Jeanine could still feel her pussy pulsing as juices poured from it.
“This would be one orgasm to tell my grandkids about,” she gasped with a heady laugh.
The subject seemed as though it had come out of left wing. He cocked one eye open as he grunted, “Grandkids?”
“Oh yes, the ones that come after the white picket fence, husband and kids,” she laughed.
Bo tried to listen to her thoughts. Why was she talking about marriage just now after sex? Was that her way of telling him something?
But her mind was so blank and without a single thought when he delved in that he relaxed and started to drift off to sleep.
Jeanine shifted a little and inadvertently rubbed the soft smooth skin of her buttocks against his thigh. His penis twitched in interest and, Bo lifted his head, his eyes gleaming as he lifted her from her position to sprawl her onto his chest.
Jeanine looked at him in mild curiosity. Her eyes widened as he positioned her above his penis and thrust upwards and into her without ceremony.
“You just had an orgasm,” she protested.
“I want more,” he groaned, as he began to lift and bring down her hips planting his dick inside her again and again.
Sensation began to pool once more and Jeanine’s eyes widened in disbelief. When had she become so wanton and insatiable?
Bo dragged her body upwards until he could bury his face in her neck while his other hand clamped her waist down against him as he thrust upwards and into her again and again with his big, fat dick.
“I want to make love to you now and forever. You’re so fucking sweet,” he groaned as he shoved harder and faster into her.
Jeanine clung to him, her heart beating a wild tattoo in her chest as he greedily sank into her wet juicy depths again and again. The man was insatiable, and apparently so was she!
The pleasure drove them both higher, faster until Jeanine could have sworn she’d lost her mind. As she started to cum again, she lifted her head and looked at Bo. His eyes had gone completely golden without a single trace of black in them. He threw back his head and roared showing teeth bigger than she remembered, and then he buried his teeth in her neck biting hard until he drew blood.
Jeanine looked at him in shock as heady desire tangled with terror and shock in a dizzying mix. He reared away from her as though she had the plague and she lifted a hand to her neck and carried it to her face staring in shock at the little blood on her hands.
Was it her imagination or were his hands becoming more furry and huge even as she looked up at him? Was he changing into… an animal?
She passed out before she could be sure what she had seen.

“Tell me again why you’re avoiding the vet,” Derek demanded, stalking after Bo as the other man single-handedly carted entire stacks of wood with as little effort as though they were crayons.
Bo flung the wood into a heap with the others he had moved. Then he spat into the earth and turned to face Derek with a frown. “She’s human, ergo, she’s a pain in the ass. She’s only going to get underfoot and slow me down in my mission.”
“She is a veterinary doctor so she can handle the strays with far more expertise than a shifter who despises domestic animals!” Derek argued.
“Maybe so. But you gave me a job to do. Either let me do it as I see fit or take the damned thing off my hands,” Bo returned in a curt tone that left no room for argument.
Derek cursed under his breath and spun on his heels to leave.
Bo cursed too, kicking a log of wood out of his path in fury. It wasn’t Derek’s fault that Bo had gone ahead and stuck his dick in that damned vet, despite the fact that he had known better! Nor was it Derek’s fault that Bo had been so enthralled by her delectable body, that without thinking about it, he had imprinted on her. And not just any old imprint, a blood imprint! If he had started to turn during sex and licked her cheek, that would have been it, he would have imprinted on her. But no, he had to go and take a bite of her neck and mingle his saliva with her blood thus creating a blood imprint rather than any old imprint.
It was a damned covenant in the shifter world! Unbreakable except by death and in some cases, even death couldn’t end it. What had possessed him? What had he been thinking?
Now thanks to him losing control like some randy teenager, he could never be with anyone else again and neither could she because that mark would fight off everyone else, man or beast, who came near either of them. She didn’t know it, but he had marked her for life.
She didn’t deserve this. She didn’t deserve to be saddled with a broken, messed up shifter like him. She wanted to get married and have a home with white picket fences and a dozen kids underfoot and in less than a second he had stolen that from her. He’d never wanted a mate. Every time he envisioned his life, he wanted to be alone until he died. He didn’t need the whole drama of a relationship, and now he had marked her for life and shattered any hope she had of ever being with anyone else. She didn’t know it, but he did and he could never live with himself now.
“Fuck!” he yelled.
Derek paused midstride. Then he very slowly turned around to stare at the man he had known as a brother since he was a teenager. Fuck? It was a normal swear word he’d heard enough but something about the way Bo said it, with so much self-loathing and self-directed anger made him begin to think very fast. Had Bo done something with Jeanine? Was that why he was avoiding her?
No, the very idea was preposterous because Bo disliked humans and Jeanine was as human as it was possible to be. In addition to which, Bo seemed to dislike her more than most of her species, since they were constantly at each other’s throats.
“Bo? What happened between you and Jeanine?” Derek asked, coming around to squat beside where Bo had sank onto the bare ground like a man in despair.
Silence.
“Bo?”
“I marked her—”
“No!”
“—with blood, Derek. I imprinted on her with blood!”
Derek swore more viciously than Bo had ever heard then he jerked him forward and upwards by the lapels of his shirt until they were both standing. “What the hell sort of man are you? You hate humans. You have no intention of getting a mate forever, human or otherwise! Why did you have to ruin her life? Did you hate her that much?” he growled.
“Um, is something wrong?” Anita Mason demanded coming up to them carrying a basket of flowers she’d obviously gotten from Kelly’s flower shop. It had Kelly’s signature lemon-green ribbons around the base and twirled around the handles.
The men sprang apart and smiled at her, bowing their heads with automatic respect like the gentlemen Joshua had raised them both to be.
“Derek? Bo?” she demanded looking from one to the other. “Are you two having a difference of opinion?”
“There’s no problem ma’am. We were just um, fooling around,” Derek offered with a weak smile.
Bo nodded his agreement.
Mrs. Mason smiled in satisfaction, “I suppose boys will be boys. Well how much longer until our home is ready?” she asked, flicking a sweet maternal smile at Bo.
He returned her wide-eyed gaze with a more genuine smile as he responded, “Arch and Dan have been helping out a lot. We’ll be done in less than a week.”
Arch and Dan were her sons and they had taken a liking to Bo, ever since he started work on their home. It was built as a palatial estate with wide rooms lining several corridors. Bo had put in a lot of work and he was pleased with how it was turning out. It was hard not to smile genuinely when he thought of his work.
“Your girlfriend was over by the gate. She asked to see you. Sweet little thing she is, all blushes and smiles,” Mrs. Mason said with a giggle. Then she headed off in another direction, presumably to inspect the gardens being set up.
Derek threw Bo a glance, “The vet’s here?”
Bo couldn’t control the leap of his heart even as he wondered when Jeanine had started blushing
and giggling. It didn’t sound at all like her, but Mrs. Mason knew Derek’s Kelly and she had obviously been talking to her. He hadn’t gotten close to any woman in years, so only Jeanine could lay claim to that title, by even the greatest stretch of imagination.
He rinsed off his hands, drying it on his jeans as he headed for the gates at top speed. Derek fell into step beside him and Bo shot him a look, “What are you coming along for?”
“I want to see the blushing, giggling, human girlfriend,” Derek told him tongue-in-cheek.
Bo was very disappointed when he stepped through the gate and saw no one. The Mason’s new home was the only one for a few miles and was surrounded by bushes. He would have seen Jeanine at once if she had been standing in front of the gate as Mrs. Mason had said. He exchanged a glance with Derek and started to whip out his phone to call Jeanine when they both heard the unmistakable shout of “Rekana!”
Derek tried to duck but the bright white light from the wand in the hands of the witch across the street had already hit him and sent him sprawling. The bright light blinded Bo and flung him across the street to crash at the hem of long black robes.
Gasping in pain, Bo looked up. Alcacia was standing above him, tapping her wand against her long black robes as she smiled down at him, her soft red lips twisted with malice. Her long fiery strands flowed down her shoulders like a silken river emphasizing the heartbreaking beauty of her pale, youthful face.
“We meet again Bo,” she whispered in that familiar husky voice.
“Alcacia,” he groaned managing to speak through the pain wracking his body.
“Mmm. I couldn’t forget you either,” she assured him. “I’m sure you’ve met my mother,” she added, motioning to the side.
Bo’s gaze followed the direction she had indicated, and he gaped when he saw Nabradia leaning against a small tree studying the pair of them. His heart thudded with fear and he threw a glance over his shoulder to where Derek was. But his brother was out cold.
“What do you want?” Bo demanded through clenched teeth as he glared at the woman who was the queen of the witches.
“Tsk, tsk. Is that anyway to talk to an old friend of your father’s?” Nabradia demanded with a laughter that didn’t reach her eyes. She was very tall and slim with long, black hair that touched the back of her knees. Her customary small pink crown was perched just so atop her head.
“You’re not a friend of Joshua’s. You gave him Takun Poison,” Bo spat.
Nabradia gave up all pretense of laughter, her violet eyes going cold as ice as she grabbed his chin and with a rough motion, jerked him to face her. “Yes you’re right I did. And I’ll give you much worse if you don’t tell me what I want to know.”
He glared at her in stony silence.
“Why are you rounding up strays? Tryin’ to see if you can make them into shifters?” Nabradia taunted.
Bo kept silent. She didn’t know they were onto her plans and the last thing he needed was for her to find out. He recalled that Alcacia seemed to have the uncanny ability to read his mind and he hastily wiped his mind clean of all thoughts. He cast about for something to think about when Jeanine’s face appeared in his mind’s eyes and he remembered how she had tried to hide her thoughts from him. With an inaudible sigh of relief, he shifted his thoughts to people who walked around shopping malls with panties longer than their bum shorts sticking out over pale asses.
He saw Nabradia flick a questioning glance at her daughter and saw Alcacia frown as she concentrated on reading his thought. He hid a grin when he heard her expel a breath of frustration, “He doesn’t know much Mother. He’s thinking about people shopping half-naked, of all things.”
Nabradia cast him a thoughtful, calculating look which he didn’t like very much. And then she smiled. The smile was more chilling than her anger.
“If he wants to be that way, then we’ll just have to take him with us and have him learn his lessons. Luferia? Palma? Take him to my personal dungeons,” Nabradia ordered, rising to her feet.
The two witches who followed her wherever she went materialized from out of thin air. They started towards Bo just as Alcacia squatted beside him, “You must want to spend some more time with me, Lover. Otherwise you would tell Mother what she wants to know right now, wouldn’t you?” she whispered on a laugh.
Bo remained silent, his lips mere inches from hers. He saw Alcacia’s gaze drop to his lips. He saw her bite her lips with slow deliberation and then she leaned forward to take his lips in hers. As soon as her mouth touched his, she forced her tongue into his mouth at the same time he felt his inner bear react with a roar of angry violence.
She screamed and wrenched away from him, her hands flying to her neck. As she itched, red angry welts began to appear all over her neck and Bo’s eyes widened in surprise.
Nabradia muttered and rushed over to her daughter her face filled with concern and worry.
“Mother, it burns,” Alcacia cried, as the angry, blood-red welts increased. “Oh, it burns, it burns.”
Her distraction with the pain meant her spell holding Bo eased. He limped to his feet and crossed the street back to where Derek was still lying beside the gate. He was pleased to see his brother’s head loll about with the return of consciousness.
The witches were still in an agony of confusion as they tried to understand what had happened to Alcacia. “Shifter! What have you done to my daughter?” Nabradia screamed.
Bo threw them a look, and turned away, unconcerned, to assist Derek to his own feet. Derek was leaning heavily against Bo, his chest rising and falling, as they both watched the witches try frantic spells in vain to ease Alcacia’s pain.
“Let’s take her to the Well of Remembrance,” Palma cried.
Nabradia nodded her permission at once and her two assistants vanished with her still weeping daughter.
Nabradia looked across at the two men whom had foiled her plans and hurt her child and hatred twisted her pretty features into an ugly ravaged mask.
“I will be back,” she swore softly. “I’ll figure out how you managed to use magic on my daughter and then I’ll unleash hell on you!”
Then she vanished as well leaving a small cloud of dust where she had been standing.
Derek looked at Bo, “Were you responsible for the welts on Alcacia’s face and neck?”
Bo returned his brother’s confused look, “I think I might have been. I’m not sure how.”
“Did she try to get, uh, intimate?”
“She kissed me,” Bo supplied.
“It’s the mark. You imprinted on Jeanine — and with the blood imprint— and now that mark is fighting anyone else who tries to be intimate with either of you.”
“I’ll be damned,” Bo swore softly as realization clicked.
“You will be, Bo. You’re looking at celibacy for life, unless you find a way to un-imprint or make the vet —the very human vet—yours forever.”
Bo’s dark frown wrung an unsympathetic laugh from his brother.

Bo was not a gentleman, Jeanine decided, as she angrily wrestled two small cats into the cage she had come along with. It had been one whole week since he had made love to her and in all that time the twerp had shown neither hide nor hair around her. She would think she had dreamed the whole encounter if she hadn’t woken up to delicious aches and beard-inflicted bruises in places she didn’t even know existed.
The memory of that glorious night made her pussy begin to pulse again between her legs and she stifled a moan with effort. She had developed a bad case of insatiable lust since that night. She had spent every night since craving his touch, fantasizing about him until it almost drove her mad.
She spent every waking hour staring at her phone or staring at the hickey he had left on her neck. She wanted him, she admitted to herself with a shaky indrawn breath. She wanted him so much she was afraid she would hunt him down at work and make him work his magic between her legs again.
What kind of man was he? O
ne touch and she was hooked. She hadn’t been a virgin but his experienced fucking could by no stretch of the imagination be compared to the awkward fumbling between the sheets which her first and only boyfriend back in college had thought was lovemaking.
Bo did everything like a pro. He knew how to fuck a woman until she was beside herself with insatiable lust! He had literally screwed her brains out and now she was hooked like a junkie. She had to get more of that dick even if it meant cajoling, teasing, seducing, tempting, anything!
The cats meowed pitifully in the backseat and Jeanine rolled her eyes, “Okay, okay. I’m coming.”
She slammed the door shut and got in. The county had set up an animal shelter during the week-long break from Bo’s dick and she had been stuffing all the strays she could find in them. The only thing was, the shelter wasn’t getting filled up, because the strays seemed to vanish after she’d stuffed them in. Maybe whoever was gathering up the strays and sending them three counties away, according to Megan, was still at it. She would have to ask Bo if he knew anything about it, she decided, as she navigated towards the shelter.
The thought of Bo made her draw in a sharp breath as another wave of lust hit. She could feel her pussy swell and begin to pulse. This was crazy, she thought as she pulled up to the shelter with shaky hands. What was wrong with her? She couldn’t function properly anymore!
She saw Megan deep in conversation with the new shelter’s manager as she pulled up and Megan looked up and waved her over. It felt as though there was a monster in her panties struggling to be free and she smiled and waved brightly, “I’ll be right back Megan. Have to take care of this pussy,” she called back, as she shoved the cages containing the cats at an attendant.
Megan looked at her in surprise, her frown indicating she didn’t understand what pussy Jeanine meant, since she had handed over the cages to the attendants.
Jeanine ignored the other woman, dived into her car and twisted the key in the ignition.
“Jeanine,” Megan called in protest.
“Gotta take care of the pussy,” Jeanine shot back through the window as she drove off.
