Slow whispers began to fill the air in the crowd. Each person turned to each other, talking about Kapono’s declaration. Ashbel held Kapono’s hand. She was proud of her husband for taking charge in the moment and presenting a solution that could change the kingdom forever.
“So? What will it be? Endless fighting or this new way for our kingdom to prosper?” Ashbel asked loudly. The cheers erupted suddenly, the crowd of people clapping as they hoot and hollered.
“The new Royal Court!” They cheered. Kapono breathed a sigh of relief. He turned and hugged Ashbel, spinning her around. The kingdom was a little bit away from putting this all into place and running smoothly. This was just the start of it all but at least it was a start. Soon, their people and the land would prosper.
Ashbel’s body was still full of Kapono’s lava-like release ten minutes after they’d made love for the 3rd time that night. She was breathing heavily with her head stuff in her pillow. Her body was splayed across the bed as she laid on her stomach. She thought it was a good idea to provoke the Wrath inside of Kapono and she realized that was a sad mistake. Wrath made Kapono punish her body with spanks, and fire whips. She hadn’t orgasmed so damn much in so little time before. Kapono reached over and covered her body with a light sheet.
“Alive?” he asked.
“Oh, shut it,” Ashbel groaned, knowing he was teasing her. Kapono spanked her bottom. The bounce back began to excite his body once more. Ashbel turned her head and saw the thickness growing between his legs.
“You’re insatiable,” she gasped.
“Come here,” Kapono laughed. He snatched her up, holding her against his body. He spread her legs over his hips. Finding her opening was easy enough because of their connection and within a second their bodies were joined. Ashbel complained but the moment he was inside of her she began to move naturally, rotating her hips on top of him. With the powers of her hips and the heat of her insides, Ashbel drove Kapono to the deepest depths of pleasure imaginable.
The results of both their orgasms spurted out of their bodies as they achieved bliss together. This time, sleep overtook them both.
Kapono wasn’t sure how long they slept, but in Ashbel’s arms time didn’t really matter. He was in a deep sleep when the wash of heated air brushed against their skin bare skins from where they lay in the large bed.
Wake up. Wrath ordered. Kapono’s eyes snapped open. At the foot of the bed stood a dark figure with hair and wings of fire. Kapono sat up sharply, the motion waking Ashbel. She clutched at the sheets to hide her naked body to the man that was standing at the foot of their bed. His dark skin was so rich and glassy it was as if it was hand poured by a chocolatier.
“Vuur,” Kapono said. Ashbel’s eyes widened. The deity that made their land was in her bedroom. Staring down at them.
“You’re a Phoenix?” Ashbel gasped, seeing the wings on his back. Vuur smiled and bowed at Ashbel.
“Are you here to give me another curse?” Kapono asked.
“I am here to thank you for protecting my land. War and strife could have waged because of the misgivings of the past king,” Vuur explained.
“You’re welcome,” Kapono grumbled.
“I heard your declaration to continue to protect the land. Even with your sin, you have managed to still forge a way to stand with the land and not go against it.”
“This is my homeland after all. My actions in the past were wrong. Anger did take me over and I made deadly mistakes. To be a better man for my wife I just need to continue to seek retribution and doing that means protecting the place I love,” Kapono explained.
“And that is why I have brought you a task. A task I hope you will see fit to complete.”
“What task?” Vuur placed his hands behind his back.
“You are not the only carrier of a deadly sin, Kapono.” Kapono gasped. He hadn’t yet thought about the fact that they were other sins.
“Those six other beings carrying a deadly sin live in different places spanning Kosmos. The other elementals, water, air, and earth want to form a coalition. There is a sacred omen. It says that great power will form by the connection of all seven deadly sins. Your control of your sin makes us believe that achieving this omen can create a powerful protective force for the entirety of Kosmos. Not only have you learned to coexist with your sin, you have evolved into a great fire dragon. Your leadership can be pivotal in helping to locate and gather the other six sins. Are you up to that task Kapono?”
Kapono looked at Ashbel. She was still clutching the sheet to her body but she looked at Kapono with a bright smile on her face.
“Well? What else have we got to do? Not like you’re going to be the king,” she winked.
“And, the four elementals have created a mansion in the hills that separate Earthland and Fireland. This will be your new home, along with the other sins. As long as you accept this task, the mansion is yours to live in,” Vuur added.
“It beats living here with my parents,” Ashbel smiled. Kapono plucked her nose. She was right however. His new quest was protecting Fireland, and if he and the other sins could form a strong bond that gave them power, Kapono wanted it. This seemed like the right path for his new life.
“Where is the next sin?” Kapono asked. Vuur bowed, knowing the question meant Kapono was accepting of the task.
“He resides in Earthland as the sin of Lust.” Kapono cupped Ashbel’s face and kissed her on the lips. She would be his partner throughout this entire quest. She was his partner throughout his entire life for the rest of his life.
“Let’s go find us a demon of Lust,” Kapono said to her. She held up a hand of orange fire and Kapono held up a hand of violet fire. When they clasped their hands together, their flames simmered and melded together signifying their love.
