Rort provided the only answer he could think of, “Between Maxon and me, we have three possibilities. There’s three of us. If one or more honored guest doesn’t materialize, we’ll help each other, otherwise we’ll split the three potential honored guests between us. Agreed?”
“Agreed,” Maxon and Varun echoed.
Chapter 12
Favian returned to medical and continued to teach Stacy how to use the equipment. He was patient and allowed her all the time she needed to absorb their techniques and information. Admittedly, he was pleased at how quickly Stacy was learning their methods.
“I’m afraid I’ll need remedial lessons on reading your language. I understand the translation but the structure is different than what I am accustom to. Is everything all right with Blaize?” she asked after an hour of intense lessons. Stacy didn’t have any problems operating the equipment; however, comprehending why Favian read the printouts first instead of looking directly at the scans was baffling.
“Yes. Blaize had an unfortunate incident with lizards, is all. So what do you say we finish with this lesson and go for midday meal? Afterwards, we can retire to our quarters. I’ve invited Ivanoff for evening meal. He can tell us about the honored guests, as previously promised.” Favian set aside the report he was reviewing and waited for her answer.
Stacy cocked her head in his direction but chose not to question what Warrior Blaize Pulten was doing with lizards. “I’d love to, but I need to go home and finish packing. Plus, I want to call and check on Cory’s progress one last time. None at the institute know that I won’t be returning.” Stacy ran her hands up his chest. “Will you come with me?”
Favian leaned down and kissed her. “Of course. You need not ask, but first,” after a lengthy, sensuous kiss, Favian ordered, “Computer, lock down medical.”
“Yes, Warrior Bax.”
He looked around medical and grimaced. “On second thought, let’s take this to our quarters.” He swung a laughing Stacy up into his arms and using his Pzian speed had her situated on their bed in no time. He set her in the center of the bed and stepped back.
Stacy propped herself up on her elbows and watched Favian remove his vest, toe off his boots, then remove his pants. She licked her lips and motioned for him to come forward. When he just stood there, she scooted to the end of the bed. “Do you always go commando?”
“Commando?”
She scanned his divine body. “It’s not important. I’ll explain later.”
Favian eyed her appreciatively. “Remove your clothes. I want to watch.”
Stacy took hold of his hips and yanked him to her. “Not yet.” She lowered her head and ran her tongue over the underside of his shaft. She felt the vibrations all the way down to where she moved one hand to cup his balls. This excited her and she took his mushroomed head into her mouth and hummed.
Favian felt the vibrations in her mouth and became even more excited. He sucked in a breath. “I’m not going to be able to,” he couldn’t get any more words out. Favian shuddered and released. “Gods and goddesses,” he panted as his climax ended.
“Uh-uh. Stacy. I like it when you call my name,” she answered with mirth in her voice.
“Stacy,” he replied reverently. “My life-mate.” Favian pulled her up and wrapped his arms around her. He lowered his head and kissed the side of her neck. “Your turn,” he murmured and stepped back. “Now strip.”
She slowly stripped. Oh, so slowly in a teasing manner. Stacy had a difficult time keeping the pace slow especially when she saw his cock rise to attention again. “You have an amazing recovery time,” she huskily complimented.
“And you are taking too long,” he chastised and helped her with the remainder of her clothes.
*.*
Stacy picked up the telephone and called the hospital. “This is Dr. Randall. I’d like to speak with Cory Hendrix’s nurse,” she held while the operator paged the on floor nurse. “This is Dr. Randall, my security code is DMC236. What is Cory Hendrix’s status?” She was silently nodding her head as she listened to the person provide an update. Once the call was completed, she hit play on her answering machine and erased the messages from Logan, and Doctors Everen and Carter.
Favian decided to let her have some privacy and made his way upstairs to her bedroom. He was in the middle of packing more of her clothes when she entered. “How is Cory?”
“He’s doing well. They’ve assigned a new physical therapist to start working with him next week.” Stacy walked over to Favian and hugged him. “None of this would have been possible if you hadn’t fixed his vertebrae. Thank you.” She tightened her hold and pulled him down for a kiss.
“Anything for you,” he responded when the kiss ended. “Shall I contact the others and have them come down and help gather your belongings?” When she nodded yes, he contacted the ship and requested help. “All of your items will be taken to the cargo bay. If there are items you want right away, we’ll set them in a separate pile and take them with us.”
They worked diligently along with Ivanoff, Maxon, Bylt, Mrirux, Rort, and Blaize for the next couple of hours. Stacy nearly said something when she saw two of the warriors separate her marble countertops from the cabinets, but decided it didn’t really matter. What mattered most were the pictures and albums she was carefully packing.
She noted, with no real surprise, that Favian concentrated on making sure her lingerie was carefully packed and placed in the pile to go straight to their quarters.
*.*
Ivanoff entered Favian and Stacy’s quarters for evening meal. “Favian tells me you’re curious about the first-round of honored guests.”
“I am. Here sit down.” She led him to the table where she had a spread of food and drinks.
“This is good timing. I received a transmission from Olivia today.” Ivanoff took a sip of his jirfpt and set the glass down. “Laurel and Slotan are now life-mated. They had a small ceremony.” Ivanoff decided to leave out the part where Laurel was kidnapped and nearly murdered. “Laurel has opened a coffee shop. Olivia says that it’s very popular since all the warriors want to see the humans. She compared it to a zoo. I had to look up the reference to understand.
Moira is due to give birth to twin daughters pretty soon. Gorgo, that would be Gorgo Scorpak, the Galaxy Hunter’s ship’s healer, will be delivering them early. The girls are too large for Moira to carry.
Gorgo is now stationed planet side, like all of his brothers except Traven. He and Jenna are planning their life mating ceremony. I understand his mother and sisters are very excited.”
Stacy looked at Favian and turned back to Ivanoff after Favian assured her he would explain later about the difference in birth size, and family structure.
“Aaliyah is also expecting. Her and Riken are having a son. He wasn’t able to get out of his obligation to Commander Traven Scorpak and will have to do three more rotations before being able to remain planet side. Aaliyah’s not happy, but understands. Traven has agreed to let him return home when the youngling is born for a period of time. Am I going too fast?”
“No, Favian has already told me the names of the honored guests and their professions. If I have questions, don’t worry, I’ll ask,” she assured him. “Do you have pictures of them? I’d like to see who it is you’re talking about.”
Ivanoff brought up pictures on his data pad he had taken of both the first set of honored guests and the Scorpak brothers. He shared them with Favian and Stacy. He went through each picture with care before continuing. “L.C. has been training miners in guerrilla warfare on one of Imo’s outposts. He should be back on Pzianian now. Kodiak is on his way here to meet his daughter, Gabriella.”
“The one I’ve heard Blaize talk about?” Stacy inquired.
“One and the same. This will be interesting,” Ivanoff chuckled. “Her father is very protective and the best fighter I have ever seen. Blaize will have his hands full, as the humans say.” Ivanoff took a couple bites of food before continuing
.
“You’ll meet Nica soon. She is promised to Commander Traven Scorpak but decided to remain here for a while because of her family. She has agreed to join him, permanently, in five years’ time.
Olivia is Kodiak’s and LC’s goddaughter and life-mated Zepar Scorpak in an Earth ceremony. They are expecting a son. Zepar is already working out his son’s training schedule.
Samantha and J’Quil Scorpak were also life-mated in an Earth ceremony. Olivia didn’t say anything about them expecting younglings yet.
All of the Scorpak brothers, except Traven who is commanding the Galaxy Hunter, reside at the Scorpak compound on Pzianian. Kodiak and LC also reside there to help provide protection.”
Stacy interrupted. “Is that necessary? Are we at risk?”
Ivanoff lowered his voice, locked eyes with Stacy, and assured her, “You are not at risk. You are our salvation.”
When he saw acceptance, he smiled and continued, “Lastly, Honored Guest Bryony has taken her own residence away from the compound. Her and Aaliyah are sharing a home near the lab where Bryony works. I don’t know what is going on between Bryony and Phataz Scorpak. Olivia did say that he has been seen with Pzian females and she thinks he’s entering into a breeding contract. She also said that Codis, he’s a decorated pilot who wants to life-mate Bryony, has also left to complete his service time with Traven.”
“A breeding contract?” Stacy turned to Favian. “I thought you told me that all of the Scorpak brothers hooked up with human women and were happy.”
Favian shrugged his shoulders. “That’s what I thought.”
She squared her shoulders and pointedly informed him, “If you even think about touching another woman, I am so gone. That is not something I’d put up with and it sounds like Bryony isn’t putting up with it either. Not if she took her own place away from their compound.”
“I want no other,” Favian told her. He lifted Stacy off her chair and sat her in his lap. “Never will there be another.” Of this he was positive.
After evening meal, Ivanoff made his way to Rort’s quarters for ‘The Talk’. He thought to have it now before Rort sought out his honored guest, which would be soon. There’s a female Rort has been researching since hearing about her during a conversation in the lunchroom at the fairgrounds. This was part of the monitoring feed collected from the weekend event. A few of the psychic vendors were talking about a young woman in Lazey-ana who recently died and came back with the power of healing.
Secretly, Ivanoff was thrilled. He had located a picture of Charlotte Carmichael. She had died a year ago in a transport accident and was brought back to life. However, this female lives in a place called Jean Lafitte, Louisiana. If this was the correct Charlotte Carmichael, Rort would be drooling on himself, as the humans would say. The picture portrays a very attractive female, not too much younger than Rort. She has long dark-brown hair that nearly reaches her derriere, and is slender. In the photograph, she is wearing a two-piece bathing suit and is standing at the water’s edge. Although difficult to tell, her eyes appear to be either gray or hazel. He briefly wondered if his other son might regret his decision to reject a life-mate after meeting Rort’s honored guest, if this is indeed the same Charlotte Carmichael that the females at the psychic fair discussed.
This is just what Ivanoff has been praying to the gods and goddesses for—a life-mate for at least one of his sons. Now he just needs to figure out where this Gatorland, Lazey-ana is. Ivanoff wondered if perhaps the vendors mistook Lazey-ana for Louisiana, since they sound relatively close enough when pronounced. But what about Gatorland? Outside of a theme park with that name in the State of Florida, Ivanoff turned up nothing on that as a city name.
Chapter 13
Tyce stood next to Blaize on the bridge, anxiously waiting for Carlie and Justin to return home. The original plans were for Honored Guest Dr. Stacy Randall to accompany them down; however, that was when they thought to convince Carlie and Justin to willingly return with them. The revised mission is quite different. Tyce and Blaize now intend on abducting Carlie and Justin. Tyce prayed to the gods and goddesses that this new plan didn’t backfire.
Tyce knew he would still need Stacy’s help, just not at this junction.
“Nervous?” Adal asked.
Tyce nodded an affirmative. “I’m not sure what to say.” He shifted uncomfortably. “Hi, I’m here to steal you away from your life and your planet. Or, maybe I should ask them to come aboard for a few days and try to convince them to stay, as if they have a choice.”
“Or we just render them unconscious and avoid the debate,” Blaize helpfully offered.
“This isn’t going to be easy Tyce,” Adal acknowledged. “Just pull in your training.”
“My training focused on politics and military procedures of alien nations, not younglings and family units,” he admitted. “I’ll be fine though.” He said that last part more for his own benefit.
Blaize handed Tyce a transporter and monitor. “It’s time.”
The pair of them waited until Carlie and Justin had entered the apartment to transport down.
Justin looked through the peephole and cursed. He moved quickly to the bedroom and took his sister by the arm. “Come on. The alien assholes are back.”
Carlie allowed Justin to lead her to the window. Part of her wanted to open the door and see if one of the alien assholes happened to be the one she’d been dreaming of, but her protective nature ruled. She knew she needed to get Justin away. “My keys.” She shook off his hold and darted back to the kitchen for her purse.
Dorn, Adal, and Varun were on the bridge monitoring. Dorn motioned to Adal to make contact.
“Tyce, they’re leaving through the bedroom window. There’s a ladder outside that Justin just lowered.”
While Tyce shouldered the door open, Blaize used his Pzian speed to go downstairs and around the side of the building. Blaize rested against a nearby tree waiting for them to finish climbing down.
Tyce moved quickly into the apartment and scanned the area. He headed to Carlie’s bedroom and saw the open window. Rather than frighten them and run the risk of them falling, he chose to use his Pzian speed and meet them when they got off the ladder.
*.*
“Think it will take them much longer?” Blaize quietly asked Tyce.
“They’re almost to the bottom. Carlie’s having problems with the soles of her shoes. Her brother is making sure she doesn’t slip.” Tyce was impressed how the younger Justin was watching out for his sister. Just like a Pzian warrior would.
Several minutes later, Blaize readied himself. “Do you know what you want to say?”
“I played it out in my head many times, but no,” he sighed. “Let’s do this.” Tyce and Blaize moved quickly to Carlie and Justin, just as she was stepping off the ladder. Justin was behind her, steadying her.
Justin turned around when the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end. “Crap. Carlie, they’re built like fucking Clydesdales!” He didn’t manage to move quickly enough when Blaize reached out and performed what the first set of humans called the Vulcan Pinch Thingy.
Tyce swept Carlie in his arms and rendered her unconscious.
*.*
“Computer. Summon Warriors Adal Lucia and Favian Bax to the containment unit,” Dorn ordered. He stood outside the containment unit looking at the two new, unconscious, honored guests.
Tyce lay Carlie down on the medical bed next to her brother and gently brushed her hair out of her face. “Computer. Drop a privacy screen between the two beds.” He stepped to the side as the screen descended and waited for Adal to arrive. All of the warriors had been properly warned about Fleet Commander Scorpak’s orders that no human females be disrobed without another female present, unless it is a medical emergency. Tyce was fine with that.
Ivanoff accompanied Adal and Favian. “Might I make a suggestion?” He didn’t wait for a reply. “First, we need garments for them so Favian can conduct his physical. The metal in th
eir clothing will interfere. Next, the young male is at an age that he probably enjoys what they call video games. It is similar to our simulators. You might score some points, as they like to say, if you offer him some challenging entertainment.”
Blaize offered to retrieve youngling size clothing for the both of them. “We won’t tell Carlie that we put her in youngling clothes. She’s so much smaller than our females.” He turned and quickly exited.
“Simulators will help with Justin,” Tyce remarked. “I’ll find appropriate programs and teach him how to work them.” This simple gesture made Tyce feel a little better. He now had the start of a game plan to show Justin and Carlie that they would be valued. “What about Carlie?”
“Rort can help with the simulations. The female honored guests that went with Slotan, enjoyed working out in the training room, learning martial arts, and making new outfits to wear.” Ivanoff held for a second then added, “They also enjoyed Slotan’s pet cammor. The females, and males, spoiled the cammor and taught her obedience. They called her Jewel and she became quite the protector.”
Dorn contacted Varun and asked him to check on the status of locating a cammor on one of the other warships. “Tyce, I’m assigning them guest quarters one and two. You may show them to their rooms and supply them each with a data pad.” He glanced again at the two gifted humans. “Your female is very attractive.”
“Favian,” Dorn started, “have all the translators been modified to include the updated trackers, per Warrior Zepar Scorpak’s recommendations?”
“Yes, Commander. All units were completed before I inserted a translator into Carlie’s ear canal.”
