Bother Me Page 2

by Elizabeth Monvey

Last year had been one blow after another, culminating in his mother’s stroke. Thank God she’d taken precautions for her retirement years because he wouldn’t have been able to give her the best health care on his own. Talk about majorly failing as a son. It had only added to his depression.

When they reached Dumas Pointe Beach twilight was rapidly fading into night. Scotty pulled into the parking lot and cut the engine. Immediately Tighe was engulfed in the harmony of the waves crashing along the beach. He helped Scotty collect the cooler and beach chairs. Then he followed as Scotty led them onto the sand and toward the glow of firelight near the water. There were four other men sitting around the bonfire and two of them had girls on their laps. They all greeted Scotty with a round of cheers.

“Hey everyone,” Scotty said, after bumping fists with everyone. “This is my friend, Tighe Valentine. Treat him nice because he’s from Texas.”

“Sorry to hear that, mate,” said one guy in a thick Australian accent. “My name’s Jesse.”

They each went around introducing themselves. Jesse had Sandra on his lap. Next to him was Vic with Lisa and then the last two guys were Brett and Chad. They all seemed nice and laid back. Once he caught a sniff of weed he realized why. He sat the cooler down as Scotty set up their chairs and moments later they all had beers in their hands and a joint was being passed his way. Tighe looked at it for a moment and then figured why the hell not. He took the joint from Scotty and inhaled the marijuana, bringing the smoke deep into his lungs and holding it for a moment before slowly letting it out. Then he passed the joint on.

He didn’t really contribute much to the conversation flowing around him, but that was mainly because he had nothing to say. He knew nothing about A-frames or entry lines. Yet even though he didn’t talk, he didn’t feel out of place. Scotty made sure to keep him in the loop by explaining certain things or asking his opinion on common items, like weather and wind patterns. Mostly, he just enjoyed looking up at the stars which, thanks to the weed, were cruising around in the night sky making all kinds of neat pictures. He realized he became a wicked astronomer when high.

Sometime later, he felt a nudge at his elbow and looked over at Scotty, who was smiling at him. The other people were now murmuring amongst themselves, and Jesse was laying a lot of tongue on Sandra.

“I’m glad to see you relaxing,” Scotty said softly. “You looked really tense today.”

“I was really tense,” Tighe said.

“Then I’m glad I insisted you come.”

“Haven’t done that yet,” he said and then chuckled at his inside joke.

  Scotty’s eyebrows went up. “Oh?”

“Well, you are the main reason why I was so tense today.” Tighe blinked. Did he really just say that out loud? “Damn weed. I tend to talk too much on the shit.”

“Wait, how did I make you tense?”

Tighe just waved his hand, not wanting to answer the question.

“Come on, Tighe. How did I make you tense?”

Tighe’s gaze roved around the others, seeing if anyone was watching them, which they weren’t, before he took a deep breath. Call it chemical induced courage or the fact that he was sick and tired trying to hide his boner all the time around his neighbor.

“Do I bother you that much?”

Tighe closed his eyes and shook his head before looking at Scotty. Beautiful, young, sexy Scotty. What the fuck was he getting ready to do? Screw everything up, of course. That’s what he did best.

“I’m…attracted to you.” His admission had relief sliding off his shoulder at finally being truthful. He looked up at the sky, finding it easier to be straightforward if he wasn’t looking at Scotty. “I’m sorry if that makes you uncomfortable. I promise I’m not the type of man who’ll jump your bones—”

  “God, I hope you are.”

  Chapter Three

Scotty hadn’t believed his good luck when his next door neighbor agreed to go to Dumas Point with him, because he’d been lusting after Tighe Valentine for three months, ever since he’d laid eyes on the huge man. And his day continued getting better when Tighe answered his door naked, allowing him to get a glimpse of the big cock he’d been fantasizing over.

Tighe was the type of man Scotty liked to call a bear. He was big, brawny, with a massive hairy chest, thick thighs, and was hung like a horse. In other words — the perfect man. And now, knowing Tighe was gay and returned his attraction, well, he’d just hit the fucking lotto.

“Come with me,” he said, standing and grabbing Tighe’s hand. He frowned a little when Tighe pulled away, but the other man at least followed after him. Scotty figured that was good enough for now.

“Where are we going?” Tighe asked as they moved farther away from the bonfire, into the dark patches of the beach hidden from view of the lingering people.

“Away, so I can do this,” Scotty said. He turned and stepped close to Tighe’s big body, so close he could feel heat coming off the bigger man as well as the huge fucking boner the man sprouted. Within seconds he had a matching hard on as he cupped Tighe’s face and pulled his lips down to his.

The kiss started out hesitant, a mere brushing of lips as he waited for permission to deepen it. Luckily, it didn’t take long and with a low groan, Tighe put his arms around Scotty’s thinner body and crushed him close.

Oh yes, this was what he wanted. What he craved. Being held by this bear of a man. There was nothing better on earth.

Tighe pulled Scotty into him and molded their lips together, starting the kiss slowly and letting the magic build.

Already Scotty’s heart pounded heavily in his chest and his hands were a little unsteady as he held onto Tighe’s shirt.

Tighe pulled Scotty’s hips into his and ground against him, hard against hard that felt so fucking good. He ran a hand upward, grabbing Scotty’s shirt and easing it up his chest until his knuckles glided over Scotty’s stomach, whose muscles contracted against the ticklish caress.

Their tongues met, danced, twining together to learn the feel and texture. Scotty was lost in the hot mouth dominating his. Tighe’s hand slid to Scotty’s thigh to find and squeeze his cock though his shorts.

Scotty gasped as Tighe began to massage the hardness and a few seconds later, his hand slid inside the elastic band to have skin on skin contact. Wanting to make Tighe feel as awesome as he was feeling, he also reached inside Tighe’s sweatpants, thankful for the room they allowed, and into his jockey shorts.

Tighe groaned and his breath hitched in his throat. “Oh shit, you have no idea how good that feels.”

“Yeah, I think I do,” Scotty said with a gasp, arching into Tighe’s caress. He loved the feel of Tighe’s huge cock, so thick he could barely wrap his fingers around it. The tip wept with pre-cum, so he used the moisture to slick over the skin, making it easier for his hand to pump. “You’re so big,” he said. “I’d love to have this big dick sinking into my hole, stretching me wide.”

“If you don’t shut up, I’m going to come right now,” Tighe said in a strangulated tone. His hips began to buck along with Scotty’s pumping action.

  “Already?”

  “It’s been a long time.”

The words intrigued him and caused him to tighten his fist just a little bit. In response, more fluid dribbled from the tip and Scotty’s mouth watered at the thought of licking all that delicious salty fluid. He began to jerk Tighe faster, curious to see what the man looked like when he finally fell off that peak, finding fulfillment in his hands.

Together they worked their own magic on each other, tugging and jerking, until they were both worked up. They moved as one, moaning their rapture as they spiraled higher and higher. Tighe fell first, flinging back his head with a shout as satisfaction coursed through him.

The sight of him, head back, chest out, made Scotty’s breath catch and then it didn’t take long at all for his own climax to consume him. They each rode out the peaks of passion as the small contractions of their orgasm
s faded.

  “Oh shit,” Tighe whispered.

“I hope that’s an ‘Oh shit I can’t believe how amazing that was, where have you been all my life’ type of exclamation,” Scotty said a bit breathlessly. “Because I can’t wait to do that again.”

Tighe snorted with amusement and stepped back, breaking all contact. Without saying a word, he stuffed his now-deflated cock back into his sweats and used the edge of his t-shirt to wipe the cum off his hand before tucking the tail inside the elastic waist, as if trying to hide all evidence of their passion.

“Are you all right, Tighe?” Scotty asked.

“Yeah. I’m great. I’m, ah, going to go back to the fire. You think we’ll be leaving soon?”

Scotty’s euphoric mood evaporated immediately. He was a guy. He knew a brush off when he heard one.

“Sure. We can go anytime you’d like.”

Tighe nodded, turned, and walked away. Scotty watched his back for a moment, feeling depressed and more than a little used.

“Ah, hell,” he muttered to himself and followed.

  Chapter Four

Scotty took a deep breath as he gripped a basket of flowers tightly and made his way up to the office of the assisted living home. He felt like a stalker, chasing down his bear of a man who clearly didn’t want to chased. It’d been a week since the beach incident and while it had rocked Scotty’s world, Tighe had retreated to a point of being invisible. They had bumped into each other once in the seven days since the great jerk off session, as he like to think of it, and it had been a stilted and uncomfortable meeting.

  “Hey, Tighe.”

  “Hi, Scotty.”

“There’s a ball game happening tonight. Do you think—”

  “Gotta run.”

And just like that, Tighe had disappeared down the hall and out the emergency door. Scotty let him go, because clearly there was something going on with Tighe. He didn’t think it was because the older man didn’t like him, or want him. No, the last departing look he’d shot Scotty had been one full of longing and regret. It was that look alone that had driven Scotty to the nursing home today.

At the front desk he signed in and made his way through the hallways until he found room one twelve and peeked around the door to see the object of his fantasies spoon-feeding an older woman.

Tighe’s mother was propped up with multiple pillows, and she looked very frail and feeble. Scotty felt his heart melt as he saw how careful and lovingly Tighe fed his mother, gently wiping her mouth after every spoonful of soup.

He stepped forward and caught Tighe’s attention. He had a moment of amusement as he saw Tighe’s mouth drop open in surprise before all emotion was wiped clean.

“Scotty, what are you doing here?”

“I came bearing flowers,” he said brightly as he stepped inside. He lifted the basket. “I wanted to meet your mother.”

She turned her head and stared at him with faded blue eyes. The right side of her mouth drooped, as did the corner of her right eye, and although she had an air of sick fragility about her, it couldn’t hide the fact that she was still beautiful. Scotty watched as she held out a shaky hand to him and he moved forward to gently grasp it.

“N-n-nice m-m-meet y-you,” she managed to say through the left side of her mouth.

“It’s nice to meet you too. I’m Scotty Tilden. I’m a friend of Tighe’s. We’re neighbors.”

“S-Scotty,” she said and then she smiled, or what Scotty thought was a smile. She leaned her head against the pillows as he moved closer to the bed.

  “Tighe, what’s your mother’s name?”

He saw Tighe sigh and had to repress a satisfied grin.

  “Marilyn,” he said.

“Like Monroe? That’s a cool name,” Scotty said, turning back to her. “I bet you were just as sexy, Ms. Marilyn.”

“Scotty!” Tighe frowned. “That’s my mother you’re talking about.”

Scotty pushed him off the chair and scooted it closer so he could sit next to Marilyn and still hold her hand.

“Has he always been this uptight?” he asked her. “I don’t think he knows how to relax. I took him to the beach last weekend and he was just a bundle of nerves. I bet he was a handful as a kid.”

Marilyn made a gurgling noise that sounded like a laugh, and it took him a moment to clarify she wasn’t having another stroke. She squeezed his hand, which Scotty took as a good sign. The last thing he wanted to do was something detrimental to her recovery.

Tighe sighed, causing Scotty to look over at the big guy. “You okay?”

“It’s been a while since she laughed,” he said. “Thank you.”

“I’m here for you, you know. Or at least, I’d like to be.”

Tighe’s brow furrowed and Scotty wished he knew what he was thinking. It was slightly awkward, putting himself out there, but he was never good at mind reading and it seemed like Tighe was the king of subtle. He wanted his intentions known, and he planned on talking things over with Tighe this very day.

They spent the rest of the afternoon visiting with Marilyn, and it was late afternoon before they decided to walk back home. Her nurse had come to wash her and get her ready for the evening, so Tighe leaned down and kissed her forehead. When he pulled back, Scotty also leaned down to give her a kiss on her papery thin cheek. Marilyn patted his hand and waved good-bye.

  * * * *

He and Scotty walked shoulder to shoulder back to their apartment building. He couldn’t help stealing glances at the younger man, not quite knowing what to say or even how to form the questions he was dying to ask.

  Why did he show up?

Did he think about what happened that night?

Did Scotty have any idea how many times he’d jerked off remembering how fucking sweet it had felt to be pressed up against him?

No, he didn’t, and Tighe really wished he could tell him. But to do that invited a whole world of feelings he wasn’t ready to admit to. He’d spent the past week with the memory of Scotty’s body pressed up against his tormenting him.

“I hope you didn’t mind me showing up to visit your mom,” Scotty said.

“Not really, although I’m confused why you would.”

“Because I like you, Tighe. I was hoping you felt the same way about me.”

Tighe sighed. “It’s not that, Scotty.”

“Then what is it? Because I know you liked what happened on the beach. It was fucking awesome.”

Hearing that, Tighe couldn’t hold back the barest hint of a smile. “Yeah, it was pretty fucking awesome, wasn’t it?”

When Scotty practically beamed at him, Tighe realized he shouldn’t have admitted anything. Admitting how much he liked it was the first step in accepting, and truthfully, he didn’t deserve the right to be happy.

“So, can I ask you a question?” Tighe asked.

  Scotty raised his brows. “Sure.”

  “Do you work?”

Scotty laughed. “Of course. I design and maintain websites. It lets me be flexible with hours so I can surf when the waves are sweet.”

Tighe smiled. He’d figured it was something like that. A million miles away from what he did as a living and sometimes the differences between them was so glaringly obvious that he wondered what he was doing. When the apartment building came into sight, Tighe sighed in relief, knowing he would be away from Scotty in a few minutes. His cock had been at half-mast the whole walk home and was starting to get a little uncomfortable. Just being near Scotty all day had been both heaven and hell because he didn’t have the right to touch the man. However, every time they’d accidentally brushed up against one another, the electric jolt had gone right down to his groin, as well as scrambling his brain cells. He kept envisioning himself pushing Scotty up against the wall and kissing that delectable mouth of his, with its full bottom lip ripe for sucking on. How he’d love to see that mouth stuffed with his big cock. The image almost made him moan, and his dick went from half-mast to engorged in a nanosecond.
Shit, now all he wanted to do was beat off while picturing Scotty on his knees in front of him, drinking him down.

If he thought to get a reprieve as he slipped his key in the lock, he was mistaken. Scotty pushed right on in behind him and closed the door. The dead bolt was particularly loud in the near empty room.

“I’m thirsty,” Scotty said. “May I have some water?”

“Um, sure,” Tighe said. As he headed for the kitchen, Scotty was right on his heels. Tighe got a cup and turned on the faucet, filling it up before handing it over. Their fingers lightly brushed against one another and his heart hammered at the innocent touch.

Scotty took the cup and set it down on the counter without even looking at it. His blue gaze was focused on Tighe’s lips.

Tighe felt his mouth go dry as he remembered the kisses on the beach. And then, before he realized what he was doing, he reached out and pulled Scotty into his arms.

Their lips met, blended, and their tongues caressing each other. He wasn’t sure when he surrendered to the inevitable, but he was helpless to fight what he wanted. And God, did he want Scotty. Before, it had all been a little too rushed, too overpowering. This time, Tighe intended to take things nice and slow. He wanted to learn what Scotty liked and what drove him crazy.

Scotty’s hands clutched his shoulders as if clinging to him for dear life, and Tighe liked it. He liked being so much bigger than Scotty and curling his body around the younger man. He pulled Scotty’s hips into his and their hard cocks meshed together through their pants, causing ripples of pleasure to surge down his spine.

The kisses flowed one after the other and Tighe was perfectly content to just spend the evening exploring Scotty’s mouth. But Scotty’s hands traveled down to grasp his butt and the feel of those fingers digging into his ass had his eyes rolling back in his head. He broke the kiss with a gasp.

“Oh, God, that feels nice,” he said with a moan.

Scotty ground into him a little more. “I want you, Tighe. I’ve wanted you ever since I first saw you moving in.”
