She giggles behind me, and I sneak a glance at Daisy. My stomach twists a little and guilt knocks me breathless when I swear I see the glisten of hurt tears in her eyes.

Quickly shifting away, unsure why I’m feeling so damn guilty, I give Tiffany a smile. “Thanks, babe.”

She looks at me in surprise when I run from her. But Daisy stares at me with even more shock when I grab her hand and tug her out of the pub.

“What are you doing?” she asks, sucking in a large breath when I practically sweep her off her feet in my need to get her up the small hill to the cottage.

“Boris is keeping your mother busy. And I’m horny.”

“You’re always horny, Frazer!” she declares as she races to keep up with me.

“Then it’s time to do something about it!” I tell her, pulling her harder in my eagerness.

Glancing a look over my shoulder, I have to smile when I catch the excited smile on her face. She wants me as much as I do her, it’s written all over her face, and that excites me even more.

It’s time to up the stakes.

And I know just how to do it.

  Chapter Fourteen

  Daisy

Frazer grins down at me, his eyes gleaming wickedly as he checks the strength of the handcuffs with a quick tug on my wrists. The slight groan from the old wooden spindles of the headboard makes me wince and I grip onto them tightly, hoping to give them a bit of support.

“All trussed up and at my mercy,” Frazer teases. “Just think, I could do anything… anything I want to, and you don’t have a hope in hell of stopping me.”

I squirm, strangely excited at his taunt, and press myself against him where he’s positioned on his knees between my legs. “You gonna be all rough with me?” I can’t control my delight. “Toss me around like a ragdoll?” I’m tempted to say please, beg a little, maybe even offer to buy him a couple of pints – or a car! But I don’t want to appear too eager.

His grin widens at my enthusiasm. “I knew there was a dirty little minx under there.”

Grabbing my hips, he forcefully yanks me towards him.

There’s a weird splintering sound. My body skids down the bed with the strength of Frazer’s pull and my arm swings forwards. The spindle, still enclosed in my fist – but not attached to the bed – smacks Frazer straight in the temple with an almighty crack, knocking him sideways and causing him to topple off the edge of the bed and hit the floor with a hefty thud.

Damn! He’s supposed to be the one throwing me around!

“Oh my God,” I snigger, and attempt to cover it with a cough as I try to manoeuvre my body around to look over the end of the bed. But I’m still attached to the headboard with one hand and it makes it impossible. “Are you okay?”

A grunt fills the silence and Frazer’s fingers appear at the bottom of the bed. His face follows and the look of pain and the already developing black eye makes me feel guilty for laughing.

“I haven’t renewed my insurance, Daisy. Try not to kill me, huh?”

“I’m so sorry. You’re stronger than you look, and the headboard isn’t as strong as it looks.”

“Apparently so,” he groans as he pushes himself off the floor.

I sulk at the sight of his depleting hard-on. Damn it. Unable to move, mortified as Frazer’s eye becomes darker and darker, and growing more and more disappointed, I blurt out, “Would you like me to give you a blowjob? I’m quite good at them. Well, I think I am. Never had any complaints yet. Although Marcus wasn’t too keen. But that could be ‘cos my mother walked in on us once and made me jump.” Shaking my head, I sigh. “It wasn’t my fault. I didn’t mean to. But the blood did calm down after twenty minutes, and the swelling didn’t cause him too much of a problem.”

Frazer’s eyes are so wide, I grin. He’s excited.

I open my mouth as wide as I can. And wait.

He stares at me for a long while then laughs and shakes his head. “I think I’ll pass for now. Your mother may be back soon, and I’m quite fond of my dick.”

Just as I’m about to complain and promise him I won’t bite, he buries his face between my legs and I yelp when his teeth graze my clit.

“Okay, that’s fine. You do me, I don’t mind.”

He chuckles from down below and the puff of air over my flesh makes me moan. My head flops back onto the pillow and I sink my teeth into my bottom lip. The way he idolises me has me squirming on his face and I grab hold of his hair with my free hand, making sure he can’t move.

He’s whispering dirty things to my pussy, his voice a fierce growl, but I don’t mind. If he needs to talk to my lady bits, by all means. We all have our kinks.

On the verge of an orgasm, I cry out when he slides a finger inside me and curls it upwards. Bliss tickles every one of my nerve endings and I buck, forcing my hips up and into him. He devours every drop of me, feasting on me like he’s been starved all his life.

“I still like that,” I tell him when he slides up my body, his teeth nipping at my nipples the higher he gets.

“I’m pleased,” he whispers, and guides his cock inside me.

Frazer is big, and every part of him touches every part of me. But this time he feels different, better, fuller. I’m not sure why but I’m not arguing.

My breath leaves me in a sudden gush and a snarl rips from Frazer. “Shit,” he hisses as he starts to move.

As though he can’t get deep enough, he kneels back, puts his hands under my bum and lifts me higher. And then he starts to fuck me with a violence that leaves me breathless, paralysed, and in so much pleasure that my head shakes from side to side.

He’s going to leave friction burns the way he’s going at me. The fingers on my free hand dig into his thigh as I try to cling to something to override the sensations riding me, and with my other hand, I curl my fingers around the spindle, praying this one is more secure.

Frazer pummels in and out of me like a man possessed and it’s not long before we’re both crying out, our joint climaxes prolonging the pleasure as he swells and I clamp him inside me with every single muscle.

“Daisy!” He growls my name like it’s a curse word, the emotion in his voice making me shiver. His head drops to my shoulder when he collapses on top of me, and the heavy sound of our gulps for breath fills the air around us.

“Just so you know,” I mumble between breaths. “I liked that too.”

His eyes open and he laughs as he reaches up to unbuckle the handcuff. “Right. So pretty much you like it all.”

  “Everything!” I nod eagerly.

His grin turns mischievous as he pulls out of me. “About that anal play…”

I’m just about to berate him when I feel the trickle of something sticky between my legs. My mouth falls open and I gasp, sitting up to peer between my open thighs. “Frazer!”

He frowns then looks in my line of sight. He pales, then lifts his horrified eyes to mine.

“Condom!” I shout, jumping up off the bed and jigging up and down on the spot.

“What the hell are you doing?” he asks when I start doing star jumps.

“Trying to get it all out. You know, fling it downwards!”

His focus on me is hard, and there’s a weird look in his eyes as he grunts. “You need to get to the chemist!”

“I’m not going!” I stutter. “You go!”

  “I can’t go!”

“Why?” I ask on another jump.

  “Because… because I’m a guy!”

“Well, it’s your…. deposit. And now you need to make a withdrawal. You go!”

He grinds his teeth together and stands firm.

Propping my hands on my hips, I glare at him. “I didn’t bring my pill with me, so I’m not exactly up-to-date. Unless you’re prepared for shit-filled nappies and sleepless nights in around exactly nine months, you better shift your ass!”

He appears to debate my fact, then growls and pulls on some clothes. “Jesus Christ!” The door slams behind him.

/>   It’s a matter of seconds before it opens again and my mother appears. Her eyes look me over as I continue doing jumps in the nude. “I’m not going to ask…” she murmurs as she shakes her head and turns to leave. But then she pauses and her eyebrow quirks. “Are those my handcuffs?”

A sickly feeling sinks in my stomach and I shout, “FRAZER, YOU SICK SOD!”

  Chapter Fifteen

  Daisy

Well, if I thought having to attend a WI meeting was bad in the first place, having to attend it with my mother puts it into a whole new arena. I feel like a gladiator, fighting to survive. We walk into the village hall where chairs are set in a circle in the top left hand corner. The room could be a village hall anywhere. There’s a piano in the top right hand corner and the place is bare with a dusty wooden floor. Tables and piled up chairs adorn the edges of the room. My mother points to the circle of chairs.

“Oh, it’s like the AA or something,” she chirps. “Hope I don’t have to confess my sins.”

“It only lasts an hour, not three weeks,” I mumble under my breath.

A voice to the left of me makes me startle. “So glad you could make it, Daisy.” Josie’s friendly voice helps settle me somewhat as the sea of faces staring at me and my mother are not familiar.

“Hi, Josie. This is my mother, Shirley,” I tell her.

“Oh, we’ll do introductions when we’re all seated,” says Josie, ignoring my mother’s outstretched hand. Poor, poor Josie. She just signed her own death warrant. There’s no way in hell my mother will let that pass.

We take a seat and I whisper in my mother’s ear, imploring her to behave herself.

“I don’t know what you’re insinuating, darling. I’m here only to support my daughter and help her settle into this new village.”

“I’m only here for a couple of weeks.”

  “For now.”

“No. Not for now. I’ll be leaving soon and going back to Chesterfield.”

  “Back to where dickhead lives?”

Eyes move over to us and ears tilt our way.

  “Not now!” I hiss.

“You’re not going back there. We’ll get you settled here. Preferably on that Frazer’s large knob.”

I put a hand to my face, covering my right eye and cheek. Can I just block her out in some way?

Just as Josie opens her mouth there’s a clatter as someone collides into a few chairs. Everyone with their backs to the doorway spins their head round to see Sam lifting herself off a table. And I thought I was clumsy.

  “Sorry I’m late,” she sing-songs.

“You’re right on time, Sam, darling,” says Josie. “Take a seat. We’re about to do introductions.”

We go around the room and, of course, as I’m sitting to Josie’s right, I’m going to be the last to say my name. I hate this. It’s like those courses work insist on sending you on for customer service. At least this time we don’t have to spend ten minutes with the person at the side of us and announce them. “This is boring Brenda. She’s worked at the Post Office for thirty years and spends her spare time collecting photos of the Queen from newspapers.”

Working around from Josie and Sam we have India who owns the village pre-loved store, (which I make a note to visit); Tina and Tori, two barmaids from the Horse and Hound; Aggie, Ruth and Flo, the mums of India, Ellie, Tina and Tori; Sam’s mum, Cynthia, who owns the cafe; Ellie from the bakery (daughter of Ruth, elder sister of Tina); and Gertrude, Ruth’s eighty-three-year-old mother who’s almost completely deaf and to all intents and purposes sat with one foot in the grave. Seriously, she’s disturbing to look at; I’m expecting Andrew Lincoln to storm in and seize her for a part in The Walking Dead at any opportunity. Despite the fact she doesn’t appear to be all there, she does have her rheumy eyes trained on me. I’m expecting her to levitate and projectile vomit over me at any minute. I really wish I’d never watched Drag Me to Hell. I’ve never felt safe around old ladies since.

  Then it’s my mother’s turn.

“I’m Shirley and I’m recently returned from travelling, though my surname isn’t Valentine.”

There’s a polite titter from the other women.

“I’m Daisy’s mother and I’m visiting to make sure she’s alright after her arse of a boyfriend dumped her and she ran away here.”

Fuck me. All eyes now home in on my face, all their faces with fake sympathy and nosy boring-into-me eyes. Gossip. Gossip is here.

“Oh, I’m so sorry, Daisy,” says Tina. “I was wondering what brought you to our village. It’s not like many people come here voluntarily.”

“Yes, well a lady in Chesterfield who owns Haversham House has kindly leant it to my daughter for a couple of weeks while she convalesces,” adds my mother.

Convalesces? I’m surprised my mother hasn’t gone out to find a wheelchair to push me out of the meeting in.

“Oh, Daisy. Had you been together long?” asks Tina.

My mother folds her arms. “Eight years and no sign of a ring.”

  There’s a collective gasp.

  “Then he cheated on her.”

Another collective gasp. It’s like being in the theatre watching a suspense.

At this point I stare into space and bite my nails while my mother proceeds to roll out my life story and then add how she’s come to make sure I’m okay and not about to off myself.

The play, I mean meeting, applaud my mother on her nurturing skills as she comes to the end of her monologue -I mean gossip.

Josie turns to my mother with newfound respect on her face. “Daisy is lucky to have you. God unfortunately chose not to bless me with any children, but I do my best to provide Harvey, my staffie, with as much love as he desires.”

“They’re not so different, children and pets. Both need love and their shit cleaning up.”

“Erm, quite,” says Josie. She consults her notepad. “So that concludes the introductions. Now if we move onto the minutes of the last meeting.

Oh my God, there are minutes?

“So refreshments. Trevor is going to provide those and will work. Tori and Tina, could you assist if it gets busy?”

Tori and Tina nod, though their expressions are murderous as they’re asked to work on the one night where there’s some actual entertainment in the village. Ellie, of course, is asked to provide sandwiches and buns and India has a request made to borrow vintage teacups, saucers and any glassware.

“We’ll see if Frazer is willing to DJ for us again if he’s sticking around a while,” says Josie. Every single pair of eyes light up; even, I swear, Gertrude’s rheumy ones.

“Daisy lives with Frazer. She can ask him,” says Sam.

The other young women’s eyes narrow on me. I swear the temperature of the room drops as the penny does, that Frazer and I are in the same house.

“You’re living with Frazer?” asks Tina.

“We’re sharing a house as there was a mix up in the tenancy arrangements.”

  “So you’re not together?”

  “Well.”

“They live together and share a bed, but past that it’s their business,” says my mother.

Can the ground please open up and swallow me now?

“Another Frazer conquest. He’ll chew you up and spit you out, you know? He’s done it to us all,” Tina says, snidely. I’m so getting urine in my wine.

Sam, Tori and India all shake their heads in agreement. Oh God, he’s shagged them all.

“We share a bed because there’s only one in the cottage,” I tell them. “I have a date with Jimmy.”

“Jimmy?” Sam shouts out rather too loudly. “Lurch?”

“I’d rather you didn’t call my boyfriend Lurch, thank you very much. He has a rather impressive six-pack that I’m waiting to get my hands on. He’s my date for this dance and I’m going to make sure I snuggle up close enough to feel his muscles.”

She may have called him Lurch but Sam looks like she’s going to lurch for me.

Be careful with Jimmy. He’s shy and innocent.”

I shrug my shoulders. “Didn’t seem that way to me when he was at the cottage arranging my sheets.” They don’t have to know they were dust sheets.

All mouths are now hanging open, though I guess Gertrude’s naturally hangs like that.

“Right, well back to the minutes,” says Josie.

  ***

We get back to the house at half past nine. I’m absolutely knackered and make my excuses to go up to bed while my mother corners Frazer and starts chatting to him about being a DJ at the dance.

I slip on my comfiest pyjamas and I’m reaching for my book when my mobile rings. It’s Kathy. I sigh but press accept.

  “Hi, Kathy.”

“Hi, love. I left it a couple of days but I wanted to make sure you’d not died of boredom there. Are you okay, or do you want Rex to come fetch you?”

“No. I’m actually enjoying it here.”

  “Nice and peaceful?”

  “Erm.”

“So much in that one tiny syllable, Daise. Spill.”

“Well, on my first night here I found out there was another tenant. A male one. Then my mother decided to turn up.”

“Whoa there! Reverse right back to that first bit. There’s already a bloke there? So where have you had to move to?”

“Nowhere. It’s Mrs Haversham’s secret son, Frazer. He’s gorgeous and has a large cock.”

“Yeaaaassssss. Please tell me you’ve sat on it.”

“I’ve done lots of things with it.”

There’s the sound of clapping. “Oh, Daisy, this is fabulous. So is he nice?”

“He’s okay but we’ve agreed it’s just a bunk-up. Casual sex between friends.”

  There’s a long pause.

  Then a sigh.

“What’s up? I’m here to get some experience.”

  “Daisy, you left a commitment phobic toe-rag and you’re now shagging a commitment-phobic, albeit large-dicked, probable toe-rag.”

“It’s consensual. We’ve agreed we can also date other people, as long as safe-sex is practised. I’ve a date with another guy next week and have already been on one although that didn’t work out so well because he was boring, plus mother descended.”
