“That’s why I’m telling you no Sammy”. Stomps her foot.
Stopping at a red light Seth noticed the pet store gave a smile and looks at Samantha sad.
Thirty minutes later making it back home, Seth walked into the apartment and standing by the kitchen sink, Missy turned around asking, “Gee where you been so long?” Setting his keys down replied, “The dentist”.
“Everything okay?”
“Yeah just fine”. Sat down by the table.
Samantha walked in holding a white fluffy toy poodle puppy and eyes huge pointing, Missy asked, “What’s that?”
“Aw a puppy Missy”.
“I know that, what’s it doing here?”
Smiling Sammy replied, “Daddy bought him for me”.
Folding arms upset Missy remarked, “Oh really”.
“Cute little fellow, right Babe?”
“Don’t babe me”. Threw the dishtowel.
“What’s the big deal?”
“We live in an apartment building Seth”.
“So what”.
Holding the puppy Sammy asked, “Daddy can I go show Nana?”
“Sure go on honey, but keep away from Uncle Shane, he’s allergic”, smirks. “Okay daddy”, and gave him a kiss on the cheek adding, “Thanks I’m so happy”. “I’m glad Sammy”, walked out the door and Missy huffing remarked, “Well I’m not”. “Why not, many people have pets”.
“Sure they do, but guess who will be taking care of it”.
“Sammy”.
“Wrong Seth, she’s goes to school, you work, it will be me, thanks for asking me first”. Storming in the other room, “Aw come Missy, it’s just a dog”.
One week later.
It was the morning of Shane’s trial and nervous Brenda stood on the back porch smoking like a chimney.
She yelled, “Kids the school bus is here” and running like a stampede comes seven long haired young Wiley boys rushed by her.
Catching her breath from a sudden wind gust, she said, „”Well gee bye boys”. Running down the yard they all hollered, “Bye Nana” as she smiled.
Watched three other Wiley boys run out of the apartment building along with two Wiley girls, Brenda said, “Good lord what a crew, thirteen in school and six to young yet”.
Taking an inhale, added, “Oh Christmas will break Nana, definitely, nineteen grandkids”.
Shook her head saying, “I sure hope the stork got lost, it has been awhile and with this many youngsters I will strangle that darn bird!”
Danny Ray comes to the back door saying, “Ready Brenda it’s 8:20”.
“No I am not ready for this, but have to lord knows how I dread it”.
“It will work out”.
Putting her cigarette out into an ashtray, she replied, “Hope you’re always right!” Twenty minutes later, at the county courthouse for Shane’s big hearing and sitting inside on the benches nervously.
Were Danny Ray and Brenda with her four boys, Shawn, Saul, Stanley and Seth that was jittery already?
It was 9:00 am on the big clock on the sidewall when the other side comes in and Brenda looked at the very young girl as her long reddish brown hair hung past her tiny waist and her parents seemed upset.
Playing with her locket nervously twisting it Brenda hung her head and could not believe her son done this crime.
Standing up front are two attorneys and two prosecutors talking and looking at them Danny Ray was real nervous to as he knew this charge was the worst and feared Shane being locked up a long time.
Brenda kept glancing over at the young girl and gave a funny expression her eyes become large when she saw the girl grab her stomach and heave as Brenda said, “Oh no, the Wiley stork return”. Saul pats his mother on the shoulder saying, “Keep your voice down”.
“I’m ringing it’s neck”, and dark eyes large Danny Ray said, “Brenda you have to be still”, and her four boys all turned around giving her a serious look as she said, “Yeah you will see come the holidays born fools and baby makers”
Annoyed, Danny Ray said, “Aw Brenda, you’re going to have to hush”, her boys nodded eye rolling.
Putting her hand to her head said, “Oh lord why is nineteen not enough you want an even number huh”, and Shawn turned around saying, “Aw maw you are going to get us kicked out” as she said, “I’d like to kick something”.
Danny Ray fussing with a bottle of antacid pills he brought.
The bailiff finally comes out and said, “All rise”, and Brenda took hold of Danny Ray’s hand as the judge entered?
A side door opened when a deputy brought Shane out, that saw his family and Brenda blew him a kiss as he just nodded. Danny Ray noticed Shane’s black eye and knew jail was rough.
Sat down next to his attorney and Seth whispered, “Hey Stan, he’s not wearing orange its dark blue”.
“It’s all the same brother”, Seth shrugged.
Chapter 3.
The hearing began and went downhill for Shane fast as the judge heard the gore details of one tragic night.
However, it was time for Shane to get up on the stand and tell his side of the horrible story he had a black eye.
Once being sworn in and seated his family gave frowns and saw he was scared and sure nervous.
The prosecuting side of course put Shane through the ringer as his family becomes very shaken up and this looked bad for Shane.
Especially after, he admitted having sexual intercourse with the young girl unwillingly. The defending side now stepped forward and it was time for Shane to tell the court his version.
Shane started and his family all looked on with eyes large and hands jittering, looked down a few times and said, “Truth is I could never hurt a female in any way, Gosh I never would since I know how terribly wrong it is”.
The attorney asked, “Why do you feel it’s so horrible Mr. Wiley?”
Folded his hands tightly, replied, “Because their girls and I have lived through the agony of how hurting a female is wrong”.
Told to continue and Shane said, “A vicious attack took my twin sister’s life, she died from such brutal force”.
Brenda now had tears rolling and Danny Ray put his arm around her. The Wiley’s sniffle, when the attorney said, “Why don’t you fill this court in on what you found one tragic day and why it was a given you never could commit such a crime”.
Teary eyed, Shane said, “We found my sister with her face almost beyond recognition”, and Brenda cried, Danny Ray held her tighter.
The attorney said, “Go on Mr. Wiley tell the story”, and looking at his mother hated that she would have to relive the horrible day she lost her only daughter.
“I was only fifteen and of course, Sandy Gail was to we were twins she was just a baby though to us boys”.
“She was beautiful thick long jet-black hair past her tiny frame, she was so beautiful, sweet gal to”.
“It was a Friday afternoon”, and Shane now closed his eyes and drifted back to one dreadful day.
We all walked home from school together not Shawn though, because he just graduated and the oldest.
It was a strict rule to always walk our only sister home and one we stuck to faithfully and sure did not mind, as she was a true princess to us boys.
We guarded her with our life until that day everything went wrong.
Saul had been arguing with his girlfriend Abigail and Stanley and Sebastian got another detention over fighting.
Seth was home sick that day and I was trying to round the boys up as Sandy had forgotten something inside the school and I told her it would take a bit anyway as we both looked at Saul begging his girl not to break up with him and Sandy laughed running back inside.
At that point everything went drastically wrong, because after Sebastian and Stanley comes out from detention our sister never come back out.
Of course, we all panicked, including Saul as his fight ended fast over Sandy missing. We run all up down the whole school and she was nowhere to be found. It was s
trange and sure becoming a mystery.
We told no one, took matters in our own hands and the four of us run fast into the wooded area, Saul led us in that direction and he was slightly older to and sly as a fox . Running all over, up and down among the many tree’s, split up in two teams, me and Sebastian and Saul with Stanley then I will never forget hearing my brother Saul scream bloody murder it was chilling to the bone at that moment.
Me and Sebastian ran very fast following Saul’s cry of pain as it was the first time he ever shed a tear and few minutes later we all four would be crying.
Stood above our only sister that was beaten to death there was a bloody brick lying next to her and clothes torn off.
At that moment freaked out in tears and a lot of anger rose when Saul took his flannel shirt off and covered her up, it was just awful.
Then Saul bent lifting our bloody sister up into his arms as her head dropped completely back lifeless.
Sandy was gone and I flipped running away with Sebastian following me, I run over to this kid Bruce’s house, because rumor was he liked our sister and bothered her as we all had fought him prier over it.
He comes out the door, I lunged him like a wolf fast and right on target, I beat the pulp out of him and that’s the first charge of assault I got.
If Sebastian hadn’t been there honestly at that moment truth is I would have took his head off for thinking he brutally hurt our only sister Sandy Gail Wiley. Took off after Bruce lay hurt, we meet up with Saul carrying Sandy in his arms, our brother Stanley in nonstop tears right beside.
I had to stop twice though due to Sebastian and Stanley throwing up, because there was a lot of blood covering our trail from our poor sister.
It was too much for a thirteen and twelve-year- old to witness.
Our sixteen-year-old brother Saul though, showed his mighty strength, carried Sandy for miles in his arms never stopping until he reached home.
A true nightmare in our family and even youngest ten-years- old only looked down upon our dead sister taken so tragically.
Shane opened his eyes and looked at his mother that had her head placed onto his uncle shoulder crying very heavily.
The courtroom was silent and sounds of many sniffles, Shane nervously playing with his fingers said, “Whoever done such a vicious crime against our only sister was never to be found and sure would remain a mystery”.
For life?
The judge just looked at Shane that added, “Honestly, living with the memory of my sister murdered, knew in life that I could never put one finger on a girl wrong in anyway”.
The attorney asked, “Now tell us about the night you committed such a violent crime”. “Truth is, I begged to die and come real close, because they beat me like I never dreamed of or ever endured”.
The attorney said, “In other words you would have rather them kill you then touch that girl”.
“Yes, I refused and they beat me over and over telling me get on her or bang your dead”. “Pointed at a gun at you Mr. Wiley?”
“Yes”, wipes watery eyes.
“So you’re telling this court that you told them you were not about to commit this vicious act”.
“Yes it took a few more beatings and a knife to my throat then finally a gun held against the back of my head, forcing me to do it”.
Wiping tears added, “I saw a few men ripping her clothes off, it was just pure hell”.
The Wiley’s were all wiping tears and the attorney told Shane to continue. “At that point I lost it and shouted just shoot me, because no way in hell I’ll ever touch a girl wrong”.
Brenda gave a slight smile now as Danny Ray nodded.
The attorney looked at Shane and said, “Tell this court what did happen next”. Tears rolling, Shane replied, “The worst ever and at this point I hated being a male”. Danny Ray pulled a bottle of antacid pills out of his denim jacket pocket and took quite a few, noticed Brenda shook her head in tears.
The attorney asked, “You’re telling this court after all you endured and fought hard against doing, you did have sexual intercourse with this young girl?”
“Yes, after a little time though, because I was far from aroused, it wasn’t that easy, I kept stopping and they kept punching away at me”. Hanging his head.
Shane was told to step down when the young girl comes forward, sworn in, and began
to tell her side, as she shook crying.
However, it sure had shown that Shane told the truth, because the girl actually begged
him just do it and get it over with their going to kill you and look at your wife on the bed
she needs help.
Danny Ray whispered to Brenda, “Your boys coming home”, and sigh saying, “Oh I think
your right seems to be”.
The Girl in tears added, “I gave Mr. Wiley the right away to do it, because his wife was dying, he kept refusing telling me he could not, but finally did, afterwards those men forced me to make the call to the police and if I did not follow orders I would end up worse than Mr. Wiley’s wife”.
Crying heavily the girl also informed the court that those men told her they knew where she lived and if she dropped the rape charges she would die.
Therefore, the young girl asked a few more questions and told the courtroom she was expecting Mr. Wiley’s child.
At that moment, Shane fell off the chair with Brenda slightly rose saying, “You’re hit for sure stork!”
The attorney asked, “You’re expecting the defendants child you just told this court?” “Yes I am six weeks”, and Shane almost went down a second time.
Suddenly, Brenda attacked Danny Ray over the bottle of antacid pills as they both struggled over the bottle to get it open fast.
Brenda mumbled, “Give um to me, because I hate that darn bird, going to ring its neck”. Shane’s brothers all sat ready to catch flies in their wide open mouths at this point. The final question the attorney asked the girl was, “Are you keeping the defendants child?”
“Most definitely”.
Pills literally flew up in the air and not to mention all over.
The whole courtroom couldn’t help notice half a bottle of flying antacid pills and the bailiff looked angry right at the Wiley’s.
Embarrassed, four Wiley’s ducked low on the bench watching Brenda and Danny Ray squabbling over the bottle of antacid pills.
Dropped his head onto the table, Shane noticed a few pills under the table and reached down picking the three up ate them fast.
One hour later, a free man and all charges were dropped, although it wasn’t over for Shane and not off the hook over this horrible encounter as he was about to be a daddy again within a few months and the mother was a girl he did not even know. Furthermore, forced to have sexual contact with and got her pregnant. The Wiley family walked out of the courthouse and left this nightmare behind.
Noticing the young girl with her parents waiting at the bottom steps for Shane. Rolled his eyes mumbling, “Ruined for life”, his family all looked on.
Reaching the bottom step, the young girl stepped forward by Shane and said, “I am sorry about this unplanned pregnancy”, stuck his jittering hands into his jean pockets. His brothers eyes were large and Brenda asked, “May I know your name sweetie, lord your about to have my sons child and we do not know even your name?” Slight smile saying, “Stacey”, and Brenda smiled saying, “Well nice to meet you Stacey”. Kept his head down and could not really look her in the eye, she stared at Shane noticed her staring mumbling, “Aw heck”.
Stacey’s furious parents started running their mouth over this unfortunate incident. Upset, saying rude and even vulgar comments towards the Wiley’s when Brenda had to actually cover her ears from many forbidden words told bluntly.
Highly upset now, Danny Ray and Brenda’s sons, hearing the word rapist. Stacey’s parents were beside themselves and also refusing to go through with having a child due to rape and Brenda squeezed her ears.

ing Danny Ray and Stacey’s father now arguing bad.
Five Wiley’s stood silently listening and shouting grew when Stacey’s father got right in Danny Ray’s face, Brenda’s eyes become large saying, “Oh no, here we go”. Hand up, Danny Ray said, “Aw, buddy just back up now”, and he stepped back, Brenda let her deep breath out, and knew he was an original Wiley boy and Danny Ray was about six-foot- four and in great shape.
Stacey’s mother furious over such a drastic mistake this was and becoming panic stricken.
Slapping Brenda across her face, eyes huge mouths open wide, Danny Ray, mumbled, “Aw, here we go”.
Grabbing her face said, “I do apologize for what’s happen and such a hurt”. The hysterical mother shook her head of short blonde hair saying, “Ah huh, sure no worries to you were stuck with shame and a baby to raise”.
Took her hand off from her red face, said, “Please we will help with everything, we are not bad people”.
Laughing slapped Brenda a second time and angry now, shouted,
“THAT’S ABOUT ENOUGH LADY!”
At that point, Brenda’s shocked sons could have caught a swarm of flies in their wide open mouths.
Crying walking away but Stacey’s father walked right up by Shane and said, “I will see to it you pay, because my daughter won’t be ignored”, Shane nodded and her father walked away saying, “Come on Stacey”. Staring at Shane sighs many eyes big noticed “NOW!”
“STACEY!”
Went over close to Shane and said, “I am very sorry”, hung his head silently. Looking at the whole family, added, “Sorry to you all”.
Close to her, Brenda said, “Oh dear girl, it is not your fault and my son had a big part of this”.
Quickly, looked back at Shane mumbling, “The biggest part”.
Stacey wipes tears and Brenda added, “Shane will hold up to his responsibility”. Looked at him saying, “Right son”, nodded and Brenda close to her, said, “Anything you need Stacey, please come calling, the Wiley door is truly open for you and my grandchild”.
Tears rolling said, “Oh thank you Mrs. Wiley”.
“Call me Brenda dear”, both smiled and Stacey walked away, glancing back at Shane saw her.
Walking through the parking lot, Danny Ray and Brenda walked ahead of the boys Shawn asked, “Hey you okay?” Saul and Stanley looked on and Shane replied, “Aw I just feel real bad over what happen”.
