“Don’t mind Tommy,” Faith said as she stood on her toes and kissed his cheek. “He’s just upset that as a Conri in disgrace that he’s no longer invited.”
“I am not in disgrace,” he said stiffly.
“You mated a fox. Those pureblood Conri genes are going to waste,” Faith teased. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
She gave him another smile and Rylee could feel her heart melting. She probably looked like that when she even thought about Cole.
Rylee bumped her shoulder against her own mate. “You’ll need a tux.”
Cole frowned. “Not a fucking chance.”
“I don’t know... A tattooed bad boy, all cleaned up? That sounds pretty delicious.”
He grabbed her wrist and started toward the edge of the square. “Cole!” she laughed. “Where are we going?”
He threw a glance over his shoulder. “We can probably throw a rock through the formal wear shop and nab something while everyone is distracted.”
Rylee laughed, aghast, but let her bear lead her away. She could always pay for any damage later if he was truly serious.
