Interview with a Billionaire: Billionaire Romance Box Set Page 25

by Brooks, Sarah J.

“Shut up; you didn’t. Oh, please tell me you didn’t, Mia.”

Mia felt her cheeks warming as she answered her mate quietly, “Umm, it was a moment of madness. I was pissed off with Cody. I went for a walk with both Callum and his wife Sophia; things got out of hand with the three of us.”

“The three of you? Shit, Mia, what the fuck happened?”

“Like I said, things got out of hand, that’s all.”

“Things don’t just get out of hand Mia. What the fuck’s wrong with you?”

Mia had no answer for her actions. She now felt riddled with guilt.

“I’m sorry, Mia. I shouldn’t have gone off on one like that girl,” said Eliza.

“Don’t apologize, Eliza, I deserved it, and to answer your question, I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I’ve turned lesbian too what with Sophia, Sarah, and Izzy.”

“What? When did all this happen?” Eliza squealed.

“Nothing actually happened with either Sarah or Izzy; nearly, but not quite. Cody does know about Callum and Sophia.”

“Okay, well, that’s something, I suppose, and what did he say?”

“He forgave me, Eliza, and we moved on, but now what if I’m pregnant and it’s Callum’s?”

“You need to get a pregnancy test honey, just to be sure. You want me to come there?”

“No, Eliza. You’ve got your life there, but thank you for the offer. I’ll be fine, and tomorrow, I’ll get hold of a kit in town; I guess knowing one way or the other will help me move forward.” She knew Eliza was right; she needed to know. She was on the pill but knew that wasn’t always enough, and neither Cody or Callum had used condoms, so she could easily be pregnant.

The girls ended their chat, and Mia broke down in tears; what with this and Cody finding out about his adoption, it’d been a rough time recently. Finding out they’re pregnant might be music to some girls’ ears, but to Mia, it was anything but music.

She couldn’t provide for a child; she was a mere reporter, and now it looked like Cody had no money to speak of. The timing was shit. Mia hadn’t even considered the prospect of kids—she’d never been maternal in a big way; maybe sometime in the future, but not now.

“Fuck, I’m going to have to go into town today and get a kit; I can’t carry on not knowing,” she said into her empty bedroom, wiping her tearstained face.

She checked her reflection in the mirror and was relieved to see some color had returned to her face once again. Mia looked so much like a child herself today with her long black hair in playful pigtails and hardly any makeup on; it made her wonder how she could possibly bring a child into the world.

Mia felt alone. Sure she knew she had Cody and Eliza, but right now, she felt alone and angry with herself for being so foolish in the first place. Why did she have a threesome? Why did she try and seduce Sarah? Why was she so easily led by Izzy?

“Fuck this soul-searching bullshit; I’m outta here!” Mia snapped, grabbing her shoulder bag from the bed and leaving the room.

“Hey, you how are you feeling?” Cody asked as she walked into reception.

“Hey. I threw up. Not sure why, but I’m feeling better now. I’m off into town for a bit, Cody,” she replied, not making a big deal out of her sickness.

“I’ll come with you,” he replied. Shit, no. How am I supposed to buy a pregnancy kit with you there?

She tried to think on her feet and couldn’t come up with a viable reason for him not to join her so within five minutes, she and Cody were making their way to town.

  “Probably something you ate, Mia.”

“Huh, pardon?” she replied, completely lost in her own thoughts.

“Your sickness was probably from something you ate; you’re all over the place, Mia. You sure you’re okay?”

Mia hardly heard a word Cody said as she was so absorbed in her own thoughts. Cody stopped her walking and held her arm gently, “Listen, I’m worried about you, Mia. You don’t seem yourself; I know I was a bit off earlier when Izzy was saying about what happened between the two of you.”

“It’s not that Cody, not that at all. I’m just a bit concerned about my job and what I’m gonna do for money; that’s all—I’m sorry,” she lied.

She felt him holding her hand. “Hey, I know you’ve got a lot on your mind right now, pixie. It’ll all work out, I promise.”

“God, I’m a selfish cow with all your worries, Cody. I’m sorry.” Mia felt guilty; he had so much to think about right now, and the last thing he needed was her moaning on.

He squeezed her arm gently, staring into her eyes, “One thing you’re not is selfish, Miss Adams, you hear me?”

Mia smiled up at him and then burst into tears; emotional or what? Maybe I’m pregnant after all.

She felt his strong arms holding her. “Hey, remember, whatever’s wrong, I’m here for you. Never forget that pixie.”

Will you be, though, if I’m truly pregnant, Cody? Will you stand by my side then? Should I tell him the truth?

Instead, she opted for another lie; it was easier to lie for now. It wasn’t right, and she knew that, but it was just easier.

“I know you’re there for me, Cody, I do. I’m fine, just been a rough few days that’s all.”

He seemed satisfied with her answer, and they continued along the sidewalk into town. The weather was warm, not too hot, just warm. Mia enjoyed the warmth from the mid-morning sun on her skin; Cody held her hand tightly as they walked. His strides were so much longer than hers, and she had to walk quickly just to keep up with him.

She was out of breath quickly and glanced at him when the town came into sight; his hair was beginning to escape from the navy Alice band with one or two loose strands falling onto his handsome face.

What kind of father would you make? With your upbringing, would it be hard for you to be a dad? Jeez, Mia, cut it out!

Her mind was racing ahead; she’d no idea if she was indeed pregnant, and if she was, how Cody would react to the news. He may surprise her and be happy with the news, or he may hate the idea and never wish to have kids.

Mia put the whole thing from her mind for now and tried to work out how she could actually go into a pharmacy and buy a pregnancy kit without him knowing.

She’d have to think quickly as they were approaching the small town fast; think, think, girl!

“I’ve got a few personal bits to buy in here Cody, so do you wanna wait outside?” she asked as they stood outside the pharmacy.

“Oh, okay sure.” He smiled. “You go and get your girly things; I’ll be here.”

Great, now he thinks I’m buying Tampax! Better thinking that, though, I guess.

Mia simply smiled and walked into the busy pharmacy; she picked up a pregnancy kit and handed it to the checkout girl.

“Clearblue pregnancy kit!” the girl yelled back to the pharmacist.

“Seriously?” You just had to do that, didn’t you?

Mia’s face turned bright red while she tried to remain calm; it felt like every single person in the store was staring at her. She paid as quickly as she could and stuffed the kit into her bag, racing outside as she did so.

“All done?” Cody asked. “Wanna grab some lunch?”

“Sure, I’d like that Cody.” Lunch seemed a simple thing, and simple was just what Mia needed right now.

They walked hand in hand to the nearest café, and Mia hoped their bubble wouldn’t burst; they’d been through so much already together, and she didn’t want to lose Cody. The timing was shit, though, with the adoption thing and her being with Callum and Sophia—and what if the baby was Callum’s?

Mia pushed the thought from her mind and enjoyed her lunch with Cody; there was nothing she could do right now. The pregnancy test would tell her the news, good or bad.

“So when are you heading back to Vancouver, pixie?” he asked, smiling at her across the table. The café was quiet and very quaint; the decoration was subtle, and they sold their own hand-cooked cakes and coo
kies.

Mia swallowed her food and then replied, “Not sure yet; I’ll phone the office tomorrow and speak to Stuart. Find out if I’ve still got a job to return to or not.”

“You know your job’s safe Mia as Izzy already told you she’d been fired.”

“Yeah, well, I don’t trust Stuart, and I’m amazed he fired Izzy after all their little sex episodes together; I never thought he’d get rid of her over me Cody,” she’d been genuinely surprised when Izzy had told her the news.

“I must admit it came as a shock to me, too. I’ve heard you talking about how Izzy always charms Stuart with her umm sexuality.” He coughed nervously, making Mia giggle.

“Well, you gotta hand it to her, though, Cody cos as we know, she’s friggin sexy and uses it to her best advantage.” Mia smiled, winking at him; the dimples were back as he smiled back at her.

“I’ve missed you pixie, missed this easygoing feeling between us. Let’s not fight anymore.”

She reached for his hands across the table, squeezing them tightly, “Sounds good to me, cos I’ve missed you too, so much.”

It was true. So okay, he’d pissed her off by assuming she was only concerned about him losing his wealth, but he’d been upset, so she’d let him off the hook.

“What will you do now?” she asked, intrigued to hear his answer.

“You mean after taking you outside, finding a quiet place, and running my hands all over your sexy body?”

She blushed, feeling the heat spreading from her cheeks down her slender neck. “Yes after that.” Mia smiled, enjoying the first feelings of arousal between her legs.

Cody smiled at her. “I’ve no idea, Mia. The damage Callum’s done will have repercussions for sure. I’ll lose everything; my money, Thrill Seekers, but hopefully, not you.”

He added the last bit with a question in his voice. “Why don’t you wanna lose me, Cody?” Mia fished.

“Well, the fact that I love you for one, and for two, your sexy body just begs to be touched all of the time. God, I’m so horny right now, Mia. Come on, let’s get the bill and get out of here,” he said almost impatiently.

Hmm, a horny Cody; just what I wanted; glad I opted for sexy panties today.

Cody insisted on paying for their lunch, and as he did so, Mia waited outside. The sun had come out properly now, and it was hot.

“Come on, there are some quiet spots heading back to the center,” he said, grabbing her hand and rushing her along.

They reached a small wooded area and walked as far as they could into the tall trees. Cody kissed her mouth hard while his hands traveled beneath her short denim pinafore and pulled her silk panties down.

“God, I want you, Mia,” he breathed in her ear. She gasped as his fingers found her moist wetness and began to rub gently. He kissed her neck softly while she reached for his belt and undid his black jeans; she pulled them down, and he turned her around to face the tall tree in front of her.

Mia placed her hands on the old trunk to steady herself while she bent forward with her short dress pulled up over her naked tight ass. She cried out as Cody gently eased his stiff rod inside her wet, hot sheath. She opened her legs as far as the panties around her ankles would allow, and he placed his hands on her waist from behind, holding her still as he plunged his hardness into her harder and faster.

There was no foreplay, simply just sex. It felt fantastic to Mia, almost primal; normally, she needed her sensitive clitoris to be rubbed, but on this occasion, her hard orgasm came without it. She felt his warm seed spilling inside her as he grunted with satisfaction.

  37. Chapter Seven

“Wow, that was unexpected but lovely,” she panted while pulling her panties back up and straightening her dress.

“Yeah, I suddenly wanted you, Mia,” he explained.

“No need to explain Cody, that was brilliant!”

A guy whistled to his dog nearby, and the couple started giggling uncontrollably. Cody pulled his jeans up, and they walked with their arms wrapped around one another out of the wood and back onto the main route to the center.

All thoughts of her potential pregnancy had left her mind temporarily, and for the moment, Mia was content.

“We both needed that, pixie, and you’re so sexy I could fuck you all day,” he whispered into her ear.

“Promises, promises!” she laughed, punching him playfully and running off. She heard his quickening footsteps behind her and began screaming and running faster; she knew it was pointless as his long legs could easily catch up with her shorter ones.

She felt his arms wrapping around her from behind and lifting her in the air; Mia squealed, kicking her legs out in front of her as Cody spun her around and around. Her pigtails were flying out from the side of her head, and her short skirt had ridden up nearly enough to display her silk panties to the world.

He eventually put her on the ground, ensuring her balance was okay before letting her go; their carefree days had returned. Mia was the happiest she’d been for a long time; there was no way she could tell Cody about her pregnancy.

Rushing ahead there girl, as you don’t even know if you’re pregnant yet.

To see him so happy was a rare treat, and Mia didn’t want to burst his bubble; she figured that until the test was done, there was no point anyhow; she’d nothing definite to tell him. So she enjoyed the moment and walked back toward the center arm in arm with the guy she loved.

As soon as they reached the center and opened the door, Mia heard the familiar dulcet tones of her mom’s voice, “Mia, there you are at long last; I’ve been waiting for you.”

“Mom! What are you doing here? Is Dad here too?” she asked, not really wishing to see her dad right now. She knew he’d be critical of both her and Cody.

  “No, dear, I came alone.”

Relief flooded through Mia’s body as she heard the words that her mom was alone, “Well, this is a surprise. What are you doing here?”

“Can’t a mom visit her daughter without an inquisition?”

“Not if that daughter’s called Mia, no,” Cody commented. Mia saw him smiling at her mom and knew she’d been won over by his dimpled face and crinkled eyes.

“And you must be Cody?” her mom asked, holding her hand out toward him, which he took and shook firmly.

“Yes, ma’am, that’s me! Pleased to meet you.”

“Handsome and polite, he’s a keeper this one, Mia.” Her mom laughed while Mia blushed and rolled her eyes at Cody.

“Well, I will leave you two lovely ladies alone, and I’ll catch up with you again, I hope, Mrs. Adams.”

“Call me Cheryl, please. I was hoping we could have supper together tonight, the three of us,” her mom said, smiling at both Cody and Mia.

Terrific, supper with Mom and Cody. Oh, what friggin fun that’ll be, not!

“That’d be lovely Mrs. A … I mean Cheryl. I’ll look forward to it; see you both around 8 p.m.” He kissed Mia lightly on the cheek and headed for the elevator. Mia missed him already. She felt awkward left alone with her mom; after what she and Cody had been doing on their walk back to the center, she felt slightly embarrassed.

“Got a good one there, Mia. So how have you been? You look radiant my girl, almost glowing, you are.”

“Why are you here, Mom? You wouldn’t have come without a reason, so spill,” Mia said, guiding her mom into the empty lounge area and thinking about the night she and Sarah had grown intimate in the room.

“Your dad read something about Cody in the paper, how it’d been found out that he was adopted. We were worried about you Mia.”

“Well, it’s true, Mom, he’s adopted and didn’t know anything about it. We fought about the whole situation, and he stands to lose pretty much everything he has,” Mia explained, sitting on a couch next to her mom.

  “And will he lose you?”

“God, no! Seriously, what is it with everyone? First Cody and now you; I won’t leave him. I love him, Mom, wealth or no wealth,” she snapp
ed and then regretted taking such a harsh tone with her mom.

“I only asked Mia, no need to be so defensive. I’m on your side, dear.”

“I know, and I’m sorry. The last few days have been rough on all of us, Mom.”

“Hey, Mia!” Sarah said, standing in front of the couch. Mia hadn’t even seen her entering the room.

“Hey you, oh, Sarah this my mom, and mom this is Sarah, Cody’s brilliant receptionist,” Mia said, looking at Sarah and noticing how the pretty receptionist was studying her silky-smooth bare legs.

“Well, once receptionist, Mia. Cody’s just told me my job ends next week cos he’s leaving the center,” Sarah replied sadly.

“So it’s definite then? I thought he may be able to stay on for a while, Sarah,” replied Mia.

“So did I Mia,” Sarah answered while smiling at Mia’s mom.

“So sad, isn’t it? This center’s lovely,” her mom said.

Both Mia and Sarah nodded in agreement, “Anyhow, I came over to ask if you guys wanted a coffee?”

“Yes, that’d be lovely, thanks, Sarah,” Mia replied, smiling shyly up at her.

Sarah left to fetch their coffees. “She’s very nice, Mia.”

“Yes, she’s a lovely girl, Mom.”

Her mom looked at her in the way that only moms do. “I get the feeling perhaps young Sarah’s a bit more than just lovely to you, my girl.”

Mia’s face gave her away. She knew she was blushing. Sarah returned at that moment, and Mia thanked her and pulled away when Sarah accidently touched her hand as she placed the tray down on the table in front of them.

She glanced across at her mom, who was nodding at her slowly, “Looks like you’ve been having a good time, Mia, and although I don’t condone what you seem to be doing, I’ve got to say you look as though you’re thriving on it.”

Radiant and glowing were her words; shit, aren’t you radiant when you’re pregnant?

Mia pushed the thought away and then remembered the kit in her shoulder bag, “So I take it you’re staying the night then, Mom?”

“Yes, dear, just the one night.”

They finished their coffee in silence, and Mia showed her mom to her room, which was on the same floor as Cody’s, and one above hers. She was grateful for the sanctuary of her room as she shut the door behind her.
