“Sar, what’s wrong?” Theo whispered, stopping. “You’re shaking.”
“I needed this so bad,” I moaned. “Please don’t stop.”
Theo’s eyes narrowed. “You’ve gone to Dev every week.”
“He’s injured, Danial’s ignoring me, and I’ve stayed away from...anyone else,” I said throatily, clasping him. “Please, Theo, please, I need you.” I slid my hands down across his hard chest and around to his lower back, pressing up with my hips.
“So you missed being touched?” Theo said softly, thrusting into me very slowly, and slowly drawing himself almost all the way out. My only reply was an incoherent groan, as I arched my back, unwilling to release him. Theo paused just inside and flexed, teasing me, watching me writhe beneath him. “Or did you miss me touching you?”
“Yes, I missed you!” I cried, staring up into his eyes recklessly. “I kept hoping every night that you would reconsider, that you would reach out to me, to touch me, to hold me.”
“Tell me you want me,” Theo said throatily, again thrusting in very slowly and out again.
“Please, Theo,” I panted. “I want you. Please, please, make love to me now.”
“I want you, too,” Theo groaned. He kissed me, then buried himself inside in a sharp thrust, his body pistoning on mine as his hands grasped my nipples, twisting and pulling. I let out a muffled cry, sucking on his tongue wildly, the sensations he was making me feel almost too much in their intensity.
He was close, but I was closer. I came in a few seconds, crying out loudly in release, clinging to him. My contractions around his engorged penis brought him roaring loudly, pulsating inside me as he came again and again.
The abrupt loss of tension was incredible, knocking out the foundations of my well-placed walls. Within a few moments, I was crying brokenly. Theo hugged me as I cried in his arms, venting all my pent up frustration, fear, hurt, anger, and mistrust.
When I got control, I reached up with shaking hands to touch his face. I ran my fingers lightly across his cheek, and back into his hair, giving him a tentative smile. He brought his hand up to the back of my head, and kissed my forehead lightly with his lips, then lowered his head to rest his forehead against mine, closing his eyes. I relaxed against him, closing my own. We stayed that way for a long moment, unmoving.
“Stay here,” Theo said softly. He withdrew, and then got up, stripping off the condom and throwing it away. He picked up the phone, and began dialing.
I watched, surmising he was calling Danial.
“Danial, I’m going to be late,” Theo said gruffly, his eyes roaming over me as he talked. “I had a run in with Lash and he knifed me. I’ll be fine, but it will be a few hours. It was deep, and—”
Theo blushed and stopped talking. Then he said goodbye and hung up, grabbing another condom from the dresser.
“He knew, didn’t he?” I asked.
“He said to say hi to you, and to come in when we were done,” Theo said rolling his eyes. “He wants to see you tonight, Sar. He asked that you pack a bag to spend tonight with him.”
That was odd. “Suddenly I’m forgiven?”
Theo ignored me. “Again?” Theo asked, kissing my neck softly. “Or are you finished?”
“Again, please,” I instructed in a false commanding tone, lying back and giving him a smile.
He laughed, then slid the condom on. “That’s my line,” he said, kissing me thoroughly.
I gave him a seductive smile, and then rolled over, straddling him. Rubbing my hips against his, I stroked his firm shaft between my thighs. Theo let out a growl, then took my waist in his hands and lifted me, settling me very slowly down on his swollen shaft. I let out soft cries as he slowly penetrated inch by delicious inch.
“I know what you like,” he growled softly. “Come here.” He guided my lips to his, his mouth devouring mine, and he began stroking me deeply, moving my hips with his hands. With a sigh of bliss, I lost myself in the sensations.
* * * *
Theo made love to me for two hours straight, until we were covered in sweat and I was too sore to continue. We held each other in exhausted silence as our breathing slowed.
“I love you,” I whispered. “Please tell me we can work out things between us, Theo. I don’t want to lose you because of what I did.”
“I love you, too,” Theo said, looking down at me tenderly. “I forgive you, for what you did, Sar. I believe you, when you say you haven’t been with Lash, and I trust you, when you say you won’t be with him again.”
Tears ran down my face. I hugged him quickly.
“Will you go get tested, so we can be together without protection?” Theo murmured. “I know you said Lash told you he hadn’t been with anyone else, but I don’t trust him, Sar. And he gave you that disease back in the spring—”
“I’ll make an appointment tomorrow,” I blurted, very ashamed. “I need to go anyway, as Stephen said he needed to make sure my body was doing okay after having had Devon and Venus. The vampire virus peaked, but I haven’t been back to get myself checked.”
“Do you want me to go with you?” Theo offered.
“No, though we have therapy we need to go to together next week,” I reminded him.
“How did it go today?” Theo said, nuzzling me. “You said it was bad. Was Carol nervous?”
“We all were,” I replied thoughtfully. “Carol told Lash that he had to be my friend, and not my lover, and he agreed that was what he needed to do. That was mostly it.”
“That’s all you talked about for an hour?” Theo said skeptically. “It doesn’t look like it had any lasting effect on Lash, from what he tried to do to you on our front lawn.”
I was disappointed in Lash about that myself. Yet maybe this was how he really was. But I was partly to blame, too. I should have told him the truth, and not made it seem as though I was pining for him, like some long lost love.
“Well, we also talked about how he hated you,” I added. “Carol made me understand that I have to not be too friendly or casual with him, because it might lead to something more. I’m a touchy kind of person, and I reach out for someone to console them before thinking about if they are a man, and how they might take it—”
“That isn’t your fault,” Theo interjected. “You’ve always been that way.”
“I have to not be that way with him. It’s not fair to him, either. I don’t want to make this harder for him than it has to be.”
“What did he mean to you?” Theo asked, turning to look at me. “I know you, Sar, that for what happened to have happened, there must have been something between you.”
I avoided his gaze. “He was just comfort,” I lied. “Someone I turned to when I felt trapped. But that’s over now.” I bit my lip, then snuggled close to Theo, willing him silent.
