Meanwhile, horror story novelist Lucy Hazen is mystified when scenes from her work-in-progress are duplicated in real life. (#20)

  The Mists of Huron Court—The house was beautiful, a vintage pink Victorian in a picturesque but lonely country setting, and the girl playing ball with her dog in the yard was friendly, suggesting that she and Jennet walk their dogs together some time. Jennet thinks she has made a new friend until she returns to the house and finds a tumbling down ruin where the Victorian once stood and no sign that the girl and dog have ever been there. (#21)

  Down a Dark Path—Brent Fowler’s dream of turning the pink Victorian on Huron Court into a haunted inn rapidly turns into an obsession. When he vanishes, Jennet abandons her vow to avoid Huron Court in an attempt to save her husband and friends from a grim fate. (#22)

  Shadow of the Ghost Dog - The excitement surrounding the making of a movie based on Lucy Hazen’s book, Devilwish, turns to horror when a landscaper unearths a human skeleton in the backyard of the house chosen as a setting. (#23)

  The Dark Beyond the Bridge - While transporting a rescue collie to Foxglove Corners, Jennet discovers Forever, a ghost town tucked away in a densely rural section of Michigan’s lower peninsula. While dealing with Forever’s mysteries and dangers, Jennet must cope with a rival collie rescue group in Foxglove Corners whose mission is to undermine and replace the original league. (#24)
