Lyle falls to the side and I wedge into the space between him and Adam.
When our breathing finally evens out, well, Lyle’s and mine, Lyle brings my hand to his lips for a courtly kiss. “How do you feel, my love?”
“Like I could take on a pugilist and win and then ride cross country bare-back before traipsing up and down the stairs three at a time.” I chuckle with happiness.
“Excellent. What sort of brilliant machinery shall we fashion next?”
“We?”
“Oh, yes. We. After I take you and Adam for a ride in my airship this afternoon, might I be so bold as to suggest that we make an Eve as a companion for your Adam?”
I roll my head to side to see how Adam is faring, hoping we haven’t blown all his gears out of alignment.
“Adam, how are you—”
Before I can even finish, he nods and flashes me a huge grin before closing his eyes to enter stasis and cool down.
Pondering the wild notion of a threesome and even a foursome, I sigh and close my eyes, too, saying, “I think we’re going to need a bigger bed.”
“Anything you want, heart of my heart, anything at all.”
