Each time she bobbed her head up and down she took him into her mouth a little further and faster, drawing her cheeks in and suctioning on his length as she pumped her hand. She got into a steady rhythm and then contracted her pelvic floor muscles to let Will and Frank know that she was ready.

Frank growled as he drew his cock out of her pussy to the tip and as he drove back in, Will withdrew from her ass. Every time they rocked their hips, they went a little faster, deeper, and harder. Sally moaned, stroking her hand up and down Rick’s shaft in time with them as she sucked and slurped on his cock.

The tension inside her body built higher and higher. Her internal muscles rippled and the coil grew tauter. Rick groaned and gasped and started to rock his hips as he fucked her mouth. The hand in her hair tightened and when she felt his cock twitch, she realized that he was getting close to coming.

Sally released his shaft, moved her hand down to his balls, and after testing the weight of his precious cargo and delighting in how soft the skin of his scrotum felt against her hand, she rolled his balls in the sac.

“Sally … Love … I’m gonna come,” Rick panted.

Sally sucked harder and bobbed faster when she tasted his essence on her tongue and as she took him back into her mouth, she inhaled through her nose and took him down her throat before swallowing.

His balls grew hot and hard as they drew up, and then Rick shouted as he came. Sally tasted his sweet, spicy cum on the back of her tongue and swallowed as he spumed load after load of jism down her throat. When he’d given her everything he had, he released her hair and eased from her mouth with a moan and sat back on his haunches as he tried to get his breath back.

Sally turned to Frank, clutching his arms as he drove his cock into her cunt. She gasped and groaned as the phenomenal pressure inside of her grew bigger and bigger.

Will and Frank counterthrust in and out of her ass and pussy, fast, hard, and deep, their flesh slapping against hers and she held on as they took her on the ride of her life.

The coil wound so tight she wasn’t sure she’d survive the explosion but she that didn’t frighten her, because she knew that her men would catch her.

Frank slipped a hand down between their bodies and pressed firmly on her clit.

  That was all it took.

Sally screamed as she flew into the stratosphere. Her internal muscles clenched down so hard it almost hurt but it was so damn rapturous she saw stars. Her body shook and shivered, her pussy contracting and releasing as she climaxed. White noise filled her ears and she trembled uncontrollably as euphoria took her to the clouds.

Frank shouted behind her as he drove his cock deep into her pussy and froze. Aftershocks wracked her as his cock pulsed and twitched as he spewed cum deep into her body.

Will surged into her twice more, shoving his cock into her ass deeply, and roared as he orgasmed.

Sally moaned and panted with each throbbing palpitation and he filled her with his essence as he climaxed. She flopped down onto Frank’s chest, her own heaving as she tried to regain her breath, and knew she would do everything she could to remain with the loves of her life for the rest of her days.

Even if it meant killing Angelo Perez.

  Chapter Sixteen

Will knew the instant he walked into the sheriff’s office that something was seriously wrong. The air was filled with tension and none of the other deputies would meet his eyes. A lump of lead lodged in his gut as he moved toward the coffee pot and poured himself a mug. He heard Damon and Luke come out of their offices, so he turned to face them. He hoped his face was stoic but from the sad look in their eyes, Will knew whatever they were going to say wasn’t going to be good. He just hoped that it wasn’t anything to do with Sallyanne, but his gut was telling him otherwise.

“Come into my office,” Luke said and turned around.

Damon nodded at him to precede him and so Will did with anxiety in his heart.

“Sit.” Luke pointed at the chair in front of his desk before sitting behind it. Damon sat in the seat next to him.

“There’s no easy way to say this … Simon Simpson was found dead in the alley a block from his apartment.”

“Fuck!” Will ran his fingers through his hair and began to pace. He drew in several ragged breaths before turning to face Luke and Damon from near the far wall. “How?”

  “He was murdered.”

“Shit! Perez?” Will clenched his fists.

Damon nodded. “That would be my guess, or one of his cronies.”

  “Has the body been released?”

“Not yet,” Luke said. “They’re doing an autopsy.”

Damon rose, walked over to Will, and placed his hand on his shoulder. “He was tortured, Will. The poor bastard was alive for most of it.”

Will clenched his teeth when bile rose in his gut. Normally he wouldn’t flinch being told or seeing something like that. He’d become immune to death and destruction while serving as a SEAL, but this was different. He was going to have to go home and tell the love of his life that her brother was dead. He hoped he wouldn’t have to tell her how he died, but if it was him and one of his brothers had been killed, he would have asked all the questions, wanting to know everything so he could go after the murdering fucker.

Anger rose up in his chest and without thinking about what he was doing he turned and punched the wall. Pain seared through his knuckles when his fist went through the drywall but it helped to center him and get his tumultuous emotions under control.

He turned back to face Luke and gave him an apologetic grimace as he shook his hand. “How long before the report comes through?”

“A couple of days, at least.”

“When was he found? And by whom?”

Damon cleared his throat. “An Officer Brush found him when he was out on patrol.”

“In an alley? How did he know to look there? Did someone tell him about the body?” Will asked the questions running through his head when the hair on his nape stood on end, but he would keep his gut instincts to himself for the moment. “Do you have a copy of the report?”

“Yeah,” Damon said. “I’ll go get it and I’ll get you some ice for that hand.”

“Thanks.” Will walked back to his chair and sat down.

“Here.” Damon handed him the ice pack and the report.

He read it slowly and thoroughly, taking in every word hoping to get a feel for the officer who’d found Sallyanne’s stepbrother. The more he read, the more his internal alarm screeched. It was perfect. Too much so. Every I had been dotted and every T crossed.

“Is there someone in this police department either of you are friends with or who knows someone working there?”

“What are you thinking?” Luke leaned forward in his chair.

“That this cop”—Will held up the report—“is on Perez’s payroll.”

  “Why?” Damon asked.

  “Gut instinct.”

“That’s good enough for me.” Luke reached for the phone and dialed. “Hey, Jacques, how’s married life treating you?” Luke smiled. “Glad to hear it, buddy. Say hi to Becky for me. I’m going to put you on speaker phone. I have Damon and Deputy Will Blanchard with me.”

Luke pushed the button and introduced the person on the other end of the line. “Commissioner Jacques Retinue.”

“What do you know about Paul Brush?”

“Early thirties, and eager to please.”

“This is Will. Commissioner, I have reason to believe that some of the cops in your jurisdiction are dirty and in the pocket of Angelo Perez.”

  “Do you have proof?”

“We’re working on it, Jacques,” Luke replied.

“I’m not sure I can do anything unless you have some sort of evidence. It’s my job to protect my officers.” The commissioner sighed. “However, if we have dirty cops, I want to know about it. What do you want me to do?”

“We have reason to believe that Officer Paul Brush has failed to document witness repo
rts and changed them, and we think he is leaking information to Perez.” Will began and then went on to explain what had happened to Sallyanne and how her witness statement had been made to look like a joke when the case had gone to trial, as well as how the doctor had given her money and told her to run.

“Fucking bastard. Shit. Fuck!” Commissioner Retinue ranted. “The doctor verified that the woman’s statement was changed? Wait! What was the doctor’s name again?”

  “Dr. Lisa Martine,” Will answered.

“Hang on,” the commissioner mumbled. “I need to check something.”

Will heard the soft sound of a keyboard being thumped and tried to get his roiling emotions under lock and key while he waited. He glanced at Luke and he shook his head at his silent query, letting him know he had no idea what was going on. Just as he met Damon’s puzzled gaze, the commissioner cleared his throat and sighed.

“Dr. Lisa Martine died in a car accident three and a half years ago.”

“Shit. That can’t be a coincidence,” Damon snarled.

“No. I don’t think so either. It looks as if you are right, gentlemen,” the commissioner said. “I’ll have someone I can trust put on his ass immediately and reopen the investigation into the doctor’s death.”

“Her brother was found dead after being tortured in an alley. Officer Brush filed the report,” Luke informed the commissioner.

“I’ll get back to you in a couple of hours.” The commissioner disconnected the call.

Will sighed, placed the report on Luke’s desk, and then put the ice pack on his sore hand. He wanted to go home and be with Sally but he also wanted to hear what the commissioner found out. A few more hours at the office weren’t going to change the outcome. His woman was going to be so upset. He’d heard the devastation in her voice when she told them about Simon, but there had also been love.

“I know you’ve just started but I’m going to give you the rest of the day and next week off,” Luke said. “Sally’s going to need all of you nearby to come to terms with her grief.”

  “Thanks Luke, I appreciate it.”

“Don’t thank me. Just take care of your woman.”

  Will nodded.

Luke snatched up the phone as soon as it rang and pressed the speaker button. “That was fast.”

“Had the sergeant pull up the CCTV recordings from a nearby store. You were right. That fucking prick stood by and did nothing while Perez’s right-hand man cut Sally’s stepbrother up. He’s been arrested and charged with accessory to murder and is singing like a canary. Brush said that Phillip Ramon found where Sallyanne is hiding out and is probably already in Slick Rock.”

“Fuck!” Will shoved to his feet and hurried out. He needed to see Sallyanne, hold her in his arms, and make sure she was okay.

“Will, wait up. I’m coming with you.” Damon caught up with him and before long they were speeding toward his home in Damon’s vehicle.

Will tugged his phone out of his pocket to call Frank. Frank had gone into the office to catch up on some work. Only Rick and the Atkins men were at the house. As far as Will was concerned that wasn’t enough people to keep Sally safe. He wanted every able-bodied man toting a gun and surrounding his property.

He just hoped that it wasn’t already too late.

  * * * *

Sally sang along with the radio while she and Rick cleaned up the kitchen. She felt so lighthearted and wished she could be so happy and content for the rest of her life, but lurking in the back of her mind was the threat of Angelo Perez and his henchmen. No matter how hard she tried to keep the fear under wraps, it seemed to pop up at the most inopportune times.

Rick bumped her hip with his own and, laughing, reached out when she stumbled. She hadn’t expected that move but ended up in his arms and laughing right along with her. “So what’s next on the agenda, love?”

“I need to hang the wash out.”

“I can do that.” Rick squeezed her waist and leaned down to place a kiss on her lips. She sighed as desire began to swell, but she pushed it back down. Rocky, Bull, and Ridge were scouting about outside but could be back at any second and she didn’t want to get caught doing something more than just kissing. Which could have easily happened since, Rick, Frank, and Will seemed to get her motor revving at the drop of a hat.

“How about we do it together?” Sally suggested as she drew from Rick’s arms and turned toward the laundry room off of the kitchen.

“Sure thing, love. As the old saying goes, ‘many hands make light work.’”

“Well, aren’t you the philosophical one?” Sally smiled as she entered the laundry.

She and Rick worked quickly, hanging the wet clothes up on the clothes line and just as she pegged the last item up, she heard a car coming down the gravel drive. She glanced over at Rick to ask who would be visiting but he didn’t give her time to ask. He had her in his arms before she could blink. He ran back to the house and carried her inside before lowering her to her feet. After closing and locking the external door, he moved toward the kitchen. “Lock the door after I leave and don’t come out until I tell you to,” Rick ordered.

Sallyanne sucked in a deep breath and nodded just before he closed the door. She quickly locked it and shifted nervously from foot to foot, scared that Perez had found her and worried that Rick could get hurt. She hugged her arms around her waist and tried to keep her overactive imagination from taking over.

When she heard collective footsteps in the kitchen area, she held her breath and searched the room for a weapon, but there was nothing. Then she realized if someone was going to try to get to her they would be sneaking and she wouldn’t have heard them coming. She exhaled in a gust before sighing with relief.

“Sally, you can come out now, love.”

Sally unlocked and opened the door. The moment she saw that Rick had Will and Damon with her she knew something was gravely wrong. Her heart flipped and pounded in her chest when she saw the sadness in Rick’s, Will’s, and Damon’s gazes.

“Come and sit down, baby.” Will held his hand out toward her and she hurried over to him and clasped it tightly with her own. He led her over to the dining area of the big room, pulled a chair out from the table, and sat down before tugging her into his lap.

  “What’s going on?” Sally asked.

Rick, who’d been making coffee, set four mugs on the table just as the back door opened and Rocky, Bull, and Ridge came inside.

“Is there enough in the pot for us?” Rocky asked with a smile but that smile quickly turned to a frown when he felt the tension in the air.

Rick nodded and hurried back to the kitchen where he poured three more mugs of coffee from the large pot and, with Bull’s help, brought them back to the table. Ridge nodded his thanks before looking at Will and Damon, raising his brow in query. Will shook his head, ran his hands through his hair, and sighed loudly.

Sally held his hand, threading her fingers with his as she met his sorrowful gaze.

  “What’s up?” Rick frowned.

“Baby …” Will sounded so forlorn and she knew she wasn’t going to like what he was going to say because of the expression on his face. It was bad and he didn’t want to tell her, but she had to know.

“Tell me,” Sally whispered, squeezing his hand.

  “Your stepbrother, Simon Simpson ….”

The hair on the back of her neck stood on end, a knot of lead formed in her chest and her stomach began to churn. She swallowed audibly and nodded her encouragement for him to continue.

“Your brother’s dead, Sally. His body was found in an alley way a block or so from his apartment behind a Dumpster.”

Tears formed in her eyes and although she blinked to keep them back, they welled and rolled down her face. Will wrapped his arms around her and pulled her tight against her body. The tears fell faster and faster and then she was sobbing her heart out. After her parents had passed, Simon had gone off the rails and she hadn’t liked him very much, but before that, he
d been a wonderful, caring stepbrother. She cried for the boy and young man he once was, and hoped that he was now at peace up in heaven with her mom and stepdad.

When her tears slowed, she became aware of how Will was caressing her back and that Rick and Frank were rubbing her arms and legs. She hadn’t even noticed when Frank arrived, she’d been so caught up in her grief. Nor that Will had somehow managed to get her into the living room, away from the other men. She sniffed and sat up, wiping the moisture from her face.

“Here, sweetheart.” Frank must have gone out to the kitchen because he was holding the box of tissues in his hand and he handed over a wad of them. After blotting her face and blowing her nose, she sighed and sagged against Will.

She took a few moments and tried to get her grief under control.

“How did he die? Was it a drug overdose?”

“The toxicity results from the coroner’s lab found traces of cocaine in his blood,” Will explained as he glanced at Frank and Rick but she could tell he was leaving something out.

“What else?” Sally asked, her voice wavering on the last word.

  “I don’t think—”

  “Tell me! Please.”

Will sighed and scrubbed a hand over his face. “He was tortured.”

Sally cried out and covered her mouth with her hand. She felt so cold inside her bones began to ache and she began to tremble. There was no need to ask who or why her brother had been murdered. Her stomach roiled and sweat broke out on her brow. She shoved against Will’s arm and when he released her, she jumped from his lap and ran to the bathroom off her bedroom. She only just made it to her knees as the breakfast Rick had cooked for her came back up. She heaved until there was nothing left in her stomach and then dry retched until her belly muscles were sore.

Rick had followed her to the bathroom and held her hair from her face while she was sick and once she was finished, he flushed the toilet and lifted her from the floor. He sat her on the vanity and grabbed a washcloth from the cupboard before wetting it and wiping the sweat and tears from her face. Once he was finished he took her toothbrush from the holder, added toothpaste to it, and handed it to her.
