The Price of Loving A Boss 2 Page 7

Yazz started to ramble on and on about how he would do better, and how much he loved me. All I wanted to do was take a shower and check on my baby. I felt dirty and nasty, being that I hadn’t touched water since the day I was kidnapped.

  “Where is Kasha?” I asked.

“With Gee. She keeps him close. I think she knows that I’m going to kill her,” he said as he opened the door for me. Then he got in.

“She told me that she tried to kill Diamond,” I said as I put my seatbelt on.

  “What? You sure?”

“She told me this with her own mouth.”

  “Call Diamond right now.”

“I don’t have a phone. Kasha took it.”

“Here, use my phone. Let’s go and get you a new one right now,” he said as he handed me his phone and drove off.

“She didn’t answer. I called her before I called you, and she still didn’t answer.” Now I was starting to get scared.

“I’m sure she’s okay. If Kasha had her, she would want me to know so I can tell her where her sister is.”

“So, what we gonna do about her?”

  “About Kasha?” he asked.

“Yes, Kasha. This is not okay. She must be handled.”

“Well, what do you want me to do? Run up in Gee’s crib and kill her? I can’t. He’d never forgive me,” Yazz said as his brows sank low.

I could tell he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He loved his brother very much, and Gee loved him just as much. But Gee also loved Kasha.

“We can catch her when Gee’s not around? She will have to leave that penthouse sooner or later.”

“I don’t know how I’m going to get her. I just know that I am. I have to.”

“Why did you blackmail her for sex and make her leave?” I asked, remembering what Kasha had told me.

“What?” he looked over at me like he was confused.

“She said that you blackmailed her for sex and made her leave town.”

“Do I look like I need to blackmail a bitch for sex? She’s the one that started the whole thing off; coming to my place and sucking my dick. I guess she thought I would tell Gee about her being married, so she wanted to shut me up. I never made her do anything or asked for sex. Why would I? She had something on me too.”

I looked at the way that he darted his eyes back and forth like he was nervous. “What are you not telling me?” I asked.

  “Huh?”

“Stop fucking playing with me, nigga! What the fuck are you hiding?” I asked.

Kasha wasn’t doing all of this over sex.

  “I’m not playing.”

  “Pull over.”

  “What?” he asked.

“If you can’t keep it real with a bitch, drop me off and forget about me!”

Yazz pulled over in front of a random house and turned the ignition off. Then he turned to me and grabbed my hand. “Look… there is more. But…”

I waited, but he didn’t finish his sentence. “But what?” I asked.

“Look, after Kasha left my brother, we continued to have sex for a couple of months. She was in love with me and…”

  “And?”

  “She came up pregnant.”

  “Pregnant?” I asked.

  “Yes.”

“So where is the baby?” I asked, trying not to get mad. This was before me and I had to remember that.

“She claimed to have had an abortion, but I don’t think she did. Baby, she’s been out to ruin me since the day I told her to abort.”

  Chapter Twenty-Four

  Diamond

“You again?” Emo asked as I walked behind Neek into his place.

“Yep,” I laughed as I shut the door behind me. His rude ass bitch was rolling her eyes at me again.

Neek pulled up to get Rena and I the minute Gee pulled off. He actually couldn’t wait to see me. I’d never had a guy who couldn’t wait to see me again. We went for ice cream, and now we were at Emo’s house. It was funny because Emo didn’t know that I was also the fiancé of Gee. He only knew that I used to fuck with Davinchi. But I knew exactly who he was.

“Nigga, I told you to take her to handle business. Not to get at her,” Emo joked.

“Why you care?” his bitch asked.

He looked at her and screwed his face. “Bitch, shut the fuck up and find something safe to do,” he said.

I noticed that her eye was a bit bruised. It looked like it was fading away. Must have been from when he beat her ass yesterday.

“Don’t stunt in front of your friends,” she said as she walked into the kitchen.

“Say one more word to me and watch what happens,” Emo told her.

She didn’t say another word. Just rolled her eyes at me, like I was the one who whooped her ass.

“What you got on that 2K, my guy?” Neek asked as he pulled out some money.

“I ain’t tryna take ya lil’ cash today,” Emo joked, but he still pulled out the remote controls to the PlayStation 2. Then he also pulled out some money. They both put the stacks on the table.

“Where’s the restroom?” I asked Emo.

He didn’t say anything. Just pointed down the hall and continued to talk shit to Neek. I let Rena sit on the couch since she was entertained by watching them play.

I walked down the hall and finally found the restroom. It was actually clean. Didn’t look how I expected it to look.

“Yeah, Neek got another bitch in there. Come over and I’ll open the door for ya,” I heard Emo’s girl whisper into the phone, just as I was shutting the door.

“Bitches,” I hissed under my breath as I used to toilet.

After washing my hands, I thought about leaving. But then I decided against it. Wasn’t no bitch about to run me off.

“Nigga, take that! Dunked on yo’ bitch ass!” Neek yelled as he hopped up.

I waited for him to sit back down and then I whispered in his ear. “I think ol’ girl just called your girlfriend over here.”

“Who?” he asked without looking at me. Before I could respond, there was a knock at the door. Damn, that was fast. She must live in the same building.

“I got it,” Emo’s bitch said with a smile, then opened the door.

“Oh, really, nigga? You in here with a bitch?” some tall girl asked.

She was dark, with her hair up in a long pony tail, and wearing boy shorts and a tank top. I looked down and saw that she didn’t even have shoes on. She came to fight.

“Man, gone with that bullshit, Tonka,” Neek said as he stood up and walked toward her.

She broke fast around him and ran my way, but Emo hopped up and grabbed her.

“Go home, Tonka,” Emo said as he pushed her over to Neek.

Neek grabbed her by the neck and yanked her outside the door. I didn’t know what he said because the door was now closed. I heard them yelling at each other, though.

“Gatha, you called Tonka over here?” Emo asked as he slowly walked toward her.

She backed away slowly and darted her eyes at the door.

  “No,” she lied.

He looked back at Rena and I. “You better be lucky a kid is in here,” he said.

“Man, fuck that kid. It ain’t yours,” she said.

I wasn’t understanding where all the animosity was coming from. “Watch your mouth, hoe,” I said as I stood up. I played about a lot of shit, but not Rena.

“I wasn’t talking to you, so mind ya business, bitch,” she said.

“I’ll be back,” Emo said as he yanked her by the shirt, pulled her into the back room and closed the door. Then I heard shit getting knocked around and her begging him to stop.

  “Emo, please!”

“Nah, fuck that! Sick of you with all that drama! I told you ’bout that shit!”

The door came flying back open and Emo walked out with a pile of clothes. He opened the door and threw all that shit into the hallway. Then he went back into the back room with Gatha walking behind him crying and pleading,
but Emo wasn’t trying to hear it. I grabbed Rena and prepared to leave. This was too much. I started to feel like I was fucking with Davinchi all over again.

“Yo, hold up,” Neek said as I stepped out the front door.

“Nah, let that bitch leave!” Tonka yelled. She was standing across the hall.

“Baby, I promise I won’t do it no more!” Gatha cried as Emo threw more stuff out and walked back to the room to grab more shit. I felt like I was in the twilight zone.

“Yo, Tonka, I’m not about to have this discussion with you right now. We ain’t been together in months, so why you trippin’?”

He was standing right in front of her, but she was looking dead at me. I was two seconds away from leaving, so he needed to make this quick.

“Who is she?” Tonka asked, pointing at me.

He looked back at me and smiled. “That’s my girl, and you or that messy ass hoe ain’t gonna stop shit. That’s why Emo putting her ass out now… calling you over here and shit.”

“Ay, come back in. You good,” Emo said as he gently pulled me back inside and tossed the last of Gatha’s shit out.

“Don’t walk away from me,” Tonka said as Neek walked back inside.

“I call police!” some Chinese woman yelled as she opened her door.

Tonka and Gatha grabbed what they could off the ground and left. Finally, Emo shut the door.

“Yo, my bad, Diamond,” Neek said as he sat back down beside me.

  “It’s cool.”

“I don’t want you thinking we’re just some bullshit ass niggas,” Emo added as he turned the game back on like ain’t nothing happen.

“You heard what I told her?” Neek asked me.

  “What?”

“I told her you my girl now.” He laughed, but I could tell that he meant it.

  “You gotta earn that.”

I wasn’t broke no more, so wasn’t no dating a man for money. If a nigga wanted to be a part of my life now, he had to prove it. I wasn’t playing the fool no more, and I meant it. Not even for Gee.

  Chapter Twenty-Five

  Gee

  Later that night…

I sat at my kitchen table, taking shots of vodka. Something was going on and I could feel it. I just didn’t know what. On top of that, Kasha had yet to come back to my place since I caught her following me earlier. I don’t even think she knew that she was caught.

As I sat there in deep thought, there was a knock at the front door. I already knew it was Kasha. I made sure that no one else would come by tonight. I needed answers that only she would give me. This discussion that would take place could either make us or break us.

“You’ve been drinking?” she asked after I opened the door for her and let her in.

“We need to talk,” I said.

  “About what, baby?”

“Sit down.” I let out a chair for her. When she sat down, I sat directly across from her. “Want a drink?” I asked.

  “I’m okay,” she said nervously.

“Do we lie to each other?” I asked as I threw back another tall shot.

  “No. Baby, where is this—”

“I’m about to ask you a few questions, and I will ask them one time only. If you lie to me, I want you out of my house tonight, and I mean it.” I gave her a calm look that let her know I wasn’t playing.

  “Okay, baby.”

“Why were you following me today?”

She paused for a minute and darted her eyes from me to the wall. Deep down inside, she knew that if she lied, I would have her ass on a flight back to Paris.

“After you told me about Diamond, I just had to see for myself.”

“Did you find what you were looking for?” I asked.

“I mean… not really, baby. You had already told me the truth so…”

“So why in the entire fuck would you follow me if I’d already been one hundred percent real with you, Kasha?”

  “I… I… I don’t know.”

“When were you going to tell me about your marriage?”

The look on her face let me know that she had no idea that I knew that. “How did you-”

“Don’t worry about how I know. Just know that I know. So when?” I asked.

Eric was the one who found out everything for me, and he found out way more than that.

“I didn’t plan to tell you because I’d gotten a divorce. He was nothing like you.”

I laughed softly. That shit wasn’t going to work on me tonight. “You fucked my brother?” I asked.

Eric didn’t tell me this, it was just a gut feeling that I had from the way they interacted the other night. He was too emotional to not have fucked her.

Her eyes clouded as she sank low in her seat. Then a tear fell… and then more. I wasn’t trying to play that game with her because I still needed answers.

“Yes, I did. But, baby, I swear—”

“Was that his baby that you aborted three years ago? Is that why you left me and then came back?”

  “I… umm… he… we…”

“You don’t have to answer that,” I said as I stood up and walked down to my bedroom. That’s all the questions that I needed to be answered for the night.”

“Baby, can I say something?” Kasha asked as she slid onto my bed and slid behind me.

  “I’m about to sleep, Kasha.”

“Look at me… please,” she whispered as she kissed my shoulders.

I turned to face her. “Make it fast.”

“What relationship you know that don’t have problems?” she asked with tears falling down her face.

“I don’t know, Kasha. I just didn’t know that it was normal to go around sleeping with the brother of your boyfriend.”

“I’m sorry, Gee. I’m so sorry. And you have my word that it will never in life happen again. It’s just that… we were drunk and one thing led to another.”

“Kasha, it wasn’t just sex. You fell in love with my brother.” I knew Kasha and I knew my brother like the back of a book. If he had sex with Kasha and got her pregnant, she definitely had some type of love.

“But… but… he was stealing from you,” she cried.

  “I knew that.”

I didn’t understand why she felt the need to blurt that out. It was irrelevant at the time, and I would not allow her to take at least half of the blame off of her. I rolled back over.

“So where do we go from here?” she asked.

  “I don’t know, man. I just don’t know.”

“I love you so much,” she said.

  “You told me that already.”

  “What does that mean?”

“It means I don’t want to hear that shit right now.”

“Baby, look at me.” She climbed on top of me and removed her clothes. “Look at me,” she said again as she grabbed my face and guided my hands to her breasts.

“Your kissing and sucking is not going to work for me tonight.”

Kasha paid me no mind, and lifted herself up, then slid my dick out of my boxers. Then she slid her wet and warm pussy down on it. It never mattered how mad I was at her, my dick could never agree, and she knew it.

“Love me again, Gee,” she moaned as she slid up and down on my pole. Though I hated to feel this way, I was enjoying her sex like I always did. But I was starting to feel like that was the only thing holding us together.

“I’ll never stop loving you,” I said as my eyes rolled to the back of my head.

I wasn’t lying, but there would definitely be no love gained nor lost. There was no coming back from that. I closed my eyes and saw Diamond’s beautiful face.

Kasha began to slam down hard on my dick as she bounced up and down.

  “Diamond,” I grunted on accident.

  “What?” she asked.

I didn’t respond. I was sure she had heard me, so there was no need to repeat. She slid off my dick and sat Indian style in my bed.

“Why that face?” I asked as I put my arms behind my head and
looked up at the ceiling.

  “You love her?”

  “Diamond?”

“Is that the one that’s having your child?” she asked.

  “Yes.”

“So do you love her?” she asked again.

I didn’t answer right away. I had to dig deep inside of myself before I broke off that kind of news to Kasha, the one and only woman I’ve always loved. I found myself thinking about Diamond all day and night. Instead of Kasha being here, I wanted Diamond here, but she didn’t trust me anymore. I’ve never been the man to force a woman to love me, but that didn’t stop me from loving her. All I wanted was to see Diamond happy. I wanted her happy more than I wanted myself happy. Hell, if I could see her smile again, that would make me happy, if only for a day.

  “Yes. I do love her.”

“Then why am I here? Huh? Why are you making love to me?”

“You want me to answer that or you just wanted to hear yourself ask a question because the time was right?”

“Answer it. Why aren’t you making love to her right now?”

“Because she doesn’t trust me anymore.”

She took a deep breath and sighed. “So if she was here, would I be in the picture?”

  “No, you wouldn’t, Kasha.”

“I’m going to make you love me again,” she said as she laid down and cried herself to sleep.

And still… all I could think about was Diamond.

  Chapter Twenty-Six

  Diamond

  One week later

“I don’t know, Diamond. I just don’t feel like you shouldn’t be taking three steps back,” Red said as we waited for Emo and Neek to come back from the store. We were in the projects with them. At first, Neek just came to my place to pick me up, but ever since our incidents, Red wanted us to stay close to each other, so she hopped in the car with us.

  “You’re overanalyzing.”

“And what’s gonna happen when Gee finds out? I mean… Emo is his brother.”

“Gee don’t even come around like that. And so what if he do? He ain’t my man. Hell, he got a crazy ass bitch at home that tried to kill me. That’s worse than Davinchi,” I said. Red had told me how Kasha was the one shooting at me. “At least I feel protected with Neek. That nigga bars none.”
