Play Dirty (The Devil's Share #2) Page 11

I rolled to the side, bringing her with me so that we were both lying on our sides, facing each other. Going down on her in this small bunk wasn’t really an option—not enough room to really do a good job. And I’d be damned if I half-assed that. I pulled the drawstring of her pants, loosening them enough for me to slip my hand inside. She wasn’t wearing any panties again, and she was already wetter than hell.

I growled when she arched into my hand, seeking relief. “Tell me who it’s for, baby.”

She leaned up and clenched my earlobe in her teeth before whispering, “You.”

I pushed her onto her back, and she let her legs fall open. “That’s it, Cher. Let me in.” I slipped one finger in and then after a few strokes I added another, stretching her. “You’re so damn tight, baby. I can’t wait to get my dick inside you.” I let the heel of my hand rub on her clit and it wasn’t long before she was thrusting her hips, matching my strokes. “Good girl, take what you need. Ride my fucking fingers.”

She bit her lip, “Fuck, Smith. Don’t stop.”

I grabbed her hand with my free one and put it on my hard cock. “Stroke me.” She unbuttoned my pants and slid her hand in my boxer briefs, gripping my dick in a tight fist. Pumping me up and down, using the pre cum at my tip to help her hand glide. My eyes rolled back in my head. It’d been over three days since I’d gotten off. Which was the longest I’d gone in years. Everything was so sensitive; I felt like I was going to explode. We were both breathing heavy, both searching for a release. I propped myself up more, changing the angle of my hand, reaching deeper.

“Oh god, right there. Where did you learn how to do that?”

I chuckled against her neck, nuzzling her ear and thrusting my cock in her hand. “Don’t ask questions you don’t want to know the answers to, Cher.”

She was panting, “You’re right. Never mind. Just don’t stop.”

I quickened my pace, harder and faster. She did the same. I bit her shoulder and she bit her lip. We flew over the edge at the same time, groaning out our releases.

  Chapter Twenty

  Dylan

“Oh, for fuck’s sake.” Smith slammed his iPad closed and scrubbed his hand down his face.

“What’s wrong?” It was still early in the morning. I’d woken up with Smith’s arms around me, him sleeping peacefully. We’d gotten out of bed and come to the living room. I was reading the paper, a cup of tea beside me. He was sipping his strong coffee and playing on his iPad. It all felt very domestic, homey even. At least until his little outburst.

He shook his head and called out, “Lex, look on TMZ.”

Still in her pajamas, Lex entered and plopped into the recliner. “What is with you and those stupid tabloid websites? It really is an odd ob—”

“Just fucking look at it, Lexi.”

“Okay, okay.” Her hands started typing out the web address on her computer.

I’d never seen him lose his temper. I put my hand on his arm. “What is going on?”

Lexi closed her eyes and then closed her laptop. “Fucking fantastic.”

I grabbed Smith’s iPad and pulled the screen back up. Staring back at me was a picture of Lexi and Smith, his arms tight around her. The headline read: DID SMITH ALMOST GET HIS OWN BABY KILLED? I took a deep breath and turned to Smith. “How bad is this?”

Lexi answered me. “It’s not that bad.”

“Lex.” Smith cocked his head to the side, disagreeing with her.

“What? It’s not. That’s the picture of us when I went to get you from the sorority house. Dash will clearly see that. It’s not like he’s going to be mad at you. It’s no big deal.”

Sorority house? I really wanted to ask, but figured now wasn’t the time.

“Did you read the article?!” Smith was worked up.

  “No, I—”

  “Read it, Lex.”

Lexi opened her computer back up and I clicked on the article link on Smith’s iPad. Both of us read, the room silent.

“Is Smith at it again? Seems that way folks. Sources close to the band confirm that Alexis Grant is actually carrying Smith James’s baby. This wouldn’t be the first time that Smith has been linked to a pregnancy—let alone linked to a family tragedy.”

My heart dropped to my stomach. Did Smith have a kid? What family tragedy? I clicked off the screen. I couldn’t read anymore.

Smith knelt in front of me. “It’s not true, Cher.” He shook his head. “A chick from my high school…after we got famous…it was all a lie. I hadn’t been with her in years. But my dad sold the story to the press.” He stood and resumed his pacing, “Which means ‘the source’ they are talking to? Is him. That story is ten years old. That bastard is trying to punish me for not helping Jared.” I didn’t fail to notice that he skipped over trying to explain away the “tragedy.”

Lexi closed her computer and sat it to the side. “Look, we know it’s not true. We know your dad is a world-class asshole. Who cares what the public thinks? And Dash isn’t going to care about something as stupid as this, you know that.”

“I’m not worried about Dash, Lexi. I’m worried about the reporters, the circus. This is going to make the paparazzi that much worse. Especially since the trial is about to hit the press. It’s a scandal, albeit a completely made up scandal, but it’s going to cause a stir. Which is exactly what my father was going for. Highlighting my questionable character, right?” Smith stood and started pacing again. “You two are going to just need to stay on the bus. It’s going to be a madhouse until this blows over. Hell, until the fucking trial blows over.”

Lexi got to her feet. “We have a shit ton of security, thanks to you and Dash and your over-protective asses. I am not going to spend the next three weeks cooped up on this stupid bus. And neither is Dylan.”

She looked over to me. I could tell she was waiting for my input. But really, I had no idea what to say. I didn’t even know where I fell in this put together family. I mean, obviously something was going on between Smith and I, but where did my opinion fall? As an employee? As Lexi’s friend? As Smith’s…Smith’s whatever I was? “I’m with Lexi. I’ll go crazy if I have to stay sequestered on this tour bus.” Smith collapsed on the couch, his head leaned back and his hands in his hair. “There is tons of security. And I’ll be with Lexi the whole time, nothing will happen to her or the baby.”

He looked up at me, a funny little smile on his face. “It’s not just Lexi I’m worried about, Cher.”

His words caused my heart to skip a beat. Typical girl, getting turned on by a hot guy going all protective-mode. Would this make him go dark? He had such a good day yesterday and last night was freaking perfect.

Dash came in from the back room, yawning and scratching his stomach. “Good morning, family.” His eyes narrowed when no one answered him. “What’s up?” I handed him Smith’s iPad. He skimmed the article and then let out a deep breath. “As if the paparazzi needed any more reason to stalk us.”

Smith put his hands on his hips. “That’s what I said. The trial is going to start in a few weeks and my dickhead of a father is selling lies for cash. We aren’t going to be able to take a piss without someone trying to video it.” He motioned in the direction of Lexi and me. “I told the girls it would be safer if they stayed on the bus instead of coming to our shows.”

Lexi stood, pointing at Smith. “And I told him, it’s not going to happen. We have plenty of security and we’ll go crazy stuck on this stupid bus.”

Smith sat down next to me, his head in his hands. “I’m sorry.”

Dash shot him a what-the-fuck look. “Why are you sorry? People post stupid shit all the time and your dad is worthless. Everyone that matters knows it’s not true.”

“I fucked up that night and Lex had to save me. It just puts the girls in danger. Those reporters are pushy as fuck. We don’t need mobs of people chasing us with cameras and microphones.” He fisted his hands in his hair.

Lexi knelt in front of Smith, taking his face i
n her hands and lifting it so that he was looking at her, instead of the floor. “We take things one day at a time. We have security for a reason. By the time the trial starts, the tour will be over and we promise we’ll stay at home until it’s finished. As far as me saving you? I’d do it over and over again. You’re worth saving, Smith.”

I teared up, no lie. I couldn’t help it. Lexi said exactly what he needed to hear. And she was right: Smith was worth saving. I put my hand on his back, not sure what else to do to comfort him. He looked at me, eyes sad, and I let out a sigh. He’d gone dark.

He stood. “I’m going to go shower before the bus pulls out.”

My eyes darted to Lexi. She looked ready to cry. She knew as well as I did what he really wanted to do, what was more than likely waiting for him in the bathroom. The question was, would he? I think we all held our breath, waiting to see what would happen next.

He held his hand out. “Come with me, Cher?”

I nodded, putting my hand in his. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Lexi relax and Dash try to hide a smile. He chose me. I might still be a distraction, but at least I wasn’t going to kill him. I let him pull me to my feet and when we walked past Dash he reached out and popped Smith on the back of the head. “Stop trolling the Internet for those ridiculous tabloid sites.”

“I wasn’t trolling. I have an alert that pops up anytime one of our names is mentioned in a story.”

Dash snorted. “Unnecessary, bro. We all know the truth, and that’s the only thing that will ever matter.”

  ***

I let Smith lead me into the bathroom, shutting and locking the door behind us. I leaned against the sink, watching him strip.

He cocked an eyebrow, but didn’t smile. “You enjoying the show?”

I nodded. This was the first time I’d seen him naked. I’d felt his cock last night when we were playing in bed. But, seeing it like this? Holy hell this man was hung. Which, I mean, why wouldn’t he be? Gorgeous sexy rock star and big dick went hand and hand, right?

He stalked the two steps towards me, reaching for the hem of my shirt, fire in his eyes. I was right; I was his distraction. I was his escape. I let him take off all my clothes. When we were both naked he started the shower and we got in. I pushed him against the wall, and then lowered myself to my knees. He chose me; he deserved a reward, as fucked up as that logic was.

He looked so damn sexy with the water trailing down his muscular abs, over the deep v in his hips. He didn’t say anything; he just ran his fingers through my hair and brought my mouth to his dick. Not asking if this was what I had in mind, assuming there would be no other reason for me to be on my knees in front of him. I put my mouth around him and he thrust slowly. He was too large for me to take all the way in my mouth. I used one hand to stroke the length I couldn’t take and I cupped his balls with my other hand, kneading them gently. He used his hold on my hair to set the pace he wanted. Slow and smooth. I swirled my tongue around his tip, down his length.

  “Deeper, Cher.”

I sat back and looked up at him. “I don’t know if—”

He put his hand under my chin, bringing my mouth back to him. “Open for me.”

He was always bossy when it came to anything sexual. I went back and forth between wanting to tell him to fuck off and wanting to do what he asked. I hated what his demanding words did to me. I’d never had anyone talk to me the way he did. But in the end, I did what he wanted.

“Good girl.” He fisted both his hands in my hair again. “Now relax your jaw; you’re too tense.”

I had a giant cock in my mouth; of course I was fucking tense. I bit him a little. He winced and I smiled.

There was humor in his voice when he said, “I may have deserved that.” He took one hand out of my hair and trailed it down my cheek and then held my jaw, massaging the joints. “Just take a deep breath and relax.”

I closed my eyes and again, against my better judgment, did what he suggested. He pushed into my mouth a little further inch by inch. Every time I started to gag, he tightened his hold in my hair, taking my mind off of it.

“That’s it, baby. Just like that.” I heard his head fall back and hit the shower wall. “Your mouth feels so fucking good.” I kept going, inching my hands around his hips and digging my nails into his ass. “Don’t fucking stop.”

He picked up his pace, one hand in my hair, his head back and his eyes closed. His words, like always, were turning me on. I loved that I was making him feel this good. I could feel his dick start to swell and his balls start to tighten. “I’m close.”

After a few more thrusts he pulled me back and came all over my chest.

  Chapter Twenty-One

  Smith

I ran my fingers through Dylan’s hair, letting the dark strands fall to the pillow. After our shower, we crawled back in bed with my iPad to watch some more Walking Dead. I couldn’t tell if she was addicted to the show or Norman Reedus. She always got a little giddy when he came on the screen. Not that I could blame her, he was a badass. Dylan was everything I needed her to be today. She’d seen the darkness in my eyes and she’d gotten down on her knees and erased it. After I saw that article I felt myself start to slip, start to panic inside looking for a way to numb the fear. Numb the self-loathing. Mentally, I wanted my pills. I’d counted them the last time I was alone in the bathroom. I had ten. I take two at a time, so that was five doses left. I didn’t know if knowing they were there was helping or hindering me. I felt the tension in the room. I felt everyone holding their breath, waiting for my reaction. So, I chose Dylan. I held my hand out, hoping she would take it. And she had.

I repeated the motion with my fingers in her hair as the episode we were watching ended. I held up my other hand, reading my watch. “Want another one? We have three hours and twenty-six minutes until we are at the hotel.”

She snorted. “Not that you’re counting down the hours or anything.”

I kissed her hair. “I’m counting down the seconds until I can bury my dick inside you.”

“Oh, how you make me swoon.”

I tugged on the hair in my hands. “I told you, I don’t do romantic.”

“Yes, you do.” She looked up at me, resting her chin on my chest. “Don’t get me wrong, when we’re doing anything naked, you’re nothing but bossy, demanding, and dirty. But when we’re just sitting here, quietly together? You’re sweet. You hold my hand and kiss my head. You’ve spent the past hour running your fingers through my hair. You hold me when you need to feel grounded. You hired extra security to make sure I was safe too. You wanted to sit alone with me the other morning at the diner. You were sad that I woke up alone. You are romantic. You may not see it, but I do.”

I didn’t know what to say. Until she listed it for me, I didn’t realize how many things I did for her, with her in mind. Touching her, wanting to be next to her…it was all just so organic. I did it without thought. The moment seemed too heavy all of a sudden. I put my lips to her hair. “You like it dirty.”

She propped herself up on her elbow, looking down at me. “You’re deflecting.”

I grinned. “I’m trying to. You going to let me?”

  “Start another episode.”

My smile got bigger. “Tell me you like to play dirty.”

  Her eyes narrowed. “No.”

I started to tickle her ribs. “Tell me, Cher. Tell me you like it dirty.”

She was squirming under me, giggling like crazy. “Fine! Fine. I like it dirty.”

All of a sudden Jacks’s head poked into our bunk. “Dylan likes it dirty?”

I winked. “Fuck yeah she does.”

Dylan put her hands over her face. “Perfect.”

I shoved Jacks’s head out of our bunk as Rick Grimes filled the screen. We watched for a little while until Dylan suddenly reached out and pressed pause. “Can I ask you something?”

  “Sure.”

“What happened at the sorority house?”

  Damn. I really didn’t
want to talk about that. It wasn’t one of my finest moments and I was feeling good right now. But I owed her this. “Jared called one night in really bad shape. I got down about it. Before the shooting I always felt guilty that I was still okay and in the band and he wasn’t. I used to feel like I abandoned him. Anyway, after I talked to him I kind of went off the rails. I went to some party, got wasted beyond belief and then left with a bunch of blonde chicks. I ended up at a sorority house. No one knew where I was and I was too fucked up to care. They tracked me down and Lexi came in and got me. I could barely walk; that’s where that picture came from.”

I left out that I had told the girls the only way I would stay with them was if they found me some Benadryl and Adderall. Of course there was enough Adderall in that house to dose a football team. I know it sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen, but let me tell you, the sex is good. Plus, neither were illegal substances, so I couldn’t get in trouble if someone found out.

“You slept with all of them?”

Really? I didn’t want to tell the girl I was currently trying to “sleep with” what I’d done. That seemed extremely counterproductive. “No.” Not a lie. I didn’t fuck all of them…just most of them. I mentally kicked myself in the balls. I didn’t deserve this girl and she didn’t deserve my lies.

“And the girl from high school?”

More fucked up James family tales. “We fucked around when I still lived at home. After I moved to Texas, I never went back. But Jared did. I’m pretty sure the baby was his. But it didn’t matter, my dad sold a story to the press claiming it was mine. I brought in more money than Jared did I guess.”

  “The family tragedy?”

I shook my head. I could barely speak past the new lump in my throat. “Uh, who knows? My whole family is a walking tragedy.”

She let my obviously evasive answer go, for now. “It doesn’t matter, you know. Everyone has a past, Smith.” She pressed play on the iPad. “The present and the truth are all that matter to me.”
