“Thank you so much,” Derek said, standing up and shaking Solar’s hand. “How can we repay you?”
“No payment is necessary. We just happened to stumble upon these two.” It was a great coincidence that they found the girls and somehow I would have to find the money to pay them, whether they find Nate or not. They weren’t a charity club.
“We’ll leave you to it, if you need anything don’t hesitate to let us know,” I said as I climbed to my feet. It was great that the girls were back at home safely with their families but it made me miss Nate that much more.
“Can we please sleep at my house tonight?” I asked Solar as we left Carol and Derek’s house.
“Of course, flower.” We climbed back into the car and drove down the road and around the corner until Solar was pulling into my driveway. I yawned and sobbed at the same time. I still couldn’t believe that I was going through this, I just wanted to wake up in hopes of it all being a bad dream. I don’t know how long I sat there staring at my house, until Solar had opened up my door and was ushering me into the house. I hurried straight down the hall until I reached Nate’s room. I pushed his door open, flicked on the light and leant against the door frame, his bed was still messy and his toys were all over the place. I panicked that his room was losing his scent, I grabbed his favourite teddy bear that was by the door. It was a small blue one that he was given the day that he was born. I pulled it up to my nose and inhaled the smell of my son. My chest hurt, my heart pounded like it was breaking. I wasn’t sure how long I could go on not knowing if I’ll ever get him back. I took comfort in the arm that wound around my waist, I leant back into his hard chest and looked into my son’s room once more.
“Please come home, Nate. I miss you,” I whispered through my tears.
“Come on, flower. Let’s get you to bed.” Solar reached around me and turned off the bedroom light and then picked me up, bridal style, and carried me to my room. I kept hold of Nate’s teddy and held it close to my chest as I wrapped one arm around Solar’s neck. He sat me on the edge of my bed and pulled my trainers off, followed by the hoodie that I had borrowed from Cammie. He pulled back the duvet and I slipped under it, laying my head on the pillow.
“I’ll be on the sofa,” he mumbled into my hair, followed by a kiss on the top of my head. I grabbed his hand before he got too far away.
“Please stay with me until I fall asleep.”
“Ok, flower.” He kicked off his boots and draped his leather jacket over my chair in the corner of the room before settling on the bed beside me. I snuggled up closer to him, resting my head on his chest and draping my arm across his stomach.
“Thank you for trying to find him today.”
“We’ll find him, I won’t stop until I do,” he said, determination lacing his voice. We lay there in silence for several minutes. I looked up to see if he had fallen asleep and he was looking at me; those green eyes were gorgeous. I moved my hand so that it was pressed against his chest and I leaned up and kissed him gently on the lips. I loved the way his soft beard felt against my skin. I expected it to be coarse and scratchy. He didn’t deepen it and neither did I, I just wanted to feel a connection to someone and I had that with him.
Chapter 7
Solar
I woke up feeling hot and well rested, it took me a minute to get my bearings straight in my head. I looked down at my chest to see that Jasmine still had her head resting on my shoulder and her palm covered my beating heart. She nuzzled in closer to me as she started waking up and the feel of her breasts rubbing against my rib cage caused my heart rate to pick up its pace and my cock to awaken.
“Mmm, that’s the best I’ve slept since Nate’s been gone. What time is it?” she mumbled, sleepily, before snuggling back into my chest. I dug my phone out of my pocket to see that it was only six in the morning.
“Um, it’s only six.” She rose her head from my chest to look at me.
“Why are you awake so early? I thought men liked to sleep in until lunch time?”
“Na, flower. Why do you think I got the name Solar? Always the first one awake, as soon as the sun hits me I’m up. In more ways than one.” I winked at her as I gently thrust my hips off the bed.
“Oh.” She laid her head back on my chest and started running her finger in circles over my stomach. Oh how I wanted her hand to go lower, but no, I couldn’t go there with her, she was too good for me. I had a shady past and didn’t want her to know the real me; the one that I hid away so carefully.
I cleared my throat and jumped off the bed. “I need some coffee.” I pushed my feet into my boots and grabbed my leather cut. I really needed to head back to my place for a shower and a clean set of clothes. Prez said that a trip to Devon was on the agenda today so I needed to head to the clubhouse too.
I moved around Jasmine’s kitchen like I was at home, I knew where she kept the important stuff like the mugs, coffee and milk. As I waited for the kettle to boil, I grabbed her ‘Mum’ mug and placed a tea bag in it and carefully spooned in one and a half sugars. I poured the milk, coffee and sugar into my mug and then topped it up with hot water. Just as I was about to add the hot water to Jasmine’s tea she strutted around the corner.
“Wait, is that mine?”
“Yeah.” I laughed as I filled her mug with water, leaving enough room to add the milk. She looked into the mug and then smiled up at me.
“How many sugars?”
“One and a half.” I stirred the tea bag around in the cup a couple of times before removing it. I added a dash of milk, stirred it again and then handed it to her.
“How did you know how to make it right?” She frowned at me, pulling out a chair from under the kitchen table and sitting down.
“I watched you yesterday, flower.”
“You did?” she questioned.
“Yeah I did. You hungry?” She shook her head.
“But help yourself, if you want something. Or shall I make you something? A fry up? Omelette? Toast?” she asked, climbing to her feet.
“I’m fine, coffee is all I need.” And your sweet pussy. I shook my head trying to clear the thoughts from my dirty mind. I turned around to glance out through the window and I paused from taking a sip of my coffee when I saw that there was a car sitting in her neighbour’s driveway.
“When did your neighbours get home?” I asked, not looking at her over my shoulder. She was quiet and just as I was about to look over to her I felt her hand on my back, her body pressed against my side as she stood on her tiptoes to look past me.
“Oh, that’s Mr. Miller’s car. He must have got here early this morning. Oh look, there he is.” I slammed my mug down onto the kitchen worktop a bit harder than I probably should have, at least the mug didn’t break. I headed for the door, ignoring the calls from Jasmine asking what I was doing. I slammed the front door behind me and bounded down the steps, I walked across the small garden to the side of the driveway; I didn’t want to waste time by walking down the driveway and then up his driveway.
“Mr. Miller?” I asked. His head snapped up to look at me and then he took in my clothing. A look crossed his face, one that I had seen many times from lots of different people, a look to say that he was better than me.
“Who’s asking?” he barked, already being completely unhelpful.
“Mr. McGowan, member of the Cornish Crusaders MC and Jasmine’s boyfriend.”
“Boyfriend? I didn’t think she had a boyfriend. She doesn’t date.” My skin prickled when I learnt that he knew so much about her.
“It’s all new. Do you mind if I ask you a couple of questions?”
“Yes, I do mind. I’m very busy.” He picked up his brief case from the floor beside his car and started edging away from me.
“No, Mrs. Miller?” I asked, following behind him.
“We’ve separated. She won’t be coming here again. Tell Jasmine I’ll pop in and see her before I leave.”
“Do you do that often? Pop in and see my woman?” I cros
sed my arms over my chest and raised my brow at him.
“It’s called being neighbourly.”
“Speaking of neighbours, can I ask you a couple of questions about Jasmine’s son Nathan?”
“What about him?” He sighed like I was being an inconvenience.
“Was you aware that he was missing?” He sat on the steps outside of his house and looked up at me.
“I had heard about it, yes. That’s why I was going to pop in and see her. See if there was anything I could do to help.”
“And what could you do to help? What do you do for a living, Mr. Miller?”
“I was just going to offer her some support, a shoulder to cry on.” I bet you was.
“He’s not dead, Mr. Miller, just missing. Unless there is something you’re not telling me?”
“What?” He climbed to his feet. “No, why would I know anything?”
“How long are you going to be around for?”
“Just a couple of days.”
“Solar?” Jasmine called from her doorway. “This has been ringing.” She waved my mobile phone at me and I instantly placed my hand in my pocket to see that it was missing. “Oh, good morning, Mr. Miller,” she waved.
I headed back over to Jasmine and he followed me.
“I’m so sorry to hear about little Nathan,” he said as he wrapped his arms around her, he was holding onto her for a little too long for my liking. Shit, where did this jealousy come from? “He was such a sweet and special little boy.”
“What?” Jasmine whispered as she pushed him away. Her face had paled and her body began to shake.
“Oh, no, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that.”
“Solar?” she whispered, looking at me as tears fell from her eyes.
“Come on, flower, let’s go inside.” I wrapped my arm around her waist and led her back inside the house. I slammed the door behind me and didn’t stop until we were sitting on her sofa. She curled into me, sobbing and shaking.
“Do… Do you think he’s dead? Is that what everyone else thinks?” She hiccupped.
“No, flower, I don’t think that at all. No one knows what they’re talking about.” I paused as my phone started ringing, I looked down at the caller display to see that Tat was calling. “We will find him, I promise.” I just hoped that I could keep that promise. My phone cut out and started ringing again.
“Don’t you need to get that?”
“No, I’ll ring them back in a minute.” It stopped ringing and started right back up again.
“Answer it, I’m just going to grab a shower.”
I watched Jasmine walk away in her fluffy pink dressing gown, her hair was a mess from sleep and her eyes were red and blotchy again from crying. I just wanted to end all of this hurt for her. My phone started buzzing in my hand again, I swiped my finger across the screen and answered it.
“Yeah?”
“Fucks sake, man, where the hell have you been?” Tat complained. I stretched my legs out in front of me and laid my head on the back of the sofa.
“What’s up? It’s early.”
“Yeah, Prez wants to get a move on. Head to Devon I mean.”
“When?”
“In an hour. It’s you, me and Prez heading there. He’s sending Tyler over to stay with Jasmine. He said she doesn’t need to be at the clubhouse.”
“Alright, man, I need to head home to shower and then I’ll be at the clubhouse.”
“Later.” He hung up the phone and I sat forward, rubbing my hands over my face. The sound of the shower was still running so I made myself useful by cleaning up the kitchen. Once it was tidy, I glanced out of the kitchen window once more to see that Mr. Miller’s car was now gone. Something didn’t sit right with me, he was talking about Nate in the past tense and just the way he looked at Jasmine made me want to punch him. I checked the time on my phone again, I had forty minutes until I needed to be at the clubhouse. She was taking a long time in the shower, even for a chick. I strolled over to the bathroom door, the shower was still running but I could also hear her sobs.
“Flower, you ok in there?” I waited and there was no answer. Was I going to have to break down the door? “Flower?” I called out again. I pushed the door handle down and to my surprise it clicked open. Shit, was I about to see her naked for the first time? First time? It would be the only time.
“Flower, you ok in there?” I looked to my right to see that the cubicle shower had steamed up but I couldn’t see her. I edged closer, not wanting to scare her. “Flower?” I looked through the glass door to see that she was sitting on the bottom of the shower floor, her knees were pressed against her chest and her face was planted on top of them, her long brown hair covered her, much like a curtain. I pulled open the glass door, reached in and turned off the water. Shit, that was cold. She was crying and shivering. I needed to get her out of there. I grabbed the large towel that she had laid out for herself and threw it over her back, wrapping it around her the best that I could. I wrapped one arm around her back and squeezed the other one under her legs and lifted her out of the shower. She immediately curled into me, crying into my neck. Her tears soaked my skin and I tried to calm her down with soothing words. I marched into her bedroom, placed her on the bed and grabbed her pink fluffy dressing gown to cover her. I’d like to say I was a gentleman and didn’t look at her but even I didn’t have that much self-restraint. Her breasts were perky and would fit in my hands perfectly, her nipples were a pale pink colour, her stomach was flat but she had a flare to her hips, her pussy had a small landing strip of hair that begged to be nibbled and her legs were pale and toned. I wanted this woman under me every night but I’d never allow her to be mine.
“Yo, Solar!” Tyler called out. I quickly grabbed the edges of her dressing gown and covered her body up completely. I wrapped her hair in the towel the best I could, I couldn’t do that fancy shit where they twisted it up. I pulled back the duvet and encouraged her to lie down.
“I’ll be back in a minute.” I kissed the top of her head and her eyelids fluttered closed.
I quietly shut her bedroom door behind me and turned to see Tyler smirking at me.
“You been having fun?” He wagged his eyebrows suggestively.
“No. Get a grip, man. She’s upset, her son is missing,” I barked.
“You got twenty minutes until you meet the guys and I gotta be honest, you stink, man.”
“Yeah, I know. Let me check she’s ok.”
“I’m making coffee,” he said before he lumbered to the kitchen. I pushed Jasmine’s bedroom door open and she didn’t move. I headed over to her side of the bed and sat on the edge of it. I pulled the duvet down from her face and her hazel eyes were staring straight into my green ones.
“I gotta get going,” I quietly said. “Tyler is here if you need anything.” She nodded. “You going to be ok?” She shook her head as a fresh wave of tears poured from her eyes.
“Flower, I’m going to find him. He’s going to be ok and then you two will be able to go back to normal. Work, school and whatever else it is that you do.”
“Just go and find him. Please?” I kissed her on the top of her head again. What was that all about? Why did I feel like I had to keep doing it?
“I’ll see you later on tonight.” She nodded and then rolled away from me, burying her head underneath the duvet again.
I slipped out of her room and headed to the kitchen. Tyler was sitting at the kitchen table playing a game on his phone.
“Hope you got a lot of charge in that, I don’t think she’ll be wanting to do much today. She’s very low. Keep an eye on her. Make sure she eats and drinks.”
“Will do, man.”
“Catch ya later,” I called out as I aimed for the front door. I cursed as I remembered I didn’t have my bike, I had to take this shitty car back to the compound. I’d have to grab a shower and a change of clothes there instead.
Chapter 8
Solar
I rushed in through the
clubhouse doors and all my brothers were standing around talking.
“Solar, cutting it a bit close aren’t you?”
“Sorry, Prez. Just need a quick shower.”
“Make it super quick. I have plans to be inside my Old Lady tonight.” I chuckled as I ran down the hall. We would all have plans to be inside her if she wasn’t the Prez’s Old Lady. She was hot as fuck and genuine too, no fakeness or nastiness about her, unless you insulted her family or the club.
I began stripping out of my clothes as soon as I was in my room, by the time I reached the en-suite, I was fully naked. What I didn’t expect to find was a club bunny using my shower.
“What the fuck!” I shouted at Missy.
“Oh, hi, baby. Coming to join me?” She pushed the door open, turned her back to me and bent over.
“Get the fuck out, Missy!” I roared. She spun around so fast that she began to lose her balance, I reached for her and she used that opportunity to jump on me. I almost lost my balance and slammed into the sink that was behind me. Fuck, that hurt. She began rubbing herself against me, I didn’t need hands to hold her up; she had a death grip around my waist and neck. I used one hand to pull her hands apart that were clasped behind my neck and the other pried her legs open and off of me.
“Why aren’t you hard?” She pouted as she stood in front of me.
“Because my cock doesn’t get hard for just anyone anymore.” Her face fell and I almost felt bad for upsetting her. “Get the fuck out, I could have you chucked out for invading my personal space. You’re not allowed in these rooms unless invited.”
“You did invite me.” She crossed her arms over her fake tits and cocked her hip with attitude.
“That was over six months ago and it was only once,” I bit out, annoyed at the fact that she was still standing there and I needed to get moving. “Get the hell out and don’t come back.”
“Don’t come crying to me when your prissy little school teacher won’t put out!” she screamed, grabbing her dress and stomping out of my room. I dashed for the shower, which she had left running. It was now running cold water. How had I always managed to put up with the whining club bunnies? Had Missy always been like this? I guess when you were busy getting your dick wet you didn’t worry about anything else. I never imagined that someone unexpected would spin my world upside down, it was going to be hard as hell to walk away from her.
