  The Pleasure’s All Mine

“I’m not trying to be on television with my business all in the street,” Pierce whispered in a voice so husky that she had to shift her position on the sofa. “I have a lot to lose. A woman has to be important for me to invest my time. And for the record, you’re not a booty call, I want you for a lot longer than just one night. I want to build something good, something that will last.”

Raven bit her bottom lip as she adjusted the phone and tried to come up with a witty comeback—and couldn’t.

  “Raven?”

  “Yes.”

“Talk to me, baby. What are you feeling right now?”

She took a long, slow breath, trying to regain some composure after that sweet admission of his. “You’re the closest I’ve come to wanting a man in a long time, but it’s not going to work. Our lives are just too hectic. And I’m not ready for an intimate relationship. I have too much on my plate already.”

With that said, he whispered. “Close your eyes, let me talk to you for a minute.”

She did as she was told.

“I want you to go back to the night that I had you in my arms.” He gave her a few seconds to process and added, “Be honest, baby…what did you feel?”

  “You. Heat. Need.”

“Heat? Oh, yes, I felt it too, baby,” he whispered. “The scent of your perfume, the feel of your skin against my lips, your breasts ready to spill out into my hands. Lord, woman, I wanted you in the worst way.”

Raven refused to comment. She would have to admit that she wanted him to do all the wicked things that his voice and his eyes promised that night. And she had a feeling he could back it up. A woman could tell these things—and that’s what normally got them into all kinds of trouble.

“Imagine that I had parted your lips with my tongue; that I tasted you and baby, it was honey dripping from those lips. Imagine that I laid you out on the chaise and my hands held those sexy hips of yours. That I’m stroking them, touching them, feeling you—soft…warm. Would you like that, baby?”

A groan escaped her lips, despite every effort to hold it in.

  “Do you feel me, Raven?”

Eyes closed, thighs open, wetness making a comeback, she could only manage a soft answer of, “I feel you.”

“My hands parted your thighs and I’m stroking upwards towards that heat. You’re so wet, baby. You’re wet...for me.”

Raven’s head went back onto the cushions and she was all pleasure and heat as he continued describing sensual things he wanted her to experience in sweet, mind-blowing detail, ending with, “The tip of my finger brushes across your pearl and your hips move toward me. Can I go inside, baby? Can I play with you just for a little while?”

Raven’s orgasm ripped through her, causing her to disconnect the call.

Moments later, she ran to the bathroom and gripped the edge of the sink for balance. As she looked at her flushed reflection in the mirror, she swore to never take another call from Pierce Randall.

  Rich Woman’s Fetish

The bedroom door creaked open. Sixteen-year-old Gina inched her arm under the pillow and relaxed, waiting. He had rigged the lock so it wouldn’t catch all the way. Nothing she had done to reverse it had worked.

Mama Bessie’s funeral was two days away. If Ted continued to make the wrong moves, he would join his father on the wrong side of glory since his mother definitely wouldn’t welcome him into Heaven.

She slowly moved the gun down by her side under the comforter.

“And I hate to say it,” Mama Bessie had said, “but if something happens to me, even my son isn’t going to do right by you. He’s not going see taking care of you as carrying on my obligation; he’s going see you as another woman he can get his hands on. Like his weak, pitiful wife. Heifer should’ve left him the first time he hit her.”

“But he’s always been so nice to me,” Gina protested.

Mama Bessie scoffed, “That’s ‘cause he doesn’t have any power over you …”

Ted halted at the edge of the bed. Gina forced her breathing to stay even. The smell of whiskey and musk overpowered all other scents in the room. He lunged toward the bed and pinned her body with his weight. Gina cocked George--a Colt 45--and jammed it right at Ted’s exposed genitals. “You’ll have a hard time explaining what happened to your nuts.”

Ted froze; only his eyes moved as he locked on Gina’s hard glare and growled, “If you’re not giving it up, then you got to go.”

“I think I got that message loud and clear,” she replied dryly, keeping her eyes focused on his. “So why did you feel it was necessary to come in here at two in the morning to say it again?”

“Put the gun away,” he said through his teeth. “And let’s talk about it.”

“Put your penis away or George will be the end of the conversation.”

“Ted…” Patricia’s soft whisper echoed behind them.

He scrambled off the bed and stumbled backward into the dresser, knocking over the tiny bottles of perfume and Mama Bessie’s picture before landing on the floor. He struggled to stand as Gina reached out and
switched on the lamp next to her bed to unveil his limp penis greeting the early morning chill. Gina’s metal friend was gripped tightly in her right hand.

“Oh, oh, sorry.” He grabbed his head as though a headache was coming on. “I … I … um … I stumbled into the wrong room.”

“Again?” Patricia shot back, leaning on the door jamb as she tightened the belt around her robe.

Ted shook his head vigorously and swallowed hard. “I was on my way to the bathroom and I just …” He reached down, pulled up his zipper, and turned to his wife. “Why aren’t you asleep?”

Patricia’s hands were balled into fists; a vein throbbed at her ivory temple. “Go back to bed, Ted.”

He threw one last scathing look in Gina’s direction as he stalked off, brushing past his wife on the way out.
