway, but I can’t bear to chance it. I love her more than anything else in the whole world, and when she looks at me with those amazing blue eyes and calls me Daddy, I just feel so good and right. I can’t risk losing her, ever.”
“I’ve got Nancy locked in, too. She’d take off and waste away somewhere if I didn’t take care of her. I’m not judging you. You mean the world to me. I’d help you too if you ever needed it.” Martin laughed to himself. “My god, we sound like some talk show.”
