Two-Man Advantage

  “Vaughn texted me.”

Wells paused, looking over at where Matty was coming toward him. “My Vaughn?”

Matty grinned. “If I didn’t know you, or the relationship you have with him, I would be very jealous right now.” Taking Wells by the hips, Matty nipped at his lips. “But yes, your Vaughn.”

Matty went to kiss him, but Wells pulled away, completely blown away by what he’d just said. “Wait, what? Vaughn called you.”

Matty seemed a little taken aback by Wells’s rejection as he shrugged. “He texted me.”

  “What did he say?”

He exhaled, visibly annoyed as his hands slid down Wells’s hips to his thighs. “He asked if I was really going to let you marry Alex. For the longest time after I saw your engagement photo, I’d told myself you wouldn’t do it, so I ignored it. But when I got that text, I didn’t think. I came.” He cupped Wells, making him jump as his eyes widened. “But now, I want to make you come.”

Wells’s joyous smile spread across his face. “I’m sorry, I’m just a little surprised Vaughn did that. Jensen, yes. But, Vaughn? He isn’t like that.”

“He loves you,” Matty answered simply. “He knew you were making a mistake. That you’re mine.”

Wells laughed at that. “I can promise you that Vaughn did not think that last part,” he started, but then Matty captured his mouth, moving his tongue inside without much warning, not that Wells was complaining. As their kiss turned demanding, he clutched Matty, needing him more than he could fathom. His best friend, basically his brother, brought this man back to him.

Shit, that meant he owed the guy.

  Damn it.

As Wells’s lips turned up, Matty pulled back, smiling in return. “Fuck, Wells, you drive me crazy with that smile.”

That feeling of completion and straight-up lust coursed through his veins. “You drive me just…completely—” Wells exhaled, moving his hands to the front of Matty’s pants, unable even to comprehend this moment. He’d waited. So fucking long. God, he wanted this man as his, completely and freely, for so long. And finally, he was going to have that life. That forever. “Crazy. Fucking crazy.”

He gasped as he unfastened Matty’s pants, and Matty leaned into his hands as he nodded, his eyes darkening as Wells pulled out his cock. The velvet smoothness of Matty caused Wells’s skin to break out in gooseflesh. His shoulders went taut as he gazed into Matty’s hooded gaze, his jaw twitching as he breathed out. Falling to his knees, Wells stroked Matty, his hand shaking slightly as his heart jumped up into his throat while pulling Matty’s pants down. They rested at his thighs, Matty’s engorged cock begging for Wells.

But all he could do was admire him.

  Matty.

His thick thighs, the soft dusting of hair along his stomach and chest, the V that pointed right to the thing Wells wanted most.

  This was real.

  This was them.

Before, back at that shitshow of a wedding that turned really sweet, they’d had to be quick, needing to reestablish their connection. But this, this was them.

  Making love.

Moving his tongue along the head of Matty’s long cock, Wells could feel his toes curl up as Matty urged him on with a moan. As he took Matty into his mouth, Wells’s own cock throbbed in his slacks before he took him to the hilt. Matty cried out, his fingers tangling in Wells’s hair as he arched up into his mouth. Wells loved the taste of him, the length of him, and fuck, he loved Matty. All of him. His body was a wonderland, as cheesy as it sounded, and as he took Matty’s balls in his hand, massaging them while he continued to move his cock in and out of his mouth, he couldn’t even figure out how he had gone so long without.

  Matty…Matty was everything.

Some fresh-faced kid with an attitude problem was everything to Wells. He’d always thought he would love someone older, wiser, but that wasn’t the case. No, he was in love with someone who wasn’t even his type, but it didn’t matter. While it scared him how much he craved and needed Matty, Wells didn’t care, because he loved him. Entirely.

When he felt Matty starting to throb, he knew he was almost to his release. Wanting it like his next breath, Wells sped up, raking his teeth along the shaft as Matty moaned loudly, clutching Wells’s hair tighter. When Matty pushed his cock to the back of Wells’s throat, his release starting to fill his mouth, Wells sucked him harder, digging his fingers in Matty’s butt so he couldn’t move. Arching into him, Matty cried out as he squeezed Wells’s hair in his hands one more time before he finished coming hard. Matty’s body shook with the moment as his hot come ran down the back of Wells’s throat, sending chills down his back.

Licking his lips, Wells looked up as Matty gasped, his eyes closed as his hands fell to Wells’s jaw, rubbing his cheeks softly. “I missed that mouth.”

“I missed this cock.” Wells kissed Matty’s stomach under his untucked shirt, before gliding his hand over the buttons hiding Matty’s chest as he stood. Moving his nose up his chin, he then pressed it into Matty’s nose and smiled as he took ahold of Matty’s ass. “But I think I missed this sweet ass more.”

Moaning against Wells’s mouth when he pressed his cock against his, Matty nodded. “Oh, yeah?”

“Yeah,” he said, lacing their hands together before leading Matty to the bed and pushing him against it. As he fell to his back, Matty’s eyes were dark, so damn dark that if Wells hadn’t known they were a gorgeous turquoise, he’d think they were gray, permanently. Reaching for his pants, Wells pulled them off and dropped them to the floor before Matty sat up, trying to remove his shirt, but Wells stopped him. Crawling into Matty’s lap, his knees on either side of him, Wells moved his fingers to Matty’s tie, untying it before pulling it off and tossing it on the floor. Matty’s hands moved toward his ass, caressing him as Wells slowly unbuttoned his shirt, trailing kisses down as each button was opened.

“You’re going to kill me, I swear,” Matty gasped as Wells kissed down his belly button, off Matty’s lap by then. He pushed Matty’s shirt off his thick shoulders and biceps onto the bed that would be a mess before they were done.

“I won’t apologize,” Wells whispered against Matty’s hipbone as he slowly got up, pulling his shirt out before undoing his pants.

Matty watched, his mouth parting as he bit out, “I didn’t expect you to.”

Holding Matty’s gaze, Wells threw his shirt down along with his tie before toeing out of his shoes. As Wells opened the nightstand for his lube and a condom, Matty reached out, pushing Wells’s pants down as he kissed along his hips and down the trail of hair that led to his swollen cock. When Matty’s lips touched the head of Wells’s cock, Wells felt his heart skip a beat before he pushed Matty back, grinning back at him as Matty gazed up at him, his eyes swirling with such naughty heat that Wells almost came right there.

Moving back onto the bed with Matty, Wells pushed his legs up to rest on Wells’s thighs before squirting the lube all over his own sheathed cock, but also Matty’s. Matty jumped at the coolness, which made Wells smile. “I forgot to warm it for you, pussy.”

“Fuck you,” he answered back, pulling him down for a heated kiss that had Wells’s cock throbbing so fucking hard, it hurt. As they kissed, he moved his cock against Matty’s semi-hard one, his breath catching as they kissed sloppily. They nipped and played, their kisses more demanding as Matty grew with Wells. His cock was so thick, driving Wells completely insane as their cocks moved against each other.

When their eyes met, Wells moved his fingers along Matty’s swollen lips, shaking his head. “I can’t with you.”

  Matty grinned. “Well, too bad.”

  “Yeah?”

“Yeah, you’re mine,” he answered, his eyes shining with the promise Wells had yearned for, for so long. “Now, fuck me.”

Wells’s cock twitched against Matty’s before he sat up, pushing Matty’s legs back. Reaching for the lube once more, he squirted on a bit more before moving it all over his cock and then along th
e entrance of Matty’s ass. Wells felt Matty watching him as he directed his cock into him, pushing past the ring of thick muscle. Wells groaned loudly once he was inside Matty. Looking down at where they were connected in the way he loved most, he shook his head. “I hate you.”

Matty scoffed. “Not what someone wants to hear when their lover has his cock deep in his ass.”

Wells smiled. “I hate you for keeping this away from me.”

Matty’s smile dropped, and he nodded. “Same here.”

That was the last thing that was said as Wells started to pound into Matty’s ass. Sweat dripped down his back, his shoulders taut, his ass cheeks clenching as Matty’s body squeezed his cock, his eyes never leaving Wells’s. They’d had some hot sex, even some really sweet sex, but this was a mix Wells wasn’t prepared for. And when his orgasm hit, Wells really wasn’t ready for the noise that left his lips as he exploded inside of Matty. Arching hard into his lover, Wells cried out once more as his release rocked him to the core.

He hadn’t come like that…since the last time he was with Matty, and it was long overdue.

Falling back onto the bed, Wells gasped for breath as Matty kissed up his bicep to his shoulder and then to his neck, also breathing hard from their lovemaking. “Good God.”

Matty smiled against Wells’s shoulder. “I missed that.”

“So did I,” he said, unable to catch his breath. “So damn much.”

The moonlight shone into the room, blanketing their bodies where they lay in the bed. Neither of them moved, though, both not wanting to. He glided his hand along Matty’s thigh since their legs were tangled together, and Matty’s lips moved along Wells’s shoulder as he let out a sigh. While he basked in the silence of the room, Wells’s eyes drifted shut as his heart felt full. He was confident in them. He believed Matty, trusted him, but he’d be lying if he didn’t say there was a burning feeling in his gut that something could go wrong. It was too good to be true. Wells knew that, but fucking hell, he wanted it to be true.

He wanted this to be it, but they had a long, uphill battle. He wasn’t naïve; he knew Matty could break at any moment. It was Wells’s responsibility to make sure that didn’t happen, and thankfully, he was the right person for that job.

  “Hey.”

Pulled from his thoughts, Wells looked over to where Matty was staring at him. “Hey.”

“Explain to me what happened with your sister. Why did she marry Jensen again?”

Wells smiled. His damn sister was a hot mess. But the greatest hot mess he knew, and boy, did he love her. “She got knocked up by this asshole, who shall remain nameless so I don’t kill him—”

Matty made a face. “You know him?”

“Yup. Fucker,” he sneered, shaking his head. How their childhood friend could have knocked up his sister and then throw her to the side would always bother him, but that was a story that wasn’t his. “And, well, you remember how since I’m gay, Wren gets both of our inheritances?”

  “Yeah.”

“Well, she couldn’t get it if she was pregnant and not married, so she asked Jensen.”

“Did she know he’d been in love with her for…hell, forever?”

Wells rolled his eyes. “She claimed she didn’t, but since he was in love with her, he said yes when she asked. I tried to talk him out of it ’cause I knew somehow she’d hurt him. Yet, they got married, and he claimed to be the dad. Then before the first wedding today, the one you broke up—” Matty laughed as Wells went on. “It all came out—who the father was. And Wren, being her self-destructive self, had never told Jensen who the dad was. So when he found out, the whole thing went to shit since we grew up with the dude, and for him to hurt Wren was real shitty. But for a minute there, I thought Jensen was going to leave her. I couldn’t have blamed him. Though, it would have hurt me since they are meant for each other.”

Matty nodded. “But he married her again?”

  Wells grinned. “Yeah, for real.”

  “Good for them.”

  “Yeah, they need each other.”

Matty nodded. “What is she having?”

“A boy, and I can’t wait to meet him,” Wells gushed, a grin pulling at his lips. “He’ll be perfect and gorgeous like me, of course.”

“Well, of course,” Matty said, but Wells didn’t miss the haunted look in Matty’s eyes. Eyeing Wells seriously, Matty asked, “It doesn’t bother you that you don’t get that inheritance, does it?”

Wells shook his head. “No. I’m not changing who I am for anyone.”

Matty sighed, pressing his nose into Wells’s shoulder. “I envy you.”

  “What? Why?”

“’Cause it scares me shitless coming out to everyone. I don’t know how you can be so confident in who you are.”

“Because I don’t care what anyone thinks,” he answered simply. “Just like you are on the ice—where you play your game and you are the boss of it—be the boss of your life. Don’t worry about anyone else.”

  “Except you, though?”

  Wells grinned. “Well, yeah, duh.”

Matty laughed before leaning his chin on Wells’s shoulder and placing a kiss to his jaw. Pulling back only slightly, he whispered, “I want what you have with Wren with Avery.”

Wells closed his eyes, his heart aching for his lover. Matty’s relationship with his sister was tainted by his issues as a teen. He hadn’t been a good guy, he had been a piece of shit, in fact, but he wasn’t that guy now. As much as Wells wanted to urge Matty to go and make it right with his sister, he was almost scared Matty wouldn’t be able to.

“I watched after Wren married Jensen. She turned to you, and the way she looked at you, like you are one of the greatest people in her life, it just shook me, ya know? But then she whispered that she couldn’t do life without you, and this overwhelming jealousy ate at me.” Emotion clogged Matty’s throat, and Wells watched as he closed his eyes. “I have this twin, this amazing woman, who is a songwriter, and a mom… Wells, she’s a mom. To my niece, and I’ve never met her. I’ve never been able to hug her or kiss her and tell her she’s the sweetest little girl in the world. It kills me, but then I think of how I don’t get to tell my sister how much I need her in my life, because we don’t have that kind of relationship, and it ruins me. I regret it all. Everything. And I don’t know how to tell her that. To apologize.”

The pure emotion in Matty’s voice made Wells’s eyes tear up as he nodded. “You gotta try.”

  “I know.”

  “I’ll go with you.”

Matty smiled, opening his eyes, his gaze meeting Wells’s. “Really?”

He nodded. “I’d go to the ends of the earth with you.”

Pressing his lips to Wells’s, Matty nodded. “I’d really appreciate that.”

“Give me a date, and I’ll be there with you.”

As Wells held his gaze, something moved in Matty’s eyes. Wells wasn’t sure what it was, but it took his breath away. Matty wanted so badly to be accepted by everyone, and it killed Wells that it might not happen. But at least he’d always have Wells.

  No matter what.

  “Next weekend?”

Wells hadn’t expected it to be that quick, but he nodded all the same. “Of course.”

Matty’s shoulders fell as he let out a huge breath. “Thank you.”

“No, thank you for wanting me there.”

Matty grinned as he nodded. “I need you. Your strength.”

  “It’s yours.”

Matty’s eyes lit up, and soon his mouth was crashing to Wells’s. In that moment, Wells didn’t think life could get any better.

He knew it might get worse.

But he wasn’t the least bit scared.

  Nine

Matty was sleeping when Wells rolled over to go to the bathroom. Or, so Wells thought. Scratching his naked butt, he was almost to the bathroom when Matty called out, “Damn, you got a baby bladder.”

Wells laughed. “Shut it. I pee a lot at
night.”

  “’Cause you’re an old ass.”

“Right, so be nice to your elders,” Wells called back, a smile pulling at his lips. “And you’re fucking this old ass.”

“Hey, it doesn’t have wrinkles. I’m good.”

Going to the toilet, he scoffed as he held his cock, relieving himself. He watched as Matty turned over, his back rippling with the movement. It had been four days since they’d gotten back together, and to say that Wells was happy was an understatement. They spent every waking moment together. They enjoyed movies, meals, and just being together. They had gone biking and canoeing, even made love in the woods. It was great. They were great, but he knew the trip to see Matty’s sister, Avery, was weighing on his heart.

Matty didn’t talk about it. At all. Not even when he bought the plane tickets or booked the hotel. He just sent the notification to Wells’s email. Since Wells was unsure what to do with that, he didn’t do anything. He ignored the trip too and just enjoyed making up for lost time with the man he planned to spend forever with. He was nervous, though. Scared, even. He knew rejection by Matty’s sister was more than likely going to happen, and Wells was pretty damn sure Matty knew it too.

  Which wasn’t good.

Because Wells needed things to go well with Avery. If they didn’t, he wasn’t sure Matty would be motivated to go forward with coming out to the rest of his family. It freaked Wells out, which was why he’d decided not to think about it much. Instead, he just loved the shit out of his guy and hoped that was enough to keep him. Though, it hadn’t been before, but he was ignoring that too.

He had to, or he’d go crazy.

Exhaling hard, he shook before flushing the toilet and then washing his hands. After walking back to the bed, he pushed back the blanket, but before he got in, he noticed his phone signaling a text. He reached for it, noticing it was from Wren. With his brows pulled together, he sat down and opened the text.

Wren: This kid is kicking me in the ribs, and Jensen is passed out. I shouldn’t wake him, right? That would be rude.

  Wells grinned.

  Wells: So you wake me?
