“Now we would gladly swear allegiance to you, Alpha Thomas,” he panted, his chest heaving. “We would be anything you wanted, do anything you asked of us.”
“Be anything you needed, help however we could,” I continued, shivering again as I confessed what we’d found out just that morning. “We’ve checked into what you’re doing through the grapevine, helping those women, fighting what Engle’s doing in the pack. We’re in. He’s a monster. The pack is supposed to be family, not a bunch of bullies that beat on their own.”
“Who knew coming to Quantico could help me in so many ways?” she chuckled, trying to reach Hagan’s neck, and growled. “You’re too tall.”
“Yes, Alpha.” Hagan immediately leaned over. She licked up his neck as she pushed aside his BDU jacket and slid her hand under his shirt, and I got enough of her energy to get our answer.
“Fuck, I told you she was a siren,” I hissed, moving closer before I could even stop myself. “I told you.”
“I know, you were right,” Hagan moaned, trembling, but she froze. “You have nothing to fear from us, Alpha. We were stationed at NSA Souda Bay, and we know Alena Dorcus. Rumor has it that the bust that got you hurt was with her son.”
“It was. She, Zeno, and I have discussed it and are friends. They didn’t know of his crimes,” she clarified, her tone worried.
She didn’t have a damn thing to fear from us besides if we might stalk her.
“It was better that you did the job of putting him down then so they didn’t have to, though I’m sorry things turned out like this for you, Alpha,” I murmured.
She turned to greet me as Hagan molded himself to her back, kissing her neck as her hands cupped my ass.
“So you accept what I am?” she checked as I lowered my head after she licked me. My whole body was on fire after that, and I could barely keep up with what she was saying, my hands itching to tear off her clothes and please her. “You know I can’t ever be monogamous and mated?”
“Monogamy is overrated,” I growled before kissing her. Oh good gods, her lips were softer and more supple than they looked. I moaned deeply as she kissed me back, her hands on me sparking more flames for her, and I knew I was sunk. All my years waiting to feel something real, something hot, and I finally did and I was sure it was going to burn me up.
What a way to go.
“Accept us, Alpha,” Hagan begged as he lifted her skirt. “We will serve you, help you run the pack, and bring it back to its former glory. We don’t want to be Alphas. We like taking orders.”
I kept kissing her as I felt her energy creep along my skin. She probably didn’t even know she was doing it, but my wolf and I were an open book to her, moaning as I moved my hands over her waist and hips.
“I don’t know that I’m taking over the pack,” she admitted as she moved into our hands and angled her body better for us. Fuck, she was perfect. “I sovereigned a vampire by accident. I’m much newer than Alena. I don’t know what I’m even doing, guys. I can’t rule a pack.”
“We can help you. We’ll be your Betas, protectors, everything,” I swore as my hands pulled out her shirt and moved under her bra. Fuck! Her breasts were real and perfect, and I was about to cream myself just from touching them. I wanted to kiss every inch of her and her tits, but instead, we kissed either side of her neck to not overwhelm her or treat her like some cheap fling.
Hagan’s hands moved from trying to get at her breasts when I wouldn’t let them go, and she made a happy noise, so I assumed they went somewhere good. “Let us show you that we will be yours.”
“Uh-huh,” she moaned, offering all of herself to us and the pleasure we wanted to give her, which was so fucking sexy.
I tweaked her nipples and then decided I needed more, moving my hand between her legs, only to find Hagan already there. He smirked at me over her shoulder, and I just rolled my eyes. I teased her clit as he pushed his fingers in and out of her. She whimpered and moaned beautifully, and I found myself angry that whoever her lover was wasn’t taking care of her as he should.
She should be worshipped day and night. Who was this asshole that she was so wound up and needing attention? Part of me hoped it was because it was us, but I doubted we were that lucky. Maybe he wasn’t a wolf and she wasn’t used to how it could be with shifters of the same species?
Shit, my wolf wanted to yip at that, hoping we could show her.
She whimpered as she came, and I kissed her, letting her feel every ounce of desire for her. Her tongue against mine made me think of dirty, dirty things I knew I would probably never experience from an Alpha as powerful as her. But fuck, as a man I wanted it.
I wanted her.
Her whole body shook from the waves of her orgasm, and my nostrils flared at the incredible scent of her. As she recovered, I brought my wet fingers to my lips, noting Hagan did the same, and tasted her. Shit, she even tasted sweet.
She was so mine, and I didn’t care what I had to do to get her, how many I had to share her with. She was mine from that moment on.
She just didn’t know it yet.
“You make a compelling offer,” she chuckled as she came back down from her orgasm. She was adorable as she nervously fixed her clothes, not able to meet our eyes as she moved away. “Look, I won’t promise I’m going to take over the pack, but I will clean it up and set things to rights. I can’t have what’s been going on continue in my city with me in the FBI.” We nodded, knowing it was a matter of time until she did. “Engle’s been sending the weakest wolves to attack women to drive up the pack’s female numbers.”
“What?” Hagan snarled, his eyes shifting to his wolf’s. I had about the same reaction. We’d heard she was helping women of the pack get away from their abusive mates. Chicago was way, way more fucked up than we’d thought. “That asshole needs to die.”
“Die?” she gasped, stumbling back from us like she realized we were bad guys. “Who said anything about murder?”
We shook off our wolves and shared a glance, realizing she was seriously and dangerously behind. I cleared my throat before answering. “Chief Thomas, taking over the pack is a dominance fight to the death. The challenge for Alpha is the ultimate challenge, or every idiot would fight their way up the pack and make it. That’s all the Alpha would be dealing with.”
“Kill Engle,” she rasped, sounding destroyed at the idea. She turned to the sinks and braced her hands on the counter. My wolf whimpered that we’d upset her, but she had to know the truth. “No one said anything about having to kill Engle, not in all the talks or people pushing me to take over. No one told me that.”
“We’re sorry,” Hagan murmured as he rubbed her back. “We’re very sorry, Chief Thomas. It’s the only way to keep him from retaliating or dividing the pack after a new Alpha wins.”
She nodded, her voice sounding a bit distant and overwhelmed. “How long until you’re both out?”
I wet some paper towels for her, and she accepted them as she stood back up. “A few weeks. Just after the full moon.”
She used them to cool off, like she might need to sit down, and I worried if she was going to be able to do what she needed to. It was a lot to be a new wolf, and even considering taking over a pack as large as Chicago was honestly nuts. “Come to Chicago. I can’t promise to take over the pack, but I’ll talk to Alena, verify what you guys have said, we’ll talk, get you settled somewhere you can call home. We’ll fix the pack and figure out something. I could definitely use the help. Is that enough for you both for now?”
We shared another glance before Hagan moved closer and kissed her neck. “Would we also at the minimum have the chance to be your moon mates, Seraphine?”
“We meant what we said about being everything you need and pledging ourselves to you, being your wolves,” I growled as I mirrored his actions.
“Yeah, I’m sure moon mates wouldn’t be a problem,” she moaned, accepting our attention. “But more than that I’m not sirening anyone else. I already have a vampire an
d a wolf by accident. My life is complicated.”
We instantly moved away so we didn’t overwhelm her, Hagan replying. “We want to help, not complicate.”
We slipped out of the bathroom first, and my wolf was whimpering at leaving her, not protecting her and staying with her always.
“I think I just found my mate,” I admitted after we slipped into the lecture hall.
“Me too,” Hagan said firmly, giving me a look he wasn’t kidding.
I nodded. He was a player where I wasn’t, but I could understand being serious about her. Fuck, I was. If we had to share her to have her, I didn’t care. I just wanted her. Maybe our being twins and getting both of us would help win her over.
“We should see about getting out early,” I worried. “She’s neck deep in danger, and she’s not even close to knowing what she needs to.”
“Smart. I’ll talk to people and see who we’d need to go to make that happen.”
“I don’t like her leaving without us.”
“Amen, Brother, amen.”
Glad I wasn’t the only one who was overwhelmed and completely sunk for the angel that was Seraphine Thomas. That night and every night after that, I dreamed of her. I dreamed of her in every way, not just sexual. I dreamed of her being my mate and things I didn’t even think I wanted like having babies and just everything. I wanted everything with her.
I wanted her, and I knew from the moment I met her, I always would.
