Neville & Deacon Page 8

by Lynn Stark

It was obvious by the time they had made their way around the store, Neville seeing things he had never known existed before, Deacon was determined to encourage Neville’s newly discovered naughty side.

By the time they reached the counter where Jessica waited, Neville was trembling. Deacon had chosen a paddle and promised to use it, if Neville wore a pair of the racy boy shorts they had chosen together. There was also the dildo he’d told Neville he would use on him, while Neville was draped over his lap.

Wow, had his life gone from boring to mind-blowing. It was definitely not something he would share with his parents. But he would tell them he had met someone nice.

Deacon paid for the purchases, and Jessica took Neville behind the counter. “You have the job,” she told him in her quiet voice. “All I need you to do is fill out your personal information. When can you start your training?” He told her he would like to give a few days’ notice to his present employer. She nodded and smiled in agreement. Then he told her his school schedule. “Oh, it should work out perfectly. Call me as soon as you can, to let me know when you will be able to start. Sometime tomorrow.”

  “I can do that.”

Neville filled out the information she needed. When he came to the emergency contact number, he looked up. Deacon was across the store, looking through a rack of leather pants. Neville sent up a prayer, hoping the man bought a pair. The thought of seeing Deacon wearing them made his dick get hard.

  “Uh, Deacon?”

Deacon turned to look at him. Not wanting to miss the opportunity, Neville glanced at the buttery leather pants and nodded. Then he asked, ignoring Deacon’s roguish grin, “Can I put you down as my emergency contact?”

  “Of course, baby.”

Warmed all the way to his toes by the Deacon’s tone, Neville filled in the last blanks on the screen. He’d memorized Deacon’s phone number. When he was finished, he shook hands with Jessica and quickly went around the counter as his lover returned with the pants. It was all Neville could do to not come right then and there.

After Deacon paid for the chosen items, they gathered their bags and left the store. Neville was happy. He had a wonderful man as a lover and a new boss he suspected he might fall in love with. The thought made him chuckle.

They dropped off their purchases at the apartment. As they did so, Neville wondered if it was too soon to ask if Deacon wanted to move in with him on a permanent basis. Sex was one thing. He understood that. And he understood, too, that Deacon was fond of him. But he didn’t want to rush him into something he might not want or wasn’t ready for. That could cause their budding relationship to blow up in his face, something he wanted to avoid at all costs.

As they walked back toward the door, pulling on their coats as they did so, Neville blurted out, “Deacon, do you want to move in with me?”

Horrified, he slapped his hand over his mouth and stared at Deacon with wide eyes. Well, it looked like he was going to find out how Deacon felt about him and their future. He hoped the man didn’t break his heart.

Deacon turned around to look at him. A smile spread across his handsome face, and the expression in his gorgeous gray eyes made Neville feel warm and fuzzy all the way down to his toes.

“Do you really want me to move in with you permanently? Like sharing the same room and everything?”

“You can sleep in my bed, too,” he offered, then felt his face turn bright red. Yeah, that had to be about the dumbest thing he’d ever said.

Deacon moved closer. “Thank you, baby. That’s very generous of you.” Leaning down, he pressed a kiss to Neville’s lips. “Yes, I’ll move in. Since almost all of my stuff is here, I’ll just move across the hall to your room. It does have a larger bed.”

“A better mattress, too.” Neville giggled. “I already tried them out.”

  “You sneaky little devil.”

The moment Deacon’s hands went under his coat, Neville knew he was in trouble. He was ticklish in the worst kind of way. He doubled over, laughing hysterically as Deacon tortured him for a few seconds. Then he was on the floor, gasping for breath, and staring up at the man he loved.

Neville sucked in a breath as he realized what he had just admitted to himself. Although he had suspected he was falling in love with Deacon, he hadn’t accepted it fully. After all, they hadn’t known each other long, and he had never believed in love at first sight.

A low moan escaped him as Deacon lowered himself onto Neville. He supported his weight on his elbows. They stared at each other, their emotions clearly in their eyes. The intensity was almost too much for Neville. He swallowed hard, his breathing becoming shallow. The heat of desire swept through him. Deacon pressed his hips forward and ground their hard dicks together. The whimper that escaped Neville’s lips was unmanly, but it was captured by Deacon as his mouth began to work his like a master. His tongue plunged inside, exploring and caressing, until Neville felt his balls tighten and a warning tingle run up his spine.

Oh, fuck, not again! He began to push at Deacon’s broad shoulders. His lover stopped at once and lifted his head. Neville panted as he tried to regain control of his body.

“I don’t want to come yet,” he told Deacon. “I want to wait until later.”

Deacon winked and levered himself away. He rose to his feet and held out his hand. Neville took it and was lifted to stand beside the taller man. “We can do that. Why don’t we go finish moving the both of us? That way we can do nothing but relax and play later.”

“That sounds like a plan I can live with.”

After they moved the last of Neville’s painting supplies upstairs, and finished emptying the packed bed of Deacon’s truck, they went to supper at a diner on the square. It looked much like it had fifty or sixty years before, with black-and-white checked tiles and red vinyl covers on the booth seats, chairs, and stools at the counters. There was a lot of chrome and a huge jukebox that was as impressive now as it had been when it was first installed. It was a cheerful place to enjoy a meal and one of the reasons why he had chosen it.

“I sure worked up an appetite,” Neville said as he scooted into the booth, Deacon following him in.

“I think you have a hollow leg.” He opened a menu he’d memorized long ago. The only change ever made to it was the prices, and that didn’t happen all that often.

“That’s what my grandfather used to say when we’d go over for Sunday dinner.”

“Are your grandparents still alive?” Deacon asked carefully. He smiled at the waitress in the vintage-style uniform as she brought them both a glass of ice water.

“They are. All four of them. I hope to go see them next summer, after they go back home from Florida. Is the liver and onions any good here?” he asked, peering closing at the menu.

Deacon chuckled. “The best I’ve ever had.”

  “Cool. That’s what I’ll get.”

A minute later Neville was giving his order to the waitress, adding on mashed potatoes and green beans. As he did so he stroked Deacon’s thigh. Deacon covered the brat’s teasing hand with his as he ordered a cheeseburger with everything on it, as well as fries.

“What about your family?” Neville asked him, leaning on his elbows and cupping his chin on his interlaced fingers. “I know one brother is in Hong Kong, and you have a sister in Copenhagen. Then there’s your cousin Harry.” Neville giggled as Deacon scowled at the mention of his cousin’s name. The man had called him several times. Deacon had finally told him he would arrest him, if he didn’t stop. “Your father, uncle, and aunt run the saloon. What does your mom do?”

“She’s a lawyer. If you want, we can go to their house for Sunday dinner. There’s a standing invitation. You don’t even have to call ahead of time. They always cook so much food that extra guests are well fed. They just put more plates out on the table when someone arrives. As to my other siblings, I have a sister and two brothers who live near here. You’ll meet them this weekend.”

  “
Sunday dinner sounds like fun. I can’t wait to go! Do they do anything afterward?”

Deacon nodded, pleased that Neville was so interested in his family. “It depends on the season. There’s football, of course. That’s a given. We watch rodeo competitions, too. We have younger relatives that compete. Then there are a multitude of cooking shows to choose from. And if there’s absolutely nothing to interest on TV, we play games.”

“Oh, I can’t wait!” Neville repeated. He was flushed, and his eyes were bright with excitement. Deacon knew his family was going to fall in love with Neville, as he was doing. “I think we should take something. Maybe some wine? Do they drink wine?”

He nodded. “We can do wine. It’s a great idea.”

  Neville glowed.

Their food came then. They talked about their plans for the rest of the day. They decided they would play it by ear, once they were home. As Neville’s cheeks flushed, Deacon knew his lover was hoping to play with the items they had purchased at Totally Discreet. Deacon was, too, but he would never push Neville. He suspected the man didn’t have a lot of experience with love and sex. Neville had shared some information about past boyfriends. The relationships had been total disasters. Neville had described them as failures from the start, and he hadn’t been surprised when they had crashed and burned. One of the reasons why Deacon was in no rush to get Neville into bed, despite his teasing, was because he wanted to prove he was different than the men whom had seduced the sweet, trusting guy.

After they ate they bundled up in their coats once again and walked around the square twice before going home. Deacon had to admit that the loft apartment was quite an improvement over the house he had rented from Harry. It could have been a delightful little place, if Harry had put the money into it. Unfortunately for his cousin, it was likely that the town would soon get involved. People weren’t allowed to let their properties get run down or turned into junkyards. If they needed financial help, which Harry didn’t, there were ways to get it to help make improvements. Harry would be forced to improve his property.

“I’m ready to get warmed up. We can try out the fireplace,” Neville said as they walked up the stairs.

There was a gas fireplace, but neither of them had turned it on yet. “Sounds like a plan. Maybe we can rearrange the furniture a little.”

“That’s a good idea. I’d like to move it back, so my work area is larger. I wouldn’t want to get paint on anything, but I’d like to put a small table and a couple of chairs by the windows, so we can eat there, if we want, and nice, comfy chairs for reading. Do you like to read?”

“I do. You have some good ideas. There’s plenty of room.”

The apartment was probably close to thirty feet wide and a hundred feet long. There was space for everything Neville wanted to do.

Their conversation continued once they were in the apartment and the door was locked behind them. Now that Neville had been primed, the ideas for decorating were spilling out of him. Deacon watched as he went to one point and another, his hands waving about, describing how they could decorate the place to make it both homey and beautiful. He thought it was a good thing he had Neville. If it was up to him, he could make the place look nice, but it would have no pizzazz. Neville, on the other hand, described with such detail that Deacon could easily see how their apartment would look.

However, once the descriptions petered out, he turned to look at Deacon. He looked sad. “What’s wrong, baby?” he asked as he walked across the room to take Neville into his arms. The man smelled delicious, his masculine scent mixed with the soap he’d used. “You were so high. Now you look like someone stole your crayons.”

Neville chuckled. “Kids were always stealing my crayons. They thought they were special, because I could draw things they couldn’t. I’ll have my mom send one of my earlier ‘portfolios.’” He made quotation marks and wrinkled his button nose in the most adorable way possible. It actually made Deacon’s dick perk up. “She has a collection of them.” He laughed again, joy and amusement evident. “She says they’ll be worth millions someday. She and Dad will be able to retire on their own island in the tropics.”

“That’s great, baby, but you got sidetracked.” He suspected that happened a lot, along with the man falling into his daydreaming moments. “Why did you get sad?”

“Well, I was thinking about how much time it will be before we can get the table and chairs, and maybe the curtains and stuff. I know I don’t have the money to do it right now. And I don’t think you should spend your money to buy all of it.”

“What would you say to a solution to that problem?”

  “Sure.”

“There’s a secondhand store that sells very nice stuff. It’s all clean and in good repair. I wouldn’t be surprised if we can find the table and chairs, and the reading chairs, for less than three hundred dollars. That won’t break me. We can probably get a couple of area rugs, too, and some knickknacks to give the place a more personal touch.”

“That sounds like a good idea. With the new job, I’ll be able to pay back my share in no time. When can we go?”

They had already had a very busy day, and Deacon was about to suggest they relax, but the pleading in Neville’s gorgeous green eyes was his undoing. He had the feeling that he would rarely be able to say no to the man.

He also suspected they weren’t going to do much that night, except fall asleep. So why not do some shopping?

“We can go now. The store is open until seven o’clock.”

Two hours later they were seated, exhausted, in front of the fire. They had found an assortment of furniture to complete the apartment and make their own statement. They had purchased two modern-looking lamps, two deep armchairs, and a huge ottoman for their reading nook, as well as two large area rugs that still had plenty of life left in them. The table for their meals was placed in the center of one. It was surrounded by four wood chairs. Although Neville had claimed he didn’t like knickknacks because it made it difficult to dust, they had chosen several vases and bowls to add color throughout the apartment.

“I think it all looks wonderful,” Neville said from his place leaning against Deacon’s chest as they stared at the flickering flames a few feet away. He heard Neville yawn and felt the stiffening of his body as he stretched. “I like making a home with you.”

“I like making a home with you, too. Maybe we should have saved some of the home decorating for another day. You sound exhausted.”

“I’m good. I’ll have my second wind soon, and then we can fool around.”

Deacon smiled and leaned down to kiss the top of his head. “Don’t forget, it wasn’t that long ago that you were very sick. I’m not going to risk you getting sick again.”

“You just suck all the fun out of everything.”

Neville tipped his head back and poked the tip of his tongue out, letting Deacon know that he wasn’t serious. After a few seconds of silence as they watched the fire, he said quietly, “Thank you, Deacon. This has been one of the best days of my whole life.”

His heart swelled as Neville’s emotion-filled words filled his soul. This is what he had been waiting for all of his adult life, a man he could fall in love with, one who would complete him.

“I’ll have to remember to buy used furniture for you more often.”

A small hand smacked his thigh. “You butthead, you know what I mean.”

Deacon pulled Neville across his lap and cuddled him close. “Yeah, I know what you mean.” They stared at each other. Deacon could see the love in Neville’s green eyes. “It’s been one of the best days of my life, too.”

With Neville pulled close to his chest, Deacon lowered his head and captured the sexy man’s lips with his. Neville’s moan filled his mouth. He teased the seam between the soft flesh with the tip of his tongue. The plump lips parted, giving him access to the sweetness beyond. The intensity of their kiss increased tenfold as Neville’s slender arms wrapped around his neck, holding on tight as he returned
Deacon’s kiss with equal passion.

Not wanting to waste another moment, Deacon slid an arm under Neville’s legs and lifted the man as he stood. Then he was carrying him to their bedroom and placing him on the bed, breaking the kiss off as he did so.

“Get your clothes off, baby. I don’t have the patience to undress you.” He unbuttoned his shirt as Neville began to tear at his clothes. His gaze never wavered as inch after inch of soft skin was revealed. “Now, that’s beautiful.”

Deacon yanked off his shirt and tossed it across the room. He then unbuckled his belt and unfastened his jeans. Hooking his thumbs in his waistband, he pushed them and his underwear to his ankles. His cock sprang free, slapping against his belly. This was the first time Neville had seen him completely naked, and he stared, his jaw dropping. Deacon didn’t know whether to laugh or preen.

“Come on, baby, let me help you.” Neville had stopped with his sock half off, when he had stared at Deacon. Deacon grabbed the sock and pulled it off. Then he was going after the other and the man’s jeans and the two pairs of thermal underwear he had beneath them. “Now, there’s what I’ve been thinking about all day. Your beautiful cock, hard and weeping sweet droplets of cum.”

Neville nodded vigorously. “Yes, really anticipating having your cock in my ass. But, first, I want to do this.”

He crawled around on the bed until he could take the head of Deacon’s cock into his mouth. He had to open wide. His cock slid over Neville’s tongue, and Deacon groaned as the wet heat engulfed his aching shaft. The soft flesh lining Neville’s mouth caressed him. As his fingers slid into Neville’s hair, he tightened them and held on.

A moan vibrated through him, from his cock, to his balls, and spreading from there. Neville’s mouth slid up and down the length of his shaft, his enthusiasm for his task obvious. His moans were getting louder and longer. The tip of Neville’s naughty tongue tickled the small slit in the head, before it swirled around the flared rim, and then rapidly flicked against the ultra-sensitive bundle of nerves beneath it.
