“You know I’ma keep doing what I’ve been doing,” Jonah said kissing Trina on the forehead.
“Ay, blood, congratulations,” Ron said walking back to their section along with Reko, DeAndre, and Omari, “I ain’t gon’ lie. I didn’t really think that you was gon’ do it, boy.”
“You knew?” Trina asked sucking her teeth.
“Of course I knew, baby. That’s like my brother. Why you think I’ve been chauffeuring your high maintenance ass around for so long?”
“Because you love being around me.”
“That’s what you call a distraction.”
“Yeah, whatever.”
The room quickly filled up with all of the Rich Gang, girls trying to be seen, and fire sparked gold bottle after gold bottle. Jonah grabbed two glasses from off the table that sat next to him and handed one to Trina.
“Here’s to us baby I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you,” he said raising his glass.
“I love you too.”
The mood in the room quickly shifted as Y.G.’s “Left, Right” blared through the walls. Everyone went crazy as they felt the effects of the alcohol that continued to flow, but for the rest of the night, all Trina and Jonah could see were each other. At almost 4 a.m., the club finally decided to let out. Dre and club Lux definitely made a good first impression on the city.
“Ya’ll ready?” Omari asked with his arm wrapped around Yari. The alcohol in his system had him feeling more affectionate than usual.
“Yeah, let me just go holla at DeAndre right quick,” Jonah said standing up to leave, “Trina, baby, you good?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” she slurred, “I’ll meet you outside.”
Ron walked up behind her and placed his hand on the small of her back. “She’s good, bruh. I got her.”
“Just give me five minutes,” Jonah yelled over his shoulder.
When they all got outside, the crowd slowly dispersed. People freely politicked out in the streets. DeAndre was able to hold off on the cops who usually circled the area like sharks for a fee of course. Ron escorted Trina back to the limo with Omari, Yari, Reko, and a few strays close behind. She was drunk, but the night still had her on cloud nine. She looked down at her ring in between long blinks under the dim light; it was perfect. Ten minutes later, Jonah climbed into the limo joining the party that continued inside. Reko and his invited guests continued to pop bottles as if time was still on their side.
“Blood, the event is in a couple hours,” Jonah said disapprovingly, “It’s time to refocus.”
“I am focused. Focused on this pussy,” Reko said unable to quiet his voice, “I’m good. I’ll be there. You know if nobody else is there, I’ma be there.”
“Good cause I already made the flight arrangements, so we leave for Miami later tonight instead of Monday once we wrap up everything at the center.”
“Sounds good to me, G,” Reko said returning his attention to the two girls sitting quietly beside him.
“What about you, Mar?”
“It’s whatever, bruh.” Yari quickly rolled her eyes.
“I thought you were leaving Monday?” Trina asked sobering up a little.
“Change of plans, baby.”
“Well, thanks for telling me. Now, I have to…”
“Trina, chill, we’ll talk about this at home, okay?” She knew better than to press the issue. Jonah had always made her a part of his operations, but lately, he was being so secretive. She knew something had to be wrong. Forty minutes later, the limo pulled back up in front of Jonah’s house as the sun came up.
“Alright, ya’ll, I’ll see you in like six hours.”
“I’m going to the hut right now,” Omari said in between yawns.
“No rest for the weary,” Jonah laughed.
“Bye,” Trina said as she got out right behind him.
“Bye,” everyone said in unison except for Yari. She was already passed out.
Trina walked up to the front door and retrieved her keys from her small clutch.
“Wait, wait, wait,” Jonah yelled running from behind her.
“What?”
“We gotta do this right,” he said softly kissing her lips as he scooped her up in his arms.
“Jonah, we’re not even married yet.”
“Well, today, let’s act like it.”
She grabbed tightly to Jonah’s neck as he led her into the house and across the threshold.
“What time is it?”
“Like 5:00 a.m.”
“I’ma lay down for a few hours,” she said climbing out of his arms once they got inside, “I’m tired.”
“Don’t you think we should celebrate?” he said licking his lips.
“Baby,” Trina whined. She already knew what was on his mind.
“You can sleep on the plane,” he offered.
“Plane? So you’re letting me go?” she screamed.
“Yes, you knew you were coming. Franco is always happy to see you. I don’t know why you even act like that.”
“Because lately, Jonah, you have been leaving me in the dark about a whole bunch of shit, and I don’t like it.”
“I know, and I’m sorry. The last thing I want to do it to keep secrets from you. I just had to wrap my mind around the situation.”
“So what happened?”
“Mal, got popped, and we don’t know who did it. Reko thinks it’s some out of town niggas, but I don’t see the motive. I mean we’ve had shit on lock for a cool minute now.”
“Maybe that’s the problem. Your elevation in RG is so high at this point that you can’t see what’s really going on right underneath you.”
“Maybe, but usually whenever some shit like this happens, the streets get to talking fast, but right now, everyone’s silent.”
“What’s the plan then?”
“I wanna meet up with Franco and talk about drying out the lines a little while longer. If there are some niggas out there plotting on RG then that is guaranteed to bring the rats out.”
“Whatever you need me to do, baby. I’m here,” Trina said kissing Jonah on the lips.
“You know this is why I love you, right?”
“Why?”
“I’ve never been with a female who truly took an interest in what I do. I mean I’m not tryna turn you into a queen pin or anything like that, but it’s a relief to know that the woman I plan to spend my life with has my back, you know? You’ve always held me down, and I appreciate that.”
“I swear I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else,” she said kissing him again. Unable to ignore the hardening bulge in his pants, Trina slowly got down on both knees and unzipped his pants never taking her eyes away from his. In one swift motion, she freed what had been trying so hard to get out and popped it into her hot, wet mouth. Jonah grabbed ahold of the stair railing trying to hold himself up as her tongue twirled around his dick. Finding her rhythm, she continued to bob up and down as she cupped his balls in her hand. Jonah grabbed her by her hair and guided her to exactly where he needed her to be.
“Oooohhhh, yeah, baby, just like that.” Feeling himself about to explode, he stopped her. “Not yet, baby, I’ve been waiting to feel that pussy all night.”
“Is that right?”
“Yeah, that’s right. Just watching you dance got my dick hard,” he said pulling his pants up.
He grabbed Trina’s hand and led her to the guest bedroom in the back of the house. Realizing that she wasn’t going to get any sleep anytime soon, she began to leave a trail of clothes behind her as she followed Jonah. By the time they got to the back, she was completely naked. Waiting for Jonah to devour her, she sat on the edge of the bed with her legs spread wide open. He could see her juices glistening under the light of the sunrise, so he dove in face first. Trina threw her head back in ecstasy, and Jonah grabbed her full C-cup breasts and lightly played with her nipples as he continued to fuck her with his tongue.
Jonah pulled himself off of her and got undress
ed. He slowly pulled his shirt over his head exposing his broad, smooth dark chocolate chest. Trina never took her eyes off of him. He unzipped his pants and then lay down on the bed. His ten-inch dick stood straight up and was begging for some attention. He spit into the palm of his hand and began to stroke his throbbing hardness, and Trina knew exactly what to do. She hovered over him and rubbed the tip of his dick across her clit making him even harder. Feeling her softness sent him over the edge, so he grabbed her by the hips and slammed her down on top of him. A sharp pain shot throughout her body but was soon replaced with pleasure. Trina rode Jonah back and forth grinding her clit against him. Meeting his impact, she bounced up and down as sweat covered their skin. She had never been so comfortable with a man before Jonah. They had spent the past year getting to know each other’s bodies inside and out. Taking control, Jonah flipped her over and laid her down on her stomach. As she lay flat, she kept her ass in the air allowing him to ease back in. The slippery sound of Jonah moving in and out of her filled the room.
“I want that pussy to cum on this dick, baby,” Jonah whispered.
He always made Trina cum, so with just a few more strokes and a couple more wet back kisses, she squirted all over his balls. Her pussy began to pulsate sending him over the edge. He pulled his dick out and sprayed hot cum across her back like a water hose. Without saying a word, he walked out into the guest bathroom and grabbed a small wash cloth. He soaked it with some warm water and soap, and when he got back into the room, he slowly washed off the mess he made. Trina’s almond-colored skin was soft to the touch as his fingers traced their love making.
“Baby, you hungry?” he asked beginning to clean himself off, but Trina never answered, “Baby?”
The room fell silent and all that could be heard was her snoring. Jonah covered her up as she lay in the exact same position he left her in. He laid down beside her and kissed her cheek before attempting to meet her in her dreams.
Chapter 4
“Trina, wake up,” Jonah said frantically running around the room.
“What?” she groaned. She pulled the covers over her head trying to hide from the day light.
“Baby, look at me,” he said grabbing ahold of her until she was sitting straight up, “We overslept. It’s almost 1 p.m., and the camera crew will be here in fifteen minutes.”
“Camera crew?” she asked now giving him her full attention.
“Yes, KCRA 3 hit me up a few weeks ago and said that they wanted to run a story on me and the drive. I didn’t really think they were serious though.”
“Baby, that’s amazing,” Trina shrieked, “but you know damn well I’m not gonna be ready in nobody’s fifteen minutes.”
“Not with that attitude you won’t,” he said helping her out of bed, “Go do what you need to do, and I’ll take care of the rest.”
As Trina walked out of the room toward their bedroom upstairs, Jonah popped her on the ass making her cheek sting at the touch hoping to spark a little more motivation in her. After rolling her eyes, she ran upstairs to the room and immediately headed for her closet. The outfit she had bought for the event was patiently hanging up.
“I don’t care what time it is,” she mumbled to herself, “He not bout to have me out here looking crazy.”
As she walked into the bathroom to turn on the water, everything that happened the night before came rushing back. She looked down at her ring, and it took her breath away just like the first time. She looked around the room and was thankful for Jonah. In just a year, he had helped to strengthen the woman she had become. She was blessed.
“Ten minutes, Trina,” he yelled from the bottom of the stairs.
Rolling her eyes again, she quickly stepped into the shower. After only a few minutes, she hopped out, and in a whirlwind of makeup, hair and skincare products, she managed to pull herself together again. The big ninja bun that neatly on top of her head accentuated the form fitting cardigan and pencil skirt she adorned.
“Trina,” she heard Jonah yell again.
“I’m coming. I’m coming,” she said rushing to put on her black Bdonnas pumps.
As she descended the stairs, the foyer became filled with strange people holding cameras of all sizes. Jonah was giving the station’s producer and his crew a tour of the property before he saw Trina.
“Jake, I want you to meet my lovely fiancée Trina Mitchell. Baby, this is Jake from KCRA 3.”
“Very nice to meet you.”
“You as well,” Jake smiled, “Let me just say you two have a beautiful home.”
“Thank you.”
“Now I know cameras can sometimes be intimidating, but I’m pretty sure someone of your beauty can’t be camera shy.”
“Ay, man, are you flirting with my girl right in front of me?”
“Can you blame me?” Jake asked laughing, “Okay, in all seriousness, we’ll get a few shots of you two here. Then we’ll pack up and go to the rec center, and we’ll be there until we get everything we need.”
“Sounds like a plan to me.”
“Jonah, thank you again for doing this. Your father did a lot of great things for the community, so I’m glad to see you following in his footsteps.”
“My pleasure, man,” he said honored to be a part of his father’s legacy.
“Okay, everyone, let’s quickly get set up in the living room,” Jake said trying to organize his team, “Jonah, give us a few minutes.”
“Of course, take your time.”
“Baby, do you think that all this publicity is good for you know, ummm, business?” Trina whispered pulling him to the side.
“Why wouldn’t it be?”
“Do you think a largely known drug dealer should have his face plastered on TV for the whole city to see?”
“Maybe not a drug dealer, no, but a business man, yes. As far as these white people know, I own several businesses in the greater Sacramento area and so do my niggas. My extracurriculars have nothing to do with today. Relax, okay? This is a good publicity piece for me, the rec center, and all the vendors and sponsors I was able to lock down. It’s a win-win for everybody.”
“Okay, you know better than me.”
“And don’t you forget it,” he said kissing her on the lips. Suddenly his phone began to ring, and before he even looked down, he already knew who it was. “Ay, babe, let me take this. Tell Jake I’ll be right back.” Not giving Trina a chance to respond, he was out of the front door.
Feeling out of place with the small crowd of people whom filled her house, Trina went into the kitchen to get some water. As soon as she walked in, she could see her reflection in the patio window. There was something familiar about her plain-Jane look, and for the day, she was going to embrace it.
“Trina, Jonah, we’re ready for you,” Jake said walking into the kitchen before the last rounded ice cube hit her glass.
“Jonah stepped outside to take a call. He should be back in a few.”
“No worries,” he said, “We’ll just get you set up in the meantime.”
“Sure.”
Trina followed him back into the living room and made herself comfortable on their $5,000 couch in front of a wall of black cameras.
“So how long have you two been engaged?”
“We’ve been together for about a year now, but Jonah actually just proposed to me last night,” she said unable to hide her excitement.
“Congrats.”
“Thank you.”
“We’re going to shoot some filler footage,” he said leaning in a little bit more, “I’m just going to ask you a few questions.”
“Okay,” Trina said straightening out her skirt.
“What are some of the things you admire about Jonah?”
“Well, let’s see, Jonah is one of the hardest working people I know,” she said smiling, “I don’t even think he remembers what sleep really is. He’s very active in his community. From owning a couple laundry mats to grocery stores, Jonah has made sure to share his same success with t
hose around him. He invests the money he makes and helps so many other people become business owners too and just continue to grow. Being that the area he grew up in was and still is predominantly black, he’s big on giving back to the place that helped shape who he is today.”
“So this drive means a lot to him then, right?”
“Oh, yes, most definitely. Jonah’s dad was a preacher, so although he didn’t follow the cloth, he’s a big advocate for his community. I mean with the drive, he’s gotten at least forty to fifty sponsors to help out from the food to the music to the actual donations for the kids. This is a complete ‘Give Back’ effort. I am very proud to be by his side, and I don’t know where I would be without him.”
“There’s the man of the hour,” Jake said looking up.
“Sorry, there were a few glitches down at the center, but I think things are under control at this point. What I miss?” Jonah asked sitting down beside Trina.
“We’ll just need to get a few more shots of you two, and then I think we can head on out. Trina gave us a lot to work with.”
. . .
Twenty minutes later, Jake and his crew finally made their way back to their news vans before heading down to the Northgate center.
“You got everything, babe?” Jonah asked as he locked the door behind them.
“Yep,” she said grabbing his hand.
“Thank you so much for your patience on this.”
“You don’t have to thank me. That’s what I’m here for, baby.”
“Well, I wanted to say it anyway. I have so many people depending on me. I just want everything to be perfect.”
“And it will be. Relax,” Trina said laughing, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you this nervous.”
“I’m better now. I talked to Omari and Reko, and they got everything set up and taken care of.”
“See, now just breathe. Tonight we’ll be on a plane to Miami,” she said getting into the car.
“You’re right,” he said trying to relax a little.
As he pulled out, Jake and his crew followed closely behind. Trina watched them from the rearview mirror in admiration of her man. She slid her hand over to his as it was resting on the gearshift.
