For now.
Rory was someone new to both of us. She was in the same “sweet” category as Avery, but tonight she’d been vying for a championship medal in champagne drinking and was definitely too toasty to drive. In a jacked-up show of swagger, Jake had asked her on a date, but I’d seen the way Rory looked at someone else, he didn’t have a chance. He’d always been slightly oblivious to real feelings, which would catch up to him someday but not tonight.
Avery joined me. She touched Rory’s arm. “It was nice to meet you, Rory. Hope to see you around Jessen Auto Mall sometime. I’ll text you for the movie.”
The girls had all hit it off, planning a night to watch Sleeping Beauty. Rory’s family owned Jessen Auto, but she didn’t seem too excited about it.
“I don’t make its to the dealership verys often, but maybe I’ll takes Dad to lunch during winter break.” Rory started to lean too far to the left, and Jake righted her.
“I’ll text both of you to get together soon for movies,” Avery reminded both of the girls. I helped her with her coat and grabbed her hand.
“Ready?”
“Yeah.” She gave a squeeze.
We gave our good-byes and headed out to my truck. A new storm was headed into the area, and the temperature had actually risen a little. The drive was a mist of tiny flakes brushing over the windshield.
I pulled next to her car in front of her apartment.
“Avery, I want to ask you something.”
She inhaled. “What?”
“My lease is up in February. I was planning on just going month to month, but since your roommate isn’t coming back and is staying in California … and this location is only a five minute drive to VSI, I was thinking…”
“Yes, please.”
“You’re sure?”
She scooted across the seat. “I’ve really never been more sure of anything. I’d love to have you living with me.”
“Not sure your brothers are going to love the idea, so…” I pulled a square box from my jacket.
Her already nickel-sized eyes widened to almost quarters. “Oh, my God.”
“Now, it’s not what you’re probably thinking, but I wanted to give you this before Christmas next week so your family can see how much you mean to me and how much I can’t wait to spend my life with you.”
She wiped a tear. “You mean more to me than I ever imagined someone could.”
I opened the box. “It’s a promise ring, blue topaz and a couple of small diamonds, but not the big diamond.” Hopefully that one would come soon, too, but this was the right one for now. I slipped the ring onto her finger. Aidan had done me a solid and “secretly borrowed” one of her rings, and he’d helped me pick the ring out. “That’s the same color as your beautiful eyes.”
She examined the ring in the interior lights of the truck, the gems sparkling like the falling snow outside. “It’s gorgeous.” She pecked my lips and I squeezed her tight.
“This is my promise to you that nothing will come between us. That no one will be more important to me than you. And that I’ll never tell you what to do or how to do it, but if you ever want to talk something out, I’m here for you.” I kissed her cheek. “I promise, Sweetheart.”
Her glossy eyes stared at the ring. It wasn’t the Hope Diamond, but it fit her finger perfectly, and it said what I wanted it to.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy, Bryson.” Her lips brushed over mine again. “You want to stay the night?”
“Is Aidan here?”
“Nope.” Her eyes lit up. “Just you and me.”
I slid out and helped her to do the same. Inside the apartment, I glanced around at the changes. Her roommate’s figurines and pictures were all boxed up. Some of the furniture was gone, and the place seemed kind of lonely.
Enter me.
She grabbed my hand. “Want to consummate that promise?”
My heart pounded a primal rhythm. She tugged me and walked backward. The way that dress slithered along her body made my chest tighten, and my dress pants seem a little tight in one area.
“Bry, I bought a present for you, too.”
Forcing myself from the staring stupor, I shook my head as she walked to the closet. She slinked around the corner, and I waited.
Every second ticked off longer than the last, even if that wasn’t possible.
“Bry…” her voice was timid and soft.
I raised my gaze to her voice and my mouth dried instantly at the vision.
Now that’s a present.
A million guesses and I wouldn’t have come close to what I was seeing.
The heels she’d slipped on made us almost the same height. Those curls that had been on her head jumbled around her shoulders in a messy way, and her smile was adorably timid. But the black and red, lace and leather, sweet and heat, slinky little number she had on almost dropped me to my knees and was not bashful at all. Tiny bows were tied everywhere, hiding treats to be explored. Bows on nipples, the crotch, the sides of the thong … on nipples.
Fuck, that’s a really great present.
My crotch ached in a way I’d never experienced, something between pounding and pleading. He was ready, but I needed more time to take it all in.
All of it.
My silence extended, and her eyebrows peaked.
“You don’t like it?”
I swallowed what was a lump of excitement and rasped out, “Shit, I can barely breathe to talk, Avery.” I tried to collect myself. “I love it.” My brain seemed to be having some sort of electrical imbalance, words coming in jolts. “Sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.”
“Are you ready to open your present?”
“Like you wouldn’t fucking believe.” I reached out and traced down her neck between the pushed-up curve of her breast, and she closed her eyes. My finger stroked slowly, grazing and snaking over her snowy skin.
“Bryson, I want tonight to be less about connecting and more about…”—she looked up at me through hooded eyes—“about fucking.”
My hand stopped as my fingers glided onto her tattoo. “Hard and fast?”
Her breaths chopped in and out. “Yes, please.”
Fuck me.
“How expensive is this present?” Didn’t want to ruin something that she’d worked hard for.
“Expensive, but not irreplaceable.”
“Thank God.”
She giggled, but when I pulled her back into my front she moaned.
“Can you feel what you do to me?”
“I feel it. I feel it all.”
Pushing her hair to one side, I grasped her breasts in my hands, firmly, holding the roundness. My tongue explored the outside of her exposed ear, down to her earlobe and biting lightly. Her legs wobbled, and she reached behind her to hold onto me.
“You’re sure you want it hard?” I whispered in her ear.
She nodded her breathing almost at a running pace.
“You’re sure you want it fast?” I stepped around her, my hand trailing along her round bottom.
Her eyes pleaded to me, but I needed to hear her to make sure we were on the same page.
“Sweetheart, I need to hear it.”
“Please, Bryson, take me hard and fast.”
I picked her up and lay her on her stomach on the bed, my body resting on the back of hers lightly. The scent of her cinnamon-scented lotion intoxicated me. My fingers made quick work of the red ribbon on her right hip and the one on her left hip, while I trailed my lips down her back, my teeth grazing her silky skin. In my sliding movement, the back portion of the bottoms had slid down and her ass was bared. I tenderly bit each of her cheeks, and she moaned into the bedding.
“Tell me if something doesn’t feel good.”
“It all feels good.”
I slipped my head lower and her juices slipped onto my tongue. I’d be damned if this wouldn’t be a good showing. That blowjob had undone me quickly, but I wanted to savor tonight.
Well, in a fast and
hard way.
I slipped a hand between her legs and found that hard nub of pink. She writhed on the bed. The slickness on my hand acted as lubricant as I teased that nerve-filled bundle, circling slowly, then faster. Listening to her and what it was doing to her had my cock jumping in my pants.
Ready for duty, sir.
Her hands fisted above her head into the silky comforter, every moan and pant reminding me that she deserved more.
“Yes, Bryson, that’s just right. Please, please…”
I couldn’t take much more. I stripped my pants and shirt quickly. I stroked my cock, not that it needed encouragement to rise to the occasion. Climbing onto the bed, I lifted her hips, raising her to her elbows, watching those panties slip away. And in one smooth movement, I sank slowly into her body, the warmth and slickness a sensation I’d never experienced. I almost forgot what the hell I was doing, until she moaned and rocked her body into mine, taking control.
“Bry, I’m close, faster.”
I grasped the place where her waist dipped in so elegantly and started a pounding rhythm. Long drives that had me holding the edge of a cliff that could take me at any minute radiated through my groin.
“Fuck, Avery, you’re so damn hot inside, like a volcano.”
Her head twisted and the red mess of hair flipped over to the other side. “You’re like steel covered in a satiny silk. Feels fantastic.” In a few more strokes, her body started to convulse, and her pillowy insides clutched me in a quivering vise.
That’s all I needed. My body met hers with a series of frantic drives, and the edge of no turning back appeared, and I crashed hard. I ground into her a couple more times as my cock continued to pulse, perfect and powerful. I’d never gone without protection before, even when she’d said I could, but this made the waiting worth it. I hadn’t been sure she was in the right place, but now she was in the right place.
Right here. Right now.
I pulled her into my body.
“I think you liked your gift.” She snuggled close.
Best gift ever, Red Ribbons.
