An Insane Love Page 14

Kade was so fine, and he knew he was too. Ever since he showed up on my doorstep a few days ago to give me Mayhem’s report, I hadn’t been able to stop thinking about him. I wasn’t interested in anything romantically with him, I just instantly became sexually attracted to him. You knew how you strolled Instagram and saw niggas, and be like, damn, I wonder what his dick is like. That’s how I was with Kade. When I opened the door, he was standing there, looking like a snack. He had on a pair of khaki chinos that were tailored to fit his body, and they were cuffed at the ends right above his brown Aldo boots. He had on a brown Ferragamo belt, a sky-blue shirt that was unbuttoned at the top, which showed the small gold chains around his neck. The noticeable one had a gold ‘K’ on the end of it. Luckily, I was much shorter than him, and he didn’t see that lump that I had to swallow when I looked him up and down. He handed me the papers, and then he called me beautiful. My body screamed internally because it sounded so good when it came out of his mouth. I mean… oh my God!

After the way the word beautiful rolled off his tongue, I had become sexually attracted to him. I instantly thought about how good he was in bed. I followed him on both his personal and work Instagram. He didn’t have any clients but the Baileys, but every now and then, he did help people build their credit. At first, I felt bad for having sexual thoughts about this man, but then I realized I wasn’t doing anything but thinking about it.

“Rubee, you don’t hear me talking to you!” Bash yelled, bringing me out of my fantasy about Kade. “You been sitting there staring at the wall and biting the end of that pencil for the last couple of minutes.”

“I’m sorry, Bash. I was thinking about this food list. You’re going to the grocery store with me, right?” I asked him.

“Nah, I got some shit I need to handle,” he replied.

“Language, Daddy,” Raylee said without looking at him.

“I’m sorry, cupcake,” Bash apologized to her.

“You know I hate going to the grocery store by myself, Bash.” I huffed.

“It’s about to rain. Ain’t nobody gon’ be out. Don’t go to the one that you normally go to. Go to the one that’s around the corner.”

“Are you taking Raylee with you? You know she hates the grocery store after so long. We don’t have anything, Bash, and I’m going to be there for at least two hours. I’m going to—”

“I have things to handle, Rubee.”

“Okay, Sebastian,” I said and waved him off.

  “Look, it ain’t nothing like—”

“Raylee, would you like to go over to your uncle Mayhem’s house and play with Prestyn and Pryor while I go grocery shopping?” I asked her, cutting Bash off.

“Yes. I’m going to play more with Prestyn because Pryor is kind of mean with her toys. Uncle Mayhem have to make her stop throwing them all the time,” she said, making me laugh.

From what Aunt Angela told me, Pryor the second is really living up to her dad’s name. She said that Pryor used to be a very busy kid and commanded attention.

“Okay. I’m going to go put on some pants, and I’ll be ready, okay?” I told her, and she nodded her head.

I got up and walked in the room, and before I could shut the door, Bash came in behind me.

“Yo, what the fuck is your problem? You starting to annoy the fuck out of me,” he snapped at me.

“Bash, you are starting to get annoyed when I am already annoyed. I ask you to do basic things, and you act like it’s hard to do it. You act like your fucking world is getting ready to end because I ask you to come to the grocery store with me. You been had an attitude with me ever since last night. I don’t know what’s going on with you, but I been giving you way too much leeway. You are going to make H-town Rubee Bailey come out, and you ain’t gon’ like that bitch. Now, get the fuck out and go do what the fuck you said that you needed to do. Maybe I’ll see you tonight, or maybe I won’t,” I spat and walked in the closet.

Instead of doing what the fuck I told him to do, he followed me in the closet, picking with me. I opened my dresser and put my hand on the handle of Cutty while he was talking shit.

“I can do whatever the fuck I want to do around here, Rubee. I pay the mothafuckin’ bills in this bitch. You shouldn’t complain about me being gone, because it allows you to live up in this big ass house. It allows you to be able to come and go as you please in that brand-new ass car out there. Don’t you dare talk shit to me, because I’ll break your fucking face up in here. And what the fuck do you mean H-Town Rubee, and maybe you’ll see me tonight, or maybe you won’t? Your dumb ass better be here when I get home, because if you not…” he said and trailed off, once I came out of my dresser with Cutty, my machete, and pointed the tip at his neck.

He started backing up slowly, while I walked with him, still holding the machete to his neck. He missed the open door and backed into the wall, and the tip of the machete penetrated his skin just a little. A small little dot of blood was forming, and he was shaking, scared to even swallow the glob of spit that I was sure had accumulated in his throat.

“If I’m not… what? You were saying something, Bash? I can’t quite fucking hear you now. Look, I could easily tell you how back in Houston, I cut a nigga the fuck up for calling me a bitch, or I could tell you about the time I set a nigga’s car on fire with him in it because he thought he could talk to me the way that you are doing right now. I have been trying to change my ways because I got a baby girl that looks up to me. So Bash, stop fucking playing me before I cut your body up, put you in the grinder, and make some Bash ground beef,” I growled.

“Mommmmm!” Raylee called out, prompting me to take Cutty away from his neck quickly and hide it behind my back.

  “Yes, sweetie!” I called out.

“I’m going to go use the bathroom. I just wanted you to know where I am going to be,” she said.

  “Okay, baby. Remember—”

“Front to back,” we both said at the same time, making me smile.

I focused back on Bash. “Now... I’m going to get ready and go grocery shopping. Like I said before, maybe I’ll see you later, or maybe I won’t.” I growled and walked away from him.

I placed Cutty back in the dresser, but I was going to move it because he saw where I got it from. I have had Cutty since I got jumped into PGR. They wanted to give me a gun, but I ain’t want it.

“I’ll cancel my plans,” he finally said.

“Nah, I’m good. Gone ‘head and keep your plans. Just know that shit around here is about to change, my nigga. You have fucked up for the last time,” I hissed.

After I pulled out a pair of Pink jogging pants, I slid them over the soft shorts that I had on. Bash watched me for a few moments before he finally walked out of the closet, leaving me alone. After I was sure that he wasn’t coming back, I placed Cutty in the bathroom, under the sink, behind all of my hair products. I grabbed a light hoodie before I walked back out into the living room, and Raylee was sitting on the couch, waiting for me.

“Let me grab your jacket,” I told her.

“I got my Hello Kitty umbrella, Mom,” she said.

“You still need something on your arms, little girl.”

  “Okay.”

After I grabbed her jacket, I went and grabbed my list out the kitchen, along with my purse before heading out the door.

“Hey, Rubee! What’s going on?” Olena asked me when she opened the door. “Mayhem is downstairs. You want me to call him up?”

“No. I’m so sorry I didn’t call before I came over, but I needed to go to the grocery store. Raylee doesn’t like the grocery store, and I was wondering if you two could watch her until I get back.”

“It’s fine, babe. I’m not doing anything. Kam is coming over to get a facial a little later, but that’s about it.”

“Thank you so much! If she’s bad, then you can tap her little legs,” I told her, even though I knew that Raylee was not like that.

“Oh no, no, no. She doesn’t cut up ove
r here. Now, with them other twins across town, they turn the house upside down. You know Malice lets them kids do what they want to do,” she said and laughed. “I guess because they are closer in age, but yes, go, go, go, before it gets too bad out. I’ll see you later.”

After I had been walking around the grocery store for almost two hours, I looked at my list, and the last thing on it was canned vegetables. I walked on the aisle and immediately backed up when I saw him. I had to catch my breath because he was still in his gym wear, but he had on shirt. I took a deep breath and went back on the aisle. He didn’t notice me because he was looking at his phone and then back at the cans.

  “Need help?” I asked.

“Nah, I got it. Thank…” He stopped when he looked up and saw it was me. “You.”

He looked down into my buggy that was filled to the rim with groceries and then back at me and shook his head.

“You wait until you don’t have anything in your house to go grocery shopping? That’s not good,” he said.

“Yeah. Why you keep looking at your phone and then the cans? You’re getting instructions from someone?” I asked him.

“Well, I plan on making some of my mom’s famous chicken pot pie, but I can’t find the right peas. I don’t see the brand Frozen,” he said and squatted down.

His very veiny arms caught my attention, making me wonder if his dick was just as veiny, but then I thought about what he said.

“Kade. Frozen peas are in the frozen section, idiot,” I said and laughed so hard.

He palmed his forehead and started laughing. “Listen, I haven’t gotten any sleep over the last few days, so I’m kind of running on fumes. I promise I’m not a dummy,” he said.

“I believe you. If you are running on fumes, then why are you in the gym working out instead of getting sleep?”

  “How did you know that?”

“I follow you on Instagram. You get that many followers, you don’t know when people follow you?”

“Nah, I don’t have any of my notifications on. I would have to go in and see it.”

I nodded my head slowly in response to what he said.

Not wanting to pry, but I had to know who he was dicking down on a regular, so I asked, “You sure your girlfriend is going to make your mom’s recipe like her.”

He smirked and then walked up on me. I had to take a step back because of how close he was up on me. He smelled so damn good. How could he smell so good when he’d been to the gym and was sweating like crazy on the picture he posted? I stood at Kade’s chest, which meant he was at least six feet tall. Kade’s skin was perfect with a bronze hue. His eyes were light brown and so beautiful. He was so sexy that even his wide set nose was sexy. Kade’s lips were so big and juicy, and my clit jumped at the thought of him placing his lips anywhere on my body. His goatee was lined to perfection and shaved closely to his face. His hair was cut low and looked like he had just gotten a fresh cut. All in all, he looked good as fuck.

“You think you can do better, Rubee?” he asked in such a sexy ass tone.

  “H-h-huh,” I stuttered.

“You asked me was I sure if my girlfriend was going to make my mom’s recipe like her, and I asked you, do you think that you could do better?”

“Hell yeah. I can cook my ass off,” I said.

“Well, come cook for me tonight. Come over tonight at seven. All the ingredients will be laid out for you.”

“Nigga, please. I have a boyfriend,” I said matter-of-factly with my chest out.

Smirking, he got closer to me and repeated himself. “I said be at my house at seven. I’m going to DM you my address.”

“Y-yo-you have a girlfriend.” I spoke in a low tone and backed away because this nigga was literally making me feel powerless. Way different than what I felt when I had that machete against Bash’s neck.

“What did I say?” he asked in a low growl.

“You have a girl—” I started before he grabbed me by my hoodie and pulled me closer to him.

“That’s not what I said. Tell me what I said, Rubee,” he ordered me.

“You said be at your house at seven,” I said.

“Thank you. Now that you have agreed to that, I expect to see you at seven, and if you’re not there, I’m going to have to come get you,” he said and pinched my cheek before he started to walk away.

  “Kade…” I called his name.

“Seven, Rubee,” he said without even turning around.

He left me there confused, powerless, and with a wet pussy. I didn’t know what I was going to do. I pulled my phone out my pocket and saw that it was just after one in the afternoon. When I finally got feeling in my legs, I grabbed the canned vegetables that I needed and went to go check out. While I was standing in the line waiting for my turn, Kade was leaving out the store. He noticed me and threw his head back with a wink. That nigga was the goddamn devil, and that only made me more sexually attracted to him. I had never been with another man, but I had a strong feeling that Kade was going to change that… soon, but definitely not tonight, because I needed to let him know that he didn’t run me.

I knocked on Mayhem’s door and waited while he answered. I was so nervous and kept looking at my watch like seven had magically snuck up on me or something.

“Family, come in,” Mayhem said when he opened the door.

I walked by him and into his crib.

“Why you all jittery and shit? You are making me nervous,” Mayhem said from behind me.

  I didn’t think that I looked nervous.

“Nothing. Coffee. Is Olena here?” I asked.

“Yeah, but she’s down in the shop doing Kam a facial. Raylee is in the playroom with both sets of twins.”

“Oh, I’m sorry if Raylee has been acting bad,” I said to him.

“Nah, Phoenix and Phoebe know Uncle May don’t play. They know who to try.”

“Okay. I’m going to go down and tap on the door. Is that okay?”

“Yeah, but if you get cursed out, don’t come up here in tears because I’m going to say that I told you so,” he said, making me laugh.

Downstairs, I took a deep breath before I knocked slightly on the door.

“Mayhem, Pier’s bottle is in the fridge on the second row next to the flour. Now leave me alone,” she said.

“Uh, it’s me, Rubee,” I said.

“Me, Rubee, I’m working. Can you come back later?”

“It’s really, really important. I feel like I’m losing it, and I can’t talk to Mayhem,” I admitted.

Moments later, the door opened, and I walked in. Kam was on the table with a towel wrapped around her face.

  “Speak,” Olena said.

The jitters got worse when I realized that I was about to talk about Kade in front of Kam. I knew that she was probably going to curse me out, but I didn’t care.

“Have you ever been sexually attracted to someone other than Mayhem, or Malice for you, Kam?” I asked them.

“No. I don’t even look at no other niggas like that. I see cute niggas all the time, but do I wonder what their sex is like? Nah,” Kam said.

“Same for me. Mayhem is that nigga,” Olena replied. “Why you ask?”

“Well… I haven’t ever been sexually attracted to another nigga until I saw this dude and actually had a chance to get a good look at him. And then it’s like, I been stalking his Instagram ever since. I been wondering what his dick felt like. His lips are massive, and I wonder what they felt like. I just feel… I don’t know. I never thought I would look at another regular dude like that. I mean, I know people lust over Trey Songz or maybe even T.I., but this dude is someone I could see just in the fucking grocery store. I’m going to give in because I’m already weak.”

“Okay, well, you know I’m a retired slut, so I say fuck him. You’re not married, and Mayhem has already had to beat up your nigga for being on that fuck shit, so get you a good fuck and leave him alone.”

  “Okay, I can—” I started.

“Rubee, do not listen to Olena. You are in a relationship, and you don’t need to be cheating on your man,” Kam cut me off.

  “But—”

“But nothing. Two wrongs don’t make a right, Rubee,” Kam said.

“And two rights make a left. Don’t listen to Kam,” Olena said, making me laugh.

“Well, he is forcing me to come over to his house to cook for him and told me that if I wasn’t in his yard at seven, then he’s going to come over to my house and get me,” I told them.

“Looks like you have gotten yourself in a pickle,” Olena said and laughed.

My phone lit up, and I saw that Kade had posted a picture on Instagram. My addicted ass opened it up, and it was a picture of the food and the caption was At Seven, and my heart dropped.

He’s really serious, I thought to myself. After I looked at the picture, I saw that there was a message in my DM. I opened it, and it was his address. I just stared at it because I felt like Kade would really show the fuck up at my house.

“Oh, bitch, you are talking about my brother,” Kam said, prompting me to look at her, and she was staring at her phone.

  “Huh?” I said.

“Kade posted a picture of food on his Instagram and said at seven, so are you talking about my brother?”

  “Kam… yes, but—”

“Girl, don’t get my brother caught up in your bullshit! I know if your nigga fuck with my brother, I’ll have Malice kill his ass, and you know Mayhem already two seconds off his ass anyway,” Kam snapped on me.

“I’m not going to get him caught up in no bullshit, I promise. I just… he’s so fine and so macho. He told me that I better be at his house at seven, and my pussy got so wet. I felt so weak for him. It’s like… he made me feel something that Bash hadn’t made me feel in a long time. I just had a machete to his neck.”

“Hol’ up, what? Explain the machete.” Olena laughed.

I explained to them what happened between Bash and I before I left the house, and they both were looking at me like I was crazy.
