“How is that fair? You should have what you want, too.”

“We will, sweetheart. As long as you’re satisfied and happy, we will be, too.”

  “That’s so sweet.”

Spence’s heart flipped when he saw the soft look in her eyes. If he’d been an arrogant asshole, his chest would have puffed up with pride. Instead, he took a deep breath and leaned forward to kiss her lightly on the lips.

He drew back and met her gaze again. “I’ve never been called sweet in my life. There’s nothing sweet about me, honey.”

  Misha smirked. “I know different.”

Spence shuddered when the tip of her finger trailed around the outside of his areola. His cock twitched and pulsed. His balls felt full and tight, as if the seed in his testes was roiling around in them. Misha must have felt his cock twitch against her thigh because she shifted away slightly and trailed her finger down over his chest, torso and abs. When she got to his pubis, she sifted her fingers lightly through his trimmed pubes and caressed her fingers down his hard length.

“So hard and yet so soft. I can’t believe how hot you feel.”

“You keep doing that, sweetheart, and I’ll burn the skin off your hand.”

Misha giggled and she leaned up and placed her lips against his. Spence wanted to devour her, but before he got lost in her kisses, in her passion, he needed to make sure she wasn’t hurting.

“Are you sore, honey?” Spence caressed his hands up and down her back and bit the inside of his cheek when she moaned and arched her hips into his body.

  “I’m a little tender, but I don’t care.”

“I do.” Spence sighed and went to roll over onto his back, but Misha tightened her hold on his cock.

“Please, Spence. I want you to make love to me. Please?”

Spence loved that she wanted him enough to plead with him, and since he wanted her as badly as she seemed to want him, he couldn’t deny her.

He caressed his hand up her back to the back of her neck and threaded his fingers into her hair, holding her in place as he lowered his mouth to hers. She was so eager she met him halfway and he was drowning. Drowning in her taste, in her kisses, in her scent and in her passion. There was no way he’d ever be able to get enough of her, no matter how many times he had her. And there was definitely no way he was ever going to let her escape him and Clay now that they’d found her.

Spence couldn’t get close enough to her. It didn’t seem to matter that their bodies were pressed together from chest to knees. The need to possess her was so strong it almost bordered on obsession, but it wasn’t an unhealthy obsession. He craved her. Craved to have her touching him at all times, but it wasn’t just about the sexual aspect of things. He wanted to spend hour upon hour talking to her, watching her smile and laugh and seeing the happy glow in her eyes. Her personality was so light compared to his and Clay’s darkness. Not even when she was devastated by her friend’s death had he seen darkness inside of her. Misha seemed to glow from the inside out with a vitality he wanted to share.

He wanted to crawl under her skin and bury himself in her heart and never leave.

She was the very air he breathed. She was his life and he’d do absolutely anything to keep her happy and safe.

Spence rolled them over until she was beneath him, and when she turned her head away to gasp in air, he licked and nibbled on her neck. He’d watched her while Clay had made love to her, taking note of every nuance, sigh, and gasp. The skin just beneath her ear was a highly erogenous zone on Misha and he lapped and sucked at it, loving every moan and gasp she made.

Her hands smoothed over his shoulders and down his back as far as she could reach before making the return journey. Spence scooted down her body, licking his way toward her breasts, before taking first one nipple and then the other into his mouth, suckling on each sensitive nub until she writhed under him.

She spread her legs wider, bowing her hips up into his and making him groan. His shaft slipped through her wet heat, the head of his dick rubbing against her protruding clit, and she gasped.

  “Spence! I need you. Now!”

Spence released her nipple, crawled back up her body until they were eye level, and braced his weight on one arm. He grabbed hold of his cock, aligned it with her entrance, and pushed in.

She moaned while he held his breath. She was so fucking hot, wet and tight that he was worried he was hurting her, but when he looked into her eyes, all he saw was desire.

“So good. More. Give me more,” Misha demanded.

Since there was no way in hell he wanted to hurt her, he ignored her demand, and slowly eased his way into her tight sheath. He ground his teeth to the point of pain, keeping his control on a tight rein.

When he was inside of her, balls deep, he exhaled loudly and began to withdraw just as slowly as he’d entered her. Misha lifted her legs around his hips, her arms around his neck, and breathed into his ear. “Fuck me, Spence. Stop holding back. Give me everything you’ve got.”

Spence growled just before he surged in deep. As soon as he touched bottom, he retreated and drove back in again and again.

Misha’s breathing became rapid and shallow and she began to rock her hips in time to his thrusts. He lowered his mouth back to hers, kissing her passionately, all but devouring her as the heat began to build at the base of his spine, but there was no fucking way he was going over before she did. He shifted to his knees, hooked his arms beneath her knees, and changed the angle of his thrusts. He watched her mouth gape open and her eyes glaze over even more when the head of his cock hit her sweet spot.

When he felt her legs begin to tremble, he knew that she was getting close, but so was he. The heat at his back had already spread to his balls and they were beginning to move up closer to his body. Spence moved until he could reach her clit, and the second he applied pressure on the little nub with his finger, she screamed.

Her pussy got wetter as she coated his dick in her cum, and when her internal muscles began to flex around his cock, he was gone.

Spence’s rhythm was shot to hell and he plunged into her before withdrawing, only to shove into her again and again. His balls hardened to the point of pain as they drew up to his body and his cock felt as if it grew in girth.

He pumped into her one more time with a shout and held still as he came. His body shuddered and juddered as fire raced up his dick. Load after load of cum spumed from the tip of his penis until he swore his balls turned inside out. Each time he shot another wad, Misha’s pussy clamped down around his dick as if trying to draw out every drop of semen he had to give.

By the time he had nothing left, his arms and legs were shaking in reaction to an orgasm so profound his eyes burned with tears. He’d never felt such a powerful climax in his life and knew he wouldn’t ever again, if Misha decided she couldn’t be with him and Clay. He pushed that negative thought aside, because there was no damn way in hell he was letting her leave him. Not when he loved her so much.

Spence rolled them to their sides, causing them both to moan when his softening cock slipped from her body, and pulled her into his arms. He kissed her head and caressed her back as her breathing slowed and she relaxed against him. When her breathing evened out, he knew she’d fallen asleep.

A frisson of fear skittered up his spine when he remembered how he and Clay had first met Misha and he hoped that those circumstances didn’t turn out to be as ominous as they felt.

  * * * *

Misha moaned and stretched as she came awake, smiling with contentment when her body ached in places it had never ached before. She’d slept the whole night through for the first time since Janice had been murdered and that was because Clay and Spence had slept in the big bed with her. She’d been so warm and felt safe when she was between them, and it didn’t hurt that they cuddled up with her. She’d been half draped over Spence when she’d first fallen asleep with Clay spooning her from behind. During the night she’d surfaced enough that she’d rolled over and snuggle
d up with Clay, while Spence had scooted closer and he’d cuddled her from behind. She’d been amazed by how well she’d slept because she’d never shared a bed with anyone before and had suspected she would be too anxious to drift off, but drift off she had. Those two handsome, sexy men had worn her out with all their lovemaking and she’d slept like a log.

She rubbed at her eyes and blinked the sleep haze from them. Sighing with disappointment, she realized that Spence and Clay were gone, but since it was so light she guessed that it was later than she would normally awaken.

Misha shoved the covers aside and rolled from the bed before heading to the bathroom. Once she was showered and dressed, she headed out to search for Clay and Spence. She heard the rumble of their deep voices from the kitchen area as well as the delicious aroma of cooking food. She stopped in the kitchen entrance to see Clay at the stove and Spence setting places on the other side of the counter. Spence must have seen her from the corner of his eye because he turned toward her. The smile that graced his face lit up his handsome features from the inside and his green eyes literally twinkled with happiness.

Spence stalked toward her and didn’t stop until she was in his arms. She sighed with contentment, with rightness, as she leaned against his big, warm, brawny body. Misha could get used to being with Spence and Clay far too easily, but that thought didn’t scare her like it would have a few weeks back. Now, she savored his clean fresh manly scent each time she inhaled through her nose and knew she would miss both of them when it came time for her to go back to the resort. Just that thought made her feel a little despondent but she pushed that emotion to the side. She was going to enjoy every second in their company and would worry about tomorrow…well, tomorrow. The whole day was ahead of them and she wasn’t about to let pessimism destroy the day.

“How are you feeling, honey?” Spence kissed her temple before nudging her face toward him. He scrutinized her face as if looking to make sure she was okay.

“I feel pretty damn good,” she replied and hugged him tight around the waist.

“I’ll bet you’re hungry,” Clay said as he moved in behind her and nipped at her earlobe. His warm moist breath tickled her ear and she couldn’t help but giggle.

“Now that’s a sound I like to hear.” Spence drew back as Clay moved back to the stove. “Come on, sweetheart, let’s sit and eat.”

“Can I help with anything?” Misha asked as she settled on the stool at the counter with Spence’s help.

“You certainly can, Misha.” Spence grinned and winked at her. “Tell me how you like your coffee, honey.”

“I can…” Misha had been about to slide off the stool but stopped when Clay frowned and pointed at her.

“Stay right where you are, baby.”

She nodded and sighed before telling Spence how she liked her coffee. Moments later there were three plates full of food and three cups of coffee on the counter. Both Spence and Clay sat on either side of her and they began to eat.

Misha moaned at the first bite of pancake, savoring the sweetness of maple syrup on her tongue. They were thick but light, just the way a pancake should be. After chewing and swallowing she met Clay’s gaze. “This is delicious. Thank you.”

Clay stroked a hand over her head and down her back. “You’re welcome, baby.”

Misha ate as much of the pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs as she could, but he’d put way too much food on her plate. By the time she’d eaten half, her belly felt as if it was bulging. She’d never been one to eat a lot first thing in the morning, if anything at all, however, she definitely downed a coffee or two to get her motor revving for the day.

“How’d you like to go horseback riding, sweetheart?” Spence asked as he finished off his plate before eying what was left on hers.

“Yes!” Misha smiled up at Clay. The day was already bright and sunny and although the temperature was supposed to get warm, it wasn’t going to be too hot.

“Have you had enough to eat, baby?” Clay nudged her arm with his.

  “More than,” she answered.

Clay’s hand moved toward her plate, but Spence was faster and snatched it up and put it down in front of him.

  “Hey!” Clay frowned.

“You snooze, you lose,” Spence snickered before shoving a large piece of pancake into his mouth.

Misha sipped on her coffee, trying to hide her smile.

“Think that’s funny, do you?” Clay asked.

  Misha nodded and laughed.

“I’ll teach you to laugh at me.” Clay grinned before taking the now empty mug out of her hand. He scooted his stool away from the counter and lifted her into his lap. He somehow managed to hold her over his lap and tickle her ribs at the same time. Misha laughed so hard tears rolled down her face, and tried to get Clay back by tickling his ribs whenever she could, but he didn’t flinch once. She kicked out and felt her foot connect with something hard and froze when she heard Spence grunt.

Clay lifted her to an upright position and Misha met Spence’s gaze. He was rubbing his side where she’d obviously kicked him. “I’m sorry, Spence, I didn’t mean to hurt you.”

Spence’s frown changed to a smile and when he winked at her, she knew he was yanking her chain. “You didn’t hurt me, sweetheart. I was hamming it up.”

  “Thank goodness.”

“If you’re all done, why don’t you go and finish getting ready for our ride while Clay and I clean up?”

“Why don’t you let me do the dishes since you both made breakfast?”

“How about we all work together and then we can head out faster?” Clay suggested.

“Sounds good.” Misha gripped Clay’s arms as he lowered her to her feet and all three of them worked to clear away the dishes and wipe the counter down.

She was looking forward to spending the day with them, and tried to keep her grief and worry about the serial killer on the loose to the back of her mind. She didn’t want anything ruining her time with Spence and Clay.

  Chapter Twelve

Clay couldn’t stop looking at Misha. She’d braided her long hair but it still shone blue-black beneath the sun’s rays. She looked so young and carefree at the moment and he was glad after losing her best friend so violently. He knew she was still grieving Janice Judson because there were still shadows in the depths of her blue eyes, but she was a strong woman who was enjoying the little things and wasn’t letting the grief consume her. She sat the horse she was riding as if she’d been born to it and he hoped like hell she would stick around for a long, long time, but he wasn’t going to rest easy until they had the psychopathic killer behind bars.

Jasmine Urban, the FBI profiler, was working with him and the others trying to figure out who was behind the killings. She’d gone to the resort today with Dawson and Kent to talk with the staff and the manager to see if she could get a read on everyone working there. Though Clay wished he knew who they were looking for, he knew they weren’t going to catch this bastard without Jasmine’s help. He was glad to have her on board.

He pushed thoughts of work away and pointed toward the line of trees on the ridge of the small slope which led to the creek. “That’s where we’re stopping, baby.”

Misha nodded and smiled at him.

He and Spence had gotten up early to prepare a picnic lunch and he hoped that Misha liked cold roast chicken, though he hadn’t met anyone yet who didn’t like chicken. He and Spence had stopped at the supermarket on the way home after their shift late yesterday afternoon to buy the things they needed for the outdoor meal. He just hoped that they hadn’t pushed Misha too far by riding for so long, but if she was stiff and sore, he was more than willing to give her a massage.

They stopped their horses beneath the shade of the trees, and after he dismounted, he lifted Misha down. She groaned when her legs straightened and he cursed under his breath. He should have known that the distance to the creek was too far for an unseasoned rider.

  “I’m sorry, baby.”

She stepped back when she was steady on her feet and frowned up at him. “What for?”

“I should have known this was too far for you to ride.”

Misha shook her head. “It wasn’t. I was okay until I straightened my legs.”

While Clay helped Misha, Spence had secured all three horses and grabbed the blanket as well as the saddle bags that he’d stored the food in. He glanced at Clay before meeting Misha’s gaze. “You can ride home with one of us.”

“I’ll probably be fine after having a break,” Misha said and took Clay’s hand in hers when he held it out to her.

“Doesn’t matter, baby. You’ll ride back with one of us. We don’t like the thought of you being in pain, and if you ride back, you probably won’t be able to walk tomorrow.”

“Okay,” Misha conceded with a sigh as Clay led her toward the top of the small slope. “Oh wow.”

Clay watched her take in the babbling creek, the soft green grassy banks, and the trees. She looked so reverent as she took in the picturesque landscape and his heart filled with love. He’d always liked having wide open spaces and hated the concrete jungles of the big cities. It seemed that Misha was just the same.

“Let’s go and eat lunch.” Spence walked down the hill, and when he got to the large grassy patch before the creek bank, he stopped and placed the saddle bags on the ground. He spread the blanket out, knelt, and began to remove the food.

“When did you all do this?” Misha asked as she went to her knees and shifted until she was sitting on that perfect, sexy little ass.

Clay and Spence had plans for that ass if she let them, but first things first. He sank to the ground on the other side of Misha and helped pass out the food. He’d even remembered to bring two small bottles of wine for their girl and a couple of bottles of beer for him and Spence. He passed the plate of chicken and salad to Misha with a small crusty roll of bread on the side, and when she’d taken it after thanking him, he put the bottle of wine in front of her.
