Acknowledgements
This book exists thanks to the lively imaginations of my eldest boys, Johnny, Tennyson, Reagan, and Calvin, who helped me dream Jandaria and the storyline into existence. They are young men now, and this book is a monument to that period of our lives together. (This book is also part of their college fund, so thanks go to my readers for buying it!)
Thanks also go to my amazing launch team, too numerous to list in full. You all are the best.
I also appreciate my fantastic Beta readers, who helped sharpen the story in countless ways: David Needham, Hank Ivy, Rob Hirschfeld, Rebecca Wiltberger, Patrick Meehan, Jennifer Cloonan, Ray Dunsworth, Katya Thomas, James Poteet, Marco Moor, and Bryce Jahner.
About the Author
J. Wesley is a lifelong geek with an abiding love of fantasy and sci-fi.
Life has taken him in some weird and wonderful directions, and these experiences shape his fiction: he’s previously served as a U.S. Foreign Service diplomat, airborne infantryman, military crypto-linguist, NGO worker, history adjunct, and tow-truck driver in the desert.
J. Wesley speaks Russian and Swahili, and is presently learning Albanian in preparation for a move to Kosovo. He lives in Washington, DC and has worked abroad in Kenya, Ukraine, and The Bahamas.
He has an amazing wife, five sons, and (finally!) a daughter.
