Xacier's Prize (Galactic Courtship Series Book 1) Page 8

by Lily Thomas

Within minutes, the fight was down to only two warriors, and Samantha’s fears finally came to life. Xacier and Halie were the last two warriors standing.

Samantha stumbled forward. “Let her live. There has to be a way to save her.”

Xacier never took his eyes off Halie. “The speaker will only ever want one winner.”

“What if you both refuse to kill each other?”

He finally turned his black eyes on her. “Then all three of us will be shot down where we stand. If you don’t believe me, take a look around. There are guards with their guns trained on us, even now.”

A gasp escaped her lips. Seriously? They wanted blood that badly, that there could never be a draw?

“She’s been nothing but nice to me, since I got here.”

“And for that I will make sure her death is a quick one.”

She knew she should feel comfort in that, but it wasn’t much of a comfort.

Xacier shrugged. “Perhaps she will kill me first.”

“Like that’s any better?” She punched him on the arm. “I don’t want either of you to die.”

Halie approached, and Xacier motioned for Samantha to stand away. She bit her lip so hard, she was able to taste blood on her tongue. Her only allies were about to go at it.

Xacier lifted up his word. He was quick. Samantha had a hard time even keeping her eyes on him, as he circled Halie. Halie was tired, even Samantha could see that, but Halie gave a valiant effort to keep herself moving.

With a roar, Xacier went in, plunged his sword into her stomach, and then stepped back as she crumpled. She hadn’t been able to react fast enough.

Samantha’s feet pulled her forward, and she caught Halie, before she hit the ground.

“I’m so sorry.” Samantha felt hot tears tracking down her cheeks.

Halie smiled at her, as the light disappeared from her eyes. Samantha let her body slip onto the ground and looked up to see the crowd roaring with delight, as a small spaceship was flown into the stadium and landed in the arena. This must be Xacier’s freedom.

“Congratulations, warrior! You have fought well, and we wish you would stay with us longer.”

Samantha snorted. Like anyone would want to remain here.

Xacier gave a bow in the speaker’s direction, headed towards her, grabbed her, and pulled her towards the ship.

  “Time to go.”

“Wait!” Samantha pulled against his grip.

“What?” Xacier turned to face her.

“We have to bring her body with us. She deserves to be buried away from here and with respect from someone who cares.”

“Samantha, they won’t let us take her body.”

“How do you know, until you try?” Samantha took another glance at Halie’s body lying on the ground.

“We can’t take the risk. We need to get on the ship and get out of here, before the Frirens change their minds.”

  “But…”

Xacier yanked her to him, and then threw her over his shoulder.

“Xacier! Let me go! We have to bring her with us!” Samantha hammered his back with her fists. She was getting tired of being thrown over peoples’ shoulders.

They stepped into the space ship, and her struggling stopped, as she marveled at all the panels around her. Her translator was a verbal one, so she was unable to read anything in the cockpit, but Xacier appeared to have no trouble.

The hatch closed, and the sound of the crowd was cut off. It felt good to not hear those screaming voices, to be cut off from the hell she’d endured. She wished there was more that could be done about the Friren’s game arena, and that they could take Halie with them.

Xacier plopped her back onto her feet, as the doors to the ship closed. Clearly, he didn’t trust her not to bolt out of the ship to grab Halie.

  “Take a seat.”

She plopped down and watched, as he pushed on different panels. The engines of the space ship fired up, and then they rose over the arena.

“This thing doesn’t have weapons does it?”

Xacier laughed. “If it did, I wouldn’t use them. I need to make it out of here alive. Besides this isn’t the only arena in Friren space. Blowing this arena up and getting ourselves killed wouldn’t put an end to the fighting.”

Samantha frowned. He was right. Blasting the arena would just result in their little space ship being blown into smithereens, since there’d be Friren ships on them in seconds. She just wished she could do something more about Halie’s death.

She sucked in a breath and let it out slowly. She’d have to let go of Halie’s death, at some point. There was nothing more she could do about it. And she couldn’t blame Xacier for killing her. One of them had to die. It was a no win situation, and Samantha wondered if the Frirens watched the warriors while they were in the barracks.

  Chapter 5

It wasn’t the grandest ship ever, but it was his ship, and it was going to get him back to his people. It’d been a few hours, since they left the arena, and he was relieved to see Samantha didn’t blame him for Halie’s death. She wasn’t pleased they’d left her body, but she was glad to be out of the arena for good.

“Soooo… you never told me how exactly the Friren’s got their hands on you.”

Xacier rubbed a hand over the back of his neck. The Frirens caught him because he was foolish, and he didn’t want Samantha to know, yet he wanted to be open with her.

“The Frirens were hired by my cousin to capture me, although I suspect my cousin meant for them to kill me. But having a Kell in their arena was probably too good to pass up.”

A gasp escaped her. “Your family did this to you?”

“He’s a power hungry man, and I took a ship without weapons for a joy ride around the Kell system. Now he runs… the family business.” Xacier didn’t want to tell her he was the king of his people. It wasn’t like he was hiding it, but he knew it would put distance between them. He didn’t need her to be in awe of him.

It was a stupid mistake to run off without weapons or guards, but one he was determined to fix. His cousin was going to be surprised, when Xacier showed up. But he was king now, which meant Xacier would have to take his kingship by force.

“Will you take me to the nearest human colony or space station? I’m sure I can get back to where I was heading, once I get to a busy port. Then you can go take care of your cousin.”

“Any human colony or space station would be in the opposite direction.” Which wasn’t terribly true, but it would tack on a little extra time, and he didn’t need any time added onto his trip.

“Well, where are you headed?” She huffed at him.

She was losing her patience with him? He almost wanted to laugh at that.

  “Back to the Kell empire.”

“Why?” She leaned towards him, and he got a whiff of her scent. She smelled like fruit and softness, and he enjoyed every bit of it.

  “No reason.” He bit out.

“I know of a space station you can drop me off at. And it won’t tack on any more time to your journey.” She smiled over at him. “Just leave me there. I won’t need you to stay and watch after me. You won’t have me tagging along either! It will be great for both of us.”

She was right. Her tagging along wasn’t safe. After getting his kingship back, he would have any pick of the females, and they wouldn’t be a weak human either. He’d need strong heirs.

“Fine.” He pulled up a map of the nearby star systems and had her point out the station.

She’d been right. The space station was on their way to the Kell empire. It must’ve been built while he’d been a captive of the Friren’s. Hopefully, not too much else had changed, since it’d only been a few months.

While Xacier manned the space ship, Samantha took the time to go explore. There was nothing special, the cockpit, and one room with a sonic shower and restroom.

The shower appealed to her. She still had blood on her from holding Halie. That was going to haunt her for
many nights to come.

Shivering she threw off her pink dress and flipped off her slippers. When she got to the shower she surveyed it. Now where was the on switch?

There were a couple lit buttons next to the shower, so she pushed the top most button to see what would happen. The shower lit up with a dim purple light. She scrubbed, as the blood disappeared from her skin. It was a relief to be free of the arena and now that the blood was gone she felt herself relaxing.

A smile spread over her lips. She was being taken to a space station and from there she would find transportation to Drein. Her mother was going to find this story either appalling or amazing.

Samantha let out a small snort. Her mother might not even let her off Drein, when she was done telling her story. She’d be afraid her only child would be in danger out in space.

“Feeling better?” Xacier’s voice jolted her from her thoughts.

  “Yes.”

He gave a cough. “If you need someone to… talk to.”

Samantha laughed and raised an eyebrow. “Somehow I don’t think you’d know how to comfort a woman.”

“You know me so well do you?” He snarled at her.

Her eyebrows raised, as she looked over at him. Had she insulted him? “I’m sorry. I would just think a warrior like yourself would be more comfortable with a sword than consoling a woman.”

He eyed her, but he gave her a nod. “You might be right. But I’d still offer to help you overcome any feelings you might be having. You weren’t raised to be a killer.”

And he was raised to be a killer? That definitely sent a spike of alarm through her. She didn’t know this alien. She’d given him a blowjob and had sex with him, but that didn’t mean she knew anything about him. To be honest, she may have jumped into bed with him a little too quickly.

He was a horned, red-tinged, enormous alien man. She didn’t even know much about his species. They kept to themselves for the most part.

Yet, he hadn’t done anything to hurt her. And he was still helping her, since he was taking her to a space station.

Glancing over at him she caught him stripping off his boots and pants in just a few fluid motions. The area between her legs grew moist, as she thought about the other night.

Here she thought she would fall for a nice young human man, but right now all she could think about was this horned Kell warrior. Was there something wrong with her? Did she really care? If the bed play was fun, was there anything wrong with it?

He turned towards her, and she got an eyeful. Those abs of his were drool worthy. Her eyes went lower still, and she found his cock standing proudly from between his legs. Then her eyes went back up his stomach, pecs, and back up to his face, where his eyes had gone from striking blue to space black.

Oh boy. Here they were in a shower again, and they were naked. She knew what he was thinking about, because she was thinking about the other night as well. It’d been a good night.

Before thinking of what she was doing, she leaned back against one of the glowing walls and spread her thighs.

He leapt on her with a growl. His hand made its way into her blonde hair, grabbed a handful, and yanked her head to the side. His mouth landed on her throat, and his mouth kissed her from her ear to the base of her neck.

She felt her legs turn to mush, as his lips made their way down her chest, across a breast, and then to her nipple. He sucked her tit deep into his mouth, scraping his teeth against it.

“Oh yes.” She panted, as he continued to play with her.

He released her hair and went down on his knees before her. He put a hand on each thigh and opened her legs to his gaze. She glanced down at the top of his head. Her hands reached out and took him by the horns. Slowly, she rubbed her hands over his horns, and he let out a gasp of pleasure.

  “Slower.”

“They bring you pleasure?” It thrilled her she could bring him pleasure, while he was between her thighs.

Her hands slowed, and she caressed his horns with a light touch. His head went back to the triangle of her thighs. All of a sudden, he grabbed her thighs and place them on his shoulders. A gasp escaped her lips. Now her only support was the wall against her back, her thighs on his shoulders, and her grip on his black horns.

Xacier’s tongue flicked out and licked her clit. She bit her bottom lip, as he sucked the nub into his mouth and lightly scraped his teeth against it.

“Oh my god, yes!” She screamed. Her inner muscles clamped down, and then as she drew closer to coming a couple of his fingers pumped into her wetness.

He growled against her clit, as he sucked some more, and it sent her off with the vibrations. Her inner muscles clenched down on his ever-moving fingers.

She moaned and arched her back into his face, making him growl more and sending more tremors through her body, until she finally collapsed, but was still held up by his shoulders. His mouth left her clit, and his fingers left her cunt. He gave another growl and licked her again.

Samantha gave him a playful smack on the top of his head. “Give it a little time. I’m sensitive down there now.”

He gazed up at her with a lazy smile. “I know.”

She gave him another playful pat. He was such a devil!

He let her back down to her feet, but he swept her up in his arms and marched into the bedroom. He threw her onto the bed, and she bounced a little, as she landed.

Her breath stuck in her throat, when she gazed up at him. He stood before her with his black eyes and raging hard cock. She licked her lips, wondering if he was wanting her to give him another blow job.

His eyes focused in on her lips, as she wet them, but then he moved onto the bed, and straddled her thighs.

He gave her a cocky grin, right before rubbing his cock up against her leg. Her breath hissed in. His member was huge!

Ok, it wasn’t like she had too much experience in this department. All her ex-boyfriends were ill-equipped and only seeking their own pleasure. Xacier on the other hand was tending to her every want and need.

His hands went to her breasts, and he pushed them together before bending over them and giving each taunt nipple a lick and a quick suckle. Then he moved down her body and spread her thighs. Was he really going to eat her out again? She didn’t know how much she could take!

She squirmed under his gaze, as he eyed her moist center.

  “You’re beautiful.”

Her heart stopped, and then started to beat a fast rhythm. He thought she was beautiful? None of her ex’s had ever told her she was beautiful. Then again she lived most of her life in plain white clothing.

  “Thank you.” Samantha blushed.

He gave a growl, as he bent over her and placed his hands beside her head, as he eased his cock into her tight folds.

She moved her hips a little, as he continued to slide his way into her. He was filling her completely, and it felt amazing.

Xacier grabbed her hips and shoved the rest of his cock into her depths. He paused for a couple seconds, and then withdrew his cock only to drive back into her. Her back arched, as he drove into her. Her breasts would brush against his hard chest, sending even more pleasure through her.

Xacier gave a roar, as he inner muscles clamped down around his cock, and he pumped into her, until she pulled everything from his cock and balls.

He collapsed on top of her, but was careful to make sure he didn’t put too much weight on her. Xacier didn’t want to crush her.

Lifting up on his hands he gave a kiss to her sweet little nose, and then rolled up and off her. He dragged her into his arms. The feel of her stiff nipples against his rock hard chest had his cock rising again.

She was so soft and yielding and so completely different from his own body. Was he really going to let her go, when they got to the space station? He was enjoying her in his bed and her ability to rebound when life got shitty.

But she would be hard to protect in his world. Once he got his position back as king, he would have the ability to keep h
er safe, but until then she would just be in risk.

He kept trying to tell himself he would forget about her once he got to Kell and had a Kell female, but somehow he knew it wouldn’t be true.

Samantha wasn’t only a good bed partner, but she also relieved some of his stress. He hadn’t been sleeping this well since… forever and he knew he had her to thank.

Every night they spent on the space ship was filled with passionate love making and Samantha felt a sense of loss the moment they arrived at the space station.

She wanted more time with him, but she also needed to get to her mother. Another man would come along, at some point, but she only had one mother and that mother needed her.

The hatch opened, and they stepped into a corridor.

“Where will you need to go?”

“A communication station would be nice. I might be able to get a message to my mother.”

“Then we shall find one.” Xacier’s hand found the small of her back, as he guided her through crowded halls, until they reached the promenade.

Samantha smiled. It was nice to be back in civilization. Her eyes eagerly took in all the shops and aliens. Space stations were almost the only place where humans and aliens mixed. Even though humans knew of aliens for a few centuries now, most humans still mistrusted aliens. But those people usually stayed in Earth’s solar system.

Jitters danced through her. “Come.” She wrapped her small hand around his much larger one and hauled him along.

He followed her through the throng of people, until she saw a communication station. Letting go of his hand she ran to it. She was going to be sending a message to her mother.

She typed in her username and password. There were no messages for her, which was strange, but she shook it off. Samantha typed off a short message to her mother, something along the lines that her delay was a long story but she was on her way.

She turned away from the console and looked over at Xacier. Now she had one more problem to overcome. She had very little money for passage.
