Destiny, and the Red Orb (The Destiny Series Book 1) Page 19

by J Deleon

Gwen pulled back the arrow and kept it pointed to the ground.

  “Finish this.” Destiny spoke.

Gwen looked up at the Red Orb and sighed. “Let’s hope this works.” Gwen quickly pointed the arrow at Destiny and shot it straight through the torso. The arrow glowed as Destiny gave out a high pitched screech.

Emry and Adam were in shock, neither of them moved at first.

  “Hurry!” Gwen yelled.

Emry then ran up to Destiny and swung the hammer downwards at it, causing it to scream louder. Adam finally stared at Destiny and then at them two.

“Run with me!” The three ran as Adam swung the sword up at Destiny, dispersing the shadow and creating the colorful vortex that sucked them inside.

  The Red Orb

The energy of Destiny spread across the universe. Destiny was no more, but the three weapons were used together. With Destiny’s last will, the god (and the being that consumed it) used the incredible power of the three weapons to strike the Red Orb high in the sky, piercing it. The energy stopped inside of the orb and began to form a vessel in the center. The energy of the entire orb was being sucked inside of the vessel, forming a god.

The white sanctuary, where Destiny would speak with the chosen ones, vanished. There was only darkness left in its wake.

The palaces of the gods were crumbling down. Once the home land for the gods that commanded the universe, now had fallen into nothing. The castle of the God of Death, Abru, and the God of Life, Elumas, was the last to fall. No god was left. And as they all fell, only the Temple of Socrus, the God of Time, stayed. The chamber where the Bow of Time laid remained safe from the Red Orb.

A tremendous explosion filled the deep space of the universe, signaling to all the end of the Red Orb.

The Red Orb was now gone, leaving only the god hovering above Earth. The god that had been locked away since only Life, Death, and Time. The abomination. The child.

“They did it.” The god spoke in a very soft voice. “I’m free.”

  A Look Into:

  DESTINY, AND THE MULTIVERSE GAUNTLET

Hey, everyone. It’s me, Joshua! I hope you enjoyed the first entry in the Destiny Series. I put so much work into just this first book alone. Like, a lot. And I still have the second one to finish and another one after that. But it means the world to me that you took the time and effort to actually pick up my book and read it. I’ve been waiting (and still waiting) a very long time for you all to read this exciting and epic story I’ve created. There is so much more still to come to, but I’ll just let you read it for yourself when it’s done. I’m very excited about it!

Speaking of what’s to come, I would like to explain some things about the next book, Destiny, and the Multiverse Gauntlet: book two in the Destiny Series.

If you just can’t wait to see what’s to come for our protagonists in DATRO, well, I’m sorry. This book doesn’t focus on them. Instead, it revolves around three new main characters: Alex, Shannon, and Amber. But don’t worry, I know you’ll love them. I know I do.

Their story was originally supposed to be included into this book, but due to the overwhelming length, I chose to separate the two stories into two separate books. You’ll see why I chose to do this when you read it.

So, basically, Destiny, and the Multiverse Gauntlet also takes place way back at the beginning, like this one: right when the world ends. But the fun part about it is, they’re story is completely different than theirs in DATRO. While Cecily and the others have to survive at the end of the world, as Adam is inprisoned, and as Gwen and Emry search for their respective weapons, Alex, Shannon, and Amber are on a much more exciting quest: searching for the remaining weapons from all of the other gods that are going missing thanks to Him.

Sounds fun, right? Well, that’s not even the half of it.

As you read the next installment in this large multiverse, you will come to understand and love these new characters. And plus, they are the three who find the Multiverse Gauntlet: the most powerful item in all of the Multiverse.

That’s all I have to say about it for now. You’ll see what I have instored for all of you when you read the second part in this three part epic. So, as a sneak peek, here’s a small piece of what’s to come.

Now, prepare to enter the multiverse.

  Alex

There was only darkness. Alex blinked his eyes, begging for sight. He flustered his chest in and out. There was nothing he could see.

Alex began to panic. His heart raced uncontrollably. He moved the gauntlet around, doing everything he could to send him back.

“There is so much more that you haven’t seen…yet.” A voice echoed in his head. “You always dreamt of knowing the truth beyond your world, but you don’t choose to see it firsthand.”

Alex was about to pass out. The feeling was too overwhelming. He couldn’t take it.

“A multiverse with infinite possibilities. Millions upon millions of universes just like your own. Imagine: infinite universes with the Red Orb in it, and an infinite amount without it. Or better yet, see it.”

Images of all instances in all of the universes flashed before his eyes. From the dinosaurs to the demise of entire alien races, Alex was able to see everything. The extinction of mankind. The birth of new life. Universes of all types. Anything was possible.

He saw life on every planet spread throughout. He learned of names and heritage. The knowledge was too much.

“You don’t know how much power you possess in your hand.” The voice referred to the strange gauntlet. “What you could do. What you could create. What you could destroy.”

  Alex felt his body weakening.

“But where you stand right now, is somewhere that transcends it all. Outside of everything. Where we live.”

Alex felt the gauntlet slowly lift his hand up and close his fist.

“Enter our world for a change. Enter the Multiverse.” The voice spoke.

Alex was forced to take in a deep breath.

  “Go.”

His fist turned as he felt himself surge through the empty space and into the multiverse.
