Prologue
Emily
I've immersed myself in the obsession of the Tiger.
I had the feeling of having my virginity stolen. I challenged the most powerful mortal that crossed my existence to experience the Ardent affection.
I made the man of my life taste the bitter taste of an Forced penance.
Finally, I saw a resurgent soul bloom in Larsson Tiger.
But you know what, now I want to see where our love will go. I deeply wish it reaches the infinite apex in the Eros love.
I believe this is the dream of many mortal lovers...
Chapter 1
The night is finally in its heyday.
With great difficulty I walk down some steps of an external staircase in front of the building where I live. My friend Mari walks nervously behind me, holding the huge tail of my wedding dress. She does this to keep it complete and clean until the ceremony of my marriage.
At that moment I don't know who looks more nervous. Me or her?
Finally I see two cars parked in front of us.
- Emily, I'll meet you in the church in a few minutes!
Mari says and holds my hand carefully, looking like my hand is made of porcelain. She looks into my eyes and I smile without any glare back for her. Her hand removes the excess lipstick from my lips and finally she says.
- Emily...there is still time...
Without any fears, I interrupt her.
- Armando is waiting for me at the altar. I will not disappoint him.
- All right...
Mari says and shrugs.
- I hope you never regret that choice.
So Mari turns her back and walks to her boyfriend's car, Rodolfo. Hastily she enters the wine colored car and they go forward in the church's direction.
I stay in the same place. Totally immobilized. The watch hands seem to have stopped working and I seem to have lost track of time. What should I actually do that night.
Without warning, I look down and see the bouquet of red roses in my hand. Immediately I remember it's my wedding. I must get into the silver car and then in the church, where everyone is waiting for me and even my fiancé Armando.
Looking ahead, I see a silver car. There's a well-dressed driver inside. He is wearing a navy blue tuxedo. The man looks at me and descends from the car in a hurry, opening the back door. I realize that he does it for me to go into it at that moment or I will not make it in time for the ceremony.
As soon as I sit in the back seat, the driver smiles weakly and closes the door to my right. He walks around the vehicle and gets into your car too, closes the door and adjusts the seat belt to his body.
Again I look down and see the bouquet of red roses in my hands with white gloves. Then I realize that the car is in motion.
As we walk the asphalt within the city, I feel that my chest becomes narrower. Some kind of agony absorbs me without mercy.
Hey, is my wedding day and I'm feeling the unhappiest woman in the universe.
More unhappy than when I was abandoned on the road by my uncle's loan shark on that damn night.
A few minutes later, I begin to look at the sides and back, while I see part of the city being left behind through the transparent glass of the car.
The traffic light is open and the driver drives the vehicle to his right. My eyes widen as I realize that something is strange. This is not the correct route to actually get to the church in which I'm bound to say yes to Armando.
- What are you doing?
I question with my frightened eyes. I look around and see the city from an unknown angle.
- This is not the right way to get to church!
I complain again. The driver has a thin smile on his lips and looks at me through the rearview.
- Stay calm Miss. I know what I'm doing.
He remains driving with tranquility, as I continue nervous, in constant dissimilar movements. The bouquet of red roses shakes with the oscillations of my hands. Its petals are struggling to arrive complete to the end of the religious ceremony.
Half an hour later, the silver car finally parks in front of a small church, painted white. At the top there is a cross and a bell with its paint faded by time.
The driver opens the car door and I refuse to get out of the car. Thus looking out and seeing the image of the little church in the distance.
- That is not the church in which I should get married!
The driver remains standing by the door.
- Are you crazy? You brought me to the wrong church! Please, take me now to St Peter's Church!
The driver rolls his eyes and takes some time to say something.
- Madam, your fiancé is in that church. He demanded that I bring you here.
Grumbling, I put my foot out of the car. The driver can see my white needle heel. So new because it went there directly from the box.
- I'll kill Armando for this surprise!
The driver looks at my face and smiles.
- Do that after the wedding! Or you will not get to marry.
My head shakes, I see nothing funny in his tone of irony at that moment. However, with difficulty, I pull the huge tail of my dress out of the car.
Slowly I walk toward the main door of the church. It is open. A few guests inside the temple. From afar I realize that the altar and the entrance of the church are decorated with red roses. Then I breathe relieved thinking that over there is the correct location for the ceremony of my marriage.
Promptly when I stop at the door and start walking down the red carpet, an instrumental melody begins to play softly. So I walk with my head up and see the priest standing at the altar, dressed in a white robe and golden details. Further on are the groomsmen.
My forehead wrinkles and crinkles when I realize that the groomsmen are not my groomsmen and they are also not the witnesses of Armando.
Something is wrong.
I try to stop along the way as I look on every face standing before the altar and see Constância alongside Balzak and Olinda next to Caesar. But the groom is not present.
My head shakes from side to side, as I try to turn back and leave the church hastily.
Another scare numbs me when I slowly look back and see at the open door someone standing. Sitting in his wheelchair.
My heart races and I shiver when I realize that Larsson Tiger is coming my way. Guiding his wheelchair on the huge red carpet.
This can only be a dream!
I imagine.
But it is not.

; Soon Larsson's chair stops before the altar, beside me. I'm immobilized by my fear, insecurity and uncertainty of what I'm really doing there. Inside a church that I didn't knew existed.
- What's going on here?
I finally question when my eyes get stuck in the image of Larsson beside me, after I have looked on the face of everyone there.
Larsson pretends not to hear my question and looks ahead to the vicar, thus ordering.
- Please start the ceremony!
- What r u doing?
I mutter between my teeth.
- You kidnapped me to this place! This is a crime! I can put you in jail - I sigh, trying to hold back my tears. - I have a groom waiting for me at the altar on the other side of town! Damn, you're ruining my life again!
The priest opens the Bible and looks at us. His face wrinkles as he has a flea in his ear. He realizes that there is something strange in my conduct before the altar. He never saw a bride behave this way before the temple. Acting as if this was the end of the world.
- Can we start the ceremony?
He questions and immediately I try to say something to end this spectacle staged by Larsson Tiger and his puppets.
With no success, I am prevented from pronounce anything, because the Larsson's voice muffles mine and he says to me secretly.
- Emily, you'll have the right to expose your sweet, soft voice when the priest asks you for the "yes" near the end of the ceremony. Ok?
Seguidamente ele olha adiante e encara o padre a nossa frente.
- Yes, we can begin.
Hearing this, I close my eyes and think that Armando and all our guests are desperate, already noting my absence at the wedding ceremony.
With amateurism and calm, the priest begins the ceremony. His words go unnoticed by me. I really can't concentrate on them. I look like a bride going into a trance. With the passage stamped to Mars or another planet far away from Earth.
Suddenly I realize that the most important moment of the consecration arrives when I hear priest's voice asking with deep seriousness.
- Mr. Larsson Tiger, do you take Miss Emily Fontana to be your lawfully wedded wife?
Larsson looks to his side up to my face. He smiles slightly to me before answering.
- Yes, I accept.
My eyes dilate. He said yes, my God!
Another shock immobilizes me before the altar.
- Miss Emily Fontana, do you take Mr. Larsson Tiger, as your lawful wedded husband?
There's a long silence inside the temple. I look scared to everyone there, that is, even Olinda, Balzak, Constância and Caesar face's. Soon my eyes stops at the fascinating image of Larsson Tiger,, sitting in his wheelchair. He is dressed in a black tuxedo, white shirt, silk bow tie in navy blue color and there's a red rose in his left pocket.
My honey eyes hold in her green eyes. They shine brightly to me. At that moment a tear goes down my face. The image of Larsson, sitting in his wheelchair in front of the altar is the most beautiful scene I've ever seen in my life. This scene sensitizes me, moves me, breaks me in half. Again I go back to be the idiot Emily, totally defeated by the powerful Larsson William Tiger.
- Miss Emily, do you take Mr. Tiger, as your lawful wedded husband?
The priest insists. I look forward to his face and answer with weakness and with no regrets.
-...Yes...I...accept...
At that moment, I look to the side and Larsson looks at me, his eyes and smile repays me a secret thanks. He feels happy with my positive response.
After the exchange of rings the priest says proudly.
- I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU MAN AND WIFE
Chapter 2
All of Larsson's guests come greet us in his mansion. They talk first with Larsson, then head out to me. Finally I get César's greetings.
It's strange when he shakes my hand and some scenes from my past invade my mind. I remember the day he broke into my uncle's house and took me by force from his house, pointing a gun at my head.
Finally I remember the moment he left me on the roadside.
- Congratulations! - He smiles awkwardly. Caesar realizes that I look at him seriously. - Make my friend very happy!
He insists and looking to the side he sees Larsson sitting in his wheelchair. Finally, I shrug my shoulders and smile.
- If it depends on me, he will always be happy.
César approaches Larsson and pats his shoulder a few times.
- Larsson, I think you knew how to choose your wife!
Larsson's eyes move and find my red face. I look so shy.
After some time. César walks to a table and grabs a glass of champagne. My gaze parks on the table and I see some salty snacks, crystal bowls and on the table there is a cake with three floors. But the most interesting is that at the very top of the cake there is a tiger couple made of porcelain. I believe that this couple is symbolizing me and Larsson. I almost smile, it seems funny and innovative at the same time. Larsson really identifies with these animals! They even invade his wedding party.
- I know it's not perfect! This small ceremony was organized at the last minute. - Larsson says.
- I'm loving everything.
I mumble and squeeze my bouquet with my hands.

Hours later
Am I sleeping? And having the most beautiful dream of my life?
I imagine walking slowly across the room. The tail of my dress glides smoothly behind me. I do not see it, but I feel it following the slow, gentle movements of my body. Larsson is before me, sitting in his wheelchair. He is also in his ceremonial costume. Neither he nor I had time to get rid of them yet.
Imagining something good, I try to smile with my lips locked. Finally, I see that now I'm Larsson Tiger's wife. Now we are one, one flesh...
- This is not the honeymoon I dreamed for us both...
Finally Larsson says, raising his arms and looking around, wondering that all that luxury in his room is not worthy of that very special night for both of us. Immediately his green eyes paralyze on my image, standing at some distance from him. He silently watches the white wedding dress, in a mermaid style glued to my body.
I look down to the bouquet in my hand and he continues saying.
- I still don't have the physical structure to support such long trips -
He is interrupted by me, when I lift my head, look in his direction and face the most fascinating and friendly face. The brightness of his eyes goes beyond any honeymoon in the south of the country or out of it.
Thinking that at that moment I could be in a honeymoon with Armando. This causes me chills.
But I don't want to ruin our so special evening after marriage, so I look to one side and try to change my mind. Now Armando is my past. I made a sudden choice, where I have chosen Larsson Tiger as my husband. The man that I want forever. Until the end of my days on Earth.
Larsson smiles showing his white teeth.
- Congratulations Emily Fontana! You really managed to drag me to the altar! - He shakes his head and looks at one side. - I always thought marriage was a nonsense before I met you! I had the world and many women around me. Why should I hold on to a woman if I could have most of them?
There's a silence between us, I lower my head. Larsson's words move me again.
Now he stares me in the face.
- Answer me! What did you do to change my conception of marriage?
I keep watching him.
- Ask it to your heart.
We remain staring each other for some more time, while our voice gives us permission for a longer silence in that partially dark room. Larsson purposely did not want to turn on all the lights.
Chapter 3
The walls of the room seem lighter and lit by the sunlight in the morning.
My shoulders compress and dilate while I force my pair of honey colored eyes to open. When I finally can see something before my blurred vision, I blink and raise my head of Larsson's chest. I look in his face and realize he's still asleep. Lo
oking down I see that I'm still inside my mermaid style wedding dress and Larsson is also dressed in his ceremonial costume. I slide my hand through my messy and loose hair, imagining that we slept in our honeymoon without making love.
However this worries me.
Has Larsson Tiger's sex life worsened with his disability?
It isn't possible!
The first and last time we made love after he injured his spinal cord was so extraordinary. He knew how to turn me on like nobody else. I reached orgasm.
Moments later, I lay my head in the chest of my husband. Yes, because now I can officially call him that way. And try to relax without thinking about diseases, uncertainties and disability. I simply idealize that I have an extraordinary husband lying next to me. The man I love, to whom I swore eternal love.
Without expecting, I feel Larsson's hand lightly stroking my hair. He sighs and I sense his smile touching my scalp.
- Now you are the Mrs. TIGER.
His husky voice says. I smile with happiness. I have the notion of the weight of that word in my life 'Mrs. Tiger'.
- Why are you laughing?
He insists.
I smile again and lay my elbow on the mattress while I try to keep my head above Larsson's face. My eyes seek his.
- Now I believe in Santa Claus and Prince Charming.
Larsson smiled. - Me too.
His hand slides down my dark hair.
- Love now exists in my real world and this is thanks to my friend César.
He confesses. I scrunch my forehead.
- Hmmm. I agree with you. I confess that until yesterday I still had some resentment toward César. But now I see him as a connection between us. Thanks to him, we met and became husband and wife.
