“The smoking hot actress from Lost,” Ajax corrected.

“No, I’m being serious,” Kade pressed. “What woman that you actually had a chance with have you ever wished you could see again?”

“Maggie Grace,” Drake repeated. Got chuckles from Sage and Ajax.

  An exasperated look from Kade.

“Why do you ask?” Drake said. Shook his head. “And why am I on the hot seat here?”

Kade motioned towards the bar with his chin. “Because your back’s to the room and you can’t see who just walked in here.”

Drake’s mouth formed into a circle. He started to ask who. Stopped himself. Glanced over his shoulder.

Picked her out the moment he turned.

Same long brown curls. Full lips. Sea green eyes.

“Who just walked in here?” Sage asked. Rose an inch or two out of her seat to look.

Drake turned back to face the table.

  “Emily.”

Kade and Ajax both fell silent.

Sage’s eyes grew large. “You mean Emily Emily?”

  “Uh-huh,” Kade said.

“The proverbial one that got away,” Ajax added.

Drake ignored them all. Stared down at the table.

  Said nothing.
