Relief showed in his golden eyes. “You are so perfect.”
Gan appeared surprised. “The Complex worked.”
Ol ran his hand over the side of my face. “It did.”
The experiment had been a success for us.
Gan set me on my feet. And slapped my ass.
I rolled my eyes. Then I peered up at Ol. “Will we stop on Emalo so I can buy the cure I need?”
Ol blinked gradually. “Harley, my mate, you are immortal now. You have no need for a cure.”
I punched a fist into the air. “Yes!”
They both stared.
I shrugged—a little sheepish. “I had to ask.”
Coming to the Complex had been the best decision of my life! I was made whole again in the arms of my enemies. I had finally found my happiness.
I was living.
