The Chocolate Heart Page 32

by Laura Florand

A true King of Macarons, internationally known. His Ispahan was the inspiration for Philippe’s rose-heart gift to Magalie in The Chocolate Kiss and has, additionally, inspired imitations and variations in pastry shops all over the world. You deserve to try it at least once. Alas, you can’t sit down in his boutiques, so plan to wander with your treats to the banks of the Seine or the steps of Saint-Sulpice, depending on your location.

This is a concept restaurant/salon de thé/boutique, and the concept is chocolate. This is, quite simply, an extremely fun place to be for anyone who likes chocolate or anything else that’s delicious. The chocolat chaud is, of course, superb, as are most of the pastries, including, of course, their macarons.

  And You?

I love to discover new places to indulge. Come share your favorite places for moments of elegance, great macarons, luscious chocolat chaud, and top-quality artisan chocolate, both in Paris and around the world, on my site: www.lauraflorand.com. Chocolate, I have discovered, knows no frontiers, and chocolate lovers travel everywhere. Or we will, if we’re tempted enough.
