Miscommunication (What the Billionaire Wants 1) Page 2

Hot Husband gave her a smile that made her legs weak even though she was sitting down. “Where did you have in mind?”

There was an x-ray room down the hall that had been out of use for the past week while repairs were being made on one of the machines. She took Hot Husband with her, quickly grabbing a condom from a supply closet on the way, hand on his wrist. He seemed all too willing to follow her, and she could feel her whole body heat up as she imagined the different ways this could go; but they all ended up with her undressed and in his arms. Her pulse raced at the thought, and her panties, already a bit wet, soaked at the thought. She pushed open the door to the X-Ray room with her back, smiling widely at Hot Husband as she did. He followed, placing his hands on her hips, his fingers like velvet against her, and guiding her back until she felt the edge of one of the cabinets pressing into her spine.

“So,” she said, giving him one of her best smiles. “Shall we continue?”

“Eager, aren’t you?” Hot Husband didn’t wait for an answer. He leaned back down, capturing her lips in another kiss and as she felt his tongue caress hers, his hands slipped down her sides, cupping her bottom. She let out a soft gasp into his mouth, pressing back into the touch. Her whole body was on fire; she felt every touch and caress and it was almost as though she had never done this before.

Tina pressed her hands to Hot Husband’s chest, her nails snagging at the hem as she tried to pull it from his jeans. She wanted to get her hands on his skin – and see if the muscles she could see so well through his shirt would be as well-defined as she hoped they were. He seemed more than happy to let her tug his t-shirt out, his own hands preoccupied with sliding down her scrubs; the fabric sliding slowly against her skin had never felt so good.

Stepping out of the pants of her scrubs, Hot Husband tugged at the light fabric of her panties, ripping them off, eliciting a moan of surprise and desire from Tina. She fumbled with the buttons of his shirt, her haste making the movements awkward. Finally she tore his shirt open, exposing his chest and running her hands all over his firm, tanned skin, feeling his abs, before moving down to the button of his jeans.

Meanwhile, Hot Husband slipped her scrubs over her head, and the cool air on her suddenly exposed skin made her nipples harden even more than they already were. With a single quick movement he undid her bra and it slid, abandoned, to the floor.

Tina pressed her breasts against him as his hands began to wander down her now naked body towards her sex. She moaned as he slipped a finger deep inside her, closing her eyes as she undid his pants and slid them to the ground with him boxers.

His fingers found her clit, and Tina felt like she was melting. Her legs were like jelly, and just when she thought she couldn’t stand up anymore, he grabbed her ass and hoisted her up.

Instinctively wrapping her legs around Hot Husband, he slid inside her in a single motion, turning all her senses up to maximum. Sighing, Tina clutched at his shoulders while leaning back against the cabinet, enjoying the fullness inside of her as he spread her open further than she’d ever been opened before.

Starting slowly, Hot Husband began to thrust in and out of her, then picked up the pace, moving in and out of her, pounding Tina against the cabinet with every piston of his shaft inside of her, his hands squeezing the tight cheeks of her ass. He was rough and gentle at the same time, sending wave after wave of pleasure through Tina. She began to moan louder and louder, Hot Husband pumping faster and faster as Tina demanded more.

“Oh my God, give me more!” she begged, desperate for release, the waves of orgasm coming closer and closer.

Hot Husband grunted in reply, picking her up effortlessly and moving her over to the x-ray table and lying her down on it, moving her ankles up to his shoulders as Tina lay back and looked up at the man who was giving her the greatest experience of her life so far.

It was all too much for her. Every thrust sent more and more pleasure coursing through her, until her body couldn’t take it anymore. The x-ray table shaking under her, Tina grabbed the edge as she came, trying and failing to quell the cry of pleasure that escaped her. Wave after wave of pleasure crested through her, over and over, radiating from her sex as her body was racked with the ultimate pleasure of orgasm.

She stopped breathing, she stopped thinking, she stopped everything as every ounce of her being was focused on the pure, unadulterated pleasure coursing through her veins.

Seconds later she could feel Hot Husband coming inside her, his shaft pulsating against her walls.

Tina opened her eyes once it was all over, laying back on one of the counters and feeling her chest heave with the emotions she was feeling. Her body still tingled with Hot Husband’s touches and the memory of his body pressing hers down into the counter. She wanted to remember this moment forever, but she could also feel the shame and uncertainty washing over her. It wasn’t only the fact that the moniker she had created for him was ‘Hot Husband’, but also that his pregnant wife was down the hall, possibly having her baby at this very moment.

She also knew better than to get into situations like this. Hadn’t she always hated women like her, who stole other people’s husbands? She didn’t know what to think anymore, and pushed herself up and off of the table. Hot Husband shifted until he could rest his head on his hand. “Going somewhere?”

Tina gave him the best smile she could, though she didn’t know whether or not it was as genuine as she hoped. “I have to get back to work. I don’t want to give the attending nurse any more reasons to yell at me today.” She scrambled to put her clothes back on, discarding her torn panties in a garbage can in the corner, hoping no questions would ever be asked about them.

She hadn’t thought about the attending nurse this whole time, and just the thought of her ever finding Tina in a position like this was more than enough to get her clothes on in record time and back in a state where she could appear on the ward without worrying.

“This has been – but I have to go.”

Hot Husband opened his mouth to say something to her, but Tina was out of the door. If she stayed any longer, she was afraid that he could say something that would make her want to stay. It would have been too easy, especially with the way her body had responded to his touches. She wanted a second round – but she had too much to do and with their sexual activities, she had even less time than she wanted to get them done.

Knowing that Hot Husband would never make his way upstairs for any reason, she felt safe continuing on with the jobs that the attending nurse had deemed safe for her to do without messing up. Tina had wasted enough tears on her job today, and it had led to some things that the more she spent time away from, the less sure she was that she wanted to. What kind of man cheated on his wife when she was moments away from having a baby?

It was easier to blame him for everything that had happened than it was to have to admit to herself that she was that woman. Going about the rest of her tasks, she was more than happy to chat with some of the sicker children than she normally way, and filled the rest of the tablet medication without incident. She tucked her clipboard under her arm and made her way back up the corridor. She had to get back to the staff desk before she could leave, but she was happily distracted with patient notes, when Mary nudged her side. Tina hadn’t seen her since Mary had told her that Attending wanted to see her, so she was a bit apprehensive.

  “So.”

Tina raised her eyebrows. “So what?”

Mary’s look was incredulous. “So that hot guy asking after you.”

Tina’s chest tightened in panic. Mary obviously read it on her face because her expression turned positively gleeful. “What hot guy?”

“Oh,” Mary said, with a grin. “Just the guy that left this number for you.”

Taking the proffered piece of paper with a number scribbled down in pencil, Tina looked down at it in mounting horror. “Oh, thank you.”

There was a long pause, and then Mary leaned across the desk. “So, are you going to tell me a
nything about this guy?”

Tina shook her head immediately. “Absolutely not. There’s nothing to know.”

Mary looked skeptical, but thankfully she seemed to realize that Tina wasn’t going to say anything else, and shrugged, picking up her own notepad. “Fine. Don’t tell me.”

“If there was anything to tell,” Tina said. She deliberately didn’t carry on the sentence, knowing that she probably wouldn’t tell Mary anything even if there was anything to say. Mary smiled, though, and turned on her heel, walking off down the corridor. Tina blew out a breath, and then signed off the rest of her duties, shoving the scrap piece of paper into the pocket of her coat, and making her way out of the hospital, thankfully without any more sightings of Hot Husband.

Any hope that Tina had of being able to forget all about Hot Husband were shot when the fact that she’d taken his number was somehow all around the student staffers at the hospital. Mary must have said something to somebody and that had escalated. It didn’t seem to matter to most of them that they didn’t really have anything of substance except for a scribbled number and a hot guy at the hospital. Thankfully, their prying and attempts to get information out of her were half-hearted at best, though she had wanted to tell someone.

Unfortunately for Tina, she was sure that her best friend Maria wasn’t going to understand, and she definitely couldn’t tell a story like this to anyone and come out in a good light. She wished she had never done it, but Hot Husband had just been so alluring that there was nothing she could do as soon as he touched her. It was hard enough to admit to herself that she had done it, let alone anybody else. Her mother was definitely out of the question, and Tina almost laughed out loud to consider it.

The hospital students weren’t going to be around forever, however, and she was going to be back in the classroom in three days, so she felt some relief about that. The Attending nurse was still as terrifying as ever, though Tina had improved enough that she was having to find things to be angry about her instead of being angry about almost everything that she did. It was typical that after settling so well into her nursing now that she was doing it, she was going to have to leave and go back to the classroom.

Riding the bus home that evening, Tina was expecting some amount of uncertainty when she got home. Her mother usually called on weekends, checking up on her and making sure that everything was going well. Still, there would always be the inevitable question about her love life, and while Tina didn’t want to admit the truth, she was beginning to despair that she would never be able to come up with anything that her mother would be happy about. Her mother was one of those women who wanted grandkids, and who wanted Tina to find a husband, and find him now. Unfortunately for Tina, that was the last thing on her mind.

As usual, the bus was crowded with people finishing work, though Tina kept to herself enough that nobody usually bothered her. It helped that the chatter and noise of the bus was more than enough to distract her from her thoughts. Luckily she hadn’t seen Hot Husband around anywhere, so perhaps he and his wife lived far enough outside of the city that the hospital could be their closest, but that she didn’t have to run into him all the time. She had had those kinds of one night stands before, where she had constantly found herself running into the guy and it had been embarrassing and awkward all around.

As she was working her way through the people to get off the bus, her phone started ringing in her bag. Her mother had impeccable timing. She didn’t bother rushing to grab it, just climbed down the steps of the bus and shook out her umbrella. It was raining, which was typical, and she dug her phone out of her bag. Her mother’s number flashed up on the screen and she rolled her eyes. She didn’t call back, knowing that her mother would no doubt call again.

True to form, as she was unlocking the door to her apartment, her phone went off again. Kicking open the door with her foot, she answered her phone.

“Hello sweetheart,” her mother said, launching into conversation without waiting for an answer. “I know you’re back in the classroom soon, but I hope they’re not running you too ragged in that hospital.”

Tina smiled to herself, knowing that her mother’s concern was coming from a place of goodness, but nonetheless wishing that she listened a little more. “You know they are. It’s the job, mom.”

  “I know. I just worry.”

Closing the door with her back and dropping her bag into the hallway, Tina listened to her mother launch into a speech about the rest of the family, and how they were doing, while she walked into the bedroom. She undressed as she went, dropping the clothes on the floor, making a mental note to collect them later. She just wanted to be comfortable right now and relax in front of the TV. She had the weekend to herself before she was back in class, so didn’t have to worry about waking up early, and she had nothing to get up for in the morning. It was looking to be a great night and she dropped back onto her bed, rolling her eyes as, predictably, her mother launched into a diatribe about her love life.

“And you know you’re still single, darling, and I-”

“I’m not,” Tina interjected, before she could stop herself.

  “Really?! You never called!”

Tina clapped a hand over her eyes and bit back on a curse. Why did she put herself into these situations? “Well, I didn’t want to jinx anything by saying anything too soon. It’s new, you know.”

Her mother made a humming noise. Tina could tell she was excited. She would have been offended if she didn’t know that it came from a place of love. “Tell me everything. I want to know all about him.”

“Mom,” Tina whined. She wasn’t about to tell her mom that she slept with someone in the X-Ray room while his wife was having a baby, but she couldn’t not say anything now. “He’s very handsome.”

She could almost see the roll of the eyes her mom gave her. “I don’t doubt that he is very good looking, but you know what I mean.”

Tina could remember Hot Husband as though he was standing in her bedroom. She described him as best she could, his looks and his hair and the way he had smiled at her. She didn’t know what she could say that wasn’t going to put the wrong – or right – idea in her mother’s mind.

“So what’s his name?” Her mom asked, when Tina trailed off about his looks. “You haven’t told me that yet.”

That was because Tina didn’t know his name, not that she could reveal that to her mother.

  “Steve.”

“Steve? Well, I hope that he makes you very happy.”

“He does,” Tina lied, hoping that she at least sounded somewhat confident.

Her mother said no more about it, so Tina figured she had gotten away with it. Thankfully, her mom didn’t seem to want to stay on the phone, which was great, because Tina was beginning to feel awful that she was basically lying about a relationship she wasn’t having with someone. When her mother had finally gone, she tossed the phone on the bed and closed her eyes. Part of her wished that she had kept the number, though she could always end the charade whenever she wanted; her mother was no stranger to the break-up call, and Tina was no stranger to being single.

Still, it would have been nice to hear from the Hot Husband again, but she was more than used to losing out to someone else, though she was sure this time had been of her own making. She had been the one to sleep with the married man, and an impending father at that. She only had herself to blame, as much as she wished that it wasn’t the case.

Slipping down to sit on the end of the bed, she forced herself not to think about it anymore. It was done and over with and dwelling on it was not going to help anybody, least of all her. She would have a ‘break-up’ with him at some point to make her mother happy, and then everything would be fine. For now she had things to do back at home.

The classroom was good for Tina. She had liked the hospital well enough, but she thrived in a classroom environment, and the sooner she got out of the studying part of the degree, the sooner she could graduate and actually start her job i
n the hospital. It was easy enough to fit back into the routine of working in the classroom and at home, though she tried to drop back into the hospital from time to time to check up on some of her regulars, and to keep in touch with some of the nurses she had actually liked.

Though she spent most of her time either at the college or at home, she still found time to sink into some of the things she loved. She went out with some girlfriends, especially Maria, but even though she spent a couple of hours on the dance floor, and guys bought her drinks, she didn’t pick anyone up. There seemed to be something lacking, and she didn’t know what it was. She didn’t want to think that Hot Husband had ruined her for everyone, and refused to let that be the case.

There wasn’t much longer before her final exams, and though she spent as much time cramming and revising as she could, it didn’t help that fear that after all the work she had put in so far, there was still the chance that she might not make it. She spent a lot of time on the phone to her mother the week before, alternating between crying and repeating over and over that she could do it. Her mother was mostly amused, although she didn’t mention the fact that Tina was single once, so there was that.

Thankfully, Tina didn’t have the time to think about anything resembling a love life – or people that might be in it – between the revision papers and going to the campus library with her classmates. Tina was confident that she knew it all, that no matter how much more she revised or crammed, she wasn’t going to add any more information into her already crowded brain.

She spent the night before her final exam ensconced in her apartment, wine in hand and relaxing into the sofa. She had limited herself to one glass; enough to make her comfortable, but not nearly enough to make her hungover for the morning after. There was something low playing on TV, and she closed her eyes, knowing that there was no more she could do; come the end of the summer, she was either going to be a nurse, or she wasn’t going to be a nurse. It would be the former, because Tina had never settled for being less than the best she could be – apart from that one blip on her unblemished record – and she wasn’t about to start now.
