  "I thought you wanted to be rid of me, that you had just used me to satisfy your physical desires and were afraid that I would expect you to…to…" Casey tried to explain.

  "To marry you," Flint finished, for her, smiling at the flush that filled her cheeks. "I decided to marry you that day when you apologized to me so prettily. And now I'm going to do that. We're going to be married just as soon as we can get the license." He paused, his eyes roving over her face possessively. "And the wedding gown as pure a white as the petals on the prickle poppy."

  "I thought the bride was supposed to arrange the wedding," Casey laughed breathlessly, enthralled by the love beaming out of his gray eyes.

  "Usually," Flint agreed, pulling her back toward him to sprinkle kisses along the throbbing cord of her neck, pausing long enough to whisper in her ear, "but I'm afraid you might take too long and I don't think I can wait."

  Casey gasped at the desire in his voice as she turned her mouth to find his, managing to murmur, "You're the boss man!"
