Archon was one of the chosen soldiers. Most of the magic the Sirians taught the UFE soldiers were nothing more than useless parlor tricks. Most but not all. The OBE (Out of body) spell is particularly useful in just the type of situation Archon found himself in that day.
I can’t explain exactly how an OBE works. It is after all magic. But it starts by initiating a lucid dreamlike state, then they separate their soul from their body. It allows the individual to perceive the surrounding environment from a different perspective from a position outside of his or her own body. That day, Archon sat silently on the edge of the camp, and allowed his soul to lift from his body.
He moved though the camp entering caves and dwellings in search of his lifemate. He went from place to place but didn’t find any signs of her. He called out to her soul, but received no response. Something was wrong. How could he have lost her? Where could she have gone? Panic set in as Archon started to doubt he would find her.
He pushed his robotic legs to their top speed as he ran through the rest of the camp. Archon legs could easily run one hundred and sixty miles per hour. At that speed, it only took a few minutes for him to check every structure and cave in the camp but one. The leader’s cave. Archon ran through the entrance of the cave and stopped dead. He’d found her. His beautiful lifemate Naelia was lying on to the ground, wearing nothing more than dirty tattered rags. It looked as if she’d been exposed to the elements for months. Her body was covered in bruises and she was nothing more than scrawny bag of bones that was nearly starved to death.
The reptilian gang leader slept comfortably only feet from her in a soft bed without a thought to her wellbeing or comfort. Archon reached out and touched her cheek and felt the moisture that had yet to dry from the tears she must have recently cried. He bellowed out in anger, and rage that it had taken so long to find her. He snapped back to his body, with the intention of racing to the cave to rescue her. Archon was prepared to kill everyone that stood in his way.
Chapter 4
It would have been the perfect time to reach out to us. We were a unit and would have dropped into Niger and helped clean out the nest of Reptilians. That is after all what we do. As the elite warriors for the UFE our unit is charged with doing the impossible and succeeding.
Taking on an entire battalion of Reptilians alone was most definitely the impossible. That however didn’t faze Archon. Instead he checked his weapons then ran full blast into the enemy camp. Oh, somewhere in the far recesses of his mind, he was aware that what he was doing was ill-advised. He knew there was a chance he might even fail. He didn’t allow that to slow him down. He’d already decided that if he failed to find and save his lifemate…his life was over anyway.
He picked up speed and launched himself into the camp. He was greeted by five well-armed grunt Reptilians. He moved in fast to force them into hand to hand combat. Reptilians were strong and their bear forms were even stronger than wild bears. This was going to be a difficult fight.
Archon heard one of them throw their head back and hiss loudly. He knew the son of a bitch was calling for reinforcements and they would all be gunning for him. His ego would have liked to stand and fight against them, but his instincts perceived that he would probably lose the battle and his lifemate and would suffer for his selfishness.
I’ve said it several times already, but you need to understand… Archon isn’t your typical enhanced Earthling. Our entire unit are elite specialists and the best the UFE has to offer but Archon has had more modifications and upgrades than anyone else in the UFE. Hell, some would say he was more robotic then human. Hands down, he has to be the strongest individual being currently on earth. The Reptilians, however, are naturally nearly as strong, and there are more of them than him, probably one hundred to one.
The odds were not good for Archon that day. In hand to hand combat, he might hold his own but if it turned into a weapons battle the odds would quickly drop down even further. He needed to move quickly and efficiently through the Reptilians drawing as little attention as possible and staying tight so no one could get off any shots. With that in mind he dove into the first one he saw and used him as a barrier while he propelled himself over it and into the one behind it.
The moment his feet touched the ground he put every ounce of his energy into running through the camp, and towards the cave his lifemate Naelia was in. All the while more Reptilians and even a few greens flew out of their dwellings to join in the hunt. Each time Archon managed to get close to the leaders cave another group of five or more enemies would get directly in front on him. They forced him to turn around and head the other way only to get blocked again.
The Reptilians were playing with him like a cat plays with a mouse. Archon bellowed out in rage and decided to attack the group now in front of him head on. It was risky but he needed a hole he could dive through. He grabbed the small green directly in front of him by the scruff of his neck and used him like a battering ram to shove his reptilian friend aside. The he tossed him towards the others and watched in wonderment as the green rolled like a bowling ball down an alley. He crashed into two Reptilians and knocked them both back.
Archon saw them all cringe at the impact. His victory however was short lived as he felt a burning sensation at the back of his thigh, and realized one of the Termaritans managed to get close enough to use a glimmer knife and take large chunk of his flesh out of his leg. Glimmer blades are used in knives, swords and even as bayonets on some rifles. They are made of light energy that is pulsed super-fast. They are very effective weapons that not only cut but burn and cauterize at the same time. Archon kicked his now very injured leg back at the green smashed it bulbous head in.
While he was congratulating himself on killing the green his still managed to snatch a charging reptilian from the air and ripped out his throat with he’s bare hand. He took a few more steps towards the cave of the leader. Finally, Archon thought he was making progress… not… three more reptilian were on him.
Time was running out. To many of them to fight in hand to hand combat… yet he was determined that no matter what it took, he had to get past them. Archon bellowed out in anger again and managed to find a small hole between the Reptilians that he thought he could expose and slip though. He pushed forward and used his speed to his advantage. He was moving so fast he probably looked like the blur to the enemies. He rushed past them at breakneck speed, and never slowed down as he entered the leaders cave.
The reptilian leader was of course nowhere in sight. He was most likely one of the Reptilians that had been attacking him in the main camp. His lifemate however was... Archon spotted her battered and bruised body clothed in nothing but rags tied to the leg of the reptilian leader’s bed. Despite her horrid conditions, he breathed a sigh of relief that he wouldn’t have to battle the leader too. He just wanted to take his lifemate and get the hell out of here. Not wanting to waste any more time Archon snapped the ropes and lifted her, banged up, bruised, sore body in to his arms.
He took a deep breath through his nose while he tried to decide his next best course of action. That’s when he realized he was smelling fresh air coming from the back of the cave. Likely it was from an escape route the reptilian leader would use if his camp was attacked and it looked like they were going to lose the battle. Archon thought there was a good chance that it would be unprotected since the Reptilians probably didn’t think Archon or anyone else for that matter would know about it or find it. Worst case scenario the leader and a few of his cronies were already headed down it too. Either way Archon liked his odds.
He moved quickly and followed the cave deep underground before it hooked back up and ended in a very quiet part of the desert. The moment they were back into the open Archon stopped all movement and carefully listened to his surroundings. After a few minutes of silence he became confident that there was no evidence of any reptilian or Termaritans activity. He considered resting but decided against it since the Reptilians would eventually realize he never came ba
ck through the camp.
He tossed his lifemate over his shoulder and started to run. He wished there was an easier way… but there wasn’t. It couldn’t be helped. Archon needed to run very fast with her tossed over his should. That meant she was going to bounce around and her bruises and injuries were going to hurt. There was just no other way to get them out of the hot zone and into a safer place away from the enemy. Archon apologized aloud to her, even though she couldn’t possibly hear him.
“I am so sorry my sweet lifemate. I am sorry the bastard aliens hurt you and that I was not there to protect you. But I give you my oath that I will do everything in my power to keep you safe from this day forward. I vow to make sure that every breath I take is used to make your life better and to help you forget the suffering you have endured.”
Archon pulled two of the pain killers he kept in his pants pocket out and stuck them in her mouth. The moment he was sure that she was a little more comfortable, he pitched his lifemate’s bruised and tattered body over his shoulder and ran toward the coast. Archon was hoping that he could make contact with his unit or another UFE unit and find a way to get the hell out of Africa. He wanted to make his way north. The farther north the better.
Most of the alien’s that invaded earth preferred heat. They already become the dominant people on the Caribbean islands, Australia, Africa, South America and most of the deserts in Asia. Native Earthlings like himself have been forced into the colder temperature areas like Canada, Alaska, Greenland and Russia.
Chapter 5
Naelia was jarred awake by a soft warm rocking motion. She realized however she was on something much softer than the sand she’d been sleeping on. Hell, it almost felt like a bed. That however didn’t make any sense given her predicament. Yet she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that she was no longer tied to the bed of the reptilian leader. No… something else was going on. Something conceivably worse if that was even possible…Naelia started thinking about all that happened to her over the past few days and emotional pain ripped her though.
FLASH BACK
They slipped the rope over her neck and were pulling her somewhere. It hurt, but Naelia put up as much fight as she could. There were just too many of them. They were too strong. Something hit her hard on the back of her head and Naelia scream out in pain. She swiped at them with her arms and made contact, not that it mattered. She was no match for the Reptilians. To prove that, they pulled the rope tighter and forced her body to the ground. Naelia couldn’t even lift her head.
They started to surround her. So many stinky, nasty, vile Reptilians. Then, they started grunting and making loud shrill sounds. The spit, laughed, hit and kicked her over and over again. One of the bastards poked at her with cattle prod causing her body to jolt and flop around like a fish out of water involuntarily. Naelia was petrified and in so much pain. She screamed and begged them to stop. She prayed to Ewmjir for them to kill her quickly just to make it stop.
None of that mattered. The Reptilians continued to make noises as they circled around her weak battered body. She was poked again with yet another cattle prod. Her body jerked around, this time her head slamming painfully into the ground. Every kick, touch and jab caused enormous unbearable pain.
She opened her mouth and tried to scream, but even her throat could no longer function, a came out was a nearly silent gurgle. Despite that she refused to stop fighting. She bit, scratched, kicked and swung her weak limbs towards the Reptilians, but it had no effect. Then, just when Naelia thought she had all she could take, it got worse. The men dragged her with ropes into a cave and forced her into and underground icy cold river.
In theory her mind knew they were only attempting to bathe her but in her panic it felt like they were attempting to drown her. They cast her under the water again and again in while she flayed around and tried her best to keep her head above the water. They used the sand to rub her painfully until her body burned and ached.
Finally they pulled her out of the river. They surrounded her again and donned with the Reptilians nasty chufa cloth. Naelia hated the way chufa cloth smelled. To her it had this awful rotting smell that reminded her of dead animals. Chufa cloth is a nearly impenetrable cloth made from the scales of dead Reptilians. The smell was terrible and caused her stomach to twist. Venusians are vegetarians and have very little tolerance for the smell of any kind of meat.
Hell, even the ones born on earth only handful of native earth vegetables. Sadly however since Naelia became separated from the other Venusians she came topside with, she’d been forced to eat cactus in order to keep the hunger pains from crippling her. The smell of the chufa cloth smelled so much of meat she started coughing and gagging until finally managed to empty her stomach of her latest her meal.
The seemed to agitate the Reptilians who immediately punished her, by shoving the chufa cloth directly into her face over and over again. She held her breath for as long as she could but eventually she was forced to breath in the smell. This time instead of gagging she became light headed and her world went black.
Naelia wished it had stayed black however. Instead she awoke and herself tied down against the ground with her limbs pulled out and away from her. The male reptilian leader was above her. It was clear he was going to use her body to satisfy his needs. She knew even to the Reptilians that her Venusian body was considered beautiful. Many of the Reptilians kept Venusian men and women as concubines to satisfy their sexual needs. It was no real surprise to her that the leader would have no problem taking what he wanted and Naelia would be forced to accommodate him.
She knew she could try to fight him… That however would only make it so much worse. No, the softer gentler path was to give him what he wanted. If she pleased him enough, perhaps he would even retrieve Regatta for her. Once she was better fed and had time to rest perhaps she could figure out a way to escape and return home. Still, she hated the idea of being involuntary used by him.
It’s just that she didn’t have a choice. It was a fact of life that Venusians are lovers not fighter. In general most Venusians are highly sexual beings anyway and would copulate with anyone that shows even a mild interest. The majority of Venusians that weren’t lucky enough to escape underground into the lava tunnels like Naelia and her colony all served as concubines to the races now living on earth. It was their place in life. They didn’t fight it they embraced it, but the idea of copulating with the Reptilians nauseated and terrified her. Naelia simply wasn’t a typical Venusian.
She was different in many ways. Hell, it only to Archon a few minutes to realize she didn’t even speak any language but her native Aquarian. The one language Archon never bothered to learn. Every other Venusian on earth spoke at least reptilian but most learned all the other species languages. If she’d been able to speak reptilian she could have told the leader that she wasn’t protected against an unwanted pregnancy. Not that he would have believed her.
Everyone knew Venusians craved sex. They loved to peddle their bodies in exchange for their needs. They never cared who or how they were used. Naelia however never really had much of sex drive. For that reason, she didn’t consume blue cohosh on a regular basis. That meant she was fertile. Very fertile… Before meeting Naelia we thought all Venusians used the blue cohosh herb to prevent unwanted mixed species pregnancies.
Since she didn’t speak reptilian, she never told the reptilian leader anything. Instead, she started taking the blue cohosh the morning after, but in the back of her mind she feared she might have already been with child. It was not only possible it was highly probably despite the genetic differences between the Reptilians and the Venusians. It was also feasible that she could give birth to a deformed Halfling. Mutts were never accepted by any of the races. Venusian mutts were sometimes tolerated if they were attractive enough to be used as concubines but mothers of deformed mutts were expected to kill the deformed children.
Tears leaked silently from her eyes that first night as the reptilian forced himself into her body. Tears
for her lost innocence, tears for her foolish dreams and tears for the child that she would probably have to kill in the near future. By the time he finished and retreated to the comfort of his bed Naelia was exhausted. She tried her best to keep awake and alert, but the events of the day took their toll and she’d fallen into an uncomfortable sleep.
Over the next few days, Naelia was forced remain at the leaders side. Everywhere he went, she was pulled behind him. The others in the camp seemed to enjoy jostling her around and constantly yelling and shoving her. Her new male partner was sometimes the worst. He would switch between being nice and causing her terrible pain. Naelia did her best to work hard and get very dirty and destroy the chufa clothes he donned her body with in the hope that she would be unattractive to him so he would leave her alone for the night. Naelia was rarely ever that lucky. He came to her nearly every night so far. He seemed to enjoy his time with her.
The moment he came to her, she squeezed eyes tightly closed and prayed to Ewmjir to make it end. Sometimes, she would hold her breath until world went dark again and she did not feel anything. That’s what happened last night. She passed out. Now however she had to figure out if she was still tied up or not. If he was or wasn’t in the room. Not wanting to draw attention to herself in case it was still early in the evening, she decided to remain very still and listened with her ears. Within seconds, Naelia clearly heard very light soft breathing… he was sleeping... still to make sure, she did her best to peek through her eyelashes.
Despite her best attempts she couldn’t see anything from the angle her head was in. If Naelia wanted confirmation, she would need to open her eyes. That thought however terrified her. If the reptilian leader was awake or realized she was, he might want to use her again. Naelia wanted to avoid that at all costs.
