“Mean.” Her eyes glinted with mirth, and she bumped my hip. “I didn’t want to wait that long anyway. We’ll work that out later. Because one of us has to go to work, and it’s not me.”

  I smirked. “Bossy thing.”

She kissed the tip of my nose, then brushed her lips against mine. “And don’t you forget it.”

“Never,” I vowed. “I love you.”

  “Love you too.”

I might’ve come up with the idea for this story, but to get a book written takes a cast of more than one.

I couldn’t have gotten this one written without Tamsen, Sasha, Joy, Ericka, Michele, Jennifer and Cathy. They helped me turn Talia and Eve into real people with a real story to share.

And I couldn’t have spent the time I needed to on it without my family’s understanding that I needed them to go OUT so I could stay IN to write/edit.

Sarah Lyons was incredibly patient and understanding when my mother passed away in the middle of the submission/developmental edits process, and Carole-ann Galloway and the entire Riptide team have been amazing and I’m honored to be able to work with them.

My super-agent Courtney Miller-Callihan held my hand and answered about eleventy-billion questions on contracts and royalties and timelines.

My sincere thanks to all of you.

Jodie Griffin didn’t always want to be a writer. She spent hours reading, but school papers were written one painful word at a time. Then a story idea came, demanding to be put on paper. After years of practice, she took the leap, submitted her first manuscript and hasn’t looked back.

Jodie is also an avid photographer, a chocoholic, and a lover of bad puns. When she’s not writing, she’s likely out stalking the moon for that perfect shot.

Jodie’s own happily-ever-after includes one incredibly supportive husband and one future heroine. Visit Jodie at jodiegriffin.com.
