There are very few depictions of this God, for they are considered insulting to him. Those few that do exist are very old, likely dating as far back as the early part of the Second Age and show him as a ram-headed man standing atop a mountain.
His symbol is the ram horn. Gol Mok has no priesthood, and wants no priesthood, leaving that sort of vanity to the other Gods. He considers having mortals fawn on him insulting.
The Divine Gift bestowed upon Blessed of Gol Mok is Shake the Earth. With this awesome Gift, the Blessed gains the ability to cause earthquakes by simply stamping their feet on the ground. All but they and their allies are thrown off balance by the sudden tremors, giving an advantage in battle. More powerful Blessed have been known to open chasms that swallow Demon armies whole.
His Divine Mark is The Ram Head.
Amaron
The Horse god of travel, travelers, and road ways.
Where Asdrid watches over the gates of the High World, Amaron runs the roads that lead to these gates, trampling the Demon Seed under his thunderous hooves. Once a Sky God, he fell in status when man finally tamed the horse and began to see him in the light of a servant. While many Gods would be bitter over this, Amaron long recognized his duty as a servant to the races of the world, and does not see any insult. Perhaps alone among the Gods, he feels the place of the Divine is to serve the needs of mortals, a stance that has garnered him many strange looks from his brothers and sisters.
Amaron is most often depicted as a centaur, and indeed, he is the father of that race. Other depictions show him as a massive war horse with a jet black coat, his human aspect being well muscled and fearless in features.
His symbol is a long, curving line, symbolic of the roads he runs in defense of the High World. Like many Lesser Gods, he has no priesthood, and is quite content with that.
The Divine Gift bestowed upon Blessed of Amaron is Powerful Strike. With this Gift, the Blessed's bare hands and feet become lethal weapons, capable of dealing incredible amounts of damage without leaving so much as a mark on the Blessed. More powerful Blessed have been known to kick down the gates of castles, or knock True Form Demons unconscious with this Gift.
His Divine Mark is The Horse Head.
The Demon Gods
BORN OF THE TRAITOROUS Ker Zet, the Demon Gods rule over the Low World with an iron fist, the terrible terrain of the Demon Plane a place of nightmares and horrors beyond the human imagination. Their sole quest is to storm the gates of the High World and slay the High Gods, taking their place and ruling over creation, turning everything into a mirror of the Low World.
The Demon Gods place their mark on the lower back of those they Bless, so that they may not be discovered with ease and may work to corrupt and destroy without drawing attention to themselves. Many of the Dark Markings are also deliberate corruptions of many of the High Gods symbols, blasphemy on top of blasphemy. Demon Seed have even begun using these marks as the symbols for their evil masters, intentionally causing confusion and contributing to the chaos the Demon Gods foster.
Likewise, the priests of the Demon Gods do not wear sashes, instead carrying a talisman of their god, often a specially formed symbol they can hold or wear, but can be put away if they must operate in secrecy. Some will mimic the sashes of priests of the High Gods, keeping the waters stirred up as much as possible.
Ker Zet
The Black Tiger, thirdborn of Rialda. The Fallen One, traitorous mother of the Demon Gods. Source of all evil. The Black Bitch.
Ker Zet is as evil as she is insane. Thousands upon thousands of years of festering jealousy and greed have warped her spirit and her heart into a bitter, hateful thing that desires only revenge and destruction. Where she once desired only to replace her sister, she now craves the death of both her siblings and their children. Only when she has undone all of creation and put it together in her own image will she be at peace.
Due to the curse placed upon her by Isel, Ker Zet is an unimaginably hideous thing with only her beautiful black tiger face left unmarred. Because of this, it is blasphemy for even her own followers to have depictions of her. She desires no reminder of her twisted image and the great beauty she has lost through her own manipulations and deception.
Ker Zet's symbol is the same as the mark she places upon her Dark Blessed, a black sun. Her priests wear this as a talisman around their neck when performing their dark rituals to her.
The Dark Gift bestowed upon Dark Blessed of Ker Zet is Sow Corruption. Perhaps the ultimate Dark Gift, this power grants the Dark Blessed the ability to corrupt a person, place, or thing to evil with but a word or a touch. Dark Blessed of Ker Zet are among the most dangerous of Demon Seed due to this power alone.
Ratal
The vile Goddess of disease, mother of suffering.
The youngest of Ker Zet's brood, Ratal is perhaps the most insidious. Through her power, she has brought more agony to the Middle World than any other Demon God. Daily, her influence spreads, as disease and pestilence grow. Few hold hope against her power, for it kills without sword or bow, and cares little for what victim it takes. In her realm, deep in the Low World, Ratal laughs upon her throne of decaying flesh and spews forth more filth, wrapped in her own rotting afterbirth.
Few depictions exist of this foul Goddess, but those that do show her as a small, emaciated child, covered in sores and blisters, her skin greenish from illness, wrapped in tattered and dirty clothing. She is most always blind in these depictions, her eyes great, wide white orbs.
Her symbol is the fly, the spreader of disease and eater of filth. Her priests often carry onyx rods with the end carved in the likeness of a fly.
The Dark Gift bestowed upon Dark Blessed of Ratal is Poison Breath. With this Dark Gift, the Dark Blessed becomes a deadly opponent, capable of exhaling a deadly gas that can suffocate, poison, and kill anyone who breathes it. Her Dark Blessed are immune to the toxic cloud, but greatly enjoy luring entire teams of Blessed into small spaces before unleashing it.
Her Dark Mark is The Bone.
Vorger
The dark Lord of chaos.
It is said that peace ended with the first scream of Vorger. His very birth ripped across the fabric of creation, and disturbed all that was. Often referred to as The Mad God, Vorger is consumed with hatred for the orderly nature of things, often screaming from his citadel at the pain it causes him. Of all Ker Zet's children, only Vorger hates creation as much as she does.
Those few depictions of Vorger that even appear as a depiction of him show him as a man might look if he were turned inside out and put together wrong. Many who look upon an image of Vorger feel as if they look at it too long, they will go mad.
His symbol resembles a star with the points turned inside instead of out. It stands for the ultimate destruction of all that is. His priests wear his symbol about a heavy iron chain around their necks.
The Dark Gift bestowed upon Dark Blessed of Vorger is Chaos Warp. This Dark Gift grants the Dark Blessed the ability to manipulate reality at whim, twisting and warping it to meet their own desires. Gravity, direction, and many other concrete laws of physics stop working and become dictated solely by the desire of the Dark Blessed.
His Dark Mark is The Spiral.
Xen Phal
The headless one, God of cannibalism and headhunters.
The savage and callous Xen Phal is easily one of the most violent of the Demon Gods. Born without a head, he was nourished on flesh stuck down his neck by his mother. As time passed, he spread his unsavory diet to others, corrupting them with the forbidden taste. It is said he is ever in search of a head, often using those he finds lying about, placing them upon the withered stump over his shoulders in a vain attempt to be whole.
He is most often depicted as an impossibly hulking being, bulging with muscle, wrapped in the chains Ker Zet uses to control him, his stump of a neck bleeding profusely. Around him the depiction show headless victims, flesh stripped from the bone.
His symbol resembles a tree s
tump, but is said to symbolize the headless nature of the God. Considering the Kobolds sprung from his loins, it is small wonder this symbology makes little sense, or is so crude. His priests carve it into their flesh all the same.
The Dark Gift bestowed upon Dark Blessed of Xen Phal is Feral Attack. Upon activation of this Dark Gift, the Dark Blessed physically reverts to an earlier state, growing savage claws and fangs capable of doing incredible damage. More powerful Dark Blessed also grow bony protrusions from their knees, elbows, head and back, which do even more damage as well and also act as a primitive armor, making them a savage killing machine.
His Dark Mark is The Skull.
Versia
Mother of vampires, Goddess of bloodletting.
Cold, cruel and emotionless, Versia emerged from her mother’s womb still born, yet lived out of pure evil. An undead Goddess, she descended upon the world with a ravenous hunger, spilling blood at every turn as she satiated her thirst. Even now, banished to the Low World, she resides in her dark castle, bathing in blood, the most beautiful of the Demon Gods, perfect in her appearance, but empty inside, desiring only to drink from the High Gods and know what it is to have her hunger sated.
Many depictions exist of Versia, showing her as a white-skinned creature of unspeakable beauty with raven hair and green eyes, dressed in black. Some show her reclining in her blood bath, drinking from a small child.
Her symbol is a teardrop, often painted red, standing for the blood she craves. Her priests wear a ruby, or garnet, cut into the shape of a tear, about their neck, usually on a fine gold chain.
The Dark Gift bestowed upon Dark Blessed of Versia is Raise the Dead. With this terrible gift, the Dark Blessed is able to summon forth undead minions to do their bidding. Blessed of the High Gods seek to stop these Dark Blessed while they are still new to their hellish calling, for more powerful Dark Blessed of Versia are able to call forth entire armies of undead warriors.
Her Dark Mark is Fangs.
Lotok
Father of hunger, intrigue, manipulation and usury.
Perhaps the most sane and stable of the Demon Gods, Lotok looks upon the Middle World as a playground. Greed and paranoia are his tools as he slowly, patiently, works to hammer the world into an image that pleases him. The coin is the weapon by which he stabs his enemy, and drives them to commit acts they otherwise never would. Never the less, he understands all too well the power of destruction and is known to manipulate and scheme the downfall of entire kingdoms, merely for sport.
Depictions of Lotok show him as an old man, hunched with age and greed, seated at a table piled with gold, which he counts endlessly. Others show him standing amidst the starving, holding bread in his hands which he will not give them, unless they do something for him first.
His symbol resembles a one pound weight, like the ones used by merchants. It stands for all he has taken, and the pound of flesh they say it costs to deal with him. His priests often carry a one pound lead weight with them on a chain to show their dedication to their god.
The Dark Gift bestowed upon Dark Blessed of Lotok is Devastate. This Dark Gift is well known, and feared. Every time it is used, something withers and dies. Upon activation, the user of this Gift may choose one thing and have it wither in some way. When used on a person, this means that any physical or mental attribute, such as strength or intelligence, can automatically be taken away until the Dark Gift can be undone. It can be used to destroy marriages, treaties, lay waste to crops, wells and entire tracts of land, and even cause an entire Kingdom’s economy to collapse.
His Dark Mark is The Dagger.
Hammandral
God of torture, giver of pain, eater of bones.
It is said that Hammandral finds the screams of the tormented the sweetest music, the sounds of breaking bones like bells to him. He is considered the most powerful of the Demon Gods, after only Ker Zet herself, for he is the most unstoppable. He sits upon a throne of bones, surrounding himself with the tormented and plots military strategy, dreaming the day when he will stand supreme over the Middle World. He is often considered the opposite of Ramor, and is called by many the General of Hell.
He is shown as a massive man with rippling muscle, his face covered in a death’s head helmet, covered in blood as he sits upon his throne. Other depictions show him similarly, only holding two halves of a man in each hand.
His symbol is a burning brand. It stands for all the pain and suffering he inflicts upon the world. His priest often carve it upon the tools they use in their dark rituals to him.
The Dark Gift bestowed upon Dark Blessed of Hammandral is Cause Pain. This Dark Gift needs only a touch to deliver agonizing pain to its target, even though no physical wound has been incurred. Dark Blessed of Hammandral are well known for using this Gift, then finishing off their opponent as they writhe in agony. However, it has no effect on Blessed of Morobon, making these two mortal enemies.
His Dark Mark is The Ax.
Sifias
Father of lies, God of deceit and treachery.
Born of Ker Zet's own treachery and deceit of her siblings, Sifias takes after his mother well. As with other Demon Gods, he spreads his influence in the most insidious of manners, by starting small. No lie goes unheard by his ear, just as each spark of jealousy is fanned into full flame by his gentle breath, turned to bloodthirsty rage. He relishes in the willful breaking of oaths and as such, is the mortal enemy of Kalis.
Few depictions of this God exist, for it is said he has no true form of his own, changing as whim or need arises. Those few that do exist show him as a man with several faces, each one telling a different lie.
His symbol is a thorn, for it is small, but causes great pain. His priests often wear his symbol about their necks as a pendant.
The Dark Gift bestowed upon Dark Blessed of Sifias is Manipulate Thought. This insidious Dark Gift allows the Dark Blessed to manipulate the very thoughts of anyone who hears him speak. The effects, while not permanent, can be incredibly destructive, especially over repeated listenings.
His Dark Mark is Black Lips.
Balmor
God of eternal life, father of zombies. The Zombie Lord.
Born a ruined mess of a creature, Balmor is the twin brother of Versia. Through hate alone, he survived as an undead God, his decayed body animated by his own evil will. From the Black Plains of the Low World, he rules over the risen dead, sending a never-ending stream of unstoppable warriors into the Middle World on a mad quest to extinguish all life. Only when the World has been turned into a graveyard will Balmor be satisfied. Naturally, he and Terakus are sworn enemies, and he has vowed to turn her into his undead Queen.
The depictions of Balmor show him as man decayed into a ghoulish mess, feasting upon the flesh and bone of others, drinking in their life force to sustain his own. Others show him as a king of a great graveyard that stretches on forever.
His symbol resembles an empty coffin, which is easy enough to understand the significance behind. His priests will often surround themselves with coffins they have broken open for the purpose of their dark rituals.
The Dark Gift bestowed upon Dark Blessed of Balmor is Steal Life Force. Among the most feared of Dark Gifts, this power makes the Dark Blessed a virtual immortal. By siphoning off their opponent’s life force, the Dark Blessed can instantly heal any wounds, stop aging, and become incredibly resistant to pain. The victim of the Dark Gift, however, ages drastically, and often dies, from this Gift.
His Dark Mark is The Mobius.
Warrot
God of coercion, slavery and bondage.
Of all the Demon Gods, Warrot poses the greatest military threat, for it is his Goblins and Hob Goblins that daily bring new slaves into the ranks of the Demon armies. It is Warrot who discovered the secret of turning a Werefolk into a Hellbeast. It is Warrot who still holds sway in many kingdoms, his fist wrapped tightly about the hearts of selfish kings who do not wish to give up either their slaves, or the tax money they gain from t
he slave trade. Warrot is as close to a legally accepted Demon God as exists, and he moves daily to secure that position further.
The depictions of Warrot show him as a ghoulish creature wrapped in chains as if they were bandages. From these chains hang the souls of those he has claimed, screaming in eternal torment.
His symbol is the manacle and chain. His priests use it daily, and have even constructed some mystical chains they claim will counter the effects of the Blessed's Divine Gift.
The Dark Gift bestowed upon Dark Blessed of Warrot is Binding Chains. One of the most disturbing Dark Gifts to see in action, this grants the Dark Blessed the ability to summon forth semi-sentient chains. These barbed and spiked chains, formed of pure Corruption, sprout from the Dark Blessed's body and can be used as extra limbs. The most powerful of Warrot's Blessed are frightening to behold and nearly impossible to stop.
His Dark Mark is Chains.
Ibius
The God of anarchy.
Like his brother, Vorger, Ibius has a deep seated hatred of order. However, he works more carefully to tear it down, poisoning the minds of men against their leaders, and the minds of the leaders against their servants. He revels in turning brother against brother, of starting wars, and ruining empires. He laughs at the bloodshed in the name of freedom as people slaughter their own kind, destroying their own leaders and protectors.
Ibius is often depicted as a twisted old man in a black cloak. Why this depiction, no one is certain, but all who have looked upon the image have felt the pull of its power and it’s suspected that those who craft the images of Ibius weave powerful magic into them, making their appearance meaningless.
