“Now come here.” He said pulling her even closer. He dropped to his knees and worked her pants off in one swoop. He began kissing her thighs tenderly inhaling the fragrant Love Spell perfume.
She could feel his desire for her as each kiss placed his lips closer to her tight, wet, pleasure zone. She could feel herself creaming with pure excitement. She reached down and placed her hand behind his head and gently guided him to her wet cove. The moment he penetrated her with his tongue she screamed in pure delight. Her moans of pleasure took his excitement to a new level.
He didn’t know that his manhood had the power to swell anymore than it already was, but, it did and he was throbbing. He just had to explore deeper into her seemly never-ending sea of wetness. He loved the very taste of her, the feel of Shandra, the scent of her excited womanhood. Trey felt like he was going to explode just from tasting her love juices on his tongue, but he was determined to be inside the woman that his heart knew was his. He gently laid her down on the plush carpeted floor and positioned himself over her. He looked into her eyes and leaned down. Into her ear he whispered, “Shandra, I want you with all that I am and aspire to be. I have wanted you from the very first time I laid eyes on you. Please let me have you.”
“Just make love to me Trey! Make love to me, please!” Shandra exclaimed, wanting to believe Trey, yet terrified of getting hurt at the same time. Her body wanted him but her heart was so afraid to let him in.
Her fear of being hurt was obvious because her body suddenly turned cold.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” Trey was just about to enter her when he recognized the fear in her eyes.
“Why did you choose me instead of Sabrina?” She asked him, suddenly feeling self conscious. She knew she was a few sizes bigger than Sabrina and a few shades darker. She lacked Sabrina’s confidence.
“Why wouldn’t I?” Was his reply. “If I wanted a woman I could spend one night with, I would have chosen Sabrina. Maybe. But, I’m not looking for drama, Shandra. I’m looking for a woman I can hold in my arms and share my life with. I’m ready for love.
Are you?”
Shandra didn’t know what to say. She was ready to be loved, but could her heart handle another heartbreak? “I’ve been hurt, Trey. I want to try but….”
“Shandra, I have another poem I’d like to share with you if you don’t mind.” He rose from the floor and took a book from the shelf.
“No, I don’t mind. I love poetry.” She answered nervously. She felt like such a fool lying naked on the floor. Her body was screaming yes but her mind was full of doubt. She didn’t want to be hurt again. Her broken heart had yet to fully heal.
Without opening the book, Trey began reading the poem.
A Special World ©
A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.
Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.
And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.
“Trey, that was a poem that Jerome wrote for me back in college.”
Trey just smiled at her.
Then finally she had her light bulb moment and realized that Trey was the one who had written the poem all along. “Let me guess, it was you who wrote the poem for me?” He nodded affirmatively. “I should have known that asshole didn’t take that much time to write something nice for me.”
She then told him how she finally remembered him from college after seeing his graduation picture. He was a little embarrassed, but once she rubbed his chiseled chest he felt as ease.
“The words came easy. I was just expressing my true feelings for you, Shandra,” he answered as he thumbed through the pages of the poetry book. Over the years Shandra had inspired several of his poems.
“And after all these years, you still remember that poem?” Shandra couldn’t believe it. Trey knew every word of the poem by heart.
“The words come from my heart. There’s no way I can forget how I feel,” He told her. “I wrote so many poems. I just never had the nerve to share with you until now.”
“You wrote a whole book of poetry about me?” She asked, amazed.
“Most of it. That’s just how special you are to me.” He answered as he closed the book and turned to put it away.
“Trey, I’m ready,” Shandra said in a seductive whisper. “I’m ready for your love.”
When he turned around, Shandra had her legs spread all the way open, rubbing her own pussy with one hand while beckoning him over with the other. She was ready to love again. She was ready to be held and trusted that her heart wouldn’t be broken again. She not only opened her legs to her lover; she opened her heart to her friend.
Trey entered her gently as he stared into her beautiful, hazel eyes. She was wet and tight. He was gentle with her until he felt himself drowning in her ecstasy. He thrust deeper into her with more intensity as his pace quickened. He lost all control when he felt her walls squeezing him ever so tightly. They held each other closely as their bodies trembled. Orgasm took over, leaving them both too weak to move from their embrace. India Arie’s beautiful voice comforted them from the other room as she sang, “I am ready for love.”
Their forever and a day had just begun.

Me without You
David Williams
Tonight, all of Kaneese’s wishes would come true and her life would forever change. It would be a night she’d never forget. These things, Teddy was sure of.
After their first year together, Teddy knew for certain he’d make Kaneese his wife. She was such a devoted woman and a strong supporter in all of his endeavors. Most important to Teddy is that she shared his passion of cooking.
Over the past ten years, Teddy had been developing his skills – dabbling in the finest of international cuisine. He spent a lot of time working in various kitchens between his hometown of Orlando and his current residence of Tampa – tempting the palates of thousands of patrons that dined out. Before meeting Kaneese, it was key to his path in life to establish himself as owner and executive chef of his own restaurant. And he had only five days left before the grand opening of his very own restaurant, Orange Sun, which would make its debut in Tampa.
“We’ll start with strategic accounting on Monday,” said Professor Ian. “Enjoy your weekend everyone.”
An adrenaline rush shot through Teddy’s body as he hopped out of his chair and headed out of the door and to his car. It was just after six and he had told Kaneese to be ready at seven thirty. He was cutting it close and had very little time to prepare for this special evening, but he did his best work under pressure. Even though the excitement had him fully charged, he was careful not to speed through traffic.
Teddy pulled into his parking space at home at exactly 6:30 p.m. He dashed to his townhouse, stripping himself along the way wasting nary minute.
Once inside he quickly downed a glass of water then headed straight for the shower. Having already pressed his attire for the evening he afforded himself a few extra minutes to soak. He truly needed it. With his day beginning at seven in the morning, his time in the shower was like a second wind.
As the hour drew closer to picking up Kaneese, Teddy got more and more excited. He dabbed himself with a
few drops of cologne, snatched up the engagement ring and the card addressed to Mrs. Kaneese Brian, her name to be. He smiled, nearly shedding a tear knowing the time had finally come. He took one last look in the mirror and said, “You’re one lucky man,” then out the door he went, to pick up his future wife.
Stopped at the light at 56thst and Hillsborough Avenue, he took a quick second to text Kaneese: Hey, Hun, I’m on my way. c u in a minute. luv u.
Figuring she was still getting ready, he didn’t want to call and take up any of her time. He tuned his iPod to Tony, Toné, Toni’s Anniversary off the Son’s of Soul album. The two lovers had declared this to be their song soon after their first year together.
Teddy sang along with Raphael Saadiq as he crooned the heartfelt lyrics of the song. “Today is now here and girl I can’t wait it’s our anniversary.” He slightly tailored the song to suit his special occasion.
Traffic flowed smoothly down Hillsborough and got even better turning onto Highway 301. This was perfect for Teddy. With less than 15 minutes ‘til he got to Kaneese’s place his normal need for speed was reserved for cruise control.
The vibration of his cell against his waist alarmed him. “Hello.”
“Hey you! Are you on your way?” Kaneese asked.
“I’m less than 15 minutes away.”
“Okay, sounds good.”
“Are you ready?
“Ready and waiting.”
Teddy smiled. “Okay, I’ll see you soon.”
From their brief conversation Teddy could tell she was excited. He was excited himself just knowing what he had in store for her. He’d recited his proposal several times throughout the day to make sure he had it down pat. Under no circumstances would he allow his nervousness to stump him. Everything would go smoothly just the way he intended.
He pulled his Denali into the narrow driveway of Kaneese’s home.
Kaneese didn’t wait for Teddy to ring the bell. She’d heard him pull up and rushed downstairs to open the garage door for him. “Why don’t you just park on the street?” she asked, witnessing Teddy ease out of his doorway, careful not to bump or scratch the neighbors Mercedes.
“Hun, you know how I feel about that.”
“But we’re not staying are we?”
“No.”
“Well I’m ready, so let’s go.” She depressed the garage and quickly ran out.
“Geez, someone’s anxious.”
“You know I am.” She kissed him then ran around to the passenger side. “I’ve been racking my brain all day trying to figure out where we are going. Any hints?”
“You want a hint?”
She nodded feverishly.
“We’re going someplace really nice.” Teddy chuckled.
“That wasn’t funny.”
Judging from her tone and the unpleasant look on her face, Teddy noticed a slight attitude. “Are you mad ‘cause I won’t tell you?”
“I’m not mad,” she pouted, folded her arms and looked out of the passenger window.
“Well, you sure got me fooled with that serious look on your face.” He stroked her cheek with the back of his hand. ““I’m not going to give in so if you want to sit quiet and not speak to me, then fine. All I know is that you’ll have plenty to say once we get there.”
Kaneese turned to him. “I hope you’re right.”
They drove the next few minutes in silence. To liven up the mood Teddy pressed play on his iPod and allowed the music to take control.
When Kaneese heard the soft cries of the violin, her mood softened. “Baby, that’s our song!”
Teddy smiled seeing the change in Kaneese. “I knew that would straighten out those looks you were giving me.”
Kaneese reached over the armrest and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. “Happy anniversary, baby.”
“Wow, see what a brother has to go through just to get a good vibe going?”
“Baby, I’m sorry. But you know how I get when it comes to surprises. My nerves get the best of me.”
“Well you better get a grip on your nerves ‘cause, if I tell you, it spoils everything I’ve planned for you. So, let’s just talk about something else to take your mind off it for the time being.”
Kaneese sighed, and said, “Alright.”
Teddy took a minute to examine the road ahead before he spoke again. “I got some good news on the restaurant.”
“Really! From who, the contractor?”
“Yup. He said everything looks good. We’ll be on time for the grand opening next Wednesday.”
“Baby that’s great. Did you tell your parents?”
“Not yet. I wanted to get our anniversary out of the way first. You know how they get. They’ll want me to take them down there and have me ask the contractor a million questions. I’ll probably just have Misha bring them out there on opening night.”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea. Just tell ‘em and still have your sister bring them down. At least they won’t get on you about having to hear about it from someone else besides you.”
“Well, since you put it like that - I’ll tell ‘em first thing Monday.”
“Are you excited?”
“Excited doesn’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling. Man, Orange Sun is going to be the talk of the town. I can’t wait ‘til Wednesday!”
“Do you have the menu figured out yet?”
“C’mon, Hun. I been had that.” Teddy answered with confidence. “Every chef knows that’s first priority. You can’t just wait until the last day to figure that out.”
“So, is my favorite dish on the menu?”
“Of course it is. As a matter of fact, it’s the special for grand opening.”
Kaneese blushed. Hearing that made her feel honored. “Baby, I’m so proud of you. You’ve been pursuing your passion for a long time now and it’s finally about to pay off. And I know Orange Sun will be the talk of the town because you’re the best at what you do. You treat cooking like an art. I remember the first time you ever cooked for me. She closed her eyes and reminisced. “I’ve never had seafood macaroni, but it had my taste buds going crazy. You definitely have a gift.”
A tear built up in Teddy’s eyes. He felt emotion in Kaneese’s every word. “This isn’t just for me now. You’re very much a part of this also.”
Kaneese looked at him strangely.
“It’s because of you that I’ve gotten this far. You’re belief in me made pursuing my dream more real. You see, when I first thought about opening a restaurant it never really seemed possible. All of the money, which I didn’t have, and time, which was also limited, just kept me dreaming. Until I met you, no one else held my dreams as close to their heart as you.”
“That’s because I know what it’s like to be the only one believing. I never told this to you, but I once had dreams of becoming a photographer.”
“So, what happened?”
“My belief wasn’t strong enough, and I had no one to support me. All my friends and family would say to me, ‘Why you wanna become a photographer? That’s not a job, and it damn sure isn’t a job for a lady.’ Hearing comments like that over and over just shot my dream to pieces.” Her eyes saddened as the memory of burying her dream resurfaced to the edge of her psyche.
“Baby, you should know better than anyone that you can’t allow others to kill your dreams. You taught me that.”
“Too late for that. I put photography on the back burner six years ago now. I don’t even have the passion for it anymore.”
“You never lose your passion. That’s the one thing that no one can take away from you. Yeah, I know sometimes we get discouraged – I can surely attest to that. But no matter what others think about your dreams, they’re your dreams and you have to live them out. Your belief in me made my dream a possibility, and I’m willing to do the same for you.”
One eye swelled followed by the other and Kaneese broke out into a flood of tears.
“C’mon, Hun. Don’t cry. You’re gonna mess u
p your dress.” Teddy tried to make fun of the moment.
“Baby, you don’t know how much that means to me.” She wiped her eyes then reached into the glove box for a tissue. “But I have to be honest. I don’t even know where to begin.”
“How about on grand opening? You can be the official photographer for the night. I’ll even pay you.”
Kaneese looked deeply into the eyes of the man that she had come to love and simply replied. “Okay.” Not only had he given her love but also a second chance at her dream. This gesture made her want to give herself to him even more. She held a smile on her face. “I’m so lucky to have a man like you.”
“And I’m even luckier to have a woman like you.”
Time passed quickly with the flow of the conversation that Kaneese didn’t even notice when Teddy got off the exit to the hotel. She did notice though that they were traveling in the direction of the airport.
“So this is why you told me to pack an overnight bag. You’re flying us off somewhere”
“No.” Teddy answered then moved into the lane headed toward highway 60.
“No? Now this is really starting to bug me.”
“Why are you letting it? I told you to take it off your mind.”
“I did that already, but we’ve been driving for a while now. Just tell me. I don’t want it to be a surprise anymore. I can’t take it.”
“Well you’re gonna have to. Just relax; we’re almost there. We got like five minutes to go.”
The hotel wasn’t too far up ahead, but thanks to the construction taking place it made its presence off to the left of the road unnoticeable. It didn’t matter though. Kaneese wasn’t familiar with the area so she had no clue to look in that direction. She’d been to the hotel once before, but because she was riding in the limo as part of the bridal party for her girlfriend’s wedding a need to pay attention was ignored by the chatter in effect that day.
“Okay, where coming up close so get ready.”
Kaneese looked around. She couldn’t make out anything but more road and mountains of dirt.
