Holding the laundry basket Shane said, “Aw I doubt it”.
Ella then asked Shane how many more loads he had and told her just one more yawning, and slight smile, offered to help and he did not refuse, they went into his apartment where, Ella folded the filled basket and told him to rest a moment.
Sat down onto the blue velvet recliner, yawned and within a few minutes fell asleep and Ella just left him sleep. Finished all the laundry and before leaving saw dirty dishes in the sink, washed them all.
Went placing a blanket over Shane, snoring and smiles heading to the door mumbles, “Sleep tight good man” walked to the door quietly.
The next morning, stood by the kitchen sink, scratching his head and said “Aw Ella that was mighty nice of you”, smiled.
Meanwhile that morning, Ella did not even want to fight with Saul any longer and told him we are done,
“What’s that mean Ella”.
“I want a divorce”. Sniffles.
“What?” Puzzled expression, hand on hip.
“It’s over Saul”, running out of the room crying.
Exactly one month later, after thirteen years together, Saul and Ella, divorced, he took it hard.
Ella and the four children moved out of the apartment building, into a single-family house three streets away. Shawn, Stanley with Shane helped them move in, as the kids helped Ella fix it up very cute and it looked nice.
It was a three-bedroom home with a large living room, built in fire place and the kitchen was filled with a lot of cupboards, a long counter as there was even a dining room. Ella added many artificial flower arrangements and hanging plants, with even a big tree plant in the corner of the living room that was also artificial.
Bought a hunter green sofa with matching chair, the walls were pale green already so everything matched.
Meanwhile as moving day took place another Wiley was refusing moving day at his place. Samantha in screaming tears, “WHY!”
Stood waving his hand out saying, “Because Sammy he is a boy that you just so happen to like and you think I’m going to let him move in”. Shook his head of locks. “Daddy he is abused and homeless, his dad will kill him eventually”.
Throwing his hand up, Seth said, “Look Sammy you’re not hundred percent sure that his dad beats him” and wiping tears replied, “Lucas told me he does, I saw the bruises”. Seth and Samantha continued to argue as there was a knock at the door and Samantha answering the door screamed “DADDY!”
Rushing by the door, grabbed hold of Lucas that was a bloody mess and collapsed. In tears, Samantha said, “Now do you believe me dad”, carried the boy inside and he was badly beaten.
Lay him down onto the brown sofa, and Samantha stood crying, Seth told her go get a wet wash cloth and Lucas was gasping when Samantha hurried and running back in fast Seth said, “We have to get him to the hospital Samantha”, put her hands by her face saying, “Oh Lucas, why did you go back home!”
Later that night, Seth comes home with Samantha and Lucas was admitted, as he had broken ribs and a concussion.
Sitting down on the brown recliner, said, “Daddy we cannot let that boy go back home to his rotten father”.
Hand to his head replied, “Sammy a boy you like cannot live under this roof, never, no way”.
Eyes large asked, “Let him move in with one of your brothers or even Nana?” Looking at his upset daughter, replied, “No girl, I’m sorry his dad is hurting him, but let the courts handle this, it’s not my place Sammy”. Jumps up, points saying, “You are supposed to be the kindhearted Wiley, not to me, because your breaking my heart and that boy is getting broken bones”, rushing away crying and hears door slam.
A few days later, felt relieved, when she found out, big brother, Ryder saves the day and found he and his brother a new place to call home and safe.
The owner of the restaurant, an older man Joe, liked Ryder, pleased with his work, got to know him also.
Offering the one bedroom apartment above the restaurant to Ryder with his brother and immediately told him, “Yes, perfect”.
Patting Ryders shoulder, Joe such a nice fellow told Ryder free of charge, dark eyes huge Joe nodding when Ryder very happy hugged him and patting his back says, “It’s okay boy”.
Before walking out, looks at Joe and asked, “Hey, is there some kind of catch?” Smiles replied, “Just keep up the good work”, laughs out, “Deal”, and Joe added, “My glasses actually sparkle”, and Ryder laughing.
A few months pass, now a few weeks before Christmas.
Shane taking his children sled riding and run into Ella at the store where he was buying an extra pair of gloves.
Talking about the first big snowfall, happens rarely, wanted to enjoy it before melts, and asked Ella with her kids to come as she told him that sounds like fun. Chapter 9.
All bundled up warmly that Sunday afternoon, Ella, the kids went sled riding with Shane and his kids as they had a lot of fun.
Ella sat behind Shane on a sled because she was nervous to go down the big hill alone and held on tightly to him as they slid down the hill.
The children were having a great time then afterwards stood building a snowman with Shane and Ella helped.
Until he threw a snowball easily at her for fun and a few minutes later those two adults were rolling in the snow as the kids stood laughing.
At the apartment building, sat on the sofa, leans head back staring up at the ceiling when heard knocking at the door, Saul got up heading to the door, opens it saw Rodney, says “Forget about the poker game last night pal?”
Watery eyes, no reply and noticed said, “Hey man cheer up”.
Runs fingers through his hair replied, “I lost her Rodney, the only woman I ever loved”, broke down crying stood there pats his shoulder saying, “Hey pal get a grip, you lost her years ago”.
Wipes eyes mumbled, “My brothers”, tears rolling, Rodney stepping inside, shuts the door saying, “Crazy situation”, looking at Saul bending over the kitchen counter crying and added, “Don’t give up pal, if Ella is really the love of your life, win her back”. Sniffling, “Aw, I blew it”.
“Nah, there’s always hope, a second chance to”.
Hand over face, shedding tears, walked close to his best friend and said, “Time to change Saul, show Ella and you might get that second chance”.
A few days later, at the flower shop, Ella was ringing a customer up when Saul comes rushing in and angrily said, “I need to talk to you”.
Putting her one finger up, replied, “Sure let me finish here”, stood fuming inside Ella now finished with the customer and smiled saying, “Have a nice day” and Saul remarked, “Yeah, right”, walked out from behind the counter asking, “What is wrong with you”, and flashing a paper in her face said, “This!”
People in the store were looking at them and she said, “Let’s go in the back and talk privately”, told Rhonda, “I need a second”, waves hand says “Go”.
Entering the back storage room, Saul instantly went off on her yelling, “Lying cheating whore”.
“Hold up Saul you’re the biggest male whore”.
Right in her face, said, “Nah, you got me beat lady”.
“What’s going on Saul?” Hand by his heart says, “You ripped my heart completely out now”.
“What did I do?”
Flashed the paper again, she asked, “Can you hold your hand still so I can read it”. Pushed it into her chest and she said, “Owe Saul”, throwing his hands up said, “Aw Ella if there was a time I ever wanted to ring that neck of yours it’s now”.
Looking over the paper, said, “It’s a doctor’s report” and yelled, “READ THE BOTTOM!”
Eyes got large saying, “Oh my”.
“Yeah, I am sterile Ella”. Deep gulp.
Looking at the paper replied, “Yes, I can see that Saul”.
Pacing around her asked, “Who Ella, who is the daddy to the kids I thought were mine?” Hanging her head, said, “I don’t know”
.
“WHAT?”
“Saul I am sorry in a way, however you always done me wrong and honestly my heart belongs to your brothers”.
Eyes huge said, “My brothers?” Squatted down hanging head.
One hour later, at Brenda’s home.
Upset, Saul pushed Ella into the living room with Seth standing up quick saying, “Take your hands off her Saul!”
Noticing, eyebrows high, Brenda said, “Don’t you dare push her around Saul”. Smirked saying, “Aw maw better sit down for this one, but first I need my kids in here”. Upset, Ella said, “Saul don’t”.
Walking in eating a peach, grins at Ella saw tears asked, “What’s going on?”
Quietly, Ella replied “He knows our secret”.
Chuckling, Sebastian said, “Good!”
Saul went down to the family room and comes back up with Ashley, Cody, Dylan, and Brandon sat down onto the couch, when Sebastian looked at Saul snarling. Raising her eyebrows high, Brenda asked, “Okay Saul were all here what is this about”. Showed his mother the doctor report, and covering her face Ella had tears roll, moves close, Sebastian said, “Don’t cry Ella”.
Saw red, Saul charged Sebastian tackling him down to the floor and really went at it extremely rough. Walls rumble with pictures falling onto the floor from slamming into the wall then down onto the coffee table, breaks.
Kids screamed loudly with Brenda shouting, “STOP!”
“SOMEONE HELP!”
However, Seth would not break it up and smirked hoping scary Sebastian pounds Saul, when Brenda glanced down at the paper while her boys rolled fighting to kill and tearing up the living room, and gasped out, “Sterile!”
Ella stood sobbing and Brenda looked at her saying, “Oh my Lord, you been cheating on my boy Ella?”
Put her hand over her face, Brenda added, “You mean these grandkids are not mine!” Rushing into the torn up living room, Shawn, Shane and Stanley that tried to break up the fight and Danny Ray shouted, “ENOUGH”
“LOOK AT MY HOUSE!” Punches swung repeatedly not paying attention and fought. After separating the two furious Wiley’s from almost killing each other. Waving the doctor report, one eyebrow real high, Brenda said, “Ella seems you have some explaining to do”.
Wiping blood from his busted lip, Sebastian said, “Ella just finally tell everyone”. Quickly, turned looking at her son saying, “Tell us what?”
“I love Ella and have for many years”. The kid’s mouths dropped and they could have caught a swarm of flies at that shocking moment.
Eyes almost popped out, Brenda slapped Sebastian across the face hard and Seth sat hanging his head when Saul pointed at him saying, “Aw hey maw go hit Seth to”, she yelled, “SETH!”
“WHAT?”
“Guilty maw, I have always loved Ella with all my heart, since I was just a boy”. Almost crumbling to the floor, Brenda putting her hand to her chest said, “Oh good lord, Ella and all three of my sons?”
The kids were in complete shock and mumbling, “Messing with brothers and my children”.
Went up to Ella and said, “How dare you”, silent hanging her head.
Sebastian and Seth both told their mother not to blame her and upset looking at Ella, said, “Oh yes I will, she could have said no, keeping those legs crossed”, Ella cried heavier.
“Stop maw I mean it were not kids”.
Pointing at him, Brenda angrily said, “You call this love triangle mature Seth, this is disgusting and low, a bad example you’re showing the kids that it’s okay to have more the merrier in bed”.
“Brothers!”
Standing next to his mother, Sebastian said, “Aw maw you don’t know the whole story okay, Ella was my dream girl” and Brenda started fanning herself with the paper saying, “What?”
Therefore, Sebastian before the whole family looking at him told them about the girl from the park.
Shane even spoke up telling his mother it was true, that Ella was his girl first, Brenda sat on the arm of the sofa in deep shock over this hidden secret that lasted all these years and asked, “How does Seth come into the picture?”
Now said, “Since I was just ten, fell completely for my best friend”, and eyes huge Samantha said, “Daddy!”
Looking at her, said, “Sorry Sammy, I am being honest and my daughter needs to know that I always loved Ella and always will”.
Got up from the sofa arm, walks close to Ella shaking and looking at her, Brenda snarls out, “Don’t you know how to say no, kept hopping back and forth in each of my sons bed”, slapped her across the face, many gasps and adding, “Pig”, hurried out of the room crying and Ella held her face rushing away crying and the Wiley men involved hung their heads as kids sat shocked.
Seventy-two hours later in the hospital waiting room, stood Sebastian, Seth with Ella awaiting the paternity results and Saul was there to, he wanted to know which brother fathered the children he has loved and thought were his own.
The doctor comes out and nervous. The doctor held an envelope and opening it said, “When it comes to Ashley Destiny Wiley, Sebastian Scott Wiley is the father” as he let his deep breath out.
“Cody James Wiley”, “Seth Allen Wiley” is the father, as he looked relieved. The twins were next when Seth and Sebastian very nervous at this point and Ella looked at them both.
The doctor said, “When it comes to twin Wiley boys, Brandon Curtis and Dylan Ryan, Wiley?”
“Sebastian Scott Wiley is the biological father”.
Tears filled one eye and Seth walked away with Saul and later that day, the children found out who their daddy was, Ashley running away crying her brothers silent, stood shocked.
Went after his upset daughter walking towards the back field saw Ashley siting on the fence.
Walking up to her noticed him says, “Don’t, I have a headache”.
“Oh you get um often?”
“Yes, I sure do”, slight smile, “Aw, I always did, bad to”.
“Mines due to something else”, and one eye large said, “Oh, okay”.
Looks at Sebastian, leaning elbows onto the fence next to her and asked, “You always loved my ma?” Staring straight ahead replied, “Yes very much”.
Nodding her head asked, “Was I a mistake?”
Rose up, turns looking at his daughter replied, “You are the best thing that ever happened”. Tears rolled says, “You are my best uncle and always will be”, tears rolled down from one eye and adding, “I know you’re my dad, guess I got my wish”. “What wish Ashley?”
Flashed back onto a memory, telling Sebastian, now remembers thinking back, Four-year-old Ashley shaking her head fast, said, “My daddy not like you, oh no, he the biting wolf”, and Sebastian chuckles.
Now hung her little head and he asked, “Aw hey Ashley girl, what’s wrong?” I love the picture, I’ll cherish always”.
“Why Uncle Sebastian did I not get you, the nicest for my daddy?”
Sebastian got all choked up saying, “Woe, amazing, guess kids do say the strangest things”.
Swinging long golden locks even faster she said, “You are best ever be!” He just could not help it, as he wiped tears that rolled and she now said, “No, do not be sad face”.
Looking at her in tears he said, “I’m far from little girl, you make me my happiest”. She smiled very big and reached over hugging him saying, “I love you my best uncle.” Sebastian held her tightly saying, “I love you to little princess, forever!” Both stopped thinking back, wiped tears Ashley said, “My wish come true, you are my daddy”.
“Aw mine did to”, and blue eyes big asked, “What wish”.
“Being blessed with the sweetest daughter in the world”, both broke down crying and hugging, held his daughter tightly.
Whispers in her ear, “I still got that picture you colored”, pulling back asked, “You do?” “Yep”, reached in back blue jean pocket added, “I have this to”, pulls out a picture and looks at the picture on the merry-go-round, toge
ther from their fun filled day at the carnival says, “Oh wow, I remember that day”.
“I’ll never forget Ashley”. Looks at him said, “I love you”.
“I love you to princess, forever”.
One week past, Saturday afternoon, sitting on the lawn chair knitting watching her granddaughters doing their hula-hoops, and glanced over at her youngest granddaughters playing in the sandbox. Smiling said, “You girls are good at that”. Ashley stopped held the hula-ring said, “Come on Nana”.
“Yeah you try”, added Samantha spinning the hula-hoop around her waist. Carla says, “Yeah, it’s fun Nana”.
Stood up, set her knitting down, walked over to the girls said, “I’ll give it a whirl”, giggling Ashley said, “You mean twirl”, laughing Brenda put the hula-hoop around her waist and spinning it girls smiling watching their grandmother.
Having fun laughing and really spinning the hula-hoop around her waist and girls giggling. Walking out on the back porch, lights up a cigar, Danny Ray saw Brenda and grins.
Rushing out the back door, nearly knocking his uncle down, jumping over the steps running across the yard saying, “Aw, I love hula-hoops”, and eyes large looking at Shane run over, looked at Carla, asked, “Can I try darling”, gave it to him replies “Sure uncle”. Few seconds later, spun the hula-hoop around his waist, girls giggling, as he was actually good.
On the porch, Danny Ray watched shaking his head and sitting on the bannister Shane’s brothers laughing. Pointing laughs out, “Hey Shane is competing with maw”. “Seems like maw is competing with him Seth”.
“Think your right Shawn”, and snarling out, “What a fool”, watching the competition.
Walking close by the porch, eyes huge and holding the basketball, Josh asked, “What’s dad doing?” Brother Nicky looks laughing and Jared, Jessie, Jade, and Aaron smirking. Laughing out, “Setting a world record”.
“Right, Uncle Saul”. Watching his father and grandmother swinging the hula-hoops fast around their waist. Had an audience the grandsons sat on the steps laughing with the other’s and Ella walks out holding Logan, noticed cracked up laughing.
Running up by the porch the youngest granddaughters done playing in the sandbox, now watching, Hope sitting on her daddy’s shoulders giggles, “Nana have fun daddy”, and Sebastian tilts head back, saying, “Aw, think your uncle is having the most fun princess”. Sitting between her brothers, Sabrina giggling, “Me daddy silly”.
