The Models (Leashes & Lace Book 7) Page 8

by Shaw Montgomery

Aiming a sly look in Roman’s direction, Eli perked up. “We have a flogger that hasn’t been used in ages.”

I had a feeling it wouldn’t stay unused for long.

“Okay, I have to go save Preston. For some reason Roman is very frustrated with people being late tonight.” Eli rolled his eyes. “We’re lucky everyone stopped having sex long enough to show up.”

With that, Eli danced off, making sure the skirt of his dress waved as he walked.

“Does he think we’re so busy that we only have Friday night to fuck or does he think we’re all doing nothing but having sex every minute we’re not working?” Houston’s sincerely asked question made me grin.

“No idea.” I shrugged as I snuggled up next to Houston. “Knowing him, it’s possibly both in some odd way.”

And if we made him explain it then it would all seem terribly rational.

Houston huffed, then chuckled as he wrapped his arms around me. “Come on. Let’s say hi to everyone. Wilder looks like he’s one step away from drawing on the walls.”

Houston thought the more artistic ones among us were all a little odd.

  He was probably right.

After another ten minutes or so of drinking and chatting with everyone, Roman cleared his throat, making all of us turn. Well, all of the models who knew that sound, but everyone else quickly followed.

We were basically well-trained puppies at this point.

Eli was looking at him curiously, like he didn’t know what Roman was going to say either. That had a spark of inspiration flaring in the back of my mind, but I refused to let my imagination wander and speculate. But judging by the number of us exchanging looks, I wasn’t the only one who was quickly becoming very curious.

“Thank you all for coming to hang out with us tonight.” Roman gave Eli a teasing glare. “Unlike some people who think you have nothing to do on Friday night but have sex, I realize that most of you are very busy.”

As we chuckled, Eli shrugged. “You know I’m right.”

He probably was, but Roman wasn’t willing to concede the point. Snorting, he wrapped his arms around Eli, ignoring the side comment. “I know I was very vague with most of you.”

Someone from the back of the room cleared their throat. “I think the word you’re looking for is demanding.”

Waves of laughter rippled through the room as Roman rolled his eyes.

When we were all relaxed and smiling again, Roman continued. “I had a very specific reason for asking you here tonight.”

He gave us a glare when he said “asking,” almost daring us to contradict him, which sent more giggles through the room.

Eli’s expression was getting more and more interesting. He clearly had no idea what Roman was up to and I could see his brain going ninety miles an hour trying to catch up.

Roman continued, still ignoring the smiles and questioning glances. “As most of you know, Eli and I had a bit of a rocky start, but I have to admit, I can’t imagine anyone else fitting into my life more perfectly than my brat.”

A smile split Eli’s face as he turned in Roman’s arms. He was quiet, but that smile quickly turned into a knowing grin.

Roman’s focus shifted to Eli. “Brat, I love your uniqueness and your drive. I love how passionate you are and the way you fight for what you want. Earning your submission and love has made me a better man and a better photographer. You mean the world to me.”

Eli melted into his arms, tucking himself against Roman as the rest of us held our breath in anticipation. It was like the world stopped for those few seconds.

“My beautiful partner. My sexy Brat. Will you marry me?” Roman had barely gotten the words out before Eli had wrapped his arms around Roman.

“Yes!” Kissing Roman as everyone in the room clapped, Eli pulled back. “You’ve made me wait forever.”

Roman rolled his eyes. “Sparkly surprises aren’t always quick ones.”

Eli’s eyes widened, but before he could demand anything, Roman stepped away and pulled something out of his back pocket. “I couldn’t find a traditional ring that felt right, so I had a friend make something.”

Eli sighed and actually seemed speechless as Roman reached for his hand and slid the ring on. From what I could see it was a good-sized diamond surrounded by a circle of smaller pink stones set in a silver band. Roman was right. It was very sparkly and very Eli.

As it slid on his finger, Eli started to tear up, but Roman shook his head. “I’m not done, Brat.”

Eli was barely holding back all the drama that wanted to explode out of him, but Roman was giving him a stern look. “Kneel for me, Brat.”

We were all back to holding our breath as Eli sank to his knees, the skirt billowing around him. Roman stroked his head with one hand and reached into his other back pocket with his free one. “I know this is not going to be a short engagement once you get started planning, so until we get to that point, I’m going to give the world another symbol of how much you mean to me.”

In his hand was a shiny silver collar. The band was smooth as he turned it, and tiny diamond-looking stones shone at the front. It wasn’t until Roman wrapped the collar around Eli’s neck and stroked the sparkly stones that I realized they formed a letter.

“B for my Brat…my loving boy who gives his Master everything…all his love and all his trust.” Roman kneeled down and took Eli’s face in his hands, kissing him tenderly. “Will you accept not only my ring, but my collar as well and be mine in all ways, for all time?”

All we had to see was Eli’s nod as he started crying and throwing himself at Roman before we started clapping. Whatever he said was drowned out in the cheers and excitement. Seeing them come together like this after all the drama and pain made everything worth it. As they held each other, it was almost like a new chapter in all of our lives was beginning.

Houston wrapped his arms around me and pulled my back against his chest. Kissing my cheek, he held me tight. “I’m picturing something a bit more intimate.”

I froze, then lifted my head, turning it so I could see his smiling face. “We’re not as flashy as he is. This was very Eli.”

Houston kissed me again. “You know, I always liked the idea of a destination wedding.”

Turning in his embrace, I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a passionate kiss. “I think I could be talked into that. Of course, you’re going to have to bring it up again at a fancy, intimate dinner.”

Houston grinned, giving me a quick peck. “I make fabulous reservations.”

Trying not to laugh, I returned his peck. “I’ll be waiting.”

I’d wait forever for him if that was what it would take…but the look of love and tender ownership on his face said I wouldn’t be waiting for long.

The main series for Leashes & Lace is done, but keep an eye out for more books with the pups…and don’t forget, they have a wedding to plan.

M.A. Innes and Shaw Montgomery are two sides to the same squirrely brain. M.A Innes is the part of my imagination that leads to kinky and curious things like age play and puppy play. Shaw is the aspect that likes sweet BDSM but isn’t taboo in nature.
