Captain of the Guard (Winged Beasts Series Book 1) Page 18

The female drove him crazy. Her hands were wreaking havoc on his senses and he was barely keeping in control because he was sensitive to her touch. Nothing mattered more right now than sinking his turgid flesh into her welcoming channel as far as it could go. Moving his weight sideways, they fell onto the bed but he caught his weight on his hands so it wouldn’t crush her. He growled his need up against her ear not wanting to wait any longer. His sense of smell told him she was ripe for the taking.

Situating his knees between her legs, he rocked back on them. Sliding his arms under her knees, he pressed up and his hands moved up to her ankles which he held beside her head. She was open to him completely and it made his cock weep with need. Moving his hips, he moved his cockhead to her center and slowly slid in to the hilt. He groaned low and needy, nothing felt like being immersed balls deep in his mate. Starting slowly, he moved in and out picking up speed as he went.

“Deeper, harder, oh my God!” screamed Bree.

  “Yes,” he cried.

He slammed into his mate as she urged him on. Her body rose to meet his as he drilled into her. Energy buzzed through them and he tingled all over, a warning of impending release. Faster he moved as his balls drew up and heat flashed over him just as he blew like a volcano sending a flood of seed deep into his lovely mate. Her reaction was to tighten around him and buck as an orgasm shook her core.

“Romo,” she keened and his hands tightened harder on her ankles. He suspected he would leave bruises but he was beyond control. The aftershocks began to alleviate and he eased her legs down and rolled over to lay at her side. Almost dizzy from the wild ride, he closed his eyes and relaxed for a moment.

Waking much later, he felt the warmth of his female pressed against him and while he felt tempted to recreate what they had just done, he knew he needed to see his mate fed and taken care of. “Bree,” he whispered.

  “Mm?”

“Wake up, Sweetheart. I need to take you to the dining room and feed you.” Her stomach growled like an angry beast in response and he chuckled.

Somehow, once they dressed and made it to the dining room, they managed to make it at supper time. Everyone looked up at them, probably because they missed lunch.

  “Hello everyone,” Romo greeted.

“Glad you could join us,” Tomi said her mood dark.

“You just missed the announcement,” Erak said. “We will be arriving at Draconis in the morning.”

  “That’s wonderful,” Bree observed.

Everyone sat around eating an exceptional meal and Romo watched Erak. It is clear to him, maybe because he has worked with him that a decision of some kind has been made and Romo knows it will not fare well for him. It is likely Tomi will disappear shortly after they land and Erak will enact the old mating customs. There will be nothing he can do and Bree and the rest of her family won’t be happy.

Once they finish the meal everyone goes their own way hoping to be rested when they arrive in the morning. Romo is aware that many things are going to change as soon as they step foot on Draconis. He will have much to do to settle in his family but some of them will not be with him for long. Kissing his mate, he settled in next to her cuddling up close and breathing in her sweet scent. When they wake in the morning, their journey will be complete and he will introduce his female to an entirely different life on a world completely alien to her and her family.

  Epilogue

They step off the ship onto a world that reminded her of the Middle Ages meets space. Bree looked around with awe filled eyes. “It’s beautiful here,” she said.

“I’ve always thought so,” Erak responded with pride. He held out his hand to help Tomi off the ship but she ignored him and stumbled almost falling forcing him to catch her. Tomi has always been the most stubborn one in the family. Erak looked like he enjoyed holding her even though she recoiled as if he was electrified. Hell, maybe he was to her. Romo made a buzz run through her sometimes.

“I’m fine now,” Tomi said as she shook herself free of Erak’s hold. She certainly knew how to anger him. His face looked like a storm cloud.

“Where are your manners Tomi,” Dori asked. “He could have let you fall.”

  “I would never,” Erak muttered.

“Thank you,” Tomi stated her face bright red with embarrassment. She knew her mom was right but it made her feel like a child being scolded. Dori nodded in approval.

Tomi might be forced to use her manners, but it wasn’t going to change her attitude toward Erak. Bree wasn’t sure anything but a major adjustment would. Tomi might be the biggest problem her family had in fitting in to this new world. Something she could only describe as an airbus pulled up in front of them. It was silver and shiny with room for a dozen or more people. It rode about six feet off the ground but when it pulled up she could hear the sound of air being released and it sank until it was only two feet off the ground. It would make it easy to enter and exit from the bus.

They loaded onto the bus and it took off as soon as they were seated. Bree looked out the window amazed at both the people, places, and animals she saw as they headed toward their destination. They headed down what looked like a major thoroughfare before turning off onto a smaller street and finally the equivalent of a lane. When they pulled in front of a house and stopped.

“We’re home, Bree,” Romo said proudly.

She stepped out of the bus and stood back taking in the whole picture of what she would have described as a house from the middle ages. It was large, she had no doubt it would house them all comfortably. There were large windows in the front and shutters that could be closed when needed. On the roof, a garden grew, literally. Flower boxes lined the bottom of the windows with flowering plants bursting from them. The door was huge and looked to be wooden. Had they been on Earth, she would have guessed oak. The hinges were metal and decorative.

She was excited to see the inside since the outside was so warm and inviting. Romo led the way and everyone followed him in. The ceilings were high and that led her to believe there weren’t four stories but only three. A huge chandelier hung in what looked like a dining room over a big trestle style table that would seat a dozen or more. The seating was bench style except for the throne like chairs at the head and foot of the table. There were two large sideboards, one on each side of the table.

Moving to the other side of the entry door, she saw the living room with heavy leather couches and chair. Moving back through the hallway, she found the kitchen and it looked much like the one on the ship except for the huge fireplace along one wall.

“The bedrooms are upstairs. What do you think of the house?” Romo asked.

She smiled at him and said, “I love it.”

It was clear to see his relief as he pulled her into his arms. “I just want you to be happy.”

Bree knew he meant it and she thought they would be. They would have to get her family settled and prepare for the baby, but in time she could see thinking of this as home. It was easy to imagine this house full of children and big family celebrations at the oversized table.

“You make me happy,” she replied and she meant it. There was a lot of change ahead, but with Romo at her side, they would work through it and come out better for it.
