Rebuilding the Wolf Page 26

by Erin R Flynn

“I know, I feel the same most of the time,” I muttered, not wanting to make him talk about Ross. Hell, I hurt from the loss of the guy and I barely knew him, but I understood what Virg was going through. I was dealing with a lot of loss too and not only Riley, but Tristan and even Jason. Dain was a lot of it even if he was sort of coming back. “Want to fuck me on pack lands after my morning run?”

“Gods yes,” he groaned as others chuckled at my lightening the mood. He leaned over and kissed me before sitting and joining us while we once again filled someone in on the plan.

“You should be sitting by me if this guy’s coming,” Eugene said, reaching over and dragging me across Brian so I was sitting between them.

“I was sitting on the end for a reason,” I drawled. “Get up and we can switch, but I need the end.” We did and settled seconds before Orson came back with Linus. I jumped to my feet and raced over to the wolf before he could even react, backhanding him and sending him flying. I grabbed the front of his shirt with my shifted hand and dragged him back to the group. “Did I make my point?”

“What point?” he groaned, holding his injured face.

“How did you speak to one of mine? The fairy I’ve sirened? How did you speak to him?”

He winced and lowered his eyes in submission. “I apologize, Alpha. I apologize, Dain. You’re a good guy. I-I didn’t mean—I shouldn’t have spoken to you like that. I don’t have a problem that you’re a fairy. I don’t. I lost my head.”

“Fine,” I forgave when Dain nodded to let it go. “Don’t do it again, and I’d recommend not demanding anything from me.” I went back to my seat, snuggling up with Eugene when he moved his arm around me.

“I apologize for that too, but I had to speak to you before my parents arrive, Alpha,” he muttered, getting to his feet and coming by us. I nodded for him to sit across from us, and he thanked me. “My parents are assholes. My mother especially, as she’s a siren too but has lived a long life hearing that not all sirens are alike and it’s made her…”

“Prickly?” I offered, internally groaning when he nodded.

“How is the right way to tell you that it was important we speak?” he asked carefully. “I thought I was doing it right. I mean, besides what I said to Dain, but that was because he was being a bit flippant like there was nothing I could say you needed to know.”

“I was, but it was your phrasing, which I admit could have been a language barrier,” Dain accepted. “Most tell us and we decide.”

“You haven’t been around and involved directly with the Alpha,” he snapped, and right there was where the issue was.

I held up my hand to cut them both off. “I get it. You thought there was a break in the chain of command and we had too much going on. I appreciate you persisting when you thought I had to know something. That’s smart and good for the pack.” I went to say more but was distracted when firm lips kissed near my ear. “I’m sorry our date is being interrupted, but business comes first.”

“I understand,” Eugene murmured, still kissing my skin. “I’m just having a bit of a pallet cleanse between dishes.”

Linus flinched, looking like he was dying to ask but was smart enough not to. “I’m sorry to interrupt, but you needed to know. I apologize in advance and hope you do not hold my parents’ actions against me.”

“You’re your own man,” I told him, focused on Eugene and moving my leg over his. He went further and pulled me onto his lap. “You’re distracting me.”

“You’re smart and strong enough to handle both,” he teased, meaning it in a dirty way, and we both knew it. “Unless I’m pushing you past your first date limits?”

“Depends if you want to fuck or stick around,” I chuckled.

“I think I want both,” he growled, his lips getting more aggressive on my neck. “I don’t have months of patience like Axel. You’re too delicious. This might be a hopeful setup, but you are much sexier in person than I would have ever thought.”

Oh, he played the game very well, Linus’s interest peaking even more. I ignored him and squirmed on Eugene’s lap until he moaned deeply, my whole body practically vibrating with the force of it.

“Then I’m worth being patient for, aren’t I?”

“Yes, Alpha,” he breathed, moving his hands to my hips and massaging them.

“What do you think your parents will do?” I asked Linus, noting the heat in his eyes but not acknowledging it.

He sighed, seeming to snap out of it. “I don’t know. They’re bitching about being pulled into what they see as ‘trivial,’ but I’m not as stupid as they think me. They’re excited at the idea of branching out in America, which is not something my elder siblings have done.”

I sat with that as I kept eating, keenly aware of Eugene’s hands and body. “Do you think they’d try to take over if I allow this?” I got my answer when Linus shifted in his seat slightly and didn’t want to answer. I glanced over my shoulder at Eugene as his hands started to wander. “If you can’t keep still, rub my back at least. I’m tired and stressed.”

“We can’t have that,” he purred, kissing my cheek before moving his huge mitts to my shoulders.

I swallowed a moan and melted, the man knowing what he was doing. I focused on my dinner and Linus as best as I could. “Anything else? I’m taking you seriously, but Zeno is coming, so I’m not overly worried.”

He blew out a harsh breath. “They don’t respect Zeno in any way, Alpha. My mother for certain. He’s just one of Alena’s harem and nothing because he’s not like you or her. And after all the rumors you’re a kind Alpha, they seem to feel the same about you.”

“Got it. Thanks.” I shrugged when he gave me a look he was worried I didn’t take this more seriously. “I have people underestimate me every day of the week and twice on Sundays, Linus. You’ve done it, and what have you found?”

“You’re not to be fucked with and much more than you seem,” he admitted, bobbing his head. “I understand. I’ll leave you to your date. I just wanted to make sure you were informed before tomorrow even with all you have been through this weekend. They will assume you are distracted, overwhelmed, and will use that. This pack is full of good people, and I couldn’t stand to have my parents taint them.”

I blinked at him and sucked in a harsh breath. “Are you saying your mother might challenge me for power?”

“I wouldn’t put it past her,” he admitted, looking anywhere but at me. “She is rather… But she’s my mother.”

“I understand. I do. Thanks. Go get some rest, and we’ll talk tomorrow.”

“Thank you, Alpha.” He stood, dipping his head to me before leaving.

“Well fuck,” I groaned when he was gone, tossing my fork on my plate hard enough I broke the dish. Whoops.

“Hey, you were trying to do the right thing and not upset any balances,” Brian comforted. “We don’t have the fixation with bloodlines and whatnot here like other countries. Except maybe like the Kennedys, but that’s not exactly a good thing to be one of them anymore anyways.”

“How do you want to play this?” Virg asked.

I picked back up my fork and continued eating, not willing to waste food even if the plate was broke. I had my answer by the time I finished, glancing at Dain. “Can you call every available anyone here for the three sirens to juice up?”

“You’re going to drown her power before she even tries anything?”

“No, she has to know I’m powerful even with all her bluster. We’re going to juice you guys up so she never gets to me. We can use this to make it abundantly clear—”

“That you have your shit together so well people can’t even get near you to try anything,” Virg filled in, nodding. “Smart. Very fucking smart.”

“I have my moments, but it will be a lot, so we better get to it. Who’s on the show tonight?”

“You were supposed to be, but someone was filling in,” Dain replied.

“No, I’ll do it. I can’t in and out
as much power as they can still. If they can handle more of the people with juice, I’ll collect what I can from the human guests and distribute.”

  “And our guests?”

“Yes, they get as much as they can take since they’re acting as Betas and my guards while here. I want Carter and the ancients brimming, as they’re the fastest.” I slid off Eugene’s lap, glancing between him and Axel. “You two are the scariest fuckers for shifters. You in?”

“You’re going to have to fill me in on this ‘juicing’ or whatever, but yeah, I’ll help,” Eugene muttered while Axel nodded.

I shot him a surprised look, and the tiger just shrugged. “My team and I are tight lipped, and Haton hasn’t told anyone specifics about you or how you roll to keep you safe. They know sirens feed, of course, and they all know you are one now, but the rest is locked down.”

“Cool, thanks.” I turned and pulled Eugene’s head down, feeding him power. In a flash we were up and I was lying on the next table over with him between my legs.

“What the fuck was that?” he growled, grinding against me. “I just fucking creamed myself from a kiss, and all I can think about is fucking you until you can’t walk. And then fucking you some more.”

“Kiss me again and find out,” I teased, moaning when he mashed his mouth down to mine. I fed him as much as I could since I needed to feed too. He grunted as he came, grinding his hips against mine in a delicious way. I laughed when he leaned back and ripped off his sweater hard enough I heard seams tear. “Okay, chill out. We’re not having sex right here.”

“Why not?” he growled, his intense eyes flashing something dangerous that my wolf very much liked.

I let my power flare as I kept his gaze. “Because I’m Alpha and I said so. Are you challenging me?”

“No, never,” he whispered, showing me his neck. “I wouldn’t push any woman when she says no. I was asking because it seemed exactly like the path we were on.”

I leaned up and licked his neck before being a brat and rolling out from underneath him in a move I could only do because I was flexible. “I do that all the damn time, Eugene. I share power with my pack to make them stronger. It’s why we have the whole siren show.”

“I don’t know much about that. I’ve been on several longer assignments lately and haven’t had a chance to get caught up on all the gossip and whatnot,” he admitted, his eyes tracking me like a hungry predator. Jesus, he was a lot like Axel in that way, and I seriously enjoyed it.

  And pushing their buttons.

Noah showed up as dinner was being cleared away, already updated on the threat. “I called Remus, Jake, and a few of my friends who were available. Vamps recoup fastest when you take power from us, as all we need is to drink some blood.”

“And we don’t want to feed from the ancients when we’re bulking them up too,” I put together, nodding.

“Right, but I also called Brutus and the art thief brothers since they’ll be with the boys tomorrow and not here. They can help juice, and they have a lot of it. Hagan and Reagan have the boys, and Alok and Tasar are at home plus a bunch of everyone in the neighborhood.”

“Good.” I hugged him and fed heavily when he kissed me. “Thanks for jumping in.”

“I love a good fight,” he reminded me, giving a wink.

Yeah, he really did. It happened when someone fought in the Crusades and was a warrior basically. He was humble enough to know he couldn’t keep up with the ancients though, so it was good he didn’t start shit.

People started arriving and helping. I had swallowed down Noah’s energy I needed and was going for more to help the others. The only issue I had was when one of the visiting sirens—Tamika, who I very much liked—went to feed power to Eugene.

“No, no one feeds them but me,” I ordered from across the club, my voice carrying with how loud I said it.

“Yes, Alpha,” she agreed, dipping her head in apology.

  “Sorry, you didn’t know.”

She wasn’t worried and moved on, but I felt Eugene and Axel’s eyes on me as I headed to catch a shower to get cleaned up so Gayle could easily put on the body paint. I really wasn’t surprised when they joined me.

“Want help?” Axel asked as I undressed.

“Yes, but after all of our chasing, I think I want something more than a quickie in the shower our first time. Don’t you?”

“Yes, because what I have planned for our first time will take all night long,” he purred as he buried his face in my hair. “All. Fucking. Night.”

Wow, I was pretty sure that was what every woman wanted to hear from her future lover. Nice.

  20

I shivered with desire, all wound up from the power. I turned in his arms and fed him as much as he could handle. He moaned and orgasmed on me. “Bad tiger, I’m supposed to be getting clean, not dirtier.”

“You did it,” he growled, yanking off my clothes. “I’ll replace them.”

I didn’t even have to ask, as I had a few men in my life that loved ripping panties, thongs, bras, and just about any undergarment off of me. I gasped from the force with which he did it though… And feeling four hands on me instead of two.

“May I join you?” Eugene whispered as he nibbled on my ear.

  “Yes.”

“No sex yet, I get it,” he assured me. “I have plans that would take too long as well. You’re worth nothing less than that.”

  “Good.”

“Fuck, you are so wet,” Axel moaned as his fingers moved between my legs, working my body in a delicious way.

“Shit,” I hissed as they each pushed a large finger inside of me together. “Oh fuck, this is fun. Shit, I’ve never been sandwiched between mountains. Slow is good. Foreplay is good.” I mewled and rocked my body between them as they lifted me up to get better leverage. They moved their fingers together and then rotated, both growling when I came hard, begging for more.

“Lick her. I’ll hold her,” Eugene said, and Axel knelt down as the wolf held me wide for his friend, my arms wrapped back around his neck.

“Rub against my back and grind me on his face,” I demanded, both of us moaning as his dick moved against me. Holy crap, he was huge. So was Axel, I mean, at seven feet, yeah, he would be big. He was actually as big as Luca who had a shockingly big dick for his height and everyone teased him for it.

But I hadn’t seen Eugene undress. I honestly could only imagine what it looked like from what I was feeling. And it was feeling massive. I shivered at the idea of it inside of me, both of them inside of me even, but I knew I wasn’t anywhere near able to handle that.

Hell, two of their fingers had stretched me pretty well.

“Fucking love tiger tongue,” I whimpered as I moved as Eugene did, Axel giving me more of it. “Was it worth the wait, my tiger?”

“Yes, my Alpha,” he moaned against me. I finished with a scream, kissing Eugene and feeding him power to curb my reaction. He finished on my back, and I got flashes from him that left me shocked.

  “You’re not a wolf.”

“I am,” he promised, his lips twitching when I gave him a look that I wanted to call bullshit.

“What I just saw in your head was like a fucking horse. You’re not a wolf like my pack.”

“No, but neither are you,” he reminded me. “I’m a dire wolf.”

“Wow, those are extinct in the wild, right?”

“Yeah, and there aren’t all that many of us left as shifters either.” His tone said clearly to drop it, so I did.

“Guess that explains why you’re so huge,” I muttered, unsure of how to get back to fun.

“Want to see just how big I am?” he teased, his eyes filling with heat. He tossed me up when I nodded, Axel snagging me from the air and holding me to him.

“Oh, you guys have played together before if you have that move down,” I drawled.

“Yeah, well, we tend to be attracted to the same type of woman,” Axel admitted. “However, you are not our normal type, so I th
ought it would be fine.”

Eugene snorted. “And yet you immediately called me off of her. Yeah, you thought it was fine my ass.” He focused on me then. “And we tend to play and share meaningless fucks. You are a whole different story, so don’t think this is some shtick we’re pulling on you. Neither of us are patient and scratch itches. You are worth being patient for.”

“Thank you for clarifying.” Once we had that settled, I looked down to where his hand was moving and wanted to clench my thighs together. “That will not fit inside of me. Even Luca can’t fully fit in me really. Axel won’t, and you’re even bigger.” He wasn’t longer, I didn’t think, but he was fatter. “Shit, that will rip me up.”

“Not when I do it right,” he promised, leaning in and kissing me as his hand moved up and down his dick, his knuckles rubbing between my legs as he moved. “You smell like me now. Can I mark you again?”

“I can suffer through that,” I teased, enjoying the show. “You better make it a good one though if you want me to watch you.”

He cupped his sac and squeezed it as he pumped faster. “I so want to fuck you.”

“Clearly,” I chuckled, gasping when Axel slid a finger between my legs and then into my ass. “Careful.”

“I know, you’re new to this,” he muttered, kissing along my neck.

“I am, thank you for remembering. The voyeur watching will appreciate that care too.” They both flinched, and I smiled. “Oh, great guards. You got all into this and didn’t notice someone joined us?”

“He’s human,” Eugene defended. “He’s big and badass FBI, I get that, but to us, he doesn’t register as a threat.”

“Which is why I made sure to come in when I knew you’d be having fun,” Brian said from across the room. “All of your egos need to get a reality check because human or not, if someone walked into here with a shotgun with gold birdshot, none of you would be recovering from that anytime soon.”

“I see why you keep him around,” Axel admitted.
