Hank & Fallon_Something Wonderful Page 13

Scowling, Hank shook his head. “But I don’t want to. Sex on the balcony is fantastic.”

“It is. We won’t stop. We’ll just be more careful next time. Let’s go get that shower. Then we can order pizza to be delivered.”

They walked to their bedroom, Hank heading to the bathroom as Fallon began removing his clothes again. He showered quickly as his stomach growled. His needs were shifting. Pizza for supper sounded great, because after the long day, making love with his beautiful man, and a hot shower, Hank doubted he would have the energy to cook anything. Even helping with the cooking didn’t seem like something he could manage.

In the end Hank and Fallon took their pizza and soft drinks up to the roof. It was a construction zone, but the men and women working on it were gone for the day. They crossed the roof to where the double-wide chaise was placed beside a large umbrella. Because the sun was still out, Fallon put it up. They sat next to each other in the shade, enjoying the breeze as they ate their supper.

  “This is nice,” Fallon commented.

Hank nodded, tipping his head back so he could look up at the sky beyond the edge of the umbrella. “The sky’s clear. I wonder if we can see a lot of stars from up here.”

“You can, but it’s better to get out away from town.”

“We used to go out at night to stargaze when I lived at Reagan and Noah’s. We were planning a camping trip not too far away from there, out in the middle of nowhere, where there were fewer trees.”

“You and I can do that. Dad or my grandfather can watch the store for a few days so you and I can get away.”

Turning to look at Fallon, Hank frowned. “Fallon, you always go out of your way to make me happy. Not that I’m complaining,” he said quickly. “But I don’t want you to think I’m taking advantage of you.”

Fallon leaned in to give Hank a soft kiss. “I would never think that. I enjoy doing things for you. And you’re no slouch yourself in the giving department. You do nice things for me all the time.”

“Yeah, well, I always try to be nice. But you’re more like a genie. I rub your lamp with an idle comment, and my wish is granted.”

“Hank,” Fallon said patiently, “we will hopefully be together for a very long time.” Fallon took Hank’s hand, holding it tightly. “Doing nice things for you, especially things we can enjoy together, will be a part of our relationship. If I ever believe you are trying to take advantage of me, which I seriously doubt you would do, we will discuss it. Agreed?”

Relieved that Fallon didn’t believe Hank was only looking for a sugar daddy, Hank squeezed Fallon’s hand and smiled. “Agreed. Now, when can go on this camping trip?”

“Very soon. This weekend, maybe. I’ll talk to my dad.”

“Are you sure he’ll have time? With you playing matchmaker, he’s been quite busy lately,” Hank teased. Fallon had shared his plan to find female companionship for his father and grandfather. The two men had seemed happy enough to Hank, but he could understand Fallon’s desire to see the men in his life as happy as he seemed to be. “The woman he took out last week was hot. Even I could see that.”

Laughing, Fallon reached for the pizza box. He offered Hank another slice, which he took. “I think I’ve created a monster. Gramps seems happy enough escorting Mrs. Daly around town, but dad has gone a bit nuts. I believe he has dated a dozen women this past month.”

Fallon did seem concerned. The laughter was gone. “It’ll be okay,” Hank told him. “They’re big boys. They can take care of themselves. Now, why don’t we talk about this camping trip? I don’t know anything about camping. I suppose I’ll need gear.”

“I have all we will need stored out in the garage. Now, why don’t we put down the umbrella and wait for the stars to come out?”

It sounded like a fantastic plan to Hank. He finished the slice of pizza and settled back in the cushion as Fallon took care of the umbrella, moving it completely out of their line of sight. Then he was beside Hank again and taking Hank’s hand. Fallon was always touching him, something Hank loved almost more than anything else. It was something wonderful.

“I love you,” Hank whispered as the sun finally set and the sky above them darkened.

There was no hesitation before Fallon’s response. “I love you, too. I always will.”
