The feeling was proven right when Sebastian whispered against his lips.
"I know we haven't been dating long but I love you."
Tony's lower lip wobbled before he kissed Sebastian, the kiss deeper but still filled with love. "I love you too."
"Sorry to interrupt, but can I speak to Sebastian?" Irwin had followed after his son when he spotted them walking away. He had heard everything.
Tony smiled and kissed Sebastian on the cheek before going off to find his friends, who had been filled in about what was to happen along with Sebastian's friends and sister so they all circled him, happy that it was over.
"I am sorry Sebastian." Irwin didn't see the point in trying to justify himself when he knew that there was no justifying what he did, that he didn't see the signs.
Irwin watched his son as he looked at the painting.
"You hurt me, I'll admit, but I suppose I could have handled it better. Let's just put this behind us and go back to being a family." Irwin smiled when his son offered him his hand for a handshake. Irwin grabbed his hand and yanked his son into a hug.
"Only if that family involves Tony."
Sebastian smiled.
"Yeah, he's a package deal with me now, where he goes, I'll go. He's the first person to really see me."
The two men joined their loved ones shortly after. The exhibitions did splendidly and the case against Justin even more so when people started to come forward, they too threatened to spread the rumors.
That night, snug in bed with Sebastian beside him, Tony smiled at the slumbering face. He leaned forward and kissed Sebastian once more. Softly as to not wake the man. Tony would forever be grateful for the day he was told he needed extra credits.
He reminded himself to get Professor Hunter a big bouquet of flowers and a thank card.
Maybe a box of chocolates too.
With a smile, Tony drifted off to sleep, the smile lessening in sleep but it stayed there until the morning and all those following.

Damien is a new and mysterious stagehand, always seen and never heard, who likes to lurk around the empty theater after dark.
Jonathan Sheppard, the star of this season’s fall production, thinks Damien is an absolute weirdo, but for some reason he can’t get the strange boy (or his flat ironed bangs) out of his mind.
