Mia hurriedly tied her dress up, shoving the nipple covers in her black clutch purse and standing up, trying her best to not look flustered.
“Oh, hi, Sarah is Mia in here?” Mia heard Izzy asking.
“Yep, she’s helping me clear up, Izzy, come in.”
“Hey, Izzy, we were just clearing up,” Mia said smiling and fiddling with her hair; half of the little white flower clips had fallen out, not surviving the passionate embrace with Sarah, and now her hair really was in a messy chignon.
“Yeah, Sarah told me that, you obviously both do cleaning barefoot. Look, that really doesn’t matter, Cody’s gone missing,” Izzy said.
Mia sat down once again, “Missing?”
“He’s not in his room, and I can’t find him anywhere,” Izzy answered, sitting down opposite Mia while Sarah stood beside the table.
“He’s probably just gone off for a walk, Izzy. Needed some alone time after the news Callum delivered,” Mia replied, hoping that she was right.
“I’d agree with you, Mia, but his bags are gone too,” Izzy said in a high-pitched tone.
He wouldn’t just up and leave me, or would he?
“I’ll try his cell. If that fails, I can try Callum’s; you never know, Cody might have gone to see him and sort things out.” She doubted it, and Cody’s way of sorting things out with Callum would probably be with a fist.
32. Chapter Two
With her sexual encounter with Sarah brought to an abrupt halt, Mia decided to try Cody’s cell back in her room. She picked up her sandals, said her goodnights touching Sarah lightly on her arm and made her way to the elevator.
“Hey, wait up girl!” she heard Sarah shouting behind her. “You want some company?”
However tempting the offer was, Mia felt she should refuse; after all, Cody had vanished, and besides that, the moment had been lost with the arrival of Izzy.
Could’ve gone for a threesome, I guess. That’s right, girl, you’ve just been told your boyfriend’s gone missing and is probably distraught and you’re thinking about threesomes with Izzy and Sarah. Where are your friggin morals?
“No, Sarah, I don’t think that’s a great idea,” she said, turning around to look at Sarah, who looked incredibly hot and inviting.
“If you’re sure. Here’s my cell number should you change your mind,” Sarah whispered, pressing a piece of paper into Mia’s hand and pecking her on the cheek as she did so.
Mia felt suddenly shy; smiling at Sarah, she said, “Thank you, and you’re so sexy; it’s taking all of my willpower to refuse you, but I must put Cody first.”
“I totally understand, Mia. It was fun, thank you.”
Sarah was so sweet. Mia returned her peck on the cheek, making Sarah giggle as she walked away leaving Mia standing waiting for the elevator.
The center was so quiet. “Just gone midnight, no wonder it’s so quiet,” she mumbled to herself, glancing at her watch and entering the empty elevator. Mia felt like a teenager returning from a secret night out at a forbidden party with her black strappy sandals in one hand and her clutch purse in the other.
She knew she looked a mess. Her hair was falling down around her shoulders now; the battle with the chignon had been lost, and Mia’s long black hair had decided to break free completely.
Her cell beeped as she was unlocking her door, “Great timing!” she muttered, struggling with her key card.
Eventually, the door opened, and Mia raced inside throwing her sandals on the floor and reaching for her purse. She undid the slightly stiff clasp and reached inside to find her cell, hoping the text received would be from Cody. Mia’s heart sank when she read the screen to see Izzy’s name.
‘Any news?’
Seriously, give me half a chance here, Izzy!
‘No not yet. Will let u know.’
Mia sat down on the bed scrolling through her contacts list and smiling when she found Cody’s name near the top of the list. She wondered why she was bothering to text him, really; he’d left without a word to her, so why should she care? Mia decided that wasn’t the right attitude and chose to text him anyhow.
‘Hey, I’m worried about u where r u? x’ she pressed send and waited.
After waiting for thirty minutes, she figured he probably wasn’t going to text back straight away and decided to get ready for bed.
It’d been a long night, and she felt exhausted.
Mia found the one white flower left hanging onto her hair and unclipped it, running her hands through her unruly long black hair. She found a band for her hair and tied it back loosely so she could remove her makeup and wash her face.
“That’s better.” She sighed, patting her face dry with a fluffy towel.
After a quick wash, and changing into a pair of cute short pajamas, Mia was ready for bed. Her cell had remained silent since Izzy’s text; she hoped Cody was okay and wondered whether to text him again or not. Mia decided to leave it, convincing herself that if he wanted to contact her, he would. She went to bed but didn’t sleep; instead, she tossed and turned most of the night.
As soon as she opened her eyes the next morning, her first thought was about Cody; she reached for her cell that she’d left on the bedside cabinet and was disappointed to see no new messages had been left.
“Wherever you are, you don’t wanna contact me that’s for sure,” Mia mumbled, putting her cell down.
She spotted the crumpled piece of paper on the cabinet with Sarah’s number on it and added it to her contacts list; she liked Sarah, and not just in a sexual way. She’d liked her way before she even knew about her lesbian tendencies; she was just a nice girl, gentle, kind, and caring.
Mia threw her cell on the bed as she sat up yawning and stretching her arms above her head. What a crap night’s sleep that was.
Her cell beeped, and Mia leapt on it, grabbing it from the bed in front of her. It was a message from Izzy, ‘Hey, Mia, unless u say u’ve heard from Cody we r searching 4 him 2day!’
‘We as in who? & no I’ve not heard from him.’
‘Yes me & u. Sarah said she’ll help 2 I’m with her now.’
Great, my two lesbian mates together!
‘Ok sounds like a plan be down soon.’
‘We r in the lobby will wait 4 u.’
‘Cool,’ Mia typed quickly and jumped out of bed, hunting for some suitable clothes. I’ve no idea where you plan on looking for Cody, but I’m guessing he won’t wish to be found.
A quick shower woke her up more, and she chose a pair of stonewashed skinny jeans, an orange T-shirt, and her gray and pale pink sneakers. Her long hair was tied up in a high ponytail, and her makeup was the bare minimum of a touch of black mascara and pale pink lipstick. Mia shoved her cell in her shoulder bag, grabbed her key card, and left the room.
Her tummy protested loudly, but it didn’t seem as though breakfast would be an option as Izzy and Sarah sounded as though they wanted to get started right away.
The lobby was busy when Mia arrived downstairs; there were people everywhere. Teenagers, their parents, staff from Thrill Seekers, and even Mia’s boss, Stuart, was there chatting to Izzy. Mia made her way toward Izzy and noticed her saying something to Stuart as she approached; Stuart turned around.
“Hey, Mia, how are you?” he asked, smiling nervously at her; Mia saw the usual beads of sweat on his brow and noticed how his hands were shaking as normal.
“Hey, Stuart, I’d no idea you’d be here, or all these other people,” Mia replied, trying to distance herself from him.
“Stuart’s here cos I asked him to be, Mia,” purred Izzy, standing by Stuart’s side.
And he’ll do anything you ask of him, that’s for sure. Normal attire for you Izzy, I see.
Izzy was dressed in tiny black tight shorts, which Mia assumed would be showing off virtually all of her tight ass judging by the cut of the front of them. Her top was a vivid yellow tight vest, which of course, was low cut, and with Izzy’s voluptuous figure, her ample breasts were threaten
ing to break free.
Her red hair was piled high on her head in a messy bun, and Mia had to admit she looked hot. A look that hadn’t escaped Stuart’s hungry eyes either; he was staring straight at Izzy’s heaving breasts, and even when he’d been speaking to Mia, his eyes had been wandering.
Wonder if you’ve groped her yet, Stuart?
“You asked him, why?” Mia asked, curious to hear Izzy’s reasoning behind inviting their boss.
“He heard that Cody had gone missing and wanted to make sure we covered the story right.”
“Wasn’t even aware there was a story, Izzy,” Mia replied.
“Cody’s missing, Mia, and there’s always a story when someone famous goes missing,” Stuart said now, looking right at Mia’s T-shirt-covered breasts. God, the guy never looks above chest level when talking to women!
Izzy linked her arm through Stuart’s now and purred, “Stu’s promised me the story, Mia, cos I thought you’d be too upset to write it.”
“Course you did,” Mia snapped. To think her and Cody had nearly had a threesome with her; she was so grateful they hadn’t as all Izzy thought about was where the next story was coming from, and she and Cody could well have been the next story. She could picture the headline now, ‘Hot Threesome at Thrill Seekers’ or ‘Sexy Reporter Kidnapped for Sex’. Mia smiled to herself.
“No need to be bitchy, Mia,” Izzy said, squeezing Stuart’s arm tightly and pushing a breast against him. Stuart reached up and wiped his brow; he was obviously becoming hot and bothered by Izzy, she certainly had him where she wanted him.
“Hey, Mia,” Sarah’s voice broke Mia’s thoughts as she looked up and saw the pretty receptionist waving at her. She was such a refreshing sight with her shoulder length brown hair now back in a tidy plait and her pale hazel eyes just displaying a hint of makeup. Her ample breasts were concealed behind a tight blue T-shirt. Mia pictured Sarah’s dark pink nipples and felt her face reddening.
“Hey, Sarah, good to see you here,” Mia said, walking toward her and leaving Izzy and Stuart behind. “Thank you for rescuing me from those two.”
“My pleasure, always happy to help a sexy woman in distress,” Sarah replied smiling.
Mia noticed how the tightness of her T-shirt clung to her magnificent breasts, showing their incredible shape without having to be like Izzy with everything on display.
“I take it you’ve not heard from Cody?” Sarah asked.
“Nothing at all, Sarah. Trust friggin Izzy to get in on the action; honestly, that woman drives me crazy!” What was I thinking in Cody’s room that night? I shouldn’t have let my guard down with her.
“She’s doing her job, I guess, Mia. There sure are a lot of people here to help with the search,” Sarah replied.
“Yeah, doing her job, but honestly, Sarah, she doesn’t have to suck up to Stuart quite as much, and yes, I’m surprised by the number of people here.”
“Okay, listen up folks! We’re going to be leaving shortly,” a male voice said. Mia didn’t recognize the guy, but she knew there were other team leaders at the center, none as popular as Cody for the activity side of things, though.
“That’s Zach, an instructor here,” whispered Sarah as they moved closer to hear Zach properly.
“Now we think Cody’s still around the area here, possibly in the forest region. Personally, I think he’s gone off for some alone time, but he could be in danger: we don’t know what supplies, if any, he’s taken with him,” he continued.
Zach was about 6’1”, slim, and very athletically built. His hair was black and short; there was a small gold hoop earring in his left ear, and he sported several tattoos down his muscular arms. Mia guessed his age at around thirty.
He began organizing people into groups and was soon approaching Mia and Sarah.
“Hey Sarah, and you must be Mia?” Zach said with a warm smile.
“Yes, that’s me. How do you know me?”
“Well, shucks this is friggin awkward, but Cody always told us he was with a hot reporter called Mia. He described you with long black hair and a super sexy body.” Zach giggled nervously.
Mia giggled with him. “There’s a compliment for you!”
“Just saying it as it is, that’s all. Do you know why Cody’s gone? I heard about the other night at the party, about him being adopted and all. Do you reckon that’s upset him enough to make him vanish like this?” Zach asked.
Mia liked him, his attitude was good, and he was quite charming. “I know it was a shock to him, Zach. I just figured, as you did. that he’d gone off for some alone time to think about things.”
“I’m pretty sure that’s what he’s done, but like I said, we don’t know if he’s just bolted with no provisions or gone prepared.”
“Izzy did say his bags were gone, so I’m guessing he’s got stuff with him,” Mia answered, hoping that Cody had the sense to take something with him.
“Okay, Mia, thanks, that’s helpful. Listen, you two can head off together cos I know Sarah you know the forest, and Mia you’ve been hiking through it; just beware of bears,” Zach said, smiling at them both.
“Sure thing, Zach, thanks,” replied Sarah.
“He seems a cool guy,” Mia said quietly as they began their walk into the forest.
“Who Zach? Yeah, he’s awesome, Mia. We had a thing a while ago, but it never really went anywhere,” Sarah said. “We’ve stayed good mates, and that’s great.”
“Fair enough, so you with anyone now?” Mia quizzed, keen to find out what she could. Sarah had always remained a bit of an enigma; never divulging much information about herself.
“Nope, I’m young, free, and single, Mia; why, you offering to be my girlfriend?”
Mia looked at Sarah, who winked cheekily at her. “If I wasn’t with Cody, then maybe.”
“Didn’t stop you with me last night,” a husky-voiced Sarah said.
“You’re quite right, Sarah, it didn’t. I was so horny, and you’re so damn sexy, but at the end of the day, I’m with Cody.”
“For now you are. I bet I could change your mind in a flash. It’d only take a glimpse of my hard dark pink nipples again, and you’d be mine.”
“Seriously, Sarah, I never knew you had it in you!”
Sarah laughed. “They always say to watch the quiet ones!”
The two of them laughed together and then wondered why the others were staring at them.
“Shit, we should be serious, Sarah,” Mia whispered while smiling at the rest of the people walking by.
“Yeah, you’re probably right. I meant what I said, though, and I’ll prove it to you soon when we’re alone; I’ll flash my tits at you and watch you become mine,” and with those parting words Sarah walked off leaving Mia with the perfect view of her tight ass in blue jeans wriggling up the slope. She’d left Mia feeling aroused once again.
33. Chapter Three
The slope seemed so much steeper than when Mia had first climbed it with Cody and the teenagers; she remembered back to how Alice had struggled with the slope then.
“You okay? You did say to take the steeper trail, Mia,” Sarah asked, stopping beside Mia.
“Yes, I’m fine, sorry, just a little out of breath,” Mia breathed, panting hard.
“We can rest if you want.”
“No, let’s keep going, Sarah,” replied Mia, standing with her hands on her hips and trying to catch her breath.
“Come on, I’ll help you,” Sarah said, linking her arm through Mia’s and pulling her forward.
Mia smiled. “Slave driver!”
“That’s me. Come on, work those sexy legs!”
Mia laughed. Sarah cheered her up, she was good company, and Mia liked her a lot. Add to that her obvious sex appeal, and Sarah came out as just about perfect. If Mia weren’t with Cody, then perhaps things would be different.
The other people in the group had now wandered off on different paths to Sarah and Mia; they were the only ones who’d selected the steeper trail. Mia
wasn’t complaining as it was nice to be away from them and alone with Sarah.
“So how long have you been working for Cody?”
“So that’s what we’re gonna do now? Small talk? I’d rather stop and kiss you,” replied Sarah, stopping abruptly.
Mia blushed. She didn’t remember Sarah being this direct before; she’d always come across as a shy girl.
“I’m actually interested in your story, Sarah.”
“Why you gonna do a story on me, too?” Sarah asked abruptly.
“No, of course not! I’m interested in Sarah, the person, that’s all. Let’s not argue, Sarah,” Mia felt bad now.
“You know the great thing about arguing, don’t you? The makeup sex rocks!”
Mia shoved her elbow into Sarah’s side as they walked along arm in arm, making Sarah giggle. They fell silent, just enjoying each other’s company; Mia was feeling relaxed, and even though they were searching for Cody, she felt comfortable with Sarah.
The water was rushing beside them, and Mia had a sudden awful thought of Cody’s feet slipping, did you fall in the water? Are you hurt?
She shivered at the thought. “Someone just walk over your grave?”
“Something like that, Sarah, just had an awful thought about Cody falling in the water.”
“As far as I know, he’s a pretty great swimmer, Mia, the water’s cold for sure, but even so I’m sure he’d be okay, girl,” Mia felt Sarah squeezing her arm as she spoke the words.
“Yeah, I’m sure he’s fine.” She didn’t know if she were trying to convince Sarah or herself with her words.
They continued the steep climb, and with every step, Mia’s fear grew for Cody. There were so many unanswered questions, starting with why he left in the first place?
Mia’s cell beeped in her shoulder bag. “Shit, that could be him, Sarah!” she cried, dropping to her knees on the soft forest floor. Mia rummaged through her bag; finding her cell and squinting to see the screen through the sunlight, she read the message.
It was from Cody, “It’s him, Sarah, it’s him!”
