I feel truly alone.
Suddenly, a door bursts open at the back of the kitchen.
The doorway is filled with the glow of nearby headlights; they illuminate a heavenly figure, as curvy as the sea on a stormy day. I hold my breath as the figure shuffles, frantically, into the kitchen and away from the light. I finally see her face and my heart starts to race.
It’s Annie!

Annie
I search the back of the kitchen for the charcuterie board that Lucy insists we left behind.
I don’t mind that she tasked me with finding it. The kitchen and the banquet are quiet and empty now; I actually like the feeling of being alone in big rooms that were once so busy.
She’s waiting for me in the van out back. I’m sure I won’t be long. I scan the counters, looking for the piece of wood we use to serve our meats and cheeses.
I finally spot it, just ahead, by a kitchen sink. I can hear the clanging of the dishwasher at the far end of the kitchen as I shuffle over to the board.
It’s heavy, but I’m a strong girl. I pick it up and place it under my arm and then quickly turn back around, ready to head out to Lucy and the van. Tonight has been stressful. I’ll be happy to just slink into my couch and drift off to sleep.
Fate clearly has other plans for me, though, because when I turn around, I’m greeted by the large, muscular chest of a towering man.
I drop the charcuterie board and it rattles on the cold, hard kitchen tiles below.
“I’m sorry to startle you again,” I hear a familiar voice say.
I look up.
It’s Jayden!
He’s no more than a foot away from me. I only go up to his hulking chest. I have an awe-inspiring view of his chiselled jaw. His manly musk wafts into my nostrils and fills me with a warm, electric tingling that hardens my nipples and sends swarms of butterflies fluttering through my stomach.
He’s so muscular that his tight dress shirt is nearly splitting at the seams.
“It’s... It’s fine,” I whisper, completely overwhelmed.
I bend down to pick up the charcuterie board from the floor. I can hardly bear to keep eye contact; his gaze is so intense. His pants are tight. I swear I can see the outline of something huge lurking below his beltline.
“Let me help you with that,” he says. His voice is so deep and gruff that it sends hot shivers down my arms. I have goosebumps as his big, burly hands grab the wooden board. I can feel the heat of his skin next to mine while we both lift it up. He takes it from me and sets it aside, on the kitchen counter beside us.
There’s a tense pause between us. The air is thick with electricity.
I finally break the silence.
“I’m sorry about my friend, earlier,” I whisper.
Jayden just chuckles.
“It was just nice seeing you,” he says. “It’s been too long.”
I try to look up at him but he’s so sexy I can hardly handle it.
My chest heaves and my face is hot. I’m worried I’m blushing.
“It was nice seeing you too,” I whisper.
“I’d like to see more of you,” he growls, as he steps even closer.
I swallow. My loins tingle. I can feel myself starting to get wet.
Does he mean he wants to take me out on a date sometime, or does he want to see me naked right now?
I’d let him have both.
My whole body feels like it’s being pulled in by his hunky gravity.
“I... I’d like that,” I manage to whisper.
“I...” he pauses, and the sexual tension between us feels strong enough to break the entire room. “I like you.”
I feel my eyes pull up from his chest until were gazing right into each other’s souls. My legs are quivering. I feel weak. I want to collapse into his big strong arms.
He closes his eyes and leans down to me. I close my eyes and stand on my tiptoes. I feel his wet lips meet mine. The kiss sends a shockwave of sensual warmth coursing through my body. I go completely limp. I don’t fall, though. Jayden wraps his big, muscular arms around my soft, curvy body and holds me tight.
I push into him and feel the hardness in his pants throb alive against me.
I melt for him.
Our kiss is full of passion and lust. All of my stress and embarrassment washes away. I’m empty now and ready to be filled up with Jayden’s love.
I rub against him. He can have me however he wants.
I’m all his.

Jayden
Her lips are so soft and wet. Annie’s curves are plump and thick and my strong hands sink into her skin until I’m so hard I worry my pants might rip apart.
She pushes, lustfully into me and I push back. I grab her ass and push her against the kitchen sink behind us. Our tongues wander out and meet for the first time. I can hardly believe this is happening. Of all the firsts that I’ve experienced today, this is the best. Being drafted pales in comparison to the exhilaration of finally getting to kiss my first love.
I squeeze her curves and explore her body. It’s not long before she’s wrapped her legs around my waist. I start to kiss down her neck. She sighs and her breathy voice echoes across the empty kitchen.
I unbutton the top of her catering uniform and kiss towards her big chest. I’ve always wanted to see her huge breasts, naked and free. Now’s my chance.
I rip open her shirt and the warmth of her bosom fills my flared nostril with pure ecstasy. I push her hard against the counter and take her breasts in my hands. I shove my face into her chest and paint her bared skin with my tongue. Annie whimpers and sighs and grabs my well-styled hair, messing it up beyond repair. I don’t care. I only want more of her.
Her thick body gyrates against me. Her hands wander down to my waistline and up my shirt. Her soft fingers explore the contours of my chiselled body.
I let my hands fall from her breasts. I begin to unbuckle my pants.
Annie slips off the counter and begins to unbuckle her pants as well.
It isn’t long before I grab her by the waist and flip her around. I rub my freed manhood against her thick cheeks until she’s practically begging for me to enter her.
I slowly slip inside. She’s so wet and tight. I groan and push and she sighs and whimpers until my hard pelvis smacks against her soft cheeks.
I begin to thrust. The smacking of our skin is the only sound in the kitchen. I can hardly take the thick warmth of her body. I throb in pleasure and she contracts around me. Her legs start to quiver just as I feel myself coming to a head. I reluctantly pull out of her wet warmth and explode onto her cheeks.
My groan of pleasure is so loud and deep that it rattles the pots and pans that hang around us.
I grab a nearby towel and wash Annie off, before flipping her back around and giving her another kiss.
Her lips melt into mine. We’re a perfect fit. I bend down and give her a final kiss between the legs before I pull up her pants and button them back up for her. I lift my own pants up and before we know it, we’re dressed again.
We heave and pant silently, gazing deep into each other’s eyes.
“That was amazing... you’re amazing,” I finally say.
Annie’s face is already pink from the effort of our love making, but she blushes even more at my words.
Her eyes fall from mine and she’s suddenly shy again.
“Thank you,” she whispers. Her voice is so soft and light. “I... I don’t usually do that... I’m not that type of girl.”
I step towards her and take her soft jaw in my hand.
“I’ve NEVER done that before,” I assure her. “There’s just something about you that drives me crazy. Always has.”
“Always has?” she asks confused.
I can see my reflection in her big, glimmering eyes.
“I’ve wanted to be with you ever since the beginning. Not a single day has gone by that I haven’t wished I was with you. I just wish I was strong enough to ask you out when I w
as younger, but I wasn’t. I was so afraid of being rejected. I’m not afraid anymore, though. I know what I want, and what I want is you.”
I hold her face still with my hand and give her a soft, slow kiss.
“Oh, Jayden. I feel the same way. I would never reject you,” she says, when our lips finally part again.
I take her in my arms and we hug with all the intimacy of two long lost lovers.
This has finally become the day I always hoped it would be.

We exchange numbers and promise to see each other again. I feel like I’m floating as I make my way back to Lucy and the van.
“Couldn’t find it?” asks Lucy, confused, when I sit down in the passenger seat, empty handed.
I shake myself out of my daze and realize I left the charcuterie board back in the kitchen.
“Oh, oops, sorry.” I say, still half in a dream world.
Lucy huffs and unbuckles her seatbelt. “I’ll go check quick. That thing’s expensive.”
She hops out of the car and I sink into my seat, daydreaming about all the possibilities ahead. I wish I could have gone home with Jayden.
I feel so naughty, giving myself to him so quickly, but it all feels so right. We’ve known each other for so long, anyways. It’s about time this happened.
I open my phone and just stare at his name and number. I can’t help but smile in amazement.
Suddenly, my phone vibrates and I get a message.
It’s from Jayden!
Miss you already, he says.
I hold the phone close to my heart and sigh in complete happiness.
When can I see you again? he texts again, before I can even reply to his first text.
Whenever you want, I reply.
How about tomorrow? I have to leave for training camp soon. I want to be with you as much as possible before then.
I’ll be there.
He sends me a heart emoji and I send him two back. I press the phone against my chest and hold it there as Lucy lumbers out of the kitchen door with the charcuterie board.
She tosses it in the trunk and then hops in the driver’s seat.
“It was right by the entrance, silly!” she teases, as she starts the van and peels out into the night. “You must be blind as a bat!”
I can’t help but giggle. She’s half-right. I’ve been blinded by love.
Lucy drives me home and drops me off at my apartment. We hug goodbye and I squeeze her a little harder than usual. I’m thankful for her help earlier, even if it was embarrassing at the time. She always means well.
I float up to my place, on cloud nine. I can still smell Jayden on me. I don’t want to shower. I collapse onto my bed and cuddle up so that I can smell him on my shirt. I fall into a blissful sleep. I don’t dream at all. I already feel like I’m living in a fantasy land.

I wake up to a sunny morning. Birds chirp happily outside my window. I hesitate to jump in the shower. I can still smell Jayden’s lingering scent on my work clothes. I figure I’ll see him soon enough, though. I check my phone for messages and when I find none, I decide to take a shower.
I can’t help but imagine Jayden naked with me as the hot water pours over my glistening body. I touch myself at the thought of his hard body and huge manhood. I could barely fit him all in last night. Luckily, I managed to stretch out enough to accompany him. He hurt so good. I had the best orgasm of my life, pushed up against that kitchen counter.
I have another orgasm as I rub between my legs to the memory of him. When I’m done, I hurry out of the shower. I just want to talk to him again; be near him. I don’t even dress before I check my phone.
There’s 1 missed called and it’s from Jayden. I giddily call back but it goes straight to voicemail. I hang up before I can leave a message. I love this man, but I still feel anxious at the idea of leaving a message. There are so many ways I could trip over myself and screw up.
I decide to text him.
Can’t wait to see you :), I say.
I wait a few minutes for a response, but when I don’t get one, I decide to get dressed and make myself up. I want to look my best for when we meet up.
After I’ve done all my makeup and chosen my sexiest outfit, I check my phone again.
Nothing.
I start to get worried. Why isn’t he responding. Is something wrong? Is he having second thoughts about being with me? I WAS quite the hussy last night...
I jump onto my bed and lay down, pressing my phone against my chest, waiting for it to vibrate.
Eventually, the birds stop chirping outside my window. The day goes on I don’t get a single message from Jayden. The closest I come is when I get a text from Lucy asking if I want to hang out. I nearly have a heart attack when I feel my phone vibrate. I’ve never been so disappointed to hear from my best friend.
I tell her I’m not feeling that well and I’m going to stay in today.
Get better, boo! she texts back.
I just sigh. There’s only one cure to what ails me, and that’s Jayden.
Where has he gone?

Jayden
They confiscated my phone as soon as I got off the plane. I had tried to call Annie to warn her, but she didn’t answer.
I had no idea they’d be so strict. I guess I am entering a multi-billion-dollar business, after all. I’m sure my older brother, Hunter, would do the same to one of his new employees.
I feel a little foolish at my naivety.
My agent, Xander had to set up an emergency flight to my new team’s practice facility when he learned I had missed my original flight late last night. I took a red eye into my new city, feeling ashamed of my lapse in judgement. I didn’t want to give a bad first impression to the team that had drafted me so high.
I had just been so caught up with Annie, that I had completely forgotten about the ‘voluntary’ early start of training camp.
When you’re a rookie, nothing is ‘voluntary’. If it’s on the schedule you have to go, you have no choice.
They took my phone and I was led to my hotel room where I was to immediately start studying my playbook, while Xander began negotiations on my first contract.
I could barely concentrate on my important task; I was so worried that I’d hurt Annie’s feelings by not getting in contact with her.
We had just started our relationship and I had already managed to break a promise to her. I had said we’d meet up today, and now there was no chance.
Sure, I could easily get her on a private jet and fly her to me, but there’s a strict ‘no spouses at training camp’ rule for rookies.
Xander said they take our phones in case we end up not coming to a deal on our contract. If things go south during negotiations, I could easily use a phone to take pictures of their playbook and use it against them for leverage. I understand, in a way, but I don’t care about the consequences, I have to talk to Annie.
I task Xander with finding me a burner phone that I can use to at least text her.
I took a mental picture of her number before my phone was confiscated. i wrote it down on a piece of standard hotel paper, the first chance I got.
I just hope I remembered it right.
I feel so restless, as the day passes and I’m whisked from my room to workouts and meetings and press junkets. I have to do a photoshoot in my new jersey. I try to put on a smile. I really do want to make a good first impression -- to the team and the coaches and the city -- but my mind is really only on Annie.
At the end of the long day, I’m led back to my room, exhausted. I collapse on my bed, too tired to do anything else. I just listen for a knock on my door.
I trust Xander to deliver a phone to me. He’s a good guy, and hell, he might even be my brother-in-law someday. I’ve heard rumblings that my sister, Lily, and him are starting to get serious. I know it’ll be tough on them, having to be away from each other while Xander stays at training camp and helps negoti
ate my contract. I can completely sympathize.
I just hope we both get out of this on top.

Day turns into night and still, there’s no word from Jayden.
I’d given up hope when my phone vibrates alive through the darkness of my lonely room.
I don’t even jump towards it. I can only assume it’s Lucy checking up on me again. I pick up my phone and lazily open it.
My heart immediately stirs awake.
I’ve missed you...
It’s a text from Jayden!
I don’t know what to say. I just stare at the screen, trying to make sure I’m processing it all right. I let my hand wander to my thigh and I give myself a quick pinch – I flinch at the pain.
At least I know I’m not dreaming.
What took him so long to get back to me? I want to be angry but I can only feel thankful. Three dots pop up on the bottom of our text chain. He’s writing more.
Annie?
I quickly reply.
Yes. What happened today?
Long story... he replies.
I go to respond, but before I can start typing I see those three dots pop up again. I watch them wiggle with bated breath as I wait for his explanation. It takes far longer than I expect.
I hold no anger towards him. I just hope he’s alright.
My phone buzzes and I finally get his follow up text.
You had me so smitten last night that I completely forgot that I had to report to ‘rookie’ training camp today. I even missed my flight! Lol. Luckily, my agent didn’t forget and I got down here just in time. They took my phone, though. Something about security... I don’t think I’ll get it back until my agent can work out my contract. I don’t know how long that will take... but I couldn’t wait. My agent snuck me in a burner phone. It feels so secretive and naughty, lol, but it’s worth the risk. I needed to let you know. I had a wonderful time last night, Annie. You’re amazing. I need to see you again -- I just don’t know when that will be.
My heart flutters and rises and drops as I read his long message.
