“Use… fingers,” she panted against his lips, “inside.”
”Inside?”
“Inside.”
His thumb tapped her clit, and he slid two fingers into her. Her heart hammered, and her hips moved against his touch. Ronan pumped his fingers hard and fast, with her head thrown back. Quinn braced her elbows against the desk. The plunging rhythm increased, and the urgency within her intensified. The sensations in her stomach grew sweeter, tighter until she cried out, and a heart-pounding orgasm claimed her.
“Sssh, sweetheart. Keep it all inside.”
Every cell in her body seized up at once, and her breath grew rougher, faster. Spasms took control. Her inner muscles clenched over his fingers, never wanting to let go. Quinn bit her lower lip and sobbed, and even after her orgasm crested and waned, he continued to move his fingers.
“Ride it out,” he growled. “Give me everything.”
Tremors quaked through her, and after a few relentless minutes, Quinn collapsed onto the desk, and her heart stuttered and stopped before lurching back to life.
“I think I’m dead. Am I dead?”
“I’m glad to say, you’re very much alive.”
A hammering at the door broke them apart. Quinn gasped and laughed while Ronan stood and slipped his fingers from her with a smile.
“Hey, Capulet and Montague. Get your angst-ridden butts out here,” Lily yelled. “Time to eat, drink, and be merry.”
“So am I forgiven?” Ronan asked as Quinn rearranged her dress.
She sat up and grinned. “Maybe.”
“Only maybe?” Ronan groaned and leaned his forehead against hers. “You do know it’s all I can do not to throw you over my shoulder and take you to my cave?”
“Spoken like a true Neanderthal. Think you can wait until later?” She nodded toward his erection.
“Like hell. We’re sneaking away during the speeches.”
“Have I ever told you I like the way you think?”
“I don’t think you have.”
“Then I like the way you think.”
The wedding festivities went into the wee hours, and Quinn and Ronan rang in Christmas Day with a kiss under the mistletoe.
“Here’s to a very merry Christmas and a sexy New Year,” Ronan said, his words punctuated with kisses.
“I do like the sound of a sexy New Year.” Quinn nibbled his neck and then rested her head against his chest. She lost herself in the steady beat of his heart. “Tell me more.”
“It involves no clothes, a roaring fire, and not a lot of sleep.”
“I guess I can make myself available.” Quinn wrapped her arms around Ronan’s neck and buried her cheek against his broad shoulder.
Fate had thrown them together, and she was never letting go.
Ever.

About Callie Quigg
Callie Quigg first discovered romance stories in her teens and then proceeded to devour every book she could get her hands on. As a result, she spent many years dreaming about billionaires, movie stars, and aristocrats whisking her away to exotic lands. Sadly, those dreams didn’t come true. But she’s happy to say her very own handsome hero showed up eighteen years ago and swept her off her feet.
When not writing steamy stories about sassy heroines finding Mr. Right, she can be found watching trashy TV, drinking cheap bottles of wine, and eating copious amounts of British chocolate.
You can connect with Callie through her newsletter and on her Facebook Page. If you like what you read and would like to sign up for ARCs from Callie and from nine other awesome romance authors, you can do that through The Romance Review Club on Facebook.
Acknowledgments
For the past few years, Twist of Fate has languished in the depths of my laptop. Thanks to Lily Vega’s never-ending faith and encouragement, I decided to put Quinn and Ronan out of their misery and give them the happily ever after they deserved. Everyone needs someone like Lily in their lives. Lily, you’ll never know how grateful I am to Savvy Authors for putting us together all those years ago. Without you, my stories would stay locked away forever.
Victoria Cabot, what can I say? Every day you motivate me to work harder and face my fears. The writing world is yours for the taking.
If ever I need a reason to smile, I go to The Playground. Ladies, you make me laugh, and I look forward to seeing your posts every day. I wonder what shenanigans the rest of the year will bring...
I'm sure Gwyn McNamee has her red pen out and is marking all of my grammar and punctuation errors. Gwyn, I'm in awe of your talent and drive. Your constant support for other authors is inspiring. I'm looking forward to the day we meet in person so we can talk all things NKOTB. Jordan is mine.
It takes a village and these ladies are part of mine: Julianna Conners, Reese Patton, Elle Everton, Elaina Beth Jadin, Pepper Carter, Alice May Ball, Portia Hailey, and Samantha Westlake, a big mwah to all of you.
