One Year later, Q was lying on the bed watching TV with Kayhla and Khadir sleeping quietly on his chest. After thirty long minutes, he had finally gotten both of them to fall asleep. Q would hum a light tone until they dozed into dream land. Van was downstairs preparing bottles, when she yelled up to him.
“Baby turn on Channel 9 local news.”
Q wanted to yell back to her to pipe down before she woke the children up, but instead did has he was told. He moved just enough to grab the remote with his left hand and just has cautiously; he pressed 09 on the key pad. Instantly, the photos of Stokely and Vie appeared on the screen. Q hit the volume button to hear the anchor’s report.

We will continue to follow this story and keep you updated. In other news…
Q hit the off button on the remote, just as Van walked in the room. She came over and lay in his arms. He balanced all three of them nicely against his body. He closed his eyes and thanked God for all his blessings and for most of all, making him a “Country Boy.”
