Decadent Delights Page 11

by DeYoung, Gail

As Trevor drove to the beach, he glanced at Dana and saw her sketching his profile. He chuckled.

  “Do you ever stop creating?”

She laughed and showed him what she was sketching.

“Never. I can’t help it. It’s the artist in me. I always carry a pencil and paper because I never know when something might catch my eye and I want to memorialize it. You look relaxed and happy and I want to capture that look. Do you mind?”

He shook his head. “Not at all. Continue. I like watching you work. Being with you makes me happy.” His smile gave her a warm feeling like soaking up the sun’s rays.

  “I feel that way too.”

“That’s good to know. Oh look. This area is perfect,” he said, pointing to a deserted stretch of beach. He pulled into a parking spot and shut off the engine. “Come, let’s have some fun.”

They spread out the blanket on the sand and tossed their shorts, shoes and tops on it. Then Trevor grabbed her hand and ran into the Gulf with her.

It was late in the day and high tide. The waves rolled steadily in, crashing against the shore with a loud rush. Dana squealed at the cold water that splashed against her legs as they ran into the surf. Trevor wrapped his arm around her waist to steady her.

“Would you like to go for a walk along the shoreline?” Trevor asked when they emerged from frolicking in the waves.

Dana nodded. “Oh yes, I’d like that.”

The cool, wet sand beneath her feet held her footprints briefly before the water swept in and washed them out to sea. Dana walked hand in hand with Trevor in companionable silence down the long, empty beach. From time to time, she looked over at him and smiled. He was so handsome that she couldn’t stop staring at him.

“What’s going on? I can see the wheels turning,” he said.

She sighed. “I was just thinking about how fate brought us together. So many elements had to fall in place for that to happen. If my parents hadn’t retired to Destin, I never would have moved here. If I hadn’t opened the candy shop, you wouldn’t have had a reason to come there to talk to me.”

“And if I hadn’t sent you the flowers to apologize, we never would have had dinner. In fact, we might have become adversaries.”

Dana shivered at the thought. “I’m so glad that didn’t happen.”

He squeezed her hand. “I agree. We would have missed this opportunity.”

“Uh huh. I really enjoyed this past week. I feel like I’ve known you much longer, perhaps because I’ve learned so much about you. But there’s still more to discover, I’m sure.”

A worried look spread across his features and he turned away.

“The sun’s setting. Isn’t the sky beautiful? Tomorrow should be a nice day.” He pointed to the picture-perfect sunset with tendrils of pink and coral spreading outward from the sun. “Let’s head back to the blanket.”

Dana sensed that Trevor was trying to change the topic and she wondered what affected his mood all of a sudden.

  “Are you all right?”

“Hmm?” He turned to look at her and sighed deeply. “Yeah, I’m sorry. I’ve just got a lot on my mind.”

“Is there anything I can do to help?”

He stopped and pulled her tight against his body. “You are helping just by being here. Whenever I’m not with you, I miss you. Thank you for coming with me tonight.”

Dana touched his face and smiled at him. “Thank you for inviting me. I love spending time with you.”

Suddenly, his expression became serious and he studied her intently. His pupils grew large from the dim light of the setting sun and that, combined with the intensity of his stare, made her swallow hard. She realized that what she said meant a great deal to him. As his mouth lowered to hers, she sighed against him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

His kiss tasted sweeter than any of her decadent chocolate confections. More than the softness of his lips as they moved across hers or the teasing of his talented tongue as it darted into her mouth, Dana sensed a difference in this kiss. Perhaps it was the possessive way he held her or the intense desire that radiated from his body, but she recognized the subtle statement he was making. He wanted her badly to be his, only his. All thought fled as she melted into his embrace and became lost in the tenderness of the moment.

In the background, she heard the waves crashing on the shore and the shrill call of the seagulls flying overhead. As the sun slipped slowly below the horizon and darkness enveloped them, Dana pushed aside her vague concerns and welcomed him with an open heart and an open mind.

Trevor teased the edges of her mouth with his tongue while his fingertips gently flowed down the muscles along her spine. She shivered, not from the chill in the brisk breeze, but from the delicious excitement he evoked. As his hands wrapped around her buttocks and squeezed, her feminine moisture escaped. She moaned against his mouth.

He dropped to his knees before her and buried his face in her bikini bottom. The heat of his mouth covered her mound and she closed her eyes to focus on the sensation. His fingers dipped under the edge of the material and slowly pulled it aside to expose her naked flesh. As he licked up and down over her quivering lips, she curled her fingers into the silky strands of his hair, holding onto his head.

All time seemed suspended as he sucked on her pussy lips. While his tongue laved her cleft, he spread the bikini bottom material wider to insert two fingers inside her. Dana’s breath came in short bursts as he pumped in and out, then twisted his fingers against her sensitive inner walls.

  “Oh Trevor!” Her legs wobbled.

He stood and lifted her into his arms. Dana smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. He carried her down the beach to the blanket and stood her upon it.

Though he said nothing, there was no mistaking the desire in his eyes. Her heart beat rapidly as his fingers skimmed down her arms and settled against her hips. Dana was so mesmerized by the look in his eyes that she barely noticed his fingers slipping under her bikini bottom. Before she knew it, both pieces of her bikini were discarded and she stood naked before him, her skin bathed in the silvery glow of the moon. The wind blew his hair around, giving him the familiar slightly mussed look, which she loved.

Dana wanted him naked too. She pulled his bathing shorts down and tossed it aside as he had done with hers. Though the blood ran hot through her veins and she desired to have his mouth and hands on her once again, she couldn’t resist running her fingers over his broad, tanned chest and his around the design of his tattoo.

“You’re so sexy. I could spend hours touching you, getting to know each muscle intimately,” she said, drawing an imaginary line down his torso over the rise and fall of his six-pack. When she encountered the soft curls, his nostrils flared and his eyes grew wider. She paused and licked her lips, noting his rod twitch in response.

“Especially this one,” she said, taking his cock into her hand.

  “You’re a tease.”

  “Guilty.” She smiled at him.

He growled as he pulled her down to the blanket. All thoughts of further teasing were cast aside as she wrapped her hand around his head and drew him to her mouth. He tasted like sea spray and his big body felt warm and comforting as he lowered on top of her.

“Make love to me,” she whispered against his ear as she felt a familiar throb between her legs.

He moaned in response. The rhythmic flex of his hips evoked a similar response from her. She pressed her mound against his cock, noting how long and hard it had grown. He was more than ready to give her the pleasure she sought. Dana wrapped one leg around his hip and gave his buttock a little bump of encouragement to seek entrance to her core. She lifted eagerly as he guided his member to comply with her wishes.

The moment he slid inside, she cried out with joy and dug her fingers into his back. Oh yes, this was what she wanted—his hard cock buried deep within, stroking the sensitive nerve endings and brushing against her G-spot. He rocked against her and she arched into him, matchin
g every stroke with her own.

Both hands grabbed her breasts while he pumped in and out. He smiled before he sucked her right nipple into his mouth and flicked it with his tongue. When he lifted his head, that nub had become more prominent and the areola puckered. He looked at the other and fell upon it to torment it into a matching tight bud.

Her eyes drifted closed and she sucked in a deep breath of satisfaction. Every stroke, every touch, every lick sent shivers down her body. Pleasure flooded her and her pussy squeezed him tightly.

He varied the momentum of his thrusts so one moment she luxuriated in the gentle sensations and the next she breathed hard as he pumped vigorously inside her. She loved how he switched positions from having her legs spread wide to closing them. His shaft slid along the cocoon of her closed legs to the heat within, as his strong body came into close contact with the length of hers.

Just when she relished every stroke in that position, he switched again, this time raising her left leg to change the angle of his rod’s entry. He dove much deeper inside, causing her to bite her lip. But it wasn’t long before he raised her right leg and she was folded over, unable to do much more than enjoy his dominance while he controlled the rhythm and depth of his thrusts. His face hovered above hers and she noted dots of perspiration on his forehead.

His gaze captured and held hers. The man had the most amazing eyes, so dark, so mesmerizing, so filled with passion. Though he did not verbalize his feelings, his eyes told her how much he cared. And when he pressed his lips against her cheeks, her nose, her eyes and eventually her mouth, she felt adored in a way that she had never known. These were Trevor’s treasures, not the candies he made. She would carry with her the memories of every kiss, every touch and every move he made tonight.

When he turned her onto her side and slid in from behind, she arched her back into him. His strong arms wrapped around her body and pulled her close. She snuggled against his warmth, relishing the beat of his heart against her back. He nipped her shoulder as he increased his movements and she sensed that he was nearing orgasm. Dana concentrated on the little quivers of her inner muscles as she undulated against him. As his fingers searched between her folds to find and massage her pleasure nub, her own desire spiraled higher and higher.

She cried out as her sheath vibrated around his cock, squeezing a release from him. He growled his orgasm against her ear and, after several vigorous thrusts, quieted as he relaxed. Dana laced her fingers through his and snuggled close against him, sighing in contentment. He hugged her tight against his chest and rested his leg upon her thigh in silent acknowledgement of the tenderness of the moment.

They lay entwined in the darkness while their heartbeats slowed. A full moon shone down upon them and a gentle breeze drifted across their bodies.

As she relaxed against him and drifted off to sleep in his arms, Trevor knew there was no way he would leave her, even if it meant that he had to pay a lot of money to his attorney to get rid of his “problem”. No, he did not want to miss a minute of her soft sighs, her tender touch or her sweet kisses. The connection they made tonight was proof enough that he needed to be with her, to strengthen the bond and to make her understand that he’d be there for her. Nothing else mattered. Especially not Trace.

  Chapter Ten

Trevor grasped the steering wheel tightly as he watched Trace pull into the parking spot next to him. When Trace emerged from his vehicle, his smug look told Trevor that he had come to the conclusion that he was going to hear some encouraging news. Trevor swallowed hard. This was not going to be easy, but the sooner he informed his brother of his decision, the better he’d feel about it.

He got out of his car and met Trace at the door to Karen’s Coffee Shop.

“After you,” he said, smiling at his brother as he held the door open.

Trace nodded and walked to the counter.

“Well, Trace, I haven’t seen you in these parts for a while. Good to see ya,” Karen said in her usual cheerful tone. “So, what’ll it be?”

“Espresso, no cream or sugar and a bran muffin.”

“You got it,” she said, smiling. “What about you, Trevor?”

“Make mine the same,” Trevor said, tossing down his debit card. Karen rang up their ticket, then stepped away to prepare their order.

“Geez, this place never changes, does it?” Trace said, looking around the room. “But Karen’s gotten a lot older in the past few years. Look at all those gray hairs!”

“Shhh. She’ll hear you,” Trevor warned and his brother rolled his eyes.

“Man, don’t be so touchy. I didn’t say anything to her. But it probably wouldn’t hurt for someone to suggest that she dye her hair.”

“You’re being overly critical. This isn’t New York, you know.”

“Yeah, tell me about it.” Trace scowled as he surveyed the room.

Trevor followed Trace to a table near the front window. He knew not to suggest a less visible location as Trace always had to be in the center of the room or near a window.

“So, are you going to be around for Valentine’s Day? I could sure use an extra pair of hands at the store,” Trevor said nonchalantly before sipping his coffee.

Trace narrowed his eyes in an assessing glare. “Not sure. That’s still five days away. I can give you a hand in the meantime, but I’m not making plans that far in advance…unless they involve leaving this little town.” He cocked his head to the side.

Trevor gave him a half smile. His brother was onto him already. “Hmm. Well, if you are in town, just remember I asked.” He wanted to be sure to give the subtle hint in case Trace had any idea about offering to help the competition.

A deep sigh indicated his brother’s frustration.

“So, have you given any thought to what you’re going to do about the offer you received the other night?” Trace asked, his forehead wrinkled in concern.

Trevor nodded while he continued to munch on his muffin. He swallowed and said, “Yep.”

“Care to share?” Another deep sigh.

“I’ve got my lawyer handling it.”

Trace threw his head back, closed his eyes and grimaced. When he looked at Trevor again, he said, “And what’s that supposed to mean?”

Trevor shrugged. “Basically, I’ve decided I’m not going to do it. I’ve hired him to make the necessary arrangements.”

“Son of a…you did what!” Trace yelled and banged the table with his fist, which drew the large crowd’s attention. Trevor didn’t blink.

“It’s my life, Trace. I’ve been telling you that since you arrived in town. I have other interests.”

Trace glared at the other customers, who turned away when he focused on them. Then he faced his brother.

“I know what your other interests are, bro. You’re thinking with your little head and that’s just not smart. We’re not talking about a major commitment of time here, just a few months. You’ve got enough crew at the store to take care of business. All you have to do is put your love life on hold for a little while. What’s so hard about that?”

Trevor leaned in close to look his brother directly in the eyes. “I’m no fool, Trace. We’ve been doing this long enough for me to know exactly what’s going to happen. We’ll be almost finished with this job and something else will come up, then something else. Before we know it, two months will turn into six months, then a year. Not this time. I’m tired of putting my life on hold just so you can have your way.”

Trace leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest. He shook his head. “You know, I thought you were smarter than this. It’s not about me. It’s about us and, more importantly, it’s about your reputation, which is in the can right now.”

Trevor chuckled and shook his head. After a momentary pause, he said, “Fuck my reputation.”

Shock registered on his brother’s features. Apparently, he had finally gotten through to him, though he wished he hadn’t had to swear to get his message across.

Red-faced, Trace stood and tossed his napkin on the table after wiping his mouth.

“You know what? You’re an ass! I’m done with you! I tried to help you, but apparently, blood isn’t thicker than water. Very soon now, you’re going to see how wrong you are. Then you’ll come crawling back to me begging for my help, but it will be too late. I’m outta here.”

Without a backward glance, Trace stormed out of the store, brushing against a waitress delivering a hot meal to a table. Although he almost knocked the food out of her hand, he didn’t apologize.

Trevor sighed deeply. Dealing with his brother’s mood swings was never easy, especially when Trace’s mind was set upon a particular goal that Trevor did not share. Though Trace seemed quite angry, Trevor knew that in time they would declare a truce and Trace would forgive him, just like he had a hundred times before. No, he wouldn’t spend another minute worrying about his brother’s reaction. He could deal with that.

Dana, on the other hand, was another story. How would he explain that his brother was no longer going to sit for the sculpture? He may have just landed himself in hot water with her.

Trace slammed the car door behind him and squealed the tires as he pulled away from Karen’s Coffee Shop. Seeing red, he sped across town toward Decadent Delights. Women! They always seem to get in the way. We’ll see about that. By the time I’m done with her, she won’t want to have anything to do with Trevor. I’ll make sure of it.

  Chapter Eleven

Dana sensed the heat of the warm, masculine body behind her before strong hands grasped her breasts.

  “Oh!” Trevor…

When he pinched her nipples through the soft material of her blouse, she gasped, then moaned softly. Hot kisses fell upon her neck and she leaned her head sideways to allow him full access.

The back workroom was cool, but she was getting warmer by the minute. Her gloved hands were covered in chocolate, so she leaned against his strong body and rotated her hips. He growled his pleasure against her ear and kneaded her breasts with tender torment. Her moans only encouraged him further and he pulled aside her clothing to bare her flesh. How she loved the way Trevor played her body!
