  “Good,” she tells him.

The crew actually interviews Nellie and Rob a little later. They’re still sitting on that bench in the park. Nellie is leaning against his shoulder, smiling, as is Rob.

“I’m happy,” she tells them. “In spite of everything that happened, I don’t think I could have come out of my shell if he hadn’t pushed me along.” Nellie says this like she wasn’t sitting with Rob. “But I’m getting my planner back.” She turns to Rob this time. “Do you know how hard it’s been for me to remember things without my planner?”

“You’re the one who threw it away,” he points out.

“You’re the one who used it to flirt with me,” Nellie laughs.

“As if you weren’t flirting back,” Rob answers, kissing her again. He glances at the cameras, realizing that they were still filming. He pulls away from Nellie.

“What does petit chou mean?” the producers ask Rob, who smiles at the camera.

“But what does that have to do with my mum’s company, hmm?” Rob asks, raising his eyebrow and holding his hand up at the lens. “That’s for Nellie to find out. Now bugger off and let me kiss my lady.”

The screen turns black, but you can still hear Nellie giggle in between kisses.

The cameras have Nellie and Rob in the middle distance, holding hands and laughing together. They pull focus, out to a wide view of the park, of the people walking around, of the harpist on the side. Then they zoom out to the bridge disappearing in the fog, then further into the twinkling lights of San Francisco until even the city lights fade to black.

These books are chronicles of her journeys, with a silly love story mixed in.
