The Legend of George Jones: His Life and Death
Page 22
The hardest and most difficult times we had with George were the times spent between the marriages with Tammy and Linda. It was a short period of time, but the divorce was hard on him and everyone around him.
I once wrote a song entitled, “What My Woman Can’t Do, Can’t Be Done.” George recorded it and released it as a single. I wrote that song about Charlene because it best describes her as she really is. She has been a lifesaver for me and a true friend to George. You will find this book to be amazing.
With my love to my wife,
Earl “Peanutt” Montgomery
